Our 9 year old springer has premature arthritis in both front legs. We are managing it (keeping her weight down and over the counter joint support tables and NSAIs if she trips/takes off after a squirrel) but on recommendation from another springer owner with an older dog who has worse arthritis, we tried the Streamz collar. We noticed that Joy was more comfortable/less stiff in the evening almost straight away (we leave the collar on all the time). After a month, we feel the swelling is down, and she has a definite ‘spring’ in her step. We think she sleeps more soundly / comfortably. We still moderate her level of free running, but she has not limped/been stiff getting up since we put it on her. My only criticism is that the metal clasp makes the collar heavier than I would like given we leave it on all the time. She does not seem bothered, but I feel it’s heavy.Aimee M.

Ross is a 4 year old male standard poodle who slipped at the age of 4 months causing an injury to his spine that became increasingly severe, causing him a lot of pain. In November 2018 he had surgery to increase the diameter of the forama through which the nerves to both back legs pass, to relieve the damage and pain that was being caused by increasing constriction of those passages. Ross made a good recovery with hydrotherapy, physiotherapy and acupuncture all used to secure the optimum improvement to his condition. Although Ross made steady progress he was left with a degree of discomfort, persistent muscle spasm in his spine, and residual nerve damage as demonstrated by his rear legs (particularly his left leg) showing persistent twitching and muscle spasms when he was at rest. The magnetic collar was added to his treatment regime a month ago and I have been monitoring progress. The best markers on Ross’ physical condition are behavioural. Since he started wearing the collar we have seen the re-emergence of some play behaviours (particularly rearing up and mouse pouncing on toys); he is more relaxed and cheerful around his dog friends and he has stopped running to hide when offered a walk. He now retreats a bit but is not leaving and hiding, and his confidence about going out is gradually improving. My perception is that the muscle spasms in his back legs, when at rest, are also slightly reduced. Overall, I am satisfied that the addition of the collar to his therapy regime is progressively improving his condition and helping to relieve the nerve pain in his legs and spine. I was sufficiently impressed that I have purchased a collar for my older dog, a retriever, who is showing early signs of arthritis. Ross has now resumed his career as a competition Heelwork to Music dog, which requires good mobility. He is working well without signs that he is compromised by his medical condition. Our lab/retriever cross became frightened of loud noises, using the collar has steadily improved the situation. It doesn't work immediately, be patient for a week or even two. A noise de-sensitisation CD (follow the instructions exactly) will also help considerably. I loved this collar. It makes my aussie look so tough. I ordered medium thinking about the size my pups neck would grow into and I learned these are true to size and cannot be adjusted so much because of the 2 custom patches, but I was able to move one of the patches through the collar and it worked for me. Another thing I noticed is the image online for came brown/tan looks a lot darker than the actual color so I just trusted the description and it turned out great. I think it's really important to take a minute and write a good honest review especially giving credit where credit is due. It's easy to get a good quality product in quick timing and move on with your day, but let me tell you, I'm pleasantly surprised and really happy with the collar we got for our Mal. The collar is very well made, great quality, beautiful embroidery and inner padding. It's just badass abd looks beautiful on our Belgian Malinois. Most importantly, VERY quick shipping! We got this collar just a week after ordering it (like literally a label was made next day and took six days to deliver to us via USPS) and the customer service team or the owner of this company emailed us back within an hour when we had emailed a question about our order. Their response time for a question (had question on sizing) is definitely within 24 hours even for non urgent concerns like sizing. The quality of this quality is even better than I thought. I didn’t know if I would like the handle or not but I’m glad I went with it. I love the green color and glad I chose it, looks great with the bone colored stitching. I ended up switching from the medium to small at the last minute and the small is still just a tad too big and my dog is 67 lbs. I just wish the sizing started off smaller. I bought this collar and the matching lead about a week ago. The collar is wide and has a decent weight to it. Not so heavy I'm worried about the added weight being a burden, not so light I'm worried about it not holding up. The stitching is even and secure. The colors are vibrant. The length was easy to adjust without seeming unreliable. The buckle has a "Lock" feature to prevent break-away/ accidental unbuckling. I was skeptical on this at first and was worried that my dog might pull and break the clasp, but I really wanted something that was more adjustable than a typical buckle collar can provide. Our pup is still growing and sometimes a whole hole move is too much! Turns out this is very well made. The buckle is metal and clips together and stays together very well.
