We have a Cane Corso, Staffy, Great Dane mix who absolutely loves to tug and chew, not to mention weighs 95 pounds and is as strong as an ox. We got her this toy when she was 4 months old, and only just replaced it after 2.5 years of intense (and I mean INTENSE) tugging, both with humans and other dogs. You could tell me this toy was made of titanium and I wouldn't even question it, sometimes I'd swear you could tow a car with it. It is by far the most durable toy we have found for a dog who can wreck even the most expensive, toughest-rated toys with ease. It is durable, flexible, has nice wide handles for both you and your dog to hold onto, and is long enough that there is minimal risk of your dog accidentally slipping and nipping your hand. My dog is a super chewer, and VERY efficient at taking apart stuffed toys. This lobster has lasted the longest of any stuffed toy I've given her. Even once she does get the stuffing out, the strong black edging makes the toy good as a tug toy for months. It seems like this is a well made dog toy! The edges are all reinforced so it appears that it could take a lot of chewing and playtime! The size is very large though – 15" long by almost 9" wide and pretty heavy. I have a smaller dog and she still likes it but it's a little too big and heavy for her to drag around (hence only 4 stars). However, she still chases it and likes the two squeakers in the front claws (one in each claw). And she likes to chew on the sides of it. I think this is better suited for large & extra large size dogs though with the size and weight of the toy!MVMom

Got this for my older dog since our puppy has been getting a lot of toys lately, and he felt left out. I tried to find the most durable toy. This one was rated 8/10 on the chew scale for Tuffys. Within 30 minutes he had tore the head off of the lobster and was eating the stuffing, which I hope is not going to make him sick. I would not recommend for moderate chewers. This product was way overpriced for how long it lasted.
