Our dog Petal was diagnosed with PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) when she was 5 years old. This disease usually starts in dogs who inherit it when they are between 4 and 6 years old. We immediately started giving her Ocu-GLO and have given it to her every day since she was diagnosed. Her vision did indeed decline but much much slower than predicted. Hello. My son's pit King, stays downstairs with me. Follows me everywhere, sleeps with me, he has been the best companion, and yes he even talks "smack" back to me if he doesn't get his own way. I stumbled across Ocu-Glow last year and have been using it ever since. His eyes cleared up of the "fog" from the cataracts, I was amazed. King eats what I eat, even my home made sauerkraut :), but he don't like the taste of these if they break open. I roll each pill up in lunchmeat, then have extra slice ready so he will gulp down last pill, works like a charm. King is going to be 15 years old this year in May. Out older dog is on her 3rd tub of the supplement and as far as we can see her eyes have not worsened even the tiniest bit. It has been 9 months now since we started her on Eye Support and we are pleased. We considered the supplements when around Xmas last year I noticed cloudiness in her eyes (she was then just over 10yrs old), so we researched and decided to give it a go. I was excited to give these to my dog and help her age gracefully and help keep vision issues at bay. She's not a very picky eater but really doesn't like these. She will occasionally eat one if left out long enough (1 out of every 3 I give her) and the ratio is a little better if I break it open and sprinkle it with bacon grease or something. She will take a bite, spit it out and try again. ..eventually finishing it. We tried giving some to my brother's dog when he was over but he won't even attempt to eat one, won't even bite it to spit it out. The idea is good but if the dogs won't eat them what good is it?
I've only been giving my 11 year old Shihtzu these chews for about a week now. I will say that so far so wonderful! Her eyes are so much clearer, brighter and the haze that has been forming on her eyes has been going away day by day. She does have problems with her eyes watering and getting crusty, so I'm going that this will help this problem too. I'm excited to see how this works after the 4 week mark.
My dog suddenly began losing vision and it was recommended by his doctor to begin taking these types of vitamins for any benefits that could possibly help thr health of his eyes and prolong whatever vision remains. Our dog Petal was diagnosed with PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) when she was 5 years old. This disease usually starts in dogs who inherit it when they are between 4 and 6 years old. We were told there was nothing we could do about it and that she would be completely blind in about 1 year, 2 at the very most. We immediately started giving her Ocu-GLO and have given it to her every day since she was diagnosed. Her vision did indeed decline but much much slower than predicted. When she was 10 years old she still had some sight and it's only been in this past year (her 12th) that her vision has gotten drastically worse.. Even still, she's not totally blind. I don't know if Ocu-GLO had anything to do with this, but we felt it was worth trying and we continue to give it to her for overall eye health, including cataracts and possible inflammation from other issues. I recommend it to anyone who has a dog with PRA and would like a shot to preserve their vision for as long as possible.Susan
We have a 6.5 year old Brussels Griffon that has had a run of bad luck! She fell down a set of 3 stairs last October of 2013 and as a result, broke her elbow. After surgery and 3 casts with Dr. Dew an orthopedic surgeon, she is able to walk again. Her missing the stairs had me concerned about her eyesight so during the healing process, I found an ophthalmologist to examine her. Dr. Miller, stated that she did in fact have the onset of cataracts and that could have contributed to the fall however she also had retinal deterioration so she wasn't a good candidate for cataract removal. At his recommendation, we ordered Ocu-Glo RX and started taking the pills immediately. After 3 months we returned to see Dr. Miller and weren't given much hope but he said to continue taking the Ocu-Glo. We returned again for our 6 month check up and again, much of the same. "Keep doing what you're doing". Very disappointing news… However, yesterday we went for our 9 month checkup and were told that both eyes were developing cataracts and one was already very visible and he suspected the other one would be visible quite soon. I had just broke into tears when he stopped and said, "but because the retinal deterioration has stabilized, she is now a candidate for cataract surgery". Thank you Ocu-Glo!! Hopefully because of Ocu-Glo our little Lulu will be able to enjoy her eyesight a little longer!!Lulupink
Our vet recommended Ocu-Glo for our 12 yr old English Setter after cataract surgery. I give him 2 pills daily, hidden in a piece of breakfast sausage of course. I have a Bichon whose tear ducts never developed. The eyes constantly tear, resulting in some very awful tear staining. I have used Angels Eyes for a little over two years now. My dog won't touch the powdered version even when mixed into canned dog food. He thinks the tablets are a treat and cannot wait until the next dose. I have tried both types, the one with the mild anti-biotic and the natural type. I think the anti-biotic type works a little bit better than the natural type, but I don't think it is made any longer. I even looked at Angels Eyes site and it is not listed. The natural chews work pretty well, although I give my dog one more tablet than the recommended dose. Drs. Foster and Smith has a very good price on this product and the delivery is very quick. I plan on purchasing more from them.michael1538
I've used Angel eyes twice over 7 years and it has always worked great for my little 5lb Pappillon. His eyes started weaping again so I first used the powder. The container was nearly empty and no change. Then I discovered it came in a chew, which is soooo much handier, so bought a container and continued giving it to him. He loves the taste, but that's not the problem. He finished the powder and is about halfway thru the chews and still no change. Odd. Previously by now the problem was solved and he was good for a couple years, but now no change. We will continue to finish the chews but I really don't expect anything to happen after this long a time. I'm so disappointed, Angel Eyes was my go to but isn't any more.TXMRS

This is one of the few products that last more then 6 months with my dog. I have a 2 1/2 year old German Shepherd and she loves to chew on her toys. Most of them break within a few hours or if lucky may last a few days. I have given her antlers and nylabones which she loves and they last for awhile, but this ball is actually one of the few toys she can chew on that is soft and pliable. I am very satisfied with the quality of this ball. We have had other Planet Dog Orbee Tuff balls in different color and they were great also, but this one is nice because it glows in the dark so we can still play fetch even when it is getting dark outside.
