My avid little mouser cat caught herself a little prize just a few days before a month-prior planned trip my husband and i were unavoidably about to go to. Apparently that mouse had bitten her back in the process, right on her tender little lip cleft! Before we knew it, that bite had gotten infected so bad she became lethargic, her face swollen an angry shade of red, she could not eat or even drink on her own and she could not even close her mouth and was drooling on herself. Because of the covid situation and proximity of timing to our trip to see family, there was no way to get her to a vet in time before we had to leave in 3-4 days. So we did the best we could with a dropper to feed and water her and rushed out to get Vetericyn to help stave off the infection which reduced the angry redness to a healthier pinkish. For the very few days we had before we had to go, I was keeping her hydrated and was spraying her face with the Vetericyn regularly (as directed) even as we headed out the door with one last treatment. We did cut our weekend trip short by a day out of concern for her, but when we came back she was doing significantly better in that the swelling was down, but was reddened again. Back to the spray treatment, make sure she got dropper-watered, and by that evening she was gingerly back to parking in her 'askance' spot hoping for bits of our chicken dinner! I fully believe that had we not gotten Vetericyn and treated her with it in the few days prior to leaving that we wouldn't still have her today. Using this for hot spots on my canine, this stuff does work but it sometimes can take up to 2 8oz. Bottles to heal the area's treated. Not sure if it's the strength of medicine or just those stubborn spots. I caught the spots early on and started treating them immediately and have been treating them for a month now and they are getting better but slowly, these things are stubborn. I can say that absolutely nothing else I tried worked. Believe it or not, I read online the other day that rubbing Pepto Bismol on hot spots actually works, you heard right, Pepto Bismol. I haven't had the nerve to try it as I thought it could just be some nut trying to infect your pet even worse. You just cannot trust anyone anymore, especially after what happened in 2020, if you know what I mean.bandit74

I bought this tie-out about 4 months ago and to my surprise, my dog was no longer tied to his dog run cable. As I approached him for feeding, I noticed his cable was broken and dangling from his collar. The specs said the cable could withstand up to 7X the weight of the dog. My dog is 40lbs. The look of the gate is good but not really meant for outdoors as it shows in the Walmart ad. We put this outdoors and it has immediately began to rust in certain spots. I am going to try to return this for a full refund if I can. It seems like it work great indoors away from the elements but certainly not outdoors without rusting.JazzyJeff

I used two of these to section off an area on my patio to keep my dogs away from my bbq equipment. Solid build. I was even able to relocate the door panel to another point in the fence to work better for my needs. My 7 week old tri color bully has vomited in his third day at our house, I googled and saw it said it’s normal for pups to do this sometimes, no worries. Two days later early morning(6:50am EST) he vomited then about 10 minutes later he pooped out about 8 long worms, found they were Roundworms. I immediately went to Meijer and grabbed two boxes of this 7 Way De-Wormer for Small Dogs and gave him a tablet which he happily chomped down. He passed loads of dead worms in each stool that day(like twice). The next morning his belly wasn’t bloated anymore but he wouldn’t eat much but drank water. By the evening he was felling great and back running through the house, he passed about 3-4 live worms in 2 of his 3 stools that day, the third stool had no worms! On the third day there were no more worms in his stool but I gave him the other tablet because I saw a very good vet recommend one deworming tablet day one, a second on day three then again in two weeks. It’s day 6 and he’s been worm free for going on 3 days! It says not to use til 12 weeks on the box, however if your pup is over 6 lbs then I think its okay to use. My little girl is a pit and catahoula mix and shes only about 7-8 weeks old and she handled the dewormer very well. She passed a HUGE tapeworm 🤢 we decided to deworm her due to tape worm segments being passed every so often which is absolutely gross. It took a little over 24 hours for her to pass everything. This is the single most effective and affordable dewormer for dogs. I will recommend this dewormer to everyone and use it for any puppies that I have in the future. Liquid dewormer from the feed store has NOTHING on this stuff and my puppy wanted to eat more of the tablet so I guess it was good. Seriously, get this for your pet you will not regret it.Sara

These worked right away for my 12 pound 1 year old dog. It took overnight to see the results. I snuck it into a chewy treat before bedtime and he didn’t notice it at all since they are super small. After receiving only 1 of the 2 pills (give second pill 2-3 months later for lasting results), he didn’t have anymore worms coming out of his poop and randomly out of his butt. He was constipated for about two weeks to a month and I don’t know if it had anything to do with the worms or the pill but he’s never had that issue before. It was a pretty quick fix by switching out his food temporarily for soft/watery food. Do not think twice about getting it for them as it is life threatening to wait too long for a vet visit. I decided to write a review bc just the other day I gave both my dogs a milk bone dog biscuit like I do every day, a couple of times a day lol. And was watching both my dogs go crazy over these dog treats and they tore them up. Mind you my oldest dog is picky when it comes to treats and food, and usually always rejects anything I try to give her; but not these! I've been giving these milk bone dog treats to my dogs for years (everyday 3 times a day) and they absolutely love them. I always wonder what the heck is actually inside these darn milk bone dog biscuits/treats, for my dogs to go head over paws for one. but at this point I guess it doesn't really matter what is in them, bc my dogs vet knows they get these as treats and never advised me to stop giving them to my fur babies, and watching my dogs go absolutely crazy over these dog bones; is all that really matters to me.melissa.m

My pit bull really loves these things. She gets so excited when we say “treat” and runs right towards the cupboard we keep them in. She doesn’t usually even like biscuit type treats but she goes crazy for these things. They’ve helped us in treat training her. She seems pretty happy with the taste and her poops have been healthy after eating them. They’re supposed to help with cleaning her teeth, and her teeth are still in good shape, but her breath still smells like meat all the time. The only concern I have is that I read these have carcinogen chemicals and preservatives in the ingredients which are bad for your dog and can cause cancer. So now I try to give these to her in moderation just in case. I like how accessible these treats are since they’re sold in almost every major store. And I like that the company donates money to canine assistant programs that supply trained dogs to people with handicaps. I would never buy these dog treats again. About a year ago I would give my new puppy these treats and she randomly began having bathroom issues. I then assumed it was her dog food and completely changed her entire diet and threw away everything I was feeding her. Recently, we started giving her the milk bones again and the other day she started the bathroom issues again. The past couple of nights she’s been so sick she can’t even hold it in all night like she used to, she wakes us up at 3am crying to go outside and do number 2. This morning she woke us up wanting to go outside and not only go number 2 but also when she went blood came out of her bottom, which is what was happening a year ago. I know this is from the milk bone because we don’t feed her anything other then her normal dog food now ( which works perfectly with her stomach) and these bones. On top of that we find messes in her cage from throughout the night that we end up cleaning every morning. I hope she starts feeling better soon 😢Sarah Williams

Adopted a black mouth cur from the shelter. Escape artist, separation anxiety to the maximum. First time I put the shirt on her, I left her in the car while I ran into the store (no, it wasn't hot out! and I wasn't long. but I'd be wondering the same, reading the above!) When I got back to the car, though, she had the thundershirt Off! And she was trying to escape from the slightly open window, yelping! I recently adopted 2 retired greyhounds and noticed my female would hide and pant before and during rainstorms. I bought these just a few weeks before July 4th since the firecrackers were already starting to explode in our neighborhood and my male grey refused to walk after hearing pops and getting spooked. I got 2 in XL: one in Camo with orange stripes and the sport in platinum which has a quilted weave and feels thicker so I could see if they had any preference since they both fit on either dog (they like them both). Just followed the directions for wrapping the shirts and it seemed to instantly calm my girl down to the point where she doesn’t want to take it off though eventually she lets me. I’m not sure it helps my male so much since it’s gotten so hot out that I won’t add an extra layer on them in this heat and cause them to have heat stroke but I put it on them during stormy weather and they both really like wearing the shirts which surprised me so I think he likes it too. My "little" guy has a life long issue with loud noises that began about eight years ago when he was eleven weeks old and we ventured out in between thunder showers with his mom and dad. Suddenly a stray lightning bolt hit missed us by only a few yards and the accompanying explosive noise terrified my three dogs and myself. The dogs went howling into the house and you can imagine the impact that experience had on a very young pup. I did everything I could think of to acclimate Yulee to sudden loud noises but nothing seemed to work as well as the ThunderShirt we purchased on the Amazon site. He's not as frightened of approaching thunder boomers as he is by gun fire or fireworks probably because he can gradually get into a more relaxed state with advancing storms. Now we also have time to prepare him for the thunder claps and we're relieved that he apparently finds the ThunderShirt comforting. He also likes to have time to curl up in secluded spot where he probably doesn't feel as exposed to any inherent danger – (see the third image). You can tell he's starting to feel threatened in the middle shot where his tail is tucked under his rear and the noise from today's thunderstorms is getting increasingly louder. The only reason the ThunderShirt didn't earn 5 stars from me is that at a svelte145 pounds Yulee was squeezed too much for our liking by the largest size (XXL) offered. We wrapped him in it without over tightening the material to make it uncomfortable while still affording him the gentle pressure and protective aspect of security. The fabric of the ThunderShirt Sport is a lightweight polyester which I felt might be lighter and more breathable than the other models with a poly, spandex and rayon blend. With all the fur this guy has he doesn't need any additional warmth. The shirt is extremely well constructed with ample velcro closure tabs which do a great job for getting the ultimate fit required…if only he was a bit smaller…Vic

This heavy duty cable is the best product I have been able to find to prevent my Great Pyrenees from escaping. I still have to buy about 3 per year because of the wear and tear he puts on it but it does work. The cable wears around the metal connectors and then breaks. I was on frontline for years but when I thought I saw a couple fleas on my dogs in September 2020, I decided to make a switch to Advantage II for my cats and Advantix II for my dogs— BIGGEST mistake of my life (seriously, like over any horrible exes). I have $515.97 in receipts I submitted to the company (which was as horrible as the experience, which I will get to) and spent an additional $70 in store (in which I cannot find the receipt) since September 2020 to December. I followed every tip on the website and insert and my animals were still covered. I applied perfectly. I applied initially weekly, vacuum daily, steam cleaned, wash bedding constantly, etc. I don’t even have carpet but on the stairs and have treated the stairs and couches with Predcor. I even bought those flea traps with the sticky bottoms. I am not including any of this in that total I spent– that was all on the flea medications themselves for the 6 animals. I have saved some, not all, of the vials so on 11/13 I called Elanco. They denied my request for any type of refund. They questioned my exact dosage dates and frequency more than a doctor wants to know about your menstrual cycles but I took my best guesses, for all 6 animals although I did know what schedule they were on but didn't have it in front of me. Then they said that the product was probably not working because I bathed my dogs initially at the beginning 48 hours before application?? Their website TELLS you to bathe them before application (see 2nd screenshot posted)! I stopped bathing them after the 2nd application as it wasn't working and the dogs were miserable and only tried 2 cats (and really only 1 successfully because we all know how that goes). They then told me that I didn't give the product long enough?? Their website states (see 3rd screenshot) and is the same for Advantage II "K9 Advantix® II kills fleas within 12 hours. New fleas that jump on the dog from the surroundings, such as grass, carpet and pet bedding, are killed within 2 hours with protection against further infestation for at least 4 weeks." I tried their products, $600 worth on 6 animals, as scheduled, no missed doses for 4 months. I can’t blame it on just one animal or one batch—it didn’t work on 6, or one batch! I am very upset. Not only have I wasted money on these but I have bought corresponding products, sprays for the beddings, flea traps, etc. I FINALLY called Terminex and had to spend 12 hours clearing out under my beds, closets, getting everything off my floors, moving furniture etc. (time I will never get back) and getting my children and pets out of the house and went back to the brand that works: FRONTLINE! NO MORE FLEAS– what I should have done in the first place. I am so upset not by the fact that the product didn't work but by the way the company handled it, dodging any responsibility from blaming it on the baths they recommend to the length of time I gave it when they could have just refunded me and had someone that isn't going to not only post this review every place I bought it (not just here) but every other place that allows a review to include social media.Intelhottie

We bought Advantix liquid application anti-flea and tick treatment because it is effective, was less expensive and did not require a prescription. We had easily and successfully used liquid Advantix for years with our Plott hound mix. We now have a beagle. Beagle hair is different; it's thick, coarse, oily, kind of water proof and difficult to part in order to properly apply the liquid to the skin. Advantix is a very good product, but pet owners may want to assess their pet's coat to determine how the liquid application could be applied.Gary

My dog was getting ticks so I purchased this. I have used it in the past with great success when it had the Bayer logo on it . The one I received has the Elanco brand logo on it. I used 1 bottle and It was like I used nothing at all. Mind you I walk my dog and when he comes in the house I would find 2 or 3 live ticks walking on him. So I figured ok maybe it didnt work or I didnt wait long enough. After about 10 days of this I applied another bottle and again nothing. He still kept coming in the house with ticks every time. So I'm not sure exactly what's going on but the package I received appeared to be authentic. All serial numbers matched and packages were sealed well. I have an 8 yr old Rottweiler I've had since 6 wks old . Granddaughter was moving needed to leave her 14 yr old dog here apparently had severe skin problems ..unknowing my dog has suffered with thisnow.. never having skin issues..I have been fighting this since last year trying a lot of different products..helped but did not get rid of it .. my dog was scratching non stop no matter what I was using and biting her fur ..then I found Renu Plex extra strength ..this spray is so affective and smells like candles ..easy to apply n rub in ..I had sprayed her after a bath all over n she finally got rest and slowly stopped the severe itching.. I needed to use this product for some time to appreciate its abilities. My dog likes to spend time outside rolling around and doing dog things. This leads to her coming into the house, tracking dirt and the pesky fleas. We've done well to mitigate it in the past, but PetArmor helped in the process. Within a few days, we noticed that she would not be scratchy when coming back into the house, then we didn't have to treat her bedding as much. Very nice! This went on for a few weeks, and eventually, there were no signs of fleas or scratching! It's been a great summer, and we look forward to a flea-free fall. In the past, I have given my dog oral medication to prevent flea and ticks. It worked well but I was never comfortable with the fact that he had to ingest the medicine. I decided we’d use a topical solution for this summer and this is working great so far. The application was easy and the the applicator worked well. I’ve had to apply a different brand on foster puppies in the past and sometimes, the liquid would just all flow right out during the first contact, leaving no medicine for the rest of the dog’s back. It wasn’t the case with PetArmor. I had good control to dispense the product with their applicator. My dog had no discomfort whatsoever on the application sites. The product didn’t leave his coat all oily or smelly. I love that you can scan a QR code in the box and the brand will send a text 30 days later as a reminder for when the next dose is due. Their formula contains Fipronil and (S)-methoprene like most expensive well-known brands but at a more affordable cost. Finally something that works consistently. After trying probably 10-15 brands of flea and tick stuff for my Dogs this is the company I come back to. Ive tried expensive stuff, Ive tried dirt cheap stuff. This works and works FAST. I actually have to put my dogs out if they have fleas on them at all. Within 30 minutes they are jumping off to get away and die. Weve had issues with super fleas here in northeast USA where the only thing Ive found to work is old fashion dawn dish soap and salt.Ive literally spread salt on all my floors so it looks like snow and left it sit over night then vacuum it up and then mop with dawn dish soap, everyday for over a week straight. This stuff not only took care of the fleas on the dogs and cats but the ones in the house would jump on the dogs would die to. Havent had an issue since.Corvet08

This Isis the best stuff ever. It helped out my German Shepard that was full of skin soars and now is all clear and has healthily skin and a beautiful coat now. She takes these everyday and loves the flavor. I would highly reccomend them for any dog that has allergies. They are a life saver. They work so well. I went thru so many dog foods and vitamins to find out that this vitamin works best for my dog and now I give it to all my dogs. It makes their coat shiny and another thing when my German Shepard sheds her hair she hardly sheds like she used to. These are bite sized little trainers for the dogs. I have two dogs and every time they come back from a walk with me I treat them to a macro milk bone so they don’t get too many calories but still get something tasty to let them know going outside is positive. They literally run to the cubboard where I keep them. Sometimes I play a game where I lay each color out and then pick the flavor they want. Right now due to work hours, it would be unfair for me to have a dog. Even with dog sitters and the like, I wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving a dog alone regularly. On a plus note, in a few years my schedule will change, and I’ll be adopting a dog. Also I’m lucky to live in a development with a lot of dogs. As for their humans owned by them, they are really nice, yet I remember dogs names easier than people! There are a whole bunch, different sizes and temperaments. Yet all like it when I give them Milk Bone Maro treats. They look like pigs in a blanket, but these are meat filled dog biscuits. DaVinci is a beyond huge Cane Corso. He gets several but is surprisingly gentle. Dakota the shepherd mix is feisty, so I don’t hand feed her. This is only with food thankfully, otherwise she’s a teddy bear. Rocco the poodle gets these often, as does Zippy the shaky and neurotic mini pincher. All of them are so much fun, also I so miss my buddy Zelda the Doberman. She passed away at close to 12 years, and was such a charmer. These are a good pick, and available everywhere.michael.r

I am finding Bravecto to be 100% effective at killing ticks before they suck blood, even before they attach. I know it's working because I'm brushing dead (flat) ticks out of my dogs' fur. When I used Frontline and Advantix I was constantly picking engorged ticks from my dogs. Maybe the ticks would have died EVENTUALLY, but they were having quite a ride in the meantime, and dogs were getting itchy, unpleasant wounds. They downside of Bravecto: Theoretically, if your dog has a bad reaction to it, you can't wash it off, like you could with the topical formulas. I have 3 dogs and none of them had any reaction at all, so I haven't faced that problem. We live in an area with lots of ticks and a very high incidence of Lyme disease, so I am willing to take the risk. So far so good!doghairstew

My cat has had repeated uti's involving emergency vet visits and a lot of stress. When the antibiotic wears off, the infection returns. I was at Petco on Sunday and saw this product and decided to buy it in case there was another infection. My cat had a crisis 2 days later with very extreme symptoms. I gave her 5 drops and noticed no change. So I did it again in 15 minutes and she began to calm down. Then she sat quietly for awhile and then went upstairs to sleep under my bed for the rest of the day. The next day she acted like nothing had happened. I was amazed! Time will tell if she will have more problems, but this is way better than dragging her crying to the vet, if I can even find a vet who will see her the same day. While I am not really one to normally write a review, I research other reviews diligently and thought it was time I started- especially to brag on this product and hopefully help someone else. Case: Mittens is a 3 year old female never with any previous UTI issues, Food: ate frisky crunchies and was happy, Fast forward to 2 months ago- she started with always being wet on her bottom. It kind of threw me off because I thought it could be a problem with her rear and not bladder, it progressed to constant going in litter box and barely having anything come out. Through this time 700. was spent at vet, ultrasounds, urinalysis' , lab testing, all showing nothing but antibiotics were administered as it was obvious something was wrong. The vet was insistent about stress thought I was skeptical as absolutely zero had changed in our household and buying the 50. food just was not an expense I was ready to do at that moment. The antibiotics has slight improvement but never fixed the issue. Mittens also has to be put under aneasthesia every time we go as she is very sweet, but not a good patient. During this time I was also an my witts end not wanting to put her thru another battery of testing and my house issue. In that I mean everywhere she went she would leave wet spots and a terrible smell which simply could not go on. So I went to do what you have done if you are here, online research and came across this product. I ordered it and went to bed as it was late and would be ready for pick up the next morning. I was hopeful and excited that this could be 'it'- a cure. So we picked it up and went to work. I followed dosing as directed for an acute condition as that is what we had. I had to administer via wet food because a syringe simply does not work with her. We did 10 drops every 15 minutes for the first hour and went on as directions said the whole time via food, 2nd day three times a day 10 drops each meal, and 3rd day back to initial dosing of 10 drops every 15 minutes for the first hour and 2 more times that day. I was not seeing the 'immediate result' some people had at that point. I will also say I was feeding her uti proplan wet food only during this time. We started Sunday morning and I did not notice relief until Tuesday evening- We were getting a stream of urine. I was so happy I could cry! Now we are at Thursday and we seem to be almost normal. Absoulutely AMAZING, have patience this stuff works! I am going to continue dosing twice a day and maybe even once a day for prevention going forward. I am also going to find some uti dry food, most likely Purina One uti to keep with prevention as that is my motivation going forward. Cannot be happier with the $6 price tag and the miracle inside. I got this after I noticed my kitty using her litter box repeatedly and licking herself constantly. I added it to her water yesterday and today and have been giving her the drops directly in her mouth. It’s easiest for me to hold the bottle in front of her until she starts biting on the nozzle… every few bites it gets deep enough to squeeze and spray… and viola! She almost seems to like it.
