My avid little mouser cat caught herself a little prize just a few days before a month-prior planned trip my husband and i were unavoidably about to go to. Apparently that mouse had bitten her back in the process, right on her tender little lip cleft! Before we knew it, that bite had gotten infected so bad she became lethargic, her face swollen an angry shade of red, she could not eat or even drink on her own and she could not even close her mouth and was drooling on herself. Because of the covid situation and proximity of timing to our trip to see family, there was no way to get her to a vet in time before we had to leave in 3-4 days. So we did the best we could with a dropper to feed and water her and rushed out to get Vetericyn to help stave off the infection which reduced the angry redness to a healthier pinkish. For the very few days we had before we had to go, I was keeping her hydrated and was spraying her face with the Vetericyn regularly (as directed) even as we headed out the door with one last treatment. We did cut our weekend trip short by a day out of concern for her, but when we came back she was doing significantly better in that the swelling was down, but was reddened again. Back to the spray treatment, make sure she got dropper-watered, and by that evening she was gingerly back to parking in her 'askance' spot hoping for bits of our chicken dinner! Using this for hot spots on my canine, this stuff does work but it sometimes can take up to 2 8oz. Bottles to heal the area's treated. Not sure if it's the strength of medicine or just those stubborn spots. I caught the spots early on and started treating them immediately and have been treating them for a month now and they are getting better but slowly, these things are stubborn. I can say that absolutely nothing else I tried worked. Believe it or not, I read online the other day that rubbing Pepto Bismol on hot spots actually works, you heard right, Pepto Bismol. My 7 week old tri color bully has vomited in his third day at our house, I googled and saw it said it’s normal for pups to do this sometimes, no worries. Two days later early morning(6:50am EST) he vomited then about 10 minutes later he pooped out about 8 long worms, found they were Roundworms. I immediately went to Meijer and grabbed two boxes of this 7 Way De-Wormer for Small Dogs and gave him a tablet which he happily chomped down. He passed loads of dead worms in each stool that day(like twice). The next morning his belly wasn’t bloated anymore but he wouldn’t eat much but drank water. By the evening he was felling great and back running through the house, he passed about 3-4 live worms in 2 of his 3 stools that day, the third stool had no worms! On the third day there were no more worms in his stool but I gave him the other tablet because I saw a very good vet recommend one deworming tablet day one, a second on day three then again in two weeks. It’s day 6 and he’s been worm free for going on 3 days! It says not to use til 12 weeks on the box, however if your pup is over 6 lbs then I think its okay to use. My little girl is a pit and catahoula mix and shes only about 7-8 weeks old and she handled the dewormer very well. She passed a HUGE tapeworm 🤢 we decided to deworm her due to tape worm segments being passed every so often which is absolutely gross. It took a little over 24 hours for her to pass everything. This is the single most effective and affordable dewormer for dogs. I will recommend this dewormer to everyone and use it for any puppies that I have in the future. These worked right away for my 12 pound 1 year old dog. It took overnight to see the results. I snuck it into a chewy treat before bedtime and he didn’t notice it at all since they are super small. After receiving only 1 of the 2 pills (give second pill 2-3 months later for lasting results), he didn’t have anymore worms coming out of his poop and randomly out of his butt. He was constipated for about two weeks to a month and I don’t know if it had anything to do with the worms or the pill but he’s never had that issue before. I love the product – your packaging – AGAIN – is HORRIBLE. I ordered two of these and one arrived opened and about ten left in the the bottom of the container. The other container was in tack! I contacted the manufacturer, who confirmed that the formula is the same as their cat joint relief product; the dosage and texture is just different between the two. So I buy this for my 2 cats and 1 dog to avoid having to buy two different products that are essentially the same thing. I crumble 1 treat into my senior cats' wet food each day and give 2 daily to my young dog for preventative purposes. Before starting on these, both of my cats had showed some natural decline in mobility, and one of them had torn his ACL tear when attempting a high jump. Ok, so I wanted to rate this product 5 stars but I can't. Does the product kill the fleas? Yes. If you are looking for a quick fix, this is your product. I saw results immediately. However, I did have to use another tablet to kill the fleas (which was suggested on the box). This box came with 6 tablets. First of all, NEVER diss the value of a vet check: your pet , cat or dog, has to be healthy enough for ANY correctly used flea remedies. Yes, vets need to stay in business and some of their prices are quite higher than some reputable online sellers offer. This product alone will not end your flea-festation if it is bad. Fleas spend only a tiny portion of their time on the animal- otherwise they're in your carpets, cracks, furniture, yards- but fleas do normally "dine" twice a day. Giving this oral pill once daily will START to deal with your problem, killing each flea that bites within 24 hours. Nitenpyram is used for both dogs and cats. * Once your cat is cleared for this medication, and weighs at least 3 pounds, it is cost saving to BREAK one 57mg( packaged for Dogs over 25 pounds) tablet into 4 quarters and use one of these quarters for a cat. The normal cat dosage is only 11mg/ the quarter is 14.25mg, not a substantial difference, in fact some vets sell this product this way- at $6-10 per quarter. You do the math. To truly "treat" a severe flea infestation will require your washing all pet bedding, treating carpets, floors, yards- each with diffetent products which each have very specific safety instructions for your pets and family and must be followed to the letter. i got these for my 85 lb dog. seems like it helps he doesnt itch as much after use. i see no fleas.i used the smaller sized dog 1 on my 10lb dog it worked too. you have to 30 day treat. i have 3 dogs and a cat all wear seresto collars but still got fleas somehow ,so since the collars allow to treat with topicals i used advantage plus on all 4. they still have fleas. im using these on top of all that and check my dogs weekly. keep coming up with 4 fleas on 1 dog and 8 on my cat. i dont understand why none of these products are working. the vet says fleas are immune. hows that possible?! id say if this doesnt seem to be working cause you see fleas it probably is but not killing the eggs so its repeat the process. plus do your house. rugs hardwood floors too. why the $80 topicalslhayes

Ok, so I wanted to rate this product 5 stars but I can't. Does the product kill the fleas? Yes. If you are looking for a quick fix, this is your product. I saw results immediately. However, I did have to use another tablet to kill the fleas (which was suggested on the box). This box came with 6 tablets. However, if you read the description on the product it says that results will not last more than 24 hours, meaning this is not a long term solution compared to NexGard. If you know for certain your dog is not going back to a flea area and this is just a quick fix, buy this. I would buy this for my cat since he's an indoor cat only. But I wouldn't use this for my dogs for long term use since I am always taking them to parks. So, if you''re looking for a quick fix, this is it. But I wouldn't waste your money if you're looking for a long term solution. I really wanted to like this. Maybe I will just by the NexGard after all. i just hate how expensive it is.TRios
First of all, NEVER diss the value of a vet check: your pet , cat or dog, has to be healthy enough for ANY correctly used flea remedies. Yes, vets need to stay in business and some of their prices are quite higher than some reputable online sellers offer. This product alone will not end your flea-festation if it is bad. Fleas spend only a tiny portion of their time on the animal- otherwise they're in your carpets, cracks, furniture, yards- but fleas do normally "dine" twice a day. Giving this oral pill once daily will START to deal with your problem, killing each flea that bites within 24 hours. Nitenpyram is used for both dogs and cats. * Once your cat is cleared for this medication, and weighs at least 3 pounds, it is cost saving to BREAK one 57mg( packaged for Dogs over 25 pounds) tablet into 4 quarters and use one of these quarters for a cat. The normal cat dosage is only 11mg/ the quarter is 14.25mg, not a substantial difference, in fact some vets sell this product this way- at $6-10 per quarter. You do the math. To truly "treat" a severe flea infestation will require your washing all pet bedding, treating carpets, floors, yards- each with diffetent products which each have very specific safety instructions for your pets and family and must be followed to the letter. These soft chews have worked miracles for us. Our inside dog used to constantly come in with fleas and no matter the treatment of baths, collars, dips, etc., nothing would bring her full relief. Love these kits. I have the small kit that I keep in my truck at all times and then a larger kit that I always have with me when on big hikes as well as in my off-grid camping trailer. With 3 dogs, all of which have health issues (and are magnets for trouble) this is a must. The only thing I wish was different was I wish these bags were insulated and a little bigger to leave space for meds that you may need/want to add for your specific pup. Nice kit to have when I take my dog on hikes with me. But…. discovered that the hydrogen peroxide packet leaked and ruined everything else in the kit. The leak proof bag kept everything inside safe from the elements but not from itself! Will replace some of the contents but not the peroxide. Very disappointing.Paul
I received this product a couple of weeks ago and it has came in handy for our camping gear. I have three adventurous dogs who love the outdoors. I have had to rig up bandages and gear for them but this is so much better. Each product in this kit is well thought out for what you may need for a camping or hiking trip with your dogs. I may not need all of it at once but it gives me peace of mind knowing that it is right there at the ready if I do need it. Each product seems durable which is necessary with these type of items. The bag also comes in handy to store everything and keep it in a safe place that is also easily accessible. It is pretty light and has handles which makes it nice for clipping on to my dogs hiking vest. I am also pleased with the first aid handbook because sometimes I am not sure what to do in certain instances. I really like this food for the dogs. It was a whole like 10lb bag which I was shocked about. Definitely didn’t expect that, I was thinking a 5lb bag or something. Thought I would try this brand due to it high reviews. The package arrived in tact, fully sealed. Even when mixed with majority of prior puppy food she would not even try eat it, simply seemed to try to single out pieces of former food mixed in and dumping on floor to do so. I tried mixing it with a bit of peanut butter to get her to eat it as peanut butter is her favorite treat. Still will not eat. The expiration date has several months to go. Not sure what is going on. 2 days of trying different ways to intoduce but she would appear to rather not eat than eat this even when her last meal had been smaller of her former brand. Our great dane was 17mos when we brought him home. Slightly under weight, stressed from changing from his first home to his forever home. He could only eat a few measured cups a day. This dog food is good for them, it is grain free and they have been eating it for many years. Chicken is the main ingredient and it comes in large bites, not small kibble to mess all over the house. Their dietary needs are met and the vet thinks of both our fur babies fit as a fiddle. It is easy to buy with Petflow and can be assured I will never run out. Beats running to the store, shopping for it (I am 70 ) picking it up to the counter, taking it down, picking up and putting in the car and finally getting from the car to the storage space where we keep it. Undecided. Really, the dog is, not me. It can be a slow (or painful) process to transition a Great Dane to a new food. I would not be reviewing so soon but for the "chance to win $1000" because, right now, she has diarrhea. We are very satisfied with Fromm's – we started with puppy and have graduated to adult small breed and have nothing but positive things to say. He's a short haired and his coat still feels like when he was a puppy which I solely attribute to the quality ingredients in Fromm's. Fromm's isn't the cheapest but PetFlow has great prices and ships free if we order in larger quantities so we usually just do 30lb at a time (although if PF included Fromm's in the auto ship discount program then we'd definitely do it!). On a per meal basis it's not too expensive and probably doesn't hurt that he's 14lbs and doesn't eat a ton. Also of note, my dog has never had an issue eating it after 4.5 years so he clearly still likes the taste.Hamish
We began using Fromms for large breeds dog food when we were switching from puppy food to dog food because our black lab, Kona, was having sever diarrhea every time she ate any food. We tried about a dozen other dog foods with no luck when my sister, who owns a Havenise that also experienced digestive issues recommended Fromms dog food. As soon as we switched to Fromms large breed dog food Kona's digestive issues went away. Not only did the food stop the diarrhea but Kona and Delilah, our chocolate lab, love the taste, not to mention every time we visit our vet she is amazed at how shiny our dogs coats are. One of my neighbors actually asked us if we put oil on our dogs coats because they are so shiny and beautiful. I have recommended this dog food to many dog owners who own dogs that are picker eaters or that have digestive issues and time and time again their dogs love this food and any digestive issues seem to go away. It's very distressing to find 3 happy engorged ticks on your dog 24 hours after treatment following all the requirements re: proper placement location on the dog, shaved the hair to make contact only on the skin, no water on the dog for 24 hours or at all after treatment. I was frankly, pretty shocked. This is an older small dog with arthritis. He is already in some pain and to find the ticks on him on top of this frankly really upset me. And they were not dead or dying. They were about to drop off likely after laying eggs on my dog. It used to work and now it does not–at all. I will require a refund.Dog Mom245
I breed Chihuahuas and I also foster cats/kittens. My Chihuahuas are litter box trained so they rarely get fleas because they dont spend a whole lot of time outside. Even when we go for walks, theyre in a dog stroller lol. Anyways… I fostered a litter of kittens that were found outside and covered in fleas. I gave them all dawn baths because they were too small for any flea medicine and my Chihuahuas ended up with fleas. I needed a product that was safe for pregnant/ nursing mama which frontline is. All my fellow breeders that I know also use this product on their dogs. Once I treated my dogs, I havent seen any fleas since!kala
Finally something that works consistently. After trying probably 10-15 brands of flea and tick stuff for my Dogs this is the company I come back to. Ive tried expensive stuff, Ive tried dirt cheap stuff. This works and works FAST. I actually have to put my dogs out if they have fleas on them at all. Within 30 minutes they are jumping off to get away and die. Weve had issues with super fleas here in northeast USA where the only thing Ive found to work is old fashion dawn dish soap and salt.Ive literally spread salt on all my floors so it looks like snow and left it sit over night then vacuum it up and then mop with dawn dish soap, everyday for over a week straight. This stuff not only took care of the fleas on the dogs and cats but the ones in the house would jump on the dogs would die to. Havent had an issue since.Corvet08
