They downside of Bravecto: Theoretically, if your dog has a bad reaction to it, you can't wash it off, like you could with the topical formulas. I have 3 dogs and none of them had any reaction at all, so I haven't faced that problem. We live in an area with lots of ticks and a very high incidence of Lyme disease, so I am willing to take the risk. So far so good!doghairstew

Bravecto has been such a good medicine for all four of my pups! Two of my dogs like to go on excursions and come back all dirty but no fleas or ticks. The ticks that are on them after being in the woods for hour are already dead from this medication. 10 out of 10 would recommend!Hilary

These are so easy to give our dog. She thinks we're giving her treats. There's no thinking twice, she just eats it right away. For some reason God had a great sense of humor and blessed me with not 1, but 3 whole dogs who have severe flea allergies/dermatitis. This means if just one flea lands on them they will chew their fur off down to the skin due to their severe allergies and irritation (I learned this the hard way after a skin graft was needed as a pup for one of my dogs). This product is a GOD SEND. A LIFE SAVER. I was doing the Seresto collars before but they stopped working and my vet recommend this instead and though it is pricey ($50 per dog for a 3 month treatment) I sometimes wait for chewy to have their big sale and stock up on it (I pay about half price when it does go on sale). You do need a vet prescription for this flea treatment, but let me tell you it is worth all the trouble you have to go through to get it lol. I have been using it for 3 years now and my dogs have been happy and flea/tick free.maly.y

I have two dogs with two very different personalities. One that will eat anything he can get his mouth on and the other that is super stubborn. I always enjoyed pill flea control because my dogs are so adorable you just want to pet them all the time, and the drops just get all over your hands if you do. My vet recommended this brand after I told him how much my stubborn dog disliked his previous pill. He said dogs tend to like this taste better in comparison and even if he didn't it wasn't something I have to do every month. He was right! My dogs like this pill and it's so easy to give to them, and not having to do it every month is great. I set a notification on my phone and never miss a dose. If only it included heartworm medication like their previous pill, because I still have to give that monthly, that was the only downside.mallory.t

This product not only protects against fleas and tics but protects against mites too. No problems with side effects and is oral instead of topical which can irritate the akin. It also is good for 3 months instead of 1 monthKelley

I'm hoping this product will stop Lucy's itching. Whenever I use Advantix 11 on her she starts itching and licking her paws & is miserable. I had to put her on Apoquel last year but that is so expensive. Bravecto is kind of pricey but I'm thinking she's worth it if she isn't itching & licking. Also she won't be taking Apoquel. Fingers crossed it will remedy the problem & fight fleas & ticks!Bernadette

Living in Ontario the ticks seem to have exploded over the years. With a very high ratio of ticks testing positive for Lyme Disease. As a dog owner who hikes in the woods like everyday. I need to know my dog is safe from Ticks. I have used Bravecto since Koda was a puppy. He seems to have no side effects from this medication. It was recommended by Koda's vet to use this particular productleigh.b

I've used this for my dog for years and thankfully it has worked great. I've never seen a flea or anything else on her! I love that it works for 3 months and I don't have to worry about remembering each month.Vicky

We live in the country so there is a lot of fleas and ticks. Plus our dogs love the water so topical and collars are not an option. But with this stuff they never have a flea or tick on them. Some of our dogs love them but others not so much.Melinda

I bought the advantus yesterday. My babies loved them. I paid $54.99 plus tax $4.54 bringing the grand total to $59.53. Now let's break it down $59.53 divided by 30 days of the month that's a $1.98 per day to protect your baby. I do agree it could have had a lot more stuff to help with the fleas & ticks. Now the reason I said it won't work for me, is because I have 21 babies so instead of buying 1 bottle a month I would be buying 3 1/2 bottles. Now that's serious money, just bathe in dawn dish soap. mist them with a flea and tick spray before they go out to potty your good to go. I gave three stars because I bought it yesterday. First, let me state that I was unsure of this product before it arrived, not only because of the amazing price but because I've tried many different flea pills, chews and the liquid forms and none of them seemed to help at all. I have three large dogs and bought a bottle of 30 chews, geared towards smaller to medium size dogs, for around $29 and some change. Normally even after a bath, once my Dogs go outside, fleas are going to jump all over them. We've treated our yard but not only are there many strays in the area, not all of our neighbors treat their dogs or yards. I have given them each 1 chew daily since I got the first bottle, almost on the second bottle now and not one flea has been found alive on them! And very few dead ones, that we've found on their coats. No side effects so far (thankfully) and seemingly this product works extremely well, in my opinion. I've used this product for almost 3 weeks. And she's got more fleas now than she did to begin with. I gave her a bath and there were what looked like hundreds of fleas in the water. While she was in the water I picked quite a few off of her by hand. Two or three times a week, I get her down and pick them off. It says this product repels, but it really seems like it attracts them! She scratches all the time! And has running sores. I sure hope this stuff is guaranteed!!! Do not give to small dogs especially non spayed females In 2020 gave our 2 small dogs flea away within a month the smallest dog developed swelling and lumps in her mamory gland which quickly developed into cancerous tumor she died within 2mos. The other dog developed the same swelling but it progressed very slowly she now has the same type of growth on her we don't know how long she will live. It can't just be a coincidence.Gayle Erickson

These did not help my dogs when it came to ticks. My dogs live on our farm, so we have no fleas. They were already on a monthly prescription heartworm medication, and have always tested negative. To be fair, I cannot say whether or not this product was helpful for mosquitoes. I cannot say I do, or do not, recommend due to my experience.Deborah

I used this product this last season for my dog and he never got flees. I feel so much better using natural stuff than chemicals on him. It was very affordable. It has a very strong scent at first but the scent does lighten up after a day or two. I would recommend this to anyone with dogs.katrina .s

I am not someone who takes my dogs health lightly. I try to use natural products as much as possible. We had a tick outbreak and everything I tried did not work. I bought these drops for all the dogs. Put it on. Took about 3 days to completely soak into the coat but ticks have been unable to attach which is great. Over the last few days there have been less and less. These drops along with Diatomaceous Earth spread around the corners of the house and all the beds is doing the trick. I bought this product earlier this week. I read the instructions and made sure that my dog met the weight requirements for the product. It worked the first day. She stopped itching and biting. The smell was pungent but it was doable. I liked the fact that it was natural. The next day after application, my dog is back to itching and biting. It only provided temporary relief.Yae713

Please, don't ever use any HARTZ products. Please google, "HARTZ kills". You will see thousands of pics of severely injured and dead cats and dogs. They have known it is an issue for decades but they are able to skirt the issue by using pesticides in their products instead of FDA monitored medications. I really liked these drops, I usually can just use the flea and tick collars, but for this last summer the collars weren't working. I got these drops and they did the trick. I will be getting these again for the summer.staci .b

I trust Hartz brand when it comes to preventing fleas and ticks. I know most people use flea chews but I don't see the need because this seems to work for me, I do not have carpet in my house which may be why I've not had any infestations. Not as expected. I have 3 dogs that weigh between 4 to 7 pounds. Followed instructions and had to reapply after 2 weeks as mentioned. I was on frontline for years but when I thought I saw a couple fleas on my dogs in September 2020, I decided to make a switch to Advantage II for my cats and Advantix II for my dogs— BIGGEST mistake of my life (seriously, like over any horrible exes). I have $515.97 in receipts I submitted to the company (which was as horrible as the experience, which I will get to) and spent an additional $70 in store (in which I cannot find the receipt) since September 2020 to December. I followed every tip on the website and insert and my animals were still covered. I applied perfectly. I applied initially weekly, vacuum daily, steam cleaned, wash bedding constantly, etc. I don’t even have carpet but on the stairs and have treated the stairs and couches with Predcor. I even bought those flea traps with the sticky bottoms. I am not including any of this in that total I spent– that was all on the flea medications themselves for the 6 animals. I have saved some, not all, of the vials so on 11/13 I called Elanco. They denied my request for any type of refund. They questioned my exact dosage dates and frequency more than a doctor wants to know about your menstrual cycles but I took my best guesses, for all 6 animals although I did know what schedule they were on but didn't have it in front of me. Then they said that the product was probably not working because I bathed my dogs initially at the beginning 48 hours before application?? Their website TELLS you to bathe them before application (see 2nd screenshot posted)! I stopped bathing them after the 2nd application as it wasn't working and the dogs were miserable and only tried 2 cats (and really only 1 successfully because we all know how that goes). They then told me that I didn't give the product long enough?? Their website states (see 3rd screenshot) and is the same for Advantage II "K9 Advantix® II kills fleas within 12 hours. New fleas that jump on the dog from the surroundings, such as grass, carpet and pet bedding, are killed within 2 hours with protection against further infestation for at least 4 weeks." I tried their products, $600 worth on 6 animals, as scheduled, no missed doses for 4 months. I can’t blame it on just one animal or one batch—it didn’t work on 6, or one batch! I am very upset. Not only have I wasted money on these but I have bought corresponding products, sprays for the beddings, flea traps, etc. I FINALLY called Terminex and had to spend 12 hours clearing out under my beds, closets, getting everything off my floors, moving furniture etc. (time I will never get back) and getting my children and pets out of the house and went back to the brand that works: FRONTLINE! NO MORE FLEAS– what I should have done in the first place. I am so upset not by the fact that the product didn't work but by the way the company handled it, dodging any responsibility from blaming it on the baths they recommend to the length of time I gave it when they could have just refunded me and had someone that isn't going to not only post this review every place I bought it (not just here) but every other place that allows a review to include social media.Intelhottie

We bought Advantix liquid application anti-flea and tick treatment because it is effective, was less expensive and did not require a prescription. We had easily and successfully used liquid Advantix for years with our Plott hound mix. We now have a beagle. Beagle hair is different; it's thick, coarse, oily, kind of water proof and difficult to part in order to properly apply the liquid to the skin. Advantix is a very good product, but pet owners may want to assess their pet's coat to determine how the liquid application could be applied.Gary

My dog was getting ticks so I purchased this. I have used it in the past with great success when it had the Bayer logo on it . The one I received has the Elanco brand logo on it. I used 1 bottle and It was like I used nothing at all. Mind you I walk my dog and when he comes in the house I would find 2 or 3 live ticks walking on him. So I figured ok maybe it didnt work or I didnt wait long enough. After about 10 days of this I applied another bottle and again nothing. He still kept coming in the house with ticks every time. So I'm not sure exactly what's going on but the package I received appeared to be authentic. All serial numbers matched and packages were sealed well. I needed to use this product for some time to appreciate its abilities. My dog likes to spend time outside rolling around and doing dog things. This leads to her coming into the house, tracking dirt and the pesky fleas. We've done well to mitigate it in the past, but PetArmor helped in the process. Within a few days, we noticed that she would not be scratchy when coming back into the house, then we didn't have to treat her bedding as much. Very nice! In the past, I have given my dog oral medication to prevent flea and ticks. It worked well but I was never comfortable with the fact that he had to ingest the medicine. I decided we’d use a topical solution for this summer and this is working great so far. The application was easy and the the applicator worked well. I’ve had to apply a different brand on foster puppies in the past and sometimes, the liquid would just all flow right out during the first contact, leaving no medicine for the rest of the dog’s back. It wasn’t the case with PetArmor. I had good control to dispense the product with their applicator. My dog had no discomfort whatsoever on the application sites. The product didn’t leave his coat all oily or smelly. I love that you can scan a QR code in the box and the brand will send a text 30 days later as a reminder for when the next dose is due. Their formula contains Fipronil and (S)-methoprene like most expensive well-known brands but at a more affordable cost. Finally something that works consistently. After trying probably 10-15 brands of flea and tick stuff for my Dogs this is the company I come back to. Ive tried expensive stuff, Ive tried dirt cheap stuff. This works and works FAST. I actually have to put my dogs out if they have fleas on them at all. Within 30 minutes they are jumping off to get away and die. Weve had issues with super fleas here in northeast USA where the only thing Ive found to work is old fashion dawn dish soap and salt.Ive literally spread salt on all my floors so it looks like snow and left it sit over night then vacuum it up and then mop with dawn dish soap, everyday for over a week straight. This stuff not only took care of the fleas on the dogs and cats but the ones in the house would jump on the dogs would die to. Havent had an issue since.Corvet08

Absolutely the worst flea control ! Not only did it not work but now I have a cat that may be on seizure medication for life ! Horrible is not even strong enuff words to describe this so called flea control I followed and did everything as directed,with absolutely no results! All I got out of this is a cat that was healthy the day I put this on her is now on seizure medication ! I normally use Frontline Plus but I couldn't find it at the store and I reviewed this product compared to Frontline. The packaging said that it is just as good the only difference was Frontline was more available. Well, I put this on my dog and he still has fleas I used it for another month and he is worse with fleas this is the worst flea and tick medicine I've ever used.
