This was a life saver. My pug is 15 and needs help getting up and down from couch. It has 3 positions so it is not steep for an older dog to use. It is ready to use right out of the box. Looks like a nice piece of furniture. It is not to long and can be used in the smallest spaces. The carpet like material on the ramp, also has slip resistant material on it (like what is on the bottom of socks). The dogs love it and it does not bother their feet. When going down the ramp, they can go as slow as needed and not slide down. I highly recommend this product. It will not work with really high beds or trucks unless you add to it. But it is perfect for anything else including cars (if needed) It is very light and easy to move around. It is very sturdy and does not move when dogs are using it. Even my younger dog loves it and she is scared of everything. The first day we got it we used treats to get them to use it. I only took a few minutes and they loved it. We had foam stairs before this but my older dog was still having issues using it. Because of the material of the stairs, when going down, it would force her to go fast and slide. This does not do that and allows them to go as slow as possible (I know I repeated this but it truly makes a difference for an older or injured dog/cat.)Nic

Just perfect. I have two older dogs who can now only enter and exit my station wagon via a ramp. I had a nice older ramp of thick plastic of some kind, but it was getting very heavy for me, an older person too, to deal with. The Solvit Telescoping ramp is fabulously lightweight. I actually look forward to the car outings rather than dreading it. Besides being light, the telescoping aspect is very easy to use. Some of the reviews said large dogs could not deal well with the sandpaper-like surface of the ramp (which adds makes the ramp so light to handle), but I find that towels or small rugs adhere very firmly to the sandpaper surface and give the dogs traction and confidence. The only problem I've experienced is the ramp blowing down in high wind. Now on windy days I park directly into the wind for loading and unloading of the dogs. Works fine. I highly recommend. Works great on higher thick mattress bed. It is 26" off the floor to the top of the bed. He ( my Silky Terrier) is starting to get used to using it. This is great- love how it could be a ramp or stairs. It could be a little higher with the ramp side, however the stairs work good for now with my little dog. I think the ramp is great if they have hip issues just like I said could be a little higher like the stairs are. The only thing I any not impressed with is that it only comes with one set of the sticky nonslip pads and they aren’t al that great at sticking to the bottom of the sides if you move it because of picking it up to clean the area underneath it- they call off. I wish this product would’ve came with either extra sets of those sticky nonslip stickers, or were already glued on to them legs and sides that would slide on the floor- better yet if they legs and sides were built with a nonslip think on them. Other then that love the stairs/ramp it’s very easy and doesn’t need anything assembling.Dani
These steps are not worth the price of free. They are incredibly cheaply made of thick cardboard, not even wood. The corner was broken off out of box, the legs do not clip on, it chips easily so when you pick it up they fall out. We bought these stairs to help our senior dogs. Our oldest is 13 pounds and 13 years old . Our youngest is 85 pounds and 7 years old. Our bed is high and the smallest dog wanted on and off the bed constantly. He is now able to get on and off by himself. The bigger dog use to leap onto the bed no problem. She is showing signs of struggle so we invested in these stairs! The stairs do flip to the other side as a ramp. But, I do not like the ramp as it is too steep! Both of the dogs refuse to use it! They will however use the stairs with no problems. I do recommend this product if using as stairs!!Yanna B

This ramp, even when fully extended, is too short for a standard height bed frame and a pillow top mattress. It works only for a thin mattress on a low or platform bed frame. The incline angle, even if the ramp was high enough, is wickedly steep. LOOK CAREFULLY AT THE PICTURES and you will see the ramp used only on sofas and low beds. I didn’t noticed that when I bought it, and further discovered that mistake was going to cost me a $20 “restocking fee.” I am disappointed that the vendor does not stand by their statements of complete satisfaction and risk free trial. I am out money and have to re-box the ramp and transport it to UPS. I bought this PawRamp for my 2 mini dachshunds. Oh my goodness do they love this thing! They love that they can now run right up into my chair and join me. They can also run down the ramp when they want to play on the floor. They took to it immediately. It is sturdy and very well made. The carpet is fairly non-slip. That being said though, I notice that my short hair doxie (6 1/2 months old) does just fine, but my long hair doxie does slide a tiny bit, but it is not the carpet or the ramp, it is her furry little feet. She is only 4 months old so she is working on figuring it out. I am really glad I made this purchase. Those long backs concern me so I really wanted a ramp for these 2 puppies. This one is truly a great ramp and I would purchase another if I had need for another ramp. This is definitely a purchase I would gladly make again. The quality is top notch. The rug on the ramp is slippery for our 3 yorkies. They are between 8 and 10 pounds. We needed to adjust the angle because it was too slippery for them to scoot up it. They go down and even though the angle has been lowered, they still slide as they go down, going up is more difficult. The rug does not have much traction at all even though it has grooves. I'm sure I could probably find a better rug that would not be so slippery when I have a chance. This is actually my second review, not sure what happened to the first one. They even reached out to me to see how they could help, their email was titled "Bad Review".. I responded and asked if they had any suggestions but they never responded back to me. I reached out in a second email and still no response. I'm surprised because it seems the customer service appears to be top notch. We have used this ramp for several years for our dogs to get out of the lake at the bulkhead. Because it does float, we secure the end to a concrete block with bungee cords. It has made it easy and safe for our goldens to get out of the lake; especially our older dogs that otherwise would have difficulty climbing out of the water. We have only been using the Petstep ramp about a week, but we do like it. Our dog is trained to use it as long as we give her the command to do so. We have it leaning on the edge of our deck. Our Brittany has a herniated disc and cannot use steps at this time. We are leaving the ramp in the one spot. It ua a little heavy for me for loading in and out of a car for short trips. It is just what we needed. Our dog is only 35 lbs. I did walk up it myself and it is sturdy. I weigh about 135 lbs. We received it very quickly and in perfect condition.Debra

This product worked great for our 12 year old terrier mix (18lbs) who had to have surgery after he blew his knee out. No running or jumping for 8 weeks, which was a tall order because he spends the vast majority of his time on our bed. Worked great. Gradual slope is easy for an older dog.
