With a larger dog have a helper to keep the dog from backing away from the prick of the needle. I have been purchasing Beneful for at least 4 years, if memory serves. After receiving some coupons in our newspaper, I decided to purchase Beneful to see if one of my older dogs would have less digestion problems. Logan loves every flavor that Beneful makes! Like older adults, older dogs need dietary items that are good and good for them. Logan likes the Beneful dry also, but he does better on Beneful Wet foods. Our Vet says that even though Logan has been mistreated to the point that he has his digestion problems, Beneful is the best food for him and his 14 yr old system. Thenpre packaged portions was perfect for her and was given one package a day along with her hard food and she was always asking for more! I took my now 5 month old kitten (4 LB 6 oz) to the vet yesterday and decided I should get him a different carrier, one that would be more comfy for him and easier for me to carry too! Again, he is a 5 month old kitten, unfortunately he JUST fits into this carrier. Also, the shoulder/crossbody strap is impossible to latch on because the plastic on the latch has no give. I've had other Sherpa pet totes in the past and I wish this were made in a similar manner, providing strong support on the bottom but it does not. I am concerned after reading other reviews about kitties clawing their way out. I would be mortified. It seems to be of decent quality in terms of the fabrication and stitching. I do not want to return but feel the size is a major issue and for $30. I'd rather not have a carrier that can only be used for a few months. To begin with; our pooch is a tall & lean 92lb Catahoula mix with a deep chest. He's a big boy, but I'd not say especially long. I mention the legnth because the XL Carhartt jacket isn't long enough… stopping 3" short of our Catahoula's tail. Despite his deep chest, the lower straps are at least 4" too long & must be overlapped with more than 2" protruding on both sides. The front strap is also a bit too long but less than 2". The Velcro holds well but we've only used the jacket a few times so far – I've read less than positive reviews about the Velcro not holding up past a year – a buckle would be nice (& we may add this). The jacket is rather stiff & when our dog turns or manuvers, the rear portion swings out a little left/right (like a hoop skirt) away from the ribcage, leaving the rump exposed, but this isn't a big deal & the stiffness will probably relax somewhat after repeated use &/or a wash. There's no opening for a harness, but an opening could be cut & nicely stitched pretty easily – we're going to do this. Having said all that we do like the jacket – it's made of tough Carhartt fabric (VERY important for adventurous doggies!), it stays in place even during vigorous rabbit chases through deep brush & offers very good protection… keeping in mind there's NO coverage underneath. We plan to get an additional "sweater" type garment to be worn as a base layer on colder days.Catahoulas are awesome

We have 2 dobermans and live in a very rural, snowy area. They play/wrestle constantly and they shredded through 4-5 coats due to their playing. We finally found the Carhartt Dog Chore coat and they've lasted 2 years now. I would've given this product 5 Stars, but there are 2 issues I can't ignore: 1) One dog is 65lbs and the Large size is a little small on her (because, as a Doberman, she has a huge ribcage). Our other dog is 85lbs and the XL is huge on him. So the fit range seems to be inconsistent. 2) The velcro lost most of its grip after the first year. Also, the stitching holding the velcro on is coming out. We need to use rubber bands to keep the coat strapped on. All that said, this is still the most functional and durable dog coat we've found.DougP

I have two dogs, a sm/md hound and a thin, barrel chested md sheppard. Sadly, I haven't actually found anything that fits my sheppard properly and thats the case here, medium is too small and large she swims in. So this review is for the hound. He is a perfect fit in a medium and I believe he weighs around 33-36lbs. The girls at the coffee stands absolutely think he is adorable, which is true. I love the jacket and so does he. but what is frustrating is the velcro straps have worn out in about 4 months of heavy use. I do believe thats partly on my end because they really are hard on jackets and harnesses. That said, I wish the jackets included two brass buttons or snaps in additon to the velcro to help prevent snags ripping the straps apart when they play and run in the forest. If you are not going to use this every day, or the dogs are not 2 and 3 years old at the dog park multiple times a week, like mine, I fully recommend this jacket. It is great, it just isn't up to real heavy, rough use for more than a few months. The teeth of the velco just start to pull out over time and then there are not enough left to hold it seccure. I will buy again, but im a little bummed about it. the jacket has a nice patina to it… there should also be an access hole for a harness loop to pass through, but there isn't. I have two rescues, who when they arrived on my doorstep, steeling the cat food, would eat anything. I've had them for four months, and they are no longer starving. The foods they ate before, they no longer will. If they can get the little paws on trash or people food, they go crazy. But I've tried three kinds of dry food, and two kinds of wet food, and they would rather go hungry. I even started feeding them cooked chicken, but I think it was too rich for them, as they stopped eating that, too. I stood in the aisle for a long time reading labels. They are really tiny dogs and very old, so I wet the kibble with water, let it get soft, and then they will eat it. I am crossing my fingers that they continue to do so.

We received a bag of the Blue Buffalo Wholesome Grains Salmon, Oats and Barley Adult dry dog food to sample. This was our first time feeding this food to our dog Otis, who happens to be a picky eater. The first day we introduced this food to him, he took a couple of moments to sniff around, he knew it was different food, he started to eat the food and finished the whole bowl, which is unusual for him because he always leaves some behind. He seemed very content after his meal and filling, usually after a few hours he is rummaging around for food. The food was very natural, not overwhelmed with smell. Otis had good bowel movements after eating. He comes running over when he hears me pouring out the food, to me a sign he is loving it, I am happy with this brand and will continue to feed him this brand and introduce some other flavors as well. This is the only brand of dog food that doesn’t upset my Pitbulls stomach. Plus she absolutely loves it! I can even give her individual kibble pieces as treats because she loves it that much. However, I personally think that the guide for how much food you should give your dog per day is very inaccurate. It says to give my 45lb Pitbull 2x the amount of food than what the vet said to give her. If I gave her the amount of food the bag suggested, she would be so overweight. I have two Boston terriers. One of which has very sensitive issues when it comes to dog food. It would literally be months before I was able to find a dog food that he would eat without vomiting. It honestly became part of my daily routine to clean vomit up 20 to 30 minutes after “Wesley“ ate. My vet recommended many many dog foods and all to the same avail, vomiting 20 minutes after he ate. I then decided to take my own route and try science diet. To say the least it has been the answer to my questions my problems and everything else that goes along with owning a dog with sensitive stomach issues. I recently changed my dog over from a purina food that shes been on fir many years to Hills science diet Age defying dry dog food. I folliwed my vets instructions and slowly weaned my dog over. We went threw the first 2 bags with now problem. By the time we got 3 bags in she was eating just the Hills Science Diet. When i purchased and first opened bag #3 to feed my dog she sid not eat rite away. This is Highly unlike my pup who normally gobbles all down in seconds. Eventually though, she ate the food and i didnt think much more. In the next 24 hours soft stool started. This continued for 2 days befor turning ti bloody stool. An abrubt visit to the vet uncovered no real answer other than obvious vissous diarrhea. They reccomended a bland diet of white rice and boiled chicken and perscribed and anti-inflammatory/anti diarrghea medication and reccomended possible emergency vet visit if not improved in the coming days. I took my do off the Hills food and instantly she seemed to improove. After finihing the medication from the vet they reccomended slowly weaning off the chicken &rice back onto her normal diet. So i added a small bit if the Hills bag of food that we had (bag #3) and back came the issue. Back to the vet, more test…no conclusion. Stoped and went back to chicken and rice and Improvement again! Finially decided ti go back and get a bag if our old purina dog food and stated trying to wean from chicken and rice to this dry dog food….success! Vet concluded all signs lead to this bag of Hills Science diet was the ussue…..you must recall!!!!save your animals people!! DDONT FEED

I Purchased 2 poodles two years apart. I started them on Puppy then small dog to adult dog, The final years of their lives I switched back to puppy. Each of my dogs were given the dry food. I bought Pedigree Small Breed a week ago and my Maltese / Shih Tzu mix loves it! It's very easy for her to chew, the size of the pieces are perfect for her. There are so many brands she hasnt exactly been a fan of at all. Nearly as if she would have to really starve herself to build the courage to eat but not Pedigree foods! With Pedigree, her poop is also showing healthy signs in color, size and texture. She's much more energetic after eating sleeps a lot better due to not having any upset stomach aches or still being hungry! We started our two month old female standard poodle on Eukanuba chicken puppy and had mixed success. The dog food she was on at the breeder seemed quite successful but the vet recommended Eukanuba. Dog has never relished the food but will eat it mixed with a few tablespoons of canned food. Any other treats added to diet will cause diarrhea. On the plus side, she has grown appropriately and is not over or under weight. I have had trouble buying new bags. Lack of supply from Eukanuba says food store. My 4 month old King Charles Spaniel doesn't touch this dry food without Royal Canin wet puppy food mixed in it. She used to run to the bowl and finish the food in seconds, after I switched the dry food to this one, she smells it and then walks away. When she does eat it with the wet food I've noticed she's starting scratching and itching like she has fleas or a skin condition although she has been given Bravecto and the vet said her skin is fine so it must be the food. Kibble was all over the inside of the box. Looks like the seams of the bag are held together by really weak glue and not tightly sealed. I won’t feed my dog compromised kibble. I ordered 3 – 15 lb bags of kibble the same day and just got to opening this shipment. Wanted to try out this brand. My little fussy Cavalier King Charles Spaniel just loves his Incredibites for small dogs. I have been feeding it to him for his breakfast (in a Kong toy so he has to work for it!) as well as for dinner. And since he is very "food motivated" and he has a sensitive stomach, I also use it for treats to train him. Many of the expensive "training treats" I purchased for him made him sick. After spending so much money on Purina Pro Plan because Golden shouldn’t be on grain free due to developing heart issues, he would turn his nose up at the Chicken and Salmon flavors we bought. We then tried Science Diet then back to Purina all the while wasting so much food and $. Finally I remembered my brother fed his 16.5 year old Dalmatian Beneful her entire life and she did so well on it. So I just picked up a bag of Salmon Beneful and our boy scarfed it up, wanting more. Now maybe it’s because he’s gone literally two whole days refusing his other food but if he continues to eat this, I’m just sticking with it. I do wish however, they did NOT use artificial coloring! I received a little bag of this and normally feed my dog high quality expensive food but thought I would give them a little. They love it more than any other food they've had before (Purina pro plan, Costco, tractor supply, zignature). The Blue Buffalo Life Protection Beef and brown rice flavor was a HUGE hit!! I have two Labs and they are a little picky when it comes to dog food. I think they may be a little too pampered and spoiled to be honest. They only like the finer things in life. I have given my dogs Blue Buffalo dog food before, but it was the chicken and rice formula. I knew they would be super excited to try the Beef and rice formula. And I was right!! This formula may be the best formula that Blue Buffalo makes. My dogs went crazy for it. As soon as I opened the bag you should have seen their little noises going. They are both very well behaved dogs and they acted like little kids at a candy store. They LOVED it. The smell is mild and not too overpowering. Some dog food stinks horribly, this was not the case here. It actually had a very pleasant smell to it. My dogs definitely enjoyed it and knew exactly what it was when I opened the bag. I love how the formula is very small bite sized pieces. It is easier for the dogs to eat and prevents any chocking hazards. I didn’t taste it myself, but I can vouch for the flavor by the way my dogs enjoyed it so much. They both thought it tasted wonderful. They did not have any allergies to the food and it did not hurt their bellies to make the subtle transition to the Blue Buffalo food. Oh my goodness! I received a Ripplestreet Box in my mailbox and it was Blue Life Protection Beef & Brown Rice. I gave some to my shih tzu and she absolutely loves it! I have never seen my dog eat like that before! She loves it so much that she refuses to eat any other dog food at all! She even keeps going to the Blue Bag and begs for more. When I put some in her bowl she eats all of it then, and before she was always eating science diet and she would eat a little bit and walk away. Such a fantastic play set for my 5 year old daughter. Easily her favourite toy to play with. The packaging is mostly cardboard and easy enough to open. I often find the string used to tie toys to the box is very hard to cut open but didn't have the same problem with this toy. All the little items were safety stored in the box. Overall the set looks great. Easy to use and safe to play with (not safe for smaller children as it contains a lot of small parts). I really liked how many little details were taught of when making this set. There are loads of small animals to play vet with (all very cute) with little nests for them. Tiny bottles and syringe.. even a stethoscope around Barbie's neck. The treehouse is quite detailed as well and such joy to play with. Barbie itself is dressed to the job and good quality. I don't think I've got any complaints regarding this set. Only thing to mentioned to keep way from small children as mentioned before but that's also marked on the box. Would definitely recommend buying this for a child who perhaps wants to become a pet.. or even if not they probably will after playing with this toy.KatS

It gives children the chance to use their imagination to treat and care for all the fun loving animals that come with this set. It comes with 2 feeding bottles, a syringe, a rescue basket, animal food, and Barbie even has a stethoscope. It comes with a few animals a deer, a rabbit and baby rabbit, a squirrel and baby squirrel, a fox, and 2 small birds. The tree house is super cute and even has a rope coming from the tree to Barbie's rescue station and a basket can be used to transport the animals from tree to station. There is really no set up it's also assembled you just need to place the plastic ropes in place and put the basket on the ropes. My 5 year old daughter is a big animal lover so she was very excited when she received this play set! The tree house and rescue center are adorable. The tree has little cut out areas for the animals. There is also a rope bridge that a detachable basket can slide along to take the animals from the tree to their check-ups. The animals have got to be my daughter's favorite part of the set though. It comes with eight pets including two owls, two squirrels, two bunnies, a deer, and a fox. The animals and accessories to take care of them are very small, so just be aware of that it you have other little ones in the house. In the last 3-4 months the Shredded blend is horrible. There are no moist chicken pieces and is just dry kibble and my dogs will not eat it. I complained to the company where I order my food from telling them that they sent me the wrong product. They sent me another bag and there's still no chicken pieces. Please go back to the original version or you should not advertise this as having shredded chicken pieces in it.LMF44

I did not read Purina's own reviews, instead I concentrated on others. My poodle loved the Small Breed Petite Races Chicken and Rice, but beginning in around Feb 2022, she started to not love eating. We thought she was either ill or it was perhaps the rawhide bones or her new "trio" heartworm-flea-tick med. I recently read the Purina's own reviews and many say this food smells. So does the shredded variety. We switched away from Purina completely. Our Chloe is fine. Smell yours!SkyBoy01
