Bought this for my 3 year old’s birthday and she loves it. I think it does a lot, especially for what it cost, and we’ve still got more to learn with it. The only thing that brings the rating down for me is the battery life and charging. The battery doesn’t last very long at all, which I had read in other reviews, and it’s a bit of a pain to charge up. Charger doesn’t plug straight it, you have to unscrew the battery compartment and remove the battery to charge it. If the battery life was longer this wouldn’t be so annoying, but I’d say she probably gets 45 mins to an hour play before it needs charging again! Firstly, may I talk about charging. I was a bit disappointed that you can't simply plug a USB cable into it. Okay, this may be something to do with childproofing, but you have to unscrew a cover, remove a battery pack and charge with a very flimsy and unique cable plugged into a computer or plug (not supplied) but a phone charger would be fine. This for me is a chore. Another down side is the instructions, pretty useless. You basically press a button on the remote for the puppy to perform an action. Okay, fine. But to program it? No information…. anywhere. Guard the room feature, no information whatsoever. A note for the manufacture would be to be able to switch off the tunes it sometimes plays and just hear the dog sounds on their own, the electronic sounds drown out the actual puppy. One person mentioned the floor covering. Whilst I was prepared to use it on a hard surface, I agree that sometimes the toy struggles with wheel spin, slipping, but I have managed to get it to work on a very short pile carpet. When the unit goes into standby, you have to switch it off and on again, the remote doesn't wake it up and as for the follow me or gestures features, they don't work well at all. No tail wagging, a missed opportunity for something that obviously a puppy would do and put a smile on the kids face, a shame in my opinion. Longevity: This is a toy that may not keep one's attention for very long, but as in the title, what you get is pretty good for the money and further more, a three year warranty means that if it is put in the back of the cupboard for months at a time, the security of a long warranty is reassuring. Ultimately, a good giggle, but will lose its appeal fairly quickly. Perhaps once finished with, pass to a friend or relative and so on.Boof

This toy is so cute. It is a kitty that has a detachable push-type leash that is absolutely safe for kids, with no string at all. It’s very clever actually and easy enough for little fingers to manage. The music is be-boppin and speeds up when you push it faster, and works on a motion detector of some sort. I only wish for the love of parents that it had an on off switch. If you have a little someone that loves to take new “pets” to bed with them, this will keep playing music as long as there is a little bit of movement. That is the only reason I gave it four stars. It’s a cute kitty though with a lot of fun features so don’t let that stop you from getting. Just keep it in the playroom 🙂SuzyVA

My Dogs love it and have lost weight. They are holding their proper weight now and have lots of energy. Skin and coat has nice condition and they have stopped throwing up dog food after eating. Their teeth have began to loose the tarter buildup as well. I will never feed any other dog food !childofiam

A talk with our vet revealed that it was very likely due to the food we'd been feeding her (which was specifically made for older dogs). A gradual switch to this brand and formulation did the trick and she seems more energetic, too! My vet questioned why I was feeding my beagle a lower quality food. My dog had digestive issues and was on the rounder side. Vet said this is what he feeds his senior dog and urged me to try it on mine. 4 months in, my dog has lost weight, is excited at meal times and eats every bite, has not stomach problems and his coat is softer and shinier than it has ever been. We have a Yorkie that loves this stuff! We started with the rolls and he was really eating it up but after a while it took us having to coax him into eating. We came across these and from the first time we gave it to him, he licks the bowl clean each and every time. It is now the only food that I will feed him. I know that all the ingredients are fresh and good for him. He has more energy (if that's possible) and his coat is shinier than it has ever been. An all around great and healthy choice for your loved one and it's at a great price, even with everything going up these days! Would highly recommend.Tammy

After my 7 month old puppy was healing from a spaying surgery (just got back from) her appetite was gone, but the only thing she would eat was Freshpet chicken treats. We tried giving her normal kibble and some beef wet food but she wouldn't touch it, she's never had beef before though so that might've played a part. My mom decided to try FreshPet and my dog went crazy for it, ate the whole thing in one sitting and even picked up the paper plate and flung it around. She's never ever done that in the 4+ months we've had her, we've tried multiple kibble/wet food brands as well. We've switched to the Vital line rolls and she still likes them, we mix with her normal kibble and she eats around the kibble (she usually comes back to finish it after). This food is definitely worth the price although the feeding guidelines seem a little too much. The kibble we fed promises shiny coats (which it did provide) but with freshpet her coat is even more shiny and she's so much more happier to eat. My little chihuahua, Judah, is six years old. Like a lot of older chihuahuas, she’s lost most of her teeth, so she can’t eat regular hard kibble. I initially had her try some Blue Buffalo individual wet food, but she always seemed tired and run down. Within three days of switching to this food, she was more energetic and played with her toys for the first time in over a year. It’s been two months on this food now, and she’s a new, unrecognizable puppy. Judah weighs approximately eight pounds. I give her half a cup in the morning, and another half in the afternoon. This is the only brand of dog food that doesn’t upset my Pitbulls stomach. Plus she absolutely loves it! I can even give her individual kibble pieces as treats because she loves it that much. However, I personally think that the guide for how much food you should give your dog per day is very inaccurate. It says to give my 45lb Pitbull 2x the amount of food than what the vet said to give her. If I gave her the amount of food the bag suggested, she would be so overweight. As my 9 year old border collie mix has gotten older, she has developed sensitivities to certain foods. Our veterinarian recommended Hills Science Diet Adult Chicken Barley Recipe and it has worked wonders! She looks forward to feeding time now and has not experienced stomach issues since we started her on this food 5 months ago. I have two Boston terriers. One of which has very sensitive issues when it comes to dog food. It would literally be months before I was able to find a dog food that he would eat without vomiting. It honestly became part of my daily routine to clean vomit up 20 to 30 minutes after “Wesley“ ate. My vet recommended many many dog foods and all to the same avail, vomiting 20 minutes after he ate. I then decided to take my own route and try science diet. To say the least it has been the answer to my questions my problems and everything else that goes along with owning a dog with sensitive stomach issues. I'm sure this is a good product, and with a name like Pala- tech I was hoping it would be palatable and yummy for my dog. Unfortunately she did not like it one bit. I have to break it up into her food. I tried n on my neighbor's dog – he spit it out too. I can get it into her with a glob of braunsweiger or the pill pocket – but breaking it into her food is the easiest. I haven't used it long enough to know if t he results will be goodCarla B

He is super cute and several family members had fun playing with him. Only issue is he kept falling over – off chair, table, etc. Had to put him on floor. He survived multiple falls, so seems pretty sturdy. I think kids will enjoy playing with him and learning other things he can do.romc.us.8koiih

Really cute. My mum thinks hes great. The only trouble is she cant switch him off by herself so one day when she fancied a snooze, she was telling him to be quiet, not realising that her speaking was keeping him going. I ordered this after seeing a review of it on morning television. It has been a great hit and the recipient loves her very much. She has helped enormously with speech and provides some fun back into life. I have yet to see her as she lives a long way away but hope to visit after the 17th May. The good thing about her is that she doesn't need looking after or make a mess or entangle her lead around legs which aren't very steady. Money well spent I think.Gail L

This is such a dumb toy. It comes with tiny little pieces that will inevitably end up in the landfill. The fizz bath, well I guess we did it wrong. The instructions are not clear, so we ended up opening the plastic heart. The fizz bath is pointless. I opened this with my seven year old daughter. We had so much fun uncovering each surprise. The bath bomb at the bottom doesn’t fizz away quickly, so if your child is impatient like mine we only dissolved half way then I just removed the bath bomb so we could open it the rest of the way. We received out playful pup on my daughters birthday last week. Fist thing we did was turn him on and he started playing right away I liked the fact that you didn’t have to do a bunch of set up to be able to play with it as soon as it was opens. We then named him “puppy” that was a simple process. My daughter played with him for a n hour or so before the battery died and we had to plug him in. I was surprised that she was able to play with him right away I had figured we would need to charge it before playing. The one down fall we have found is that it dosent pick up on our voices really well but it will pick up on my husbands so I’m assuming that my daughter and my voices are too soft to pick up and since it’s a kids toy not a dads toy that kinda sucks. Her favorite part so far is that is “pees” on the floor she laughed so hard at that. Even baby sister is getting in on playing with him, and we love giving him snuggles. We were so excited when we learned we got chosen to get this toy for free! Once we received the toy (we got the puppy by the way) we charged him up for an hour just as it stated in the instruction booklet. When my daughter switched him on it was amazing and so life like. He sat when she told him to sit down, he would roll over on his back and she rubbed his tummy. Shortly after that he stopped moving and his eyes were still green. We kept trying to see what was wrong with him but by the look of it he needed to be charged, AGAIN. 20 minutes didn’t even pass yet and he stopped working. The same thing kept happening over and over again until she eventually got tired of it happening while she was trying to say the commands to him. I received the Zoomer Playful Pup free to review from Family Rated for my honest opinion. Words cannot described how excited my kids were when they received this. We recently moved to our new apartment a year ago in which our new apartment does not allow us to have pets. We use to have a 2yr old all white Labrador/Chihuahua mix. We had to give it away because of the no pet policy. So this Zoomer pup kind of looks like a Labrador/Chihuahua. When my kids received the Zoomer Play pup, it acts and responds just like a real puppy, they were beyond thrill. This is like us adopting a whole new puppy into our family. So we named it "Chibi" after our previous dog that we gave away. My daughter truly misses her old dog so this has brought a lot of comfort for her. She sleeps with Zoomer Playful pup every night like it's her real puppy. You can hear my kids giggle when Zoomer Playful pup is laying on his back kicking it's leg while you give it a belly rub. The playful pup can do many tricks but sometimes we have a little problem with the voice command, for example we will tell it to "Roll Over" it will do some other tricks "Let's Dance" or "Lie Down" instead. However, it is hilarious when Zoomer Playful pup can go potty. The only negative is we wish the playtime can be longer. It seems after 1 hour charge, playtime only lasts about 15-20min. Aside from that I would say this is the best Robotic dog ever, I highly recommend this to everyone! If I ever win the Lotto I would buy tons of these and donate to the Children's Hospital for kids that have special health problem or allergies that they can't have real puppies. We absolutely love the Present pets. Very unique concept, probably the first toy that unbox itself. My kids has so much fun playing with their adorable pet. They enjoyed watching them doing funny and exciting things like giving kisses when she’s cuddled, wags her tail and shuffles her paws when she’s excited, responds to your voice and plays games. Love the fact that each Pets pup has over 100 sounds and actions. It would make the perfect gift to give away to the kids who wants their own pets who listen to them and play with them just like real pets. My daughter loves her new Present Pet from SpinMaster. It comes in a sealed box that opens to reveal a surprise pet. The puppy should break through the last bit of the box itself, but we missed reading the included note that stated those instructions. My daughter loves surprise toys and was thrilled when her box was opened to reveal Kweenie. The dog responds to her voice by barking to communicate when you’ve entered bark mode by simply pressing the button on its back. The toy will go into cuddle mode when you pet the top of its head, gets playful when you pet its belly, and will do a trick when you hold its back button and pet it’s head. My daughter favorite feature is game mode where the puppy will bark in sequence and wait for you to imitate its number and rhythm of barks. I bought this for my 5 year old for Christmas. We followed all of the directions and the puppy started to punch out of the box but then it just stopped. After waiting several minutes after all movementand noises stopped, my daughter just decided to take it out herself. It's cute, but doesn't do as much as I thought. The back legs don't move by themselves only the front. So when it tries to walk, it just drags them around. It's very loud and the instructions aren't very clear. We're having trouble getting it to do some of the items in the manual. Overall, it's cute but it's not her favorite.Kristen
