This product is a blessing! My dog was an escape artist, but no more. He also is more into the family now, then trying to run and get out! He learned real quick where his boundries are and stays within them! I opened one of the side gates and tried to call him through it and he wanted no part of it, until I shut down the gate and then he came to me! The wire hook up was light weight and cheap. When the connectors fall of you can twist the wire around the pig tails from the outside alloawing it to work.tippintfarms

This product will shock your animal inside! We have a 6 pound chihuahua who is now utterly confused. The collar picked up on the housing wiring and went off repeatedly before we could figure out what was going on. Maybe it's just our home, but we are really having to convince the puppy that it's okay to be inside.Dennis

It's been working great! We ordered the high tech pet humane containment system, and our pupper has been staying home! It only took about a day for her to learn, and now we are looking forward to purchasing ad ons like the barrier pad and the pet door that locks when the dog is away from the door.Jjp1234

I would give zero if it was an option. The signal only works when the collar is touching the wire. It went through the test phase totally fine, and so I proceeded to bury 500 feet of wire, only for it not to work. SO DISAPPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED doesn’t even begin to explain how I’m feeling.Courtneymb

Don’t waste your time on this very cheaply built system. The wire constantly broke. Collars had static noise. High Tech did refund, so that was a plus. We bought ours through Costco.Hntmom

I got this for my foster kitten room. It's very easy to set up and can be used in "landscape" or "portrait" orientation to create the height needed. The best part about it is that since it's not a wire cage, they can't get their little feet into the grid and climb over. I'm very happy with this purchase.kathlovi_0

It is cheaply made. The metal parts along the edges are so thin that they bend so easily with any weight against it. And the black round parts that are supposed to hold this together pop off. They are not strong enough, nothing of this is. Completely breakable & incapable of providing protection due to the fact that it constantly falls apart. I so wished this was otherwise more durable because I loved the idea of it!nancy41195

Easy to put together and handle. The plastic version is perfect for small pets. I used it to create a Rabitat for my two male rabbits. They ended up not getting along so I simply put a divider in.psychopranx

I love everything about this dog pen, except that one of the panels was missing the upper hinge. I did not want the hassle and wastefulness of returning the entire large and heavy item. I tried to see if I could just get a single replacement panel, but I don't know how to do that. I guess I will just keep it and only use 7 of the panels *Sigh* (If anyone can get a single panel replacement – please let me know!) The raised gate is perfect for not rubbing on the floor and scratching it up. the panels are not too heavy I could construct the pen easily. I love that there are different shapes that you can make with the panels, depending on your space available. The height and sturdiness of the panels is just right for a medium to medium large dog.Barbara

If I could give zero stars I would. It has rusted so badly HUGE FLAKES fall off of it. Not only is it now unattractive I worry about the health of my dog. The rust is merely from getting wet from his water bowl and a squirt bottle. I’ve had this LESS by THAN 90 days and they are telling me they will not do anything about it because it’s past the 90 day return window! IT IS NOT. I have used this to host puppy playdates over 2 years. Cannot be happier with purchase. My front yard is not completely fenced; There was a need to fence off, but not permanently as we use front yard for other purposes. Fences are flexible, can be set up in any figures as needed. Once I figure out where to put fences, it takes 10 mins to set up, 10 mins to take down. I initially bought 2 sets, and neighbors and friends praised, and we had so many puppy visitors. That led me to buy 1 more set so the playpen could be bigger. Despite I have 3x sets, once taken down, they store nicely in small tight space on the side of house. Each set comes with 1 panel with a door. Since I have 3x sets, I have 3x panels with door. I set up door fences on three sides of yard for convenience. Summer days, we had playpen every evening. Throughout year, we hosted playpen for every possible occasions; puppy birthday, anniversary, holidays, new puppy debut… We initially worried that some dogs might jump out and run away, but that never happened. Dogs are capable, but wanted to stay inside for fun. We actually had dogs jump in. If you need to just hold puppies around 1 – 3 months, you could buy 1 set. But, if you are planning any meaningful puppy playdate, you will need minimum 2 sets, most likely 3or 4. What I did was to measure my yard, look at the product specs, and figured how many panels I needed. You will need to do that before placing order.sakuraforsale

We purchased this product to contain our black Lab Robodog. He is a very determined dog and we were skeptical that any non-physical barrier would contain him. We purchased the High Tech Pet fence and it really changed our lives. It took about 4 hours to install the wire around our 3/4 acre yard. Set up took just minutes. The training was simple and easier than we thought. Robodog was trained and contained in a total of 4 days! Now, he respects the boundary and has stopped chasing after the neighbor's cats and other animal friends and doggie distractions. We now have piece of mind letting him out. The Humane Contain electronic fence is clearly the best one on the market. I am an electronics engineer and a pet owner so, I am aware of the top notch engineering done in the pet field by High Tech Pet Products, the manufacturer of this system. But, I still did my homework before deciding which product was best for my home and my two dogs. I looked at features, specifications and price and decided the Humane Contain system, provided that it lived up to its claims, was the best value to be found. Upon receiving the product from Sam’s Club, I must say that I was impressed with the quick shipping and, most of all, the quality of the product. The base station transmitter is fully water sealed for outdoor mounting which was a plus for me because I wanted to mount the unit on the outside wall of my utility shed. It has a rechargeable battery back-up which I have not seen on any other electronic fence. The transmitter has a user display with an array of illuminated indicators that show you status of the battery, the field wire, the power mode and the overall system condition. I found this very useful because it let’s me see the system condition at a glance. I also noticed that it alerts you with an audible tone when the back-up battery charge is low. There is also an audible warning if the field wire becomes disconnected or broken. The large field adjustment knob is also a good idea. Of course, I couldn’t help but hook it up to an oscilloscope to check out its radio properties. The transmitter works at 14 kilohertz. This is different from the what competing systems that state an operating frequency of 7 – 10 kilohertz. This means that the Humane Contain was not likely to be affected by my neighbor’s electronic fence. I also noticed that the radio signal is very well generated with a digital code embedded in the signal. Pretty advanced stuff for a dog product. The collar also seems to be unique in that it delivers its shock stimulus in short pulses. This seemed curious to me until I read the manual which states that this works better at teaching the dog to respect the boundary without immediately causing trauma and confusion. In training my dogs this appears to be the case although, I have not tried others brands for a comparison. The collar is fully waterproof – a big, big plus – and it has a built-in test button that sends it through a diagnostic mode verifying that the battery, radio receiver and output stimulus are working. Another major concern is the collar battery life. The unit uses a proprietary battery, something which I did not like at first because you have to get them from Sam’s Club or a Humane Contain dealer. I purchased the extra battery 12 pack to be safe. After using this system for nearly a year now, I am happy to report that the collar batteries are lasting about three months so I am set on batteries for a few years. Hands down, the most impressive feature this fence has to offer is the proportional stimulus. As the dog approaches the boundary the rate of shock pulses increases. One of my dogs stops within the first few pulses. The other one (surprisingly the smaller one) goes much closer to the boundary wire and is willing to take more shocks before finally giving up and retreating back toward the house. I really like how the system is designed to tailor the shock to match the individual temperament of my dog’s. All in all, I was pleased that I made the right selection by purchasing this system from Sam’s Club. I believe it is not just the best product for the money but, the best engineered electronic dog fence at any price!Ebob

My BF and I adopted a 7month old black lab. We live in the country with 45 acres, and know we wanted him to be able to run freely. However, he was getting more confident and running away to far off neighbors yards and not coming back. So, after a lot of research, and reading reviews about this product, we made the purchase, ordered a few extra spools of wire, and haven't looked back yet! We have changed the settings around a few times, especially during training, and are so happy with the product. The beeping & pulsating of the collar before the actual jolt is just perfect for our lab. He gets his warning and is already on the retreat before it gets intense. He hasn't tried to run through it, and when the line has broken, it was a very easy quick fix. the Instructions were 100% helpful, and training was a cinch! Having the double collars is awesome too, we switched out the tough plastic collar with a real-tree camo vinyl collar for the spring/summer and a blaze orange reflective one for the fall/winter. adding the transmitter piece was very easy too! I have recommended this product to a few friends already, and they have all been successful as well!vhartel9

I love Hayneedle, but the company that made this fence should have sent instructions; and the gate should have been assembled instead of coming in different strands of wire. We never did get it together, the wires were different sizes and bent. We finally made our on wire to put on the gate. Hayneedle was very understanding about the way we received this product.Ruby

Overall good product that meets the needs of our pup. It is helpful to have more then two people to apply the chain link to the frame. Also the wire pieces provided to secure the chainlink to the frame are a heavy gauge wire, very hard to bend. We used heavy zip ties , made the job much easier /faster.SRS7503

The picture is very false. Expected it to be in panels to put together. EZ it says EZ it's not. Came in pieces including having to put frame together then wrap chain link around like putting a fence up. So it is not EZ when there is one person and a 10x 10×5 comes in a 5 by 15×12 inch box. Very, very disappointed. To return I would have to pay for $50-$100 shipping. Had to paid someone to put together. Very deceiving. Would never recommend.Linda
