My dog is a super chewer and kills most toys in minutes. 2 weeks after getting this for Christmas she's still playing with it and there are no tears, no rips, squeaker still works, etc. I don't play tug with it and if she starts to put it under her front feet and try and rip up with her mouth, I'll say 'not and take it away. We have a chocolate lab who is very hard on toys. It's his goal to play fetch with them for a little while and as soon as he can see how easy it is to rip them to shreds. He loves squeakers and the one in this toy has a lower pitch so it's nowhere near as annoying as some squeaky toys. It is also sewn in a pocket inside the toy so it lasted much longer than other squeakers that are not sewn in. It takes him literally less than five minutes to destroy some toys, but this toy lasted at least a week before it was significantly damaged (he ripped the mouth area open). Today the legs are all still attached and there's a little stuffing left in the tail, but the squeaker and body stuffing are long gone. It's hanging around in his toy box and is not yet considered trash. Seeing how it is listed as a stronger toy, it would have been nice if it stayed intact longer, but I got it on sale so I won't complain. My dog is a 7 year old lab mix who still acts like a puppy. She loves to chew on toys and sometimes even larger branches outside. My dogs really do love these, but they are going in the trash! The seams are sewn very poorly and in some spots sewn loosely. They just came right apart and frayed and there impossible to fix. And actually I shouldn't have to fix a brand new toy anyhow. Look at the pictures and you will see. I bought this one and a few others and they all had the same issue. One is still intact but not this one. These have too much stuffing as well so you want to talk about a mess? LOL… The weave of the material is large and frays easily, snags easily and easily pulls apart as you can see in the picture.mommadog

I was so excited to find and order this "super tuff" dog toy. From the embellished description I assumed it would be a great toy for my Mini Aussie who loves to chew and loves squeaker toys. It was delivered in a timely manner, 2 days as promised. The design is cute and color is bright, my pup joyfully took the toy and carried it straight to her bed to play while I started up a movie for the evening thinking finally I found a "tuff", "durable", "rip resistant", dog "chew toy" that although over priced, my fur baby would enjoy for a long while. Reality hit when 15 minutes later I looked at her playing in her dog bed and the toy croc had a gaping hole in its head! I literally lasted 15 minuts! Very disappointing to say the least. If you have a dog that likes to chew, save your money and skip this toy.MrsB
