Let’s just say he loves his balls! Anything round he will chase, doesn’t matter how big or small. But the best ones are the ones that can fit in his mouth, and these are perfect for him. None of the rubber balls ever break apart or are ripped by him despite him playing with it everyday. I’d say he is not a heavy/strong chewer, more on the light/weak side, which makes them last a long time. Why a 4 Star if you say he loves it so much?? That is because the squeakers in them are weak or perhaps I just got a defective one. Apparently, All the squeaks in the balls were working. Then once I gave to him one of the balls, 5min later the squeaker broke inside. A little disappointed that it's not as crackly as I'd have expected. I have played with far more crackly dog toys and this one you really have to press into to hear and feel it. I have a toy cavoodle and balls are her favourite. On top of that, she loves anything that squeeks or crackles. I was expecting this to become her new favourite but while she loves that it's bouncy and she can basically play fetch with it herself, the crackling part of it isn't that much of a factor. My 10 months old retriever was excited to receive her new toy as she likes a good tug and chase. Sadly, within 2-3 minutes shed already chewed the soft handle to bits. I had to trow out the handle… the ball and rope lasted a couple of weeks. I bought this a day ago. Loaded it with treats and watched my little pup walk it through the living room. Watched little trails of red plastic litter the floor within the first five minutes. My dogs LOVE this more than any kong toy. They just need to update it to be a sturdy material like the other kong items. It lasted 2-3 months but eventually the dogs tore it to shreds. Literally shreds. I would still re buy it though due to how many hours use we got out of it. But I would rather spend a little more for a better version of this that is just not as prone to being torn up (as other reviewers mentioned and posted pics of, this is eventually what happened to ours, too). I filled with some dog food mixed with some soft training sized treats to really get their attention. Wouldn’t put peanut butter or anything like that in this. Would use it more as a feeder toy with dry or soft treats or food. Not wet though as the hole would be too small for the dogs to be able to get anything like that out. The weighted feeder ball is a great, indestructible similar option to this if you’re needing something to keep them busy for a longer period, it doesn’t break or get torn up, and can be used to feed a full meal as capacity is much bigger. With almost every king toy I always buy up 2 sizes. There’s a lot of reasons but especially due to the smaller ones being easily torn apart. My dogs just prefer the bigger ones anyway. PLEASE NOTE: it’s important to always remove any toys, feeders, bones, or bowls of food if the pup isn’t currently eating, or playing with the item. They’ll learn bad behavior like grazing, guarding, etc. and it can make it very hard for owners to notice when pets are unwell. (Google for more info). This arrived on Friday and by Friday night after my 7 month old Jack Russell Puppy had used it one with kibble in it, it was unsafe. I was needing replacement "tennis balls" (And I put that term in quotation marks because the size of the tennis ball type balls that I needed are not the usual size of regular/usual tennis balls) for my generic branded iFetch like/type automatic ball launcher/thrower. The replacement tennis balls that I needed needed to be small enough to be able to automatically feed through the automatic ball thrower, which these ones do, so they fit the bill. My dog absolutely LOVES his automatic tennis ball thrower/launcher! And the squeak that these smaller sized tennis balls have in them is just a bonus for my four-legged kiddo. With that being said however, I have a 20# dog and I do not leave him alone, unsupervised with these Kong X-Small Sized Squeak Tennis Balls as they are way too small for him to play with them alone, unsupervised as they would be a choking hazard for him, or for any other dog weighing more than 15#s. And because i purchased these X-Small sized tennis balls for a very particular need, and since they are a choking hazard for my dog to have alone, unsupervised, the amount that I actually am using these tennis balls is very limited so I cannot comment as to the durability of them. However at the price that I purchased these for, they cannot be beat, even if they turn out to not even be that durable!MDunn815

My German Shepherd x Malinois LOVES these balls the most. I bought several different styles to trial with her, as she is very fussy when it comes to her toys. She doesn't like the Kong frisbees which are too heavy and don't give her time to fly into the air to catch them – they plop to the ground too quickly, unlike our plastic ones which are brilliant at flying, but wear out more quickly – can't win! But the Kong balls on the other hand, we find are terrific. This is my third time buying these, only because we lost one and she won't let go of the one I bought her last week, so I am hoping that with another one, she'll learn to let go and stop being such a ball hog. She has baby Velociraptor teeth, so her will usually destroy all toys over time (some quicker than others) even though she's not a destructive dog by nature – just in terms of general wear-and-tear from chewing and play, but these balls for some reason, do last (the squeaker in them doesn't though – it's dead in a day, thank goodness, as it does drive me nuts when she's biting on it all day long and it's squeaking the heck out of the house – so that's actually a plus for her human hahaha). I think depending on the dog, you'll find different reviews, but this product is definitely a winner in our household at least and though a bit pricey for what it is, it's still the better option compared to others we've trialed.Jo
This toy is the BEST THING EVER. I didn’t know it squeaked until after we started playing with it and OH BOY we have had loads of fun with it ever since. My dogs love this ball so much that I’m getting another one because they constantly fight over it! It’s a great ball for fetch as well as a great chew toy. I’ve had it for quite a few months now and it’s still in REALLY GOOD condition. I don’t usually write reviews but this product is 10/10. My only complaint is that my arm hurts from throwing it so much!estefany .z
I bought one of these (in a size large, not sure if the sizing has anything to do with the issue) about 4 months ago and it has lasted really really well! The only reason I decided to replace it was because for some reason the squeaker stopped working. I think my dog may have punctured a hole in it or something. That being said, I didn't have any issues that these other negative reviews have said happened to them and my dog destroys EVERYTHING. He gets his little mouth on a seam or a defect or anything like that and he goes to town until it is in pieces in minutes. So, like I said the large ball lasted 4 months.. but I just bought him an XL ball and received it today. It's been… about 4 hours now and he has almost completely torn the middle out of the ball! I think this must be a manufacturing issue more than anything because our other ball has treated us well. I hope this problem gets fixed, because I really LOVE this ball!Jenni0126
