So I absolutely love this collar – it has been great for my dog in that is doesn't rub or cause any issues for him. However, the sizing is a bit tough for me. I originally bought the collar in an XL and exchanged it for a L, but between the last two holes (making it the largest possible) I wish there was one more in the middle because the last hole is too loose on him when we are walking, but then the second to last is too tight when he is laying down/relaxed. Other than that, this is absolutely perfect!
The first thing I noticed when I unboxed this collar was how soft and supple the material is—perfect for snuggling and probably very comfortable for my pup! It seems well-made and is definitely well-designed, love the little touch of the "W" mark on the end. The color is CRAZY bright, almost dayglo, and looks great on my brown brindle pittie, it would really stand out on a black dog too. My single caveat with this collar is that it is too soft and flexible to restrain my dog securely, so we just use it to hold his ID tags (we always use a harness on walks anyway). I'd definitely recommend the collar and will probably end up buying some other colors to accessorize!Sam S.
Anyone that have dogs know that they chew on anything. But this Wild One collar is definitely not designed for dogs. Within 2 days, my dog has chewed it up. My other nylon collars were also chewed by my dog but it usually takes months for it to show the severity of damage. The material also feels cheap. Like generic iPhone cases you can find anywhere. Very subpar. Their customer support was also somewhat useless. Basically they say this is part of wear and tear. I understand wear and tear but 2 days? For the original price they are charging, I would had expected a few weeks. They even offered 20% off a new item. Another chew toy? LOL. I didn’t want a replacement. Just a better response. I knew about this product for several weeks, but I delayed in getting it. I thought I'd give the puppy a chance with regular training methods (treats, praise, verbal corrections) before I started futzing with a special collar and have to buy it in two sizes. That was really stupid. I wish I would have bought it sooner and spent the money on the two sizes. I got this one in a size Medium and it fits perfectly with just an easy adjustment of the buckle. Our little man is a Labradoodle, now at about 32 lbs and expected to reach a 60-ish weight probably. He is VERY high energy, very strong and very smart, but our little darling is no longer little and I have been finding myself struggling with his 32 lb self pulling on the walks. I cannot imagine when he is full grown, so I decided finally to nip this in the bud and I ordered the gentle leader. It arrived today and I was amazed at how he has NO power to pull AT ALL. I even noticed that in many situations like when he would normally lunge at something, he didn't, maybe that is just from the novelty and will eventually wear off, but for today, it was as if he had a total attitude adjustment. It was like magic. He is none too pleased about the new situation, for sure, but I am pleased as punch. Will take a few days of working with him to get used to it so he stops trying to pull it down with his paws, but even when he was trying he couldn't get it off successfully unless I let off on the tension to the leash altogether which I was able to correct for easily enough. I have an 18 month old standard poodle. I’ve had her since 9 weeks old. She’s full of energy and gets super excited. I’ve trained her well on a typical lead but I was having issues controlling her when she would get excited by people and animals. I have owned a lot of equipment over the years for my 4 legged friends, all from various manufacturers. I can honestly say the Ruffwear brand are probably the best I have used. Strong and well made with quality hardware. I particularly like the seperate dog tag mounting point and rubber disc to cushion the tag. This means no more rattling of metal against metal as my dog walks and plays. It has to be more pleasurable for the dog too, considering their highly tuned hearing. The item itself is mediocre at best. . It’s an overpriced collar with a plastic clip. There was a time when I really enjoyed your products. Now I have to sacrifice quality for the esthetic color that I want. . I would have much preferred and would even pay the up charge to have the color I chose with the metal buckle. I do a lot of hiking and backpacking with my pup and when he’s excited (which is often) I now have a concern for the durability of his collar AND his harness. I doubt I’ll be purchasing ruffwear again anytime soon and to get a quality product you will have to pay a lot more and also sacrifice in the esthetic department.Zach H.

I had high hopes for this collar as my older dog has a chronic condition and we are all very tired of his cone bumping into all of us and the whole house, and so is he. But, despite measuring and it appearing to fit exactly as described in the instructions, he had NO TROUBLE getting to the growth on his underside. Complete waste of time and money. He may as well be wearing a sock. We tightened everything to the point of it being uncomfortable for the dog and still he just reaches around like its nothing. I don't understand what this collar is supposed to do for a regular 60 pound mixed breed dog, about the size and shape of a medium lab.mg77
The Bite Not collar slowed my pup down from licking his neutering surgery, but didn’t entirely stop it. He is very flexible, so could wrap himself around to lick. The collars are very well made. I had to use one size larger to control his movements better than the right sized one. We bought two, one for our larger dog. Use the cone of shame in his cage for the night.
