Our vet first prescribed this dog food when our Westie was very, very sick from inflammatory bowel disease several years ago. We had tried everything, including home cooked food for Brody. The medicine for IBD has a lot of side effects and actually mad him sicker. Brody was very weak and we truly thought we were going to loose him if we did not get some answers quick. Once his stomach had calmed down from anti-nausea meds, we tried him on the Potato Venison d/d. That was several years ago and he has been doing fantastic every since. He will occasionally have an upset stomach, but I think that may be from something he has eaten in the yard. He is a terrier and he loves to "hunt" for small animals, but he always gets sick if he eats something off his prescription diet. I know this food is supposed to be primarily for skin allergies, but I want people to know it works very well for major stomach issues also. It is expensive, but so are frequent visits to the vet. My best friend (dog) had got mange, as a pup he had gotten it off another pup. Unaware of what it was took him to the vets an they wanted ridiculous money to help him. I've been using Nu-Stock on my horses for almost two decades and it is unmatched in results. Not only does it heal every kind of wound — from cuts and scrapes to summer sores — super fast, the horse's hair grows back in its natural color, rather than the white hairs that generally grow back, leaving a permanent "scar," at wound locations. It also goes on as a paste that protects from — and repels – flies and gnats drawn by open wounds. Nu-Stock contains sulfur and should be handled with gloves by anyone allergic to sulfur. It used to come in a jar, which made it easy to stir when the oil separated from the paste. Now it comes only in the tube, which makes it hard to re-mix the ingredients, so I highly recommend squeezing the contents of the whole tube into a plastic container with tight-fitting lid immediately. Over time, the product will begin to dry out, and you can add baby oil and stir well to regain the moist paste consistency. It is well worth this small effort for the results, which are unbeatable. I have a 2 yr. old Maltese dog. This product is helpful, but you need to let it stay on for a few minutes before you rinse it off, and I don't have the patients. However, it does help with the tear stains. At least the stains aren't unsightly. I could/should do better and leave it on to work better.4petmom

As my dog has only been on Angel Eyes for less than 3 weeks it is hard for me, at this time, to review this product. I have not seen a difference yet, but I use it daily and expect it may take up to a month or more before I see results. I will give it the entire bottle to see if the results advertised become become the result I want. I can tell you that my dog seems to like it very much and licks the bottom of her bowl to make sure she hasn't missed any. For those of you scratching your head wondering why Angel Eyes is no longer working, the news isn't good. I have a Pomapoo and a Bichon and the original wipes worked like a miracle and my four-legged babies had clean eyes always. Then the change happened. The miracle ingredient was removed about three years ago. I have tried many products and nothing works as well for my dogs. I'm glad that some of you still find some various forms of the product to your standards. Currently I use a fragrance free lotion, careful to put just a thin coating on the stain, rubbing it in gently to soften the hard crusty eye secretions and as it softens, gently use a small pet brush or fingers depending what works best for you and your pet. I also make a paste out baking soda and use a childs toothbrush and wash they stains, careful to keep it out of their eyes. Just my two cents. Use at your own discretion. I have been using this on My Maltese for many years, used to have antibiotic in it which I believed was the active ingredient that was working, and you had to get it from the U.S. Due to U.K. laws on this without prescription. The new version easily available in he U.K. is now just as affective and you can see it start to dry up the runny eyes in about 5 days of starting it. Keep using it until has totally dried the eyes and you don't need to keep using it. one level mustard spoon size amount on there dinner or on the tongue. I have been told pink staining is a fungal infection that can spread from eye to the mouth causing the whole face to be pink or black stained. No its like everything else I have tried does not work I can't even get my cats to get it down. When I first got it I let my cat smell it and he literally gagged (should have stopped there)?then I put it in a syringe and gave it to him and he threw up right after I gave it to him. My 20 y.o. senior cat has had upper respiratory issues since he was 1 year old, but had gotten so chronic and so bad that he has literally had a stuffy nose and sneezing for an entire year straight. It was really draining his energy. Even in the summer, he was spending all day in his heated bed. The only thing my vet knew of that might help was an off-label use of Cerenia, which is expensive and was hard to get him to take. Out of desperation I tried this, and that same day I could tell a noticeable difference in my cat's ability to breath and how he felt. I've been taking care of homeless cats and trying to find them forever homes for around 8 years. A lot of the babies have gotten eye infections. One of our dogs starting having a lot of accidents after she turned 10. We started implementing this into her diet and definitely have seen an improvement. The accidents didn’t stop completely but they went from a couple a day to once every couple of weeks. My Labrador had stitches in her front leg right on the ankle joint so it was at high risk of infection as very close to the bone. I was hoping this would negate the need for the huge buster collar however, she would still lick at it through the sleeve and make it wet therefore increasing the risk of infection to the wound. She therefore still had to wear the buster collar as well as the sleeve to stop her licking it. Within a couple of days, there was a hole in the material of the sleeve and since then, a further tear has developed, so the quality of the material is not that good. She has also worked out how to get her leg out of it so all in all, it hasn’t been that great! That said, I would still recommend using one as it was better than not having the wound covered at all but for me, it didn’t negate the need for a buster collar unfortunately.Julieann
1 Very happy owner and one calm snoring Dog. He`s been at the top of his leg the last few days and licked it raw . No socks long enough and a long sleeved T shirt was not a success . Ordered this sleeve out of desperation . Money well spent ….. came in a flash and as soon as I put it on he seemed really excited and happy, running round barking the way he does before we go a walk. Now he`s sleeping and not looked at his leg once. I received Strella Lab’s Allergy Relief Immune Chews with omega-3, pumpkin, and enzymes. They are skin and coat supplements for itchy skin relief. My dog suddenly got a horrible skin rash and I decided to try these natural chews. First of all, she didn’t like the taste, but she is VERY finicky. Secondly, when I did get her to take them, she wouldn’t take as many as she was supposed to, so they didn’t seem to help her much. I got these for my father's Senior dog, Max. Max wandered into my parents' property as a puppy… must likely dropped off in the woods as were many strays in that area. There was always something wrong with his front leg and, due to his complete distrust of humans (my parents owned him for years before he let anyone touch him), we assume he was mistreated by the people who abandoned him. As he's friend older, his front leg has worsened and he has a very hard time getting around in general. He's such a sweet old guy and still wants to be able to play with the puppies, but his old body argues with him. We began giving him these chews, which he completely enjoys the flavor of. My GSD Cora had been very slow getting up at night and would be stiff moving around when she would first wake up. I had recently switched her off a large breed food that had glucosamine in it because it was causing a skin allergy. We switched to Purina Pro Plan for sensitive skin and stomach and it cleared her skin but without the glucosamine she was struggling. After receiving this we got right to business trying it and just a few days later she is back to her old self. She now is back to sleeping on the floor and rolling on her back with her legs spread out. (Very unladylike) She is back to full throttle playing frisbee outside. The pump on the bottle is convenient but it does take a while for it to get primed. About 4 pumps equals a little less than a tablespoon. I have 2 chihuahua mix dogs, Peaches and Sparky are both rescues and absolute blessings. Peaches will be 3 in may and has been with me 2 1/2 years. Peaches has a rare genetic condition called Legg-Calve-Perthes disease. Basically her femoral head has deteriorated causing her to limp in pain.
