Sorry not a review but a question. Sounds like this works well but I have a horrible time keeping my Shepard from licking his wounds. My avid little mouser cat caught herself a little prize just a few days before a month-prior planned trip my husband and i were unavoidably about to go to. Apparently that mouse had bitten her back in the process, right on her tender little lip cleft! Using this for hot spots on my canine, this stuff does work but it sometimes can take up to 2 8oz. Bottles to heal the area's treated. I'm quite surprised with the reviews that say this product doesn't work. For my dog, it truly was a LIFE SAVER! I've been battling with my dogs hotspots (and dry, flaky skin) off and on ever since we moved back to the Midwest, at least a year of her issues. I've tried shampoos, conditioners, a handful of trips to the vet to trial different foods, and hundereds of dollars later I honestly just gave up. I started putting alternative topical agents on her that simply gave a temporary resolution. While traveling out of town, she (Mini Schnauzer) had a really bad case, to the point where she was starting to bleed. Tea oil, hot spot spray and the above HomeoPet drops were what I returned with, after another visit to the pet store. After the first day her redness had diminshed greatly and she wasn't itching nearly as much. By two, she wasn't itching AT ALL. I decided to remove the Tea oil and spray since I'd used them in the past without long-term results. It's been a week and my schnauzer has had 3-5 drops a day, oral dose of this product and she is doing exceptional! Seriously! No redness, no scratching. Today I hadn't given her any since yesterday afternoon and she started scratching again. I gave her 3 drops and about a couple hours later, again, her scratching is gone. I am happily writing about how ZYMOX Hydrocortisone Cream helped my dog from a discomforting itch. My dog had irritating skin. She had red bumps on her stomach, it was an environmental reaction. Once I gently rubbed the cream on her, it soothed her and she didn't scratch. The redness has cleared and she feels so good. She's playing and she's happier. My dog hurt her paw & no idea how she roughed it up. We tried this for two days, while wrapping up her foot and using the cone of shame to keep her from licking her paw. I bought this for my dog Tilly – who stepped on a Thawn – and has constantly been licking her paws. It caused and infection in her foot so I immediately started searching for other creams or antibacterial sprays. I found this 5 star product as the first pop up I saw, and thought it looked a great amazing cream with almost all positive reviews and at first I saw no impact on the feet and considered changing creams to a spray instead but I gave it one more night and when I woke up the next morning the impact for her was huge! I received the chews and immediately gave my puppy 2 of them. She really liked them, she itches. most of the time. But the vet says she needs some type of injection to stop it completely. I don't like to give my puppy any shots but her yearly Injection for rabies. After a week of giving her 2 chews per day as per the instructions I've noticed a big reduction in the amount of her itching. She likes to eat them so apparently they must taste pretty good. The directions are very vague for product usage given the inclusion of tea tree oil. Can it be used 2-3 times a day when your dog is scratching or should it be used once a day? Also should it be used on open wounds? And what about licking? Should my dog where the cons of shame once I have sprayed him with the product? I highly recommend this product for all dog owners! It is truly a lifesaver for my dog when his paws get itchy- when I see him gnawing on them and getting uncomfortable, l spray a little on him and he instantly looks relieved. I got this spray at my local small business pet store (Carter's Pet Mart in Stockton, CA) because he's prone to itchy skin when the weather gets hot. It cost $6.99 and they had a multitude of other scents and sprays for various needs. I've always liked how tea tree oil smells so I knew it would also help his coat and skin smell better after he came in from being outdoors. I like to spray it on his coat and then use his coat brush to work it in. He doesn't seem to mind it and his itching had subsided a bit. It's made with all natural ingredients and the company is based in SF.

It is springtime and rainy, so there is a lot of vigorous grass growing in the areas that Matilda had turned brown last fall, and a lot of dilution of urine daily in the grass. I buy Stay Green Bites because my dog leaves brown spots in the grass. My husband was skeptical and didn't believe they worked, so I did an experiment. I stopped giving the Stay Green Bites to Iris for the winter. Once the snow melted, there were brown spots everywhere. I pointed this out to my husband. Once I put her back on the Stay Green Bites, we have not had any new brown spots in the lawn.
My dogs have only been taking this supplement for a few days now, so my grass hasn't had time to bounce back. However, in the places they have been going potty since starting the supplements, it doesn't look like any more grass is dying. To me, that is a huge indicator that these are working. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because these are slightly expensive. I have two dogs who will need 2 each, every day. So for roughly $25, I'll get just over 3 weeks of use out of each container. I live somewhere that snows in the winter, and a little during spring&fall, so at least this won't be something they need to take year round.

These wipes really seem to give my dog some relief where he scratched the underside of his neck raw and he appears to like having them rubbed on the affected area. I use disposable gloves to touch these wipes because the bitters are in an oil that leaves a foul taste on your skin and doesn't wash off well with disinfectant soap. The oil must absorb into your skin–the bitters are supposed to stop pets from licking the affected area. The first vet who examined my dog prescribed some anti-itch, antibiotic powder, along with antibiotics and a steroid (which we weaned him off of), but I found these wipes when the powder was almost gone and the worst of the infection was past. I showed them to the vet and she noted that they contain comfrey, which can cause liver failure (in pets and humans) if ingested in large amounts. Since the problem is on his neck, where he can't lick it directly, she said it would be fine to continue using the wipes. The comfrey is not a primary ingredient. I don't know if the bitters would stop him from licking the area, say on his legs, where he has had allergy problems in the past. If your pet continued licking an area where you used these, I would discontinue their use based on my vet's concern.Pam
Our Lab mix has allergies and gets rash and hot spots on her belly. We had been through the vet thing a couple times with steroids and antibiotics with little result. I have a cat with skin problems. In the past I took him to the vet for shots to stop the itchiness, but they only worked for about 3 weeks, and then he needed another. We also tried oral medicine with similar results. Diet changes did nothing. Then I discovered these wipes. Now all I use on him are these wipes twice a day. They don't cure him, but they keep him from getting bad sores from scratching. I think they work better for him than shots or pills. He seems to like being wiped with these. He doesn't struggle or run away. I think it must feel good. Just be sure to wash your hands well after putting it on your pet. It has a bitter taste to prevent animals from excessive licking. Wife found young cat in drain at work. She took it home. A few weeks ago she got underneath vehicle and jumped down while we were driving down the street. She had her tail and rear end run over. We took her to the vet, she was bleeding heavy. They patched her up and gave her meds, sent her home and said see if she makes it. I bought small for my mini dachshund and medium for my beagle. Both were perfect fit. I found they are great for occasional incontinence but they wet through quickly and sag, making them very easy to slip out of. Daisy, our 16 year old beagle, wrestled her way out of them repeatedly. After some trial and error, we found the perfect solution. We use Poise pads inside the diaper (disposable pads used for human incontinency issues) and mitten clips to attach them to her harness! I'm about to order another set in the pretty fall Lodge colors. Very happy to have saved my floors and my sanity. Great product. Our Hava-Tzu started marking about three years after having him. He was fixed but out of the blue he started. Had him to the vet and he was physically great! But we endured him marking on the stainless steel frig, the bottom drawer of our stainless steel stove and the front of the dishwasher not to mention to many baseboards to name!! We caught the appliances quickly so we didn’t have any damage but the baseboards all had to cut, painted and replaced where he’s done the most marking. But we endured him marking on the stainless steel frig, the bottom drawer of our stainless steel stove and the front of the dishwasher not to mention to many baseboards to name!! We caught the appliances quickly so we didn’t have any damage but the baseboards all had to cut, painted and replaced where he’s done the most marking. We finally found these belly bands and I have to tell you they are amazing. Such a fantastic product and well made and fits good. We were literally at our wits ends and these have now made ours a happier home, trust me!! Do not hesitate to get these if your fur baby is having issues.
