I fed this to my older dog (now almost 11) for 4 years before he developed a sensitivity to poultry. I have another dog, Mia, now whom I fed the puppy version of this food until she was a year old and she loved it, so naturally we moved up to this food once she hit a year old. With all the worry about grain free foods potentially causing heart issues, we’d tried to switch Mia to a grain-inclusive food but she had diarrhea and vomiting when we tried gradually switching her food that progressively got worse. So we switched back to this food and we won’t try to switch off of it again knowing she cannot process grains! The ingredients are high quality for grain-free and there are no by-products. Mia maintains a healthy weight, soft shiny fur, and hasn’t gotten sick her whole life thus far (15 months old). My older dog also did very well on it until we had to switch him because of poultry, and his fur hasn’t been the same on his new food, very lackluster, but that could be due to his age as well. I’m not sure. All in all I highly recommend this food for small breed adult dogs who have to have grain-free food! I also want to note that this food contains taurine, which is suspected to help prevent the heart problems associated with grain-free foods. Thanks Wellness!CM
I have three little dogs–a Terrier mix, a Poodle, and a Shih Zhu. Feeding the first two is easy. They'll eat just about anything and stay healthy and active.Our little Shih Zhu, however, is another story. Most everything makes her vomit…and when she does, it's not pretty, especially during COVID lockdowns where grooming is often deferred (or happens in my ham-fisted way). I bought this food 2 weeks ago because my dog has been picky about her food for months now. I have tried Hills Science, Purina Pro, Blue Buffalo – all puppy dry food. I think she really doesn’t like the chicken taste so I thought I’d try something different. From the start when I was phasing out the old food with the new she was way more interested in eating. We’ve been feeding Taste of the Wild Appalachian for small dogs for about a year now after switching to about 10 different brands. He loves it. The kibble is small, and the food is palatable and healthy. I wish the small kibble was available in fish and sweet potato too, but this has some fish in it. It’s a great choice in food for a very picky little dog. Now if he would only stop chewing his feet. This is new and been going on for about a year or so. Our Vet put us on Fromm years ago when my dog was having stomach problems and we have never left. We even started our puppy on it when we got a second dog as it is a lifetime food so any age can use it. The only down side is it is expensive and I have considered switching to a less expensive brand because of it but my dogs are very healthy on this food. Blue Buffalo put our puppy in the vets because the vet said our puppy couldn't handle that formula and that he needed a well balanced diet. We decided to try science diet after comparing seven different brands. Our puppy Jeremiah was drawn to his food bowl immediately and ate his meal without encouragement. This puppy food it great because of the variety of protein in it. My puppy enjoyed this dog food. The transition was simple and did not have any issues. It's difficult to know what is good or healthy for your pup these days. But this food appears to have good ingredients. Transitioning to this food took a bit longer as my pup felt something was off and he was rather suspicious. But eventually he ate the food 100%. I wouldn't say he is ravenous to eat these kibbles. Our new pup arrived with a case of dander and rough fur in several places. Fans of Fromm for many years, we started him on Fromm Gold Large Breed Puppy, but after two months the skin issues hadn't abated (otherwise, he was doing great, though!). We turned to Fromm Heartland Gold Large Puppy to see if cutting poultry from his diet made a difference. My little Morkie used to take Royal Canin Vet food (Gastrointestinal) recommended for his digestive sensitivity and pancreatitis episodes. I really like these but they are kind of pricey. My dog eats them right up but I wish they sold more of them in the one box. I usually buy the box of 12 but you can buy these individually as well. There good for on the go or travel too. I used to buy the little cans when my dog was a lot smaller but then switched to these because the portion is bigger. They’re easy to serve and have a good amount of food in them. My dog gets so happy when she sees me about to serve her this. It looks much better than some other brands out there that look like blended mush. This product has squares of meat and the veggies are visible. I pair with their dry food and feed this every other day. I leave the dry food available at all times. You can mix together or serve separately whatever your doggy prefers. When I was given my Dachshund, he was 6 months old. I took him to establish at a local vet. They provided me a free bag of Science Diet. I then recused a second Dachshund. My dogs absolutely LOVE this food! We rotate between the different flavors so they don’t get bored. My one pup was actually having issues with coat loss and switching to this food I could see a big improvement. It’s extremely important to know what you are feeding your pets. One of the main reasons I picked this brand was their transparency on what goes into their foods and the fact that they both produce and package their foods in their own facilities. A large % of food recalls are due to cross contamination when pet food companies use outside places to package their foods since non pet food items are also packaged in those facilities. Excellent dog food for those that care about ingredients! We use Acana Healthy Grains Lamb, Fish and Red Meat recipes. My Golden and my German Shepherd are both allergic to chicken. MOST companies add chicken, chicken fat, and peas, lentils, legumes to stretch the viability of their products. My dogs cannot eat any of these! Trying to find food with REAL MEAT and healthy grains has become impossible! So far, the only 3 I have found are Acana, Orijen (same company…Champion) and Farmina. Aki loves this food. He will eat it dry, no topper, no broth – in fact, I've begun to suspect he prefers it that way. Other foods he tends to like a bit of something with it. This is the first kibble that I've actually liked the smell of – if it tastes as good as it smells, no wonder my dog loves it. We practice rotational feeding and while the others are fine, this one makes me want to taste it (but I won't). My 5 year old Goldendoodle has been eating Fromm food his entire life. He has never had a problem, and his coat is beautiful and soft. He started with the Salmon Tunalini, but is now on the Surf & Turf. He loves both equally, and they are both outstanding. These are grain free, so there are no cheap, junky fillers. Dog poop is firm and compact. We recently got a 1 year old Labrador Retriever, and have transitioned him over to Fromm. We tried both Salmon-A-La-Veg and Duck-A-La-Veg. These are also grain free and excellent foods. His coat is a lustrous shiny black. Both dogs love their food, and have never turned their nose at it. I recently purchased the 4Health small breed dog food for my 3 tiny girls. As soon as I put it in their bowl, 2 of them started to eat and it didn't take long at all for the 3rd one to join in! My 6 year old shepherd mix is allergic to chicken, and trying to find dog food without that in it is a huge challenge! My vet recommended 4Health dog food for her, and after checking every variety at TSC, we found this one and she is doing so well. We combine it with a little bit of canned 4Health Lamb and Rice, also one of the few canned varieties without chicken, in any form, and supplies the grain in her diet we believe she needs. My biggest wish for the 4Health line of dog food would be less Grain Free food. My vet says most dogs are not sensitive to grain as advertisers want us to believe, but chicken is the actual culprit. Some studies show grain free food is a potential danger to a dog's heart.
This food really helped my 4 pound Chihuahua with her digestive issues. She had horrible vomiting/diarrhea for days on another dog food that I found out was too rich for her little stomach. After two days of 4 Health kibble and wet food mixed together all her digestive symptoms disappeared. She loves this food,!! Highly recommend.

We have a Yorkie that loves this stuff! We started with the rolls and he was really eating it up but after a while it took us having to coax him into eating. We came across these and from the first time we gave it to him, he licks the bowl clean each and every time. It is now the only food that I will feed him. I know that all the ingredients are fresh and good for him. He has more energy (if that's possible) and his coat is shinier than it has ever been. After my 7 month old puppy was healing from a spaying surgery (just got back from) her appetite was gone, but the only thing she would eat was Freshpet chicken treats. We tried giving her normal kibble and some beef wet food but she wouldn't touch it, she's never had beef before though so that might've played a part. My mom decided to try FreshPet and my dog went crazy for it, ate the whole thing in one sitting and even picked up the paper plate and flung it around. She's never ever done that in the 4+ months we've had her, we've tried multiple kibble/wet food brands as well. We've switched to the Vital line rolls and she still likes them, we mix with her normal kibble and she eats around the kibble (she usually comes back to finish it after). This food is definitely worth the price although the feeding guidelines seem a little too much. The kibble we fed promises shiny coats (which it did provide) but with freshpet her coat is even more shiny and she's so much more happier to eat. Even though I am completely disgusted with the use of packing peanuts I love the food and will give it 5 stars. I have a two and a half year old great dane who has been on $90 prescription dog food and $200 a month allergy shots. After the third round of allergy shots with no relief I did some research and have decided on yeast being her problem. So after a month and a half on zignature trout and salmon her hair has grown back nicely, the smell is gone (cheese curls), and she actually likes her food. Not the kangaroo though she wouldn't even bite into one piece. I will likely go back to Chewy for two reasons. Chewy delivers in just two days and they don't use packing peanuts that go everywhere. I got Zignature cause I had been waiting for it to come to Australia ever since I first laid my eyes upon it. Which I think was around 8 years ago or so. It’s gone through a lot of formula changes, this recent one made it cheaper. It’s price a couple years ago was so high barely anyone could really afford it. I’ve been a part of a lot of groups whose people had mentioned it’s price a lot. When we finally received it, a friend had told me about it and I immediately went and got a bag of the lamb. I looked to see what the difference in the small bites was but other than smaller bites nothing. I got the regular size as the small bites had the kibble shape my dogs hate. They liked it the first week or two, I mix feed, but than they went off it. This was expected truthfully as they seem to enjoy kibbles with more ingredients which add flavour. To be honest regardless if they liked it or not I bought it, because of how badly I’ve wanted it. I’ve currently got it off the rotation, but I’ll add it in at a later date again and see if their interested again. The 1.8kg bags do not zip up, you cannot close the bag. Which is unfortunate really. The pricing is honestly incredibly good for a US food. They are usually incredibly expensive.Veronika

I had never bought food for my dog from this brand before, so I was unsure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw my dogs willingness to try this new food! Loki, my male Australian Shepard, really seemed to enjoy it overall. All of the food are the same flat circle shape, and did not have any smell that I could tell. He ate his entire bowl happily. It seemed to work well with his stomach, and there are really no negatives I can give for this particular brand and flavor! The only suggestion I have that would make this great product even better would be to add a seal to the bag itself, so that it could be closed in between feedings. I think the fact that all of the ingredients are organic is fantastic, and I love knowing that I am giving my dog the best food available. I would absolutely recommend this to pet owners looking to feed their dogs a healthy option.alexis.b
I wanted to start off by thanking Influenster for this complimentary gift for my babies. 😊 Okay, let's get into the full review. So, my doggies are both Yorkshire Terriers. One is a Teacup and the other a Toy size. My teacup is the pickiest eater, she will not eat any type of dog, so I was excited to try because I literally have full bags of dog food that she just will not eat. My other baby will eat anything honestly, it is really rare when he doesn't. I immediately knew he would love it. I opened the box with them and they both wagged their tails in excitement which was already a good sign. I opened the bag and I saw my teacup smell it and pull back, after a few sniffles she started eating the food and liked. I was so glad I thought it would last only for a day or two and she would go back to her way of not eating anymore but it has been about a week or two since I have the food and she enjoys it! I am so happy I will totally order more before I run out. 😂 I think the ingredients are pretty awesome they are great choices and very nutrient for my babies. I love how it's organic as well. Honestly, in my opinion it smelled like dog food but it was not that strong scent of dog food. I would totally recommend this to another pet parent and especially to the ones with picky eaters. we got this today as a complimentary gift from influenster, and this is mine well her #voxbox And she was so excited, she even help open the box, from a puppy that was ,4 pounds and odds were against her now she's around 50 pounds this sure will be to her benefit.!!!!! I will definitely repurchase this one!!!! she needed something like this in her life !!! she liked how it was small and easy to consume, not too hard n big like the other foods she's had in past! n takes forever to eat or digest,,, we recently took her off wet food to dry a few months ago so when I knew this was coming I knew she would be one happy dog!!! the smell was not strong. the bag was so easy to open and the packaging looked so pretty and great it even had the details on what it was on back and I was happy to find that it was cooked in a usa kitchen. that's great !!; I'm glad this is one healthy n has healthy grains mix n most of all it's organix which will keep her healthy n vibrant!!! and keep her at her best. she wanted to keep eating it! so I'm glad our dog Naomi enjoyed it n thanks #influnenster for this amazing opportunity!!!! I am a dog trainer using the click and treat method. I have purchased the Buddy Systems to loan to my clients for their time in class. It eliminates on item to hold onto while doing the click and treat method of positive training. Also having nervous human hands off the leash is settling for the dogs. Love the system. I walk both my dogs with it, who are 90 and 50 points. I found my should was starting to hurt, not from their pulling, but from holding my arm at the same position while holding the other leash.
