Slip Proof Dog Harness For Sale (2024 Update)

As I previously stated I bought two of these harnesses in two different sizes. A small and a medium as I was not sure which would work. The small is a great fit for my 13 lb Shih Tzu. But this is summer and she is shaved down. I am going to use the medium size for winter to go over her sweaters and coats. She is also is not shaved down for colder weather so I tend to buy larger sizes for the colder seasons. Besides the price was great.Marlene D

This is the best harness I have ever had for my lil shih tzu/yorkie mix. The only thing is he does not like me having to put his legs thru it and does not like anything being put over his head other than that its awesome! Absolutely love it! I've tried numerous harnesses and never loved any until this one. I have a miniature rat terrier who is 13.5 lbs. He tends to be too big for mediums and way too small for large sizes. Finally, this harness fits perfectly in Medium! There's even a little room to spare in case he gets larger. We wanted to take off pressure from his neck and the v neck design and light weight, soft mesh is great! It's by far the softest one I've ever felt, and I've tried every one at multiple stores. It's so comfortable that it could be left on all the time even in summer since it's so breathable. My dog lives it too! He seems to feel safe and calmer in it like a thunder shirt makes him feel. The first time I took him on a walk he seemed to feel "free". He was so happy to pounce around without worrying about a jerk in his neck. We give this one 5 stars!!!! I got this in black, size medium from Amazon. She has a 12" neck and a 19" chest. This harness is adjustable around both neck and chest. My pup has a high chase drive and will sometimes pull suddenly. I like that the x-shape doesn't put as much pressure on her throat when she pulls, and the double d-rings and buckle closure feel very secure for her leash. My dog learned to step into the harness on her own if we hold it up for her, too. Very good quality materials that will last a long time.lianna.b

at the suggestion of my neighbor I bought this harness.Online store availability says it was available at the store. Went to this store they did not have the medium size (strike 1). I got small because the last harness I got at Petco last week in a medium was WAY TOOOO big. (which I am unable to return $35 gone). (strike 2 ) Even tho this one is advertised online for $14.99 at the store it was $21.99 and the team member did not know anything about it being lower online. (strike 3) same SKU number on receipt as listed in the online description. ( and unable to return this item as well.Store policy )My fault I should have taken my little buddy with to measure before buying.Now I've $57 un unusable harnesses. Seems like good construction. I liked the pads on top to prevent pinching, but overall, it is still the same standard harness you can get everywhere. Unfortunately, I am still on the hunt for a good harness to use for running with my dog. The harness rubbed under his armpits and rubbed them raw. To be fair, though, my dog pulls during a lot of the run.SandyB

The look of the harness is great however the material cannot stand up to chewing which is not covered under warranty. I bought one yesterday and this morning I left to get breakfast and when I got back 20 minutes later he had chewed through one of the straps and had taken a chuck out of the nylon canvas chest piece. Very disappointed in the product and was hoping it was made better and would hold up for years like their jackets have.Brady

Rugged ,tough , durable harness . Works like it should . It takes a little time to get a proper adjustment , unless your dog is growing it's a one time thing . We like it better than other harnesses we have . I find it laughable that people would give a poor review because their dog chewed on it . That's on the owner and their poor dog . My dog will pull and I don't really believe that will be a no-pull device that will keep her from it 100%. This harness does seem somehow calming and is extremely easy to put on her.usacsw

This is a fabulous harness. It is sturdy and so easy to put on. Easy to adjust. I have a bonafide Service Dog so this harness will get a real workout. I actually invested in two of them so one can be washed and air dried while the other one can be worn. They are super nice harnessesEL CAJON

The best harness, it's great for strong dogs and my Reggie is alot more comfortable in it. Great if walking in dark as has reflectors all over it. The handle is great when sometimes you just need that extra hold. I have a 8 month of Dogue Doe Bordeaux who weighs 37kg and got XL size, he is wearing it at the smallest so hopefully we will get some good months or even a year out of until I need to get the XXL.Lucy Reggie

I will have to admit I had first purchased a much cheaper 'version' of this harness, but within a week of using a generic brand, i quickly realised i had made a grave mistake and promptly ordered this EZYDOG CONVERT HARNESS. Totally confident with this new harness as it ticks all the boxes; comfort for Jala, security; and most of all confidence knowing that Jala is very safe on our walks..thank you for a wonderful product.jales

As any husky owner knows, they love pulling, and backing out of harnesses. Huskies put Houdini to shame with their amazing ability to escape from collars and harnesses. After trying a zillion harnesses for our 6th Siberian Husky, we stumbled upon the Goat Trail Tactical and threw our money down in hopeful anticipation. The buckles are amazing, and although the back plastic buckles are stiff to get on and off, that's EXACTLY what we need. The front metal buckles are secure and strong. The straps allow us to snug that harness up tight (not too tight, 2 fingers under) in all the right places to hold it secure without her strangling. The leash loop connectors are metal, securely sewn in and instill confidence that it would take a major catastrophe for them to pull out. Having the front connector allows us to connect a leash on the back and front, limiting her ability to drag us down the street like a sled. The rubber handle on the back… genius! Most harnesses have a flap of material that is difficult to grab, and cuts into your hand, twists, and is virtually worthless, but not the rubber handle on the SSGLex. Easy to grab, sturdy to hold, and perfectly positioned to get control when that suicidal squirrel darts in front of your very prey driven young husky. Getting on and off is a breeze with various ways to go about it: either shove the head through and snap the back up, or one leg through over the top snap neck and back in. Even with young husky totally freaking out because she knows the harness means GO TIME, it's quick and easy to buckle up. The little backpacks are cute, but until she gets out of her velociraptor stage of ripping things to shreds, we took them off, and also moved the included Goat Trail patch on the back. Love all the mollie loops and velcro for various and sundry things. We purchased a Medium because she has some more growing to do and it fits very nicely with plenty of room for adjustments later on. My only suggestions is to include the little strap loops for the back like there are on the front. She took to it well, and seems comfortable enough that she doesn't mind wearing it. She is NOT happy about the front leash restricting her ability to cripple us with her pulling, but she'll get over that. Finally a harness that gives us the confidence and security of knowing she won't back out of it and escape, we can walk her without being dragging down the street (the neighbors are somewhat disappointed that we found this solution and no longer gather on their porches each walk time for entertainment), and is comfortable to her as well. Job well done, I highly recommend this harness to all of my husky owning friends.P.B.

I wanted something more comfy and secure, with a no-pull front ring for my APBT. She’s 65lbs but pulls extremely hard when excited. We moved from a Kong brand harness that I trust with my life but this one is so much more comfy for us both. My concern were the two side clips being plastic which I’m not used to, but I haven’t had any problems, and it doesn’t feel loose after taking it off and on about 30 times. I bought their leash too and it has made walking a breeze as well. Doesn’t make the “bunny runs” as brutal for my shoulder. I’ve only used the front ring with my rope leash, and the no-pull leash with the back ring. Not sure which method is better but both have put me at ease. Worth the money for me.Taylor M.

Harness is top quality, heavy duty and very secure. A world of difference walking my 9 month old highly energetic 60 lb Australian/German Shepherd pup now. Still some training to do but the strong pulling quickly subsides on our walks now and when he does pull he doesn't have the leverage so he's still very manageable. Harness couldn't have come sooner as my boy literally pulled me off my feet a couple days before the harness arrived. Detachable backpack is very cool too. Will easily carry treats and waste bags with bungee strap on top perfect for a small water bottle. Will work great for long hikes up here in the mountains. I would definitely recommend getting the bungee leash as well. I ordered this a few days after the backpack and so glad I did. It also made a huge difference. It adds a certain amount of resistance where my dog quickly tires of pulling and also makes it much easier on both of us since there's no constant jerking motion. Highly Recommend!!!Rick M.

Bought this for my pom Jacob. Needed a trachea friendly harness. Had the right measurements, it fit around his body but not his neck. He's a puppy mill rescue so he has a lot of fears. He didn't like it going over his head or how it constricted his shoulders. It even looked uncomfortable. However, I liked the one I got my Max so much, I got one in red for Jacob and that one was a hit! I wouldn't recommend this item for a fluffy dog but maybe on a short coated dog it would be ok.Christa G

This little halter is great for dogs who like to pull and/or are hard to manage. You have much better control mainly because they don't choke or cough while walking. I used these with my Pomeranian Dusty who had problems with his trachea and never had a problem after getting this harness. It doesn't go across the throat as regular collars and halters. They just step into it and you hook it at their back in one swift movement. And when they pull, you pull up on the leash and it pulls their front feet off the ground and they learn very quickly not to pull. I am now using for my new furry baby Rambo who is part Pomeranian, part Schipperkee and can be a handful. But this halter is working just wonderful. I wouldn't have any other kind. We have a slender, silky coated hound who is wiggly, at just a year. She appears to be a mix of greyhound and Rhodesian ridgeback, very muscular. She can slip out of many harnesses that are not covering enough of her torso. We put on the tactical vest, and not only did it fit well and give ud more control and confidence on the leash, but it relieved my fears of Penny breaking out in a dead run to who-knows-where. ) she does have a chip). This is such a cute harness. Very easy to put on since it's a walk in to type and then just click closed. I had a bit of trouble unclasping the attachment but I think it is because it is so tiny. I will be using this as a gift as my smallest dog is 28pds and definitely will not fit the extra small. I believe this is great quality and for my purpose will make a lovely gift!!Mom of 2 Red Dogs

*Please note the picture currently showing is NOT the harness – it appears to instead be a collar made of the same material, snap closure, and branding* As I hope you can see in the pictures, this is actually a harness (not just a collar) that fits around/in between both front legs and clasps above your dog's shoulder blades. The material is soft, but thick and durable, and double-stitched so securely that the material would likely rip before the seams holding the (what appears to be stainless steel) rings. In other words, this harness can hold up to a ton of abuse and still look/function like new. I would have given 5 stars but for the placement of the cute but annoying brand label that prevents me getting a perfect fit on my dog – IMHO a better place would be on the material between the front legs on the chest – but otherwise can't highly rate it enough.Bueler

Very nice Harness! The harness is very well made and a beautiful shade of bright blue….like the shade of blue you see with Duke University or University of Kentucky colors. The size XS is for a very small pet. The measurements are stated to fit a pet 11-15 inches in chest girth and approximately 5-10 pounds. For reference, I have a Cornish Rex cat. She is 15 years old and very thin. She weighs approximately 4 pounds. The harness fits her pretty well. I took a few pictures so you can see how cute she is in it and I do not have the adjustments as small as it could go. I have it about in the middle, so it could go larger or smaller than you will see in my picture. I realize that most people use this harness on a puppy but it is difficult to find a strong nicely made harness for a cat. This one works perfectly! My cat really doesn’t like for me to put any clothes, harness, collar, etc. on her. But when we go places, I cannot let her go free because she will take off and get herself lost. This harness is really great. I will make it smaller before I taker her outside with it. I do not take her on walks outside. She is strictly an indoor cat, but I sometimes have to travel with her and this will be very helpful. What’s even better is that the stitching along the color provides reflective properties to help see if she’s in the dark for some reason.Princess Mary

Superb quality and lasts the lifetime of the dog. I purchased my first harness for my first dog, and despite being in great condition after years of daily use, it was retired when he passed. This is now my second harness, the first for my new puppy, and I'm in no doubt it should last just as long if not longer than the previous. I find the harness to be multi-use, perfect for daily walks, sports activities, and car travel. I wouldn't buy anything else.d.robinson83

The best and strongest harness we have used for our German Shepard dog. He loves it, it is the only product he has not wanted to chew up as he enjoys wearing it! I have a 6 lb puppy, 3 months old. I have been trying various harnesses. This seem to be the best as far as a step in harness. It seems my pup has a short neck so the over the head harness comes to close to his chin and he is able to get his mouth around the top. This harness is a step in harness easier to get on. However, since it is an XS it could have been a little narrower around the paw holes. It seems to come right up to the shoulder joint. Also the "D" hooks for the leash do not lay flat if you are at the tightest fit. Because of that, I remove the harness while indoors, especially when playing with other pups. It could get caught on furniture or hurt the other pup.lashepa5

We have a very active chocolate lab and this harness fits well and works like a dream. Front-attach harnesses work to destabilize the dog so you are not in a tug of war. Everyone we have suggested this harness to is a believer because it makes walking the dog less of a battle. Eventually the clips loosen with wear and when our dog jumps they sometimes now release so we needed to buy a new the harness. My dog was btwn sizes, so I took him on a little road trip to the store to get the right fit. Gilbert is horribly nervous in cars, pet stores, vets, with his own shadow, etc. but the amazing Wooftown employee (L) sat down on the floor with the harnesses and kindly waited as he calmed down.
