Except, it has 4 elastics underneath that are a natural attractant for a puppy and the bed itself sheds constantly. Fluff all over the carpet, crate and dog. Very disappointed in this product. My mini-Goldendoodle puppy was only crated and left alone 8 times but was able to tear the seam open and pull out the stuffing. Let's pray he doesn't get sick from this. He is not a wild dog and he doesn't mind his crate. He digs and puts everything in his mouth like any 8-10 week old puppy. Bought this to go with the crate. Winced at first when I saw the price but in the end well worth it. Comfortable and has a raised ridge to contain spills should you have one. Easy to clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Have not put it In Washing machine. I was initially worried when I purchased this bed because I had in the past the fleece version which shed little white fleece balls all over my carpet. We let him try the Bob-O-Pedic , Tempurpedic, Sleep by Numbers, his all in all favorite it, MidWest Homes for Pets Quiet Time Bolstered Crate Bed . No more counting sheep for this guy ! No more sleep for us either, with all his snoring! Theses beds last, machine washable, very we made, we have been using for years. He tells us when he starts getting a sore back, then we know it is time for a new pad. I haven't yet put them in the crates but they are so soft and fuzzy that I know the dogs will love them. I also like that the base is padded whereas many others aren't. Will no doubt get more in the coming months as I do have 24 little dogs here. I did get 3 of the smaller mats, not realizing how small they would be, but some of my smallest dogs can use them.EJ
We rescued a 3 year old 7 lb chihuahua mix. Turns out he wasn’t house trained as we were led to believe ( misunderstanding between rescue and foster) AND he was also confinement phobic! Oh boy! This poor dog was so anxiety filled, that he would chew holes through EVERY pad we bought for his crate. We tried to gate him in kitchen and we ate through the wood and plastic gate, then got stuck in between a metal gate the next night. We even bought a VERY expensive extra tough bed thinking THIS will be the one he won’t destroy. Nope…..as the camera showed, within 1 hour he chewed several holes on the top, flipped the bed, then proceeded to chew the bottom! We were at our wits end, realizing he’d have to be left in the crate without anything comfortable to lay on. That broke my heart. I bought two of these because they did not have lots of filling which is what he seemed to go after. Also, unlike all the other beds, this was furry, so I wondered if he would chew it?!?? Well he did NOT! We cannot say WHY he does not make holes in this ( maybe he’s smart enough not to want a furry mouth lol). Either way, he will still flip it and claw at it when in a panic but no holes!!! Thankfully we are working with the vet and a behaviorist and his anxiety is much improved with he addition of some medications. What shocked me is that as hard as he was clawing at these pads, very little fur has come off and there are still no bald patches as you’d expect.Nancydrew1406

I would have given this 5 stars had they had all the colors shown – a pet peeve (like that pun?) of mine. I haven't really used the two beds purchased yet but I have seen similar in stores and this one seems to be of better quality. A bit thicker on the bottom. I didn't measure it like some reviewers but my dogs are 8 lbs. and under so I know they will fit. These are good for up on the couch or on the deck outside and the price was reasonable with the $20 off entire purchase. I would not have paid full price for this type of bed. My cocker uses this as a play mat in the living room. Since he is not allowed on the sofa or carpet, this pad is for him to sit/lay comfortably while he hangs out with the family. It's padded enough to keep him comfortable and happy on the hard ceramic floors of our house. I've noticed that it's not padded enough for him to sleep comfortably through the night. After 3 or 4 hours, he'll go to his plush bed to get real sleep. My dog loved the mat as soon at it arrive. He knew it was his right when I was taking it out of the box. The mat arrived quickly and packaged well. No damage and in perfect condition. Once I took it out of the plastic and set it on the floor, it was ready to go. As a play mat, it can't be better. it's stain and odor resistant. My dog has oily skin that tends to be on the smellier side and I don't really see it affecting the mat much. The mat is black so I can't see the oily shadow that would usually appear on other dog beds I buy for my dog. The bottom is slip resistant. My cocker sheds and I like that the hairs don't stick to it. I can easily vacuum the mat with the crevice tool on my vacuum. I've had it a month and other than the rawhide/saliva marks that are left on it after a couple long chewing sessions, the bed still looks new. I just take some water, a toothbruch, and baby wipes to the rawhide/saliva marks and after some light brushing and wiping, it's clean again. I want to get a smaller one for my car. Excellent product. Have Midwest brand crates for greyhounds and no previous crate beds compares to this one. I have four of these beds now and am very pleased with overall quality. Perfect fit, doesn't move around, dogs love the bumper sides, and can be made more nest-like with addition of soft blanket. This size washes nicely in commercial machine and air dries rapidly in the event of an incident. Definitely would purchase again.Carolyn

I’m not sure if my dog likes it yet (we just got it today), but it’s so adorable. I’m not sure if you’re technically able to wash it, but I put it in the laundry machine on the hand wash (?) cycle (cold water, low) and then put it through the dryer (it took about 3 times to dry all the way). Kind of a tight fit in both machines, but it worked! It’s exactly what you’d expect- a giant strawberry bed. I have a 9 lb dog that’s on the longer side and there’s plenty of room for her!bobabo

These are the cutest little beds! I only planned to have them out during the Christmas period, but my pets love them! I have 2 cats and 2 dogs, but only 2 sleigh beds.
