I cannot rave about this brush ENOUGH! I have a Pug, so as any pug owner can tell you, THEY SHED, and they shed like a big dog would. This brush is incredible for any short haired doggy. When you use it, brush in a circular motion and you can just watch all the loose hairs come up. I was shocked the first time I used this because the amount of hair that it picks up and takes off is nuts. I had been using a regular brush at first for short haired dogs, now I combine the two. I start off with this to loosen the hair, and follow with the regular brush to pick up anything that comes off. This is a miracle brush. OK, I have been humbled. I see you did post my review I wrote last week, where I gave this item only two stars. Well, my dog kept bringing it to me, so I did put in some snacks. They did have to be bigger, so they wouldn't fall out of the big hole all at once. My dog had so much fun with the holder and we use this every morning at 10:30, which is her "treat" time. If you have a small breed, this is the Kong to get. It is a little softer than the regular Kong, so it makes it easier for a small breed to get to the yummies. We have a 12 lb. chihuahua mix and she would give up with the red Kong but this one keeps her occupied – frozen apple with some peanut butter or frozen green beans with a little peanut butter – a "pupsicle" that keeps her occupied doing a natural dog behavior.Walktadawg

This is my 3rd Kong ball. My dog Loves the Medium/Large size. Unfortunately, the way they have the sizing, they have medium/large and large/extra large. The lg/extra lg is a bit too big for my 35 lb dog and I ordered it by accident seeing only the word “large.” Once Petco accepts returns in store again, I will be taking it back. I’ve purchased the med/lg size now as well as purchasing one for a friend. Took away one star for that confusing sizing. Easy to see when you’re in the store but when ordering online, too easy to make a mistake that can’t be easily returned.TBDarren

I bought this to replace a medium version that had been completely trashed. Unfortunately this hasn’t been as robust as I had hoped. The squeak broke almost immediately, followed by the disc where it is located. I only allow ‘supervised’ use, but it was done and dusted within about half an hour’s playtime (2 x 15 minute sessions). She hasn’t managed to remove the tennis ball yet, so we are still enjoying it and I do believe there is a limit to what I can expect given my dog’s size/breed. Just unboxed this and for Maverick 2yr old whippet, it was love at first squeak. Hasn't made it outside yet and he has worn him self out (yippee). He loves it, but hes now sleeping to recover😆 Would definitely recommend, but only comment would be that I won't be leaving it with him outside, as I think with some intense unsupervised chewing it might have a short life. Really quick delivery and looks great, a lot smaller than I imagined I bought a medium/large and it was just a bit bigger than my hand but it was too small to play with my dog with it she kept accidentally biting my fingers! She loved carrying it round and was her favourite toy for little bit, however she promptly chewed it to pieces within 4hours which I was very disappointed with as it was more expensive than other toys and needed something she wouldnt destroy. I bought it because she cant chew through her kong extreme so its not as durable as the other kong toys as it makes out, if youre looking for a durable toy for a dog that likes to chew I wouldnt recommend it for other dogs its a good toy.cjoh8519

I was a little weary ordering this bc some of the reviews said their dog chewed though it easy, but unless their dogs are like part shark and robot—-bc my dog is a big time on purpose destroyer of all toys and big time chewer, she destroyed all her stuff within 24 hours. Next day I went and bought this and she cant even put a dent in it, this toy is pretty tough! Im very pleased with its durability! I do think adding a treat in it makes it more "fun" for the dog, but even without we play fetch with it and she likes it. I recommend.ARoemisch

I bought this toy a few years ago in store at Petco for my 50lb hound/pit mix, she's 5 now, and this has been her favorite toy by a long shot. I actually came on here to look at buying her a second one because she loses it on occasion, usually under furniture or down along the side of my bed, but once I find it for her, she's absolutely ecstatic and will run around in circles barking with joy to have it back. I don't even have to put anything in it, she just loves it as is, though I will on occasion put the kong sweet potato stuff'n in it if she's bored enough. It's also worth noting that she tends to chew straight through almost any toys I get her, but has only ever destroyed one kong toy and it was only because my 75lb husky has broken it first, so whenever I'm looking for new toys for her I go straight to the kong section.Kimiix

The Wubba is my husky/German shepherd’s favorite toy but he destroys them in about 2 days. We only get them as a special treat for him and have to throw it away after all of the stitching is ripped out and squeaker is punctured! Not very durable, but he loves it.Lydia Joy

I have a very powerful chewer who loves stuffed animals. I feel bad not giving them to her, because its her favorite thing, but I also know it is harmful to her physically if she swallows fluff, etc. I found this kong toy, with low expectations. Thinking it would only last a day or maybe two if we were lucky. I got this toy for her when she was only 9 weeks old….. She's 8 months old now and this bubba toy has minimal fraying!!! I literally can't even believe the durability!! It has lasting through puppy teeth and everyday play. Its a "stuffed" animal I feel safe allowing her to have all the time. This is the second of these that I've purchased because my pup loves them. She goes nuts for the squeaker and tends to really like soft toys. The first one (the bunny) didn't last long (as in, holes in the first 10 minutes), but she had all sharp little puppy teeth then. Now that she's got mostly adult teeth, it seems to withstand longer; it's been a week since purchase #2 (the bear) and no holes at all. At least when the first one went, we were able to pull out the squeaky ball in the middle, and that's become her favorite ball to play with too, so it felt like a 2 for 1 purchase.Shleepy

You needed a bigger size. Generally, I would recommend sizing up once or twice anyway. The smaller ones are too small and not as thick of material therefore easier for any size dog to tear up. Additionally, if the toy isn’t full of snacks, take it away. Don’t let them chew on the toy itself just as a chew toy. That is another reason why the toy may get damaged. If the dog is focused on getting the snack out, they’ll be much less focused on destructive behaviors and tearing things apart. If you have a puppy, remember they teethe and it HURTS. They self sooth by chewing. Give them things it’s okay to chew on/destroy like Nyla bones (which seriously last forever even in strong determined breeds). Last thing to mention, is that if you really want to go with indestructible, prefer something that’ll keep them busy for a lot longer periods of time, then get the weighted feeder kong balls. I put some dog food into ours along with some soft small very strong smelling treats and my dogs work on this for HOURS. It’s how they get their meals or at least part of their meal each day. You can fed the whole meal this way if you want. They come in different sizes but the biggest size has worked perfectly for all of my dogs (weights range from 35 to 150lbs). They knock it over and the snack or treat falls out of a little hole. Then they keep working on it little by little, it’s really a great option for keeping them distracted! Just be sure to take it away when they’re not using it anymore so they don’t learn to guard it. This is true with any toy, treat, bone, or food. Offer a few times a day then take away when they’re no longer interested. Free feeding is one of the worst habits to start and makes it difficult for owners to tell quickly when something is off with their pet. I learned this the hard way! (Google this if you don’t believe me) I would still consider these Kong balls to be indestructible IF you use them properly. I have huge, strong dogs, a sharp toothed and very busy heeler and both have had theirs for 4 years without incident and not even a puncture mark into either one. I filled with “mini” milk bones and broken in half “small” milk bones but just read another reviewer said they freeze theirs with pnut butter and treats inside. Amazing! Amazing at entertainment for my dog. Love how we can stick big treats in there and keep him busy whenever we have to leave the house. I think it's a must for training your dog. Be sure to replace it whenever there is damage. As I know a friend's dog had a piece of Kong stuck in his intestine and had to get surgery to remove it. So best to keep the toy until you notice any wear or tear. I like how it has multiple sizes and has really good durability.. this is a really good investment for your dog! We have found many creative ways to entertain our husky/German shep/malamute mutt who has high energy and high affinity to treats. 10/10 would recommend. There's also some Kong specific treats you can find meant to fit into the toy to make it very difficult for the dog to remove it. We like that there is a lot of creative ways to use it. We had two on rotation for when our puppy was teething and needed a lot of attention. Frozen treats allowed for the pup to work on the kong. We use it at home mainly but we do bring it over to our friends house when our dog is staying the night because we are out of town. It's just another tool they can use if they find he needs to calm down and focus instead of rambunctious and playing.terri.n

This is the old classic rubber Kong dog toy. I have the regular size and the small size for my boxer and for my Boston terrier. Its shape causes it to bounce in random directions. My dog absolutely loves this toy. I've put everything in that thing. I have broken up some single ingredient treats and stuffed them in Kong. We refer to my dogs as having ADHD, or a very SHORT attention span, but not with this toy they absolutely love it!! . I put treats as well as peanut butter bananas or yogurt then put them in the freezer. The freezing slows down their ability to clean out the inside quickly so the game lasts a little longer. The rubber is hard enough so they cannot chew through it yet soft on their teeth and gums. The hole is large enough to easily fill the inside as well as wash out the inside after use. Definitely buy multiples so that there are some in the freezer ready to go on those hot days or on those days that you just need a little time to get something done while your dog is occupied. All in all I completely recommend these toys for all dogs of any shape and size.Ysabel

My review is for the XLarge KONG Wubba – NOT the small. MY dogs are nuts about KONG Wubba's. A couple of generations of Scotties have now had these toys – I've tried XL/L/M – prefer the XL. Scottish Terriers have extremely powerful jaws and set upon these toys with just one thing in mind – KILL IT!!! They relish in shaking the toy and are further encouraged in their endeavours as the "tails" of the toy make a flappity-flap sound. I do not allow the dogs to play with their Wubba's for long – as they truly do kill them. So I rescue the Wubba's and place them in a toy box that is hidden in a closet. Each night after we Pet Parents have had dinner, I remove the toy box and the "boys" may select a toy of choice, Well, if there are Wubba's in that box – that is the #1 in choice. When the dogs have finally "killed" the toys; they still play even though the squeaker has died – usually the first thing that goes. The fabric is durable and there are no parts that can be ingested by a pet. The best part is when I pony up for a new pair of Wubba's and laugh madly as the "boys" set upon them yet again. Each one wants the others Wubba, and they are almost delirious with joy. If you need a good laugh, invest in a Wubba and watch your pet darn knock itself out – it is worth the $$'s – trust me. I was so excited to see Kong had made a soft chew toy! I have probably bought about every single toy besides the two i bought today to add to their collection. Every kong I bought has incredible longevity. this toy he was the most excited about, he loves squeaky soft toys but literally runs through them in 2 minutes. and since it was made from kong, i had total confidence in the durability. boy was i wrong, i gave it to him 10 minutes ago and there’s already a hole in the top. Ball is made of a very durable and hard rubber. The one I bought is bigger than a tennis ball, but my 65lb goldador-newfie pup can hold it in her mouth easily. She enjoys playing fetch with it or catching it when it bounces high in the air. I also like that there is a rather big hole on the side that I use to throw the ball to avoid all the drool or whatever nastiness is on the ground of the dog park. Because it is hard rubber it gets a lot of bounce. I also like to fling it against a concrete wall and it just bounces all over the place. Env: development I have two dogs that love all things ball shaped – tennis balls, soccer balls, basketballs, etc. The only problem with their ball obsession is that they destroy them. Sometimes in minutes. Tennis balls are cheap enough to replace, but they can wear on their teeth and cause damage. Other balls pose a choking or obstruction hazard because the dogs will tear them into pieces and potentially swallow them. I started to feel like I was running out of safe options to satisfy their obsession and then I discovered the Kong Ball. I picked one up for the dogs one day when I saw them at the local feed store. It was a little pricey, but I figured, if it was as durable as it claimed, it'd pay off in the long run. And it has. It's been 8 months, and while the ball shows a little wear and tear, it's still in one piece, and the dogs have great fun with it. The only con is that it's not very bouncy, and it's a little too heavy for playing fetch with, but if you roll it for them to chase that seems to satisfy them. Definitely worth the money! I ordered these for my rescue pup for when we leave the house. They're great! She is very attached to me so giving her one of these kongs with peanut butter in her kennel right before we leave works perfectly! They material is very durable! Kong dog toys make great dog chews with added fun! Some dogs love to chew and will chew things just for something to do and having a kong toy on hand to occupy them is a good idea. You can add peanut butter inside the Kong and it will keep them busy trying to get the treat out of it. It provides hours of fun and the dogs don't ever get sick of playing with it and chewing on it. They are made of super durable rubber. They are pretty close to indestructible. They withstand hours and hours of rough play without falling apart and puppies sharp teeth are no match for Kong. I know with my dogs they love anything new they get for a little while and then they kind of get sick of it and stop playing with it. She has destroyed many a door and window from her incessant chewing and most toys hold no interest with her but even she loves Kong toys. I don't know about the breath freshening but I can say that the kongs must clean there teeth because of the rubber dragging across the teeth so much as they chew and lick. Its a long lasting toy that will definitely provide lots of fun. They are available at most pet care supply stores. They are a bit expensive, but it's worth it for how long lasting they are. They are a much safer alternative to rawhides or bones. No worry about them choking or swallowing none splinters. Check the Kong for damages before use and it's pretty safe. I think most dogs will love it and it should clean the teeth if they chew on it. I would recommend it to dogs who are energetic or dogs who love to chew. The Kong Bounzer is completely different than the original Kong that you fill with treats or the squeeze flavor stuff. It is shaped similarly, but they serve completely different purposes. The Bounzer comes in medium, large, and extra-large. My dog is about 15 lbs and the medium is about as big as he can handle. This is almost like a ball that's shaped like a giant Kong with a handle on top. It's hollow and made of a thick rubber. It has a teeny tiny hole on the bottom that allows air in and out when you squeeze it, like a squeaker toy, but doesn't make any sound other than air being pushed out. It bounces incredibly high with little control, so you have to be careful on the house, but my dog is absolutely obsessed. My dog destroys toys, like pulls stuffing out in minutes and loves to strip tennis balls of their felt covering, but he has not destroyed this toy. I gave the xl bounzer to my 19 month old English Staffy at 6.00pm so I could watch the News in peace. By 6.07 pm she had chewed the first hole and by 6.14 the hole was big enough for her to put her head in it. We got this for our dog when he was a puppy because he is a chewer. He still likes to chew on toys and he is 2 year old rottie. We also have a boxer-rottie who likes to fight with the other dog over this toy. It is durable for big dogs and can really tug at it without breaking it. I believe there is also a black kong which is more durable. This is also good to put treats and peanut butter in to distract the dogs for awhile. Overall great product! My dog loves this toy at the beach as we can throw it so far into the ocean using the rope. He also has the best time playing tug with it although the rope has started to fray after one use (assuming it's not designed for tug so still a five star product in my opinion) He actually played with it when one of his friends at the beach brought it and he's been obsessed ever since so we had to get him his own! I bought this toy for our dogs that like small toys. We have a yorkie mix and maltipoo, both less than 10lbs and not an aggressive chewer. This toy is very small and I knew it when I ordered 2pcs. I was pretty excited to give it to them but when it came… it looks nothing like the pictures on the website. I have a small Pomeranian who loves toys but we have a tough time finding ones small enough for her to comfortably carry around. This toy is perfect. It is small, the squeaker inside is removeable and it comes with a spare squeaker, just in case. The toy itself looks different from this picture, but my pup loves it so who cares! I am a toy schnauzer breeder. I always order a sample of different toys for my dogs and puppies to try out. Then I put favorites into bags of gifts that I give to my new families. When I first opened the box and looked at the small duck I just sat it back down and said that was a waist of money, glad I didn't buy 10. I have a lab who is rather gentle with his toys I’d say-rarely does he rip a hole or tear any apart. However within 10 minutes of him having this one, he managed to rip off one of the tail bits & nearly swallow it. Thankfully I was nearby & heard the ripping noise & managed to get it before him. I simply cut off the remaining tail ends before giving it back. He now chews on it regularly & it’s held up just fine. Overall knowing how easily the tail pieces can come off, I wouldn’t recommend. When i first bought this my Golden Retriever was about 3-5 months and he was chewing on everything as well as teething. Most of his toys would eventually rip and all the stuffing would come out. I bought this toy hoping it would last and it did! It’s the only toy right now where the stuffing hasn’t exploded everywhere!! Purchased this super cute giraffe for my puppy in April. Really disappointed in it, even though the dog likes it. First time playing with it, ears, horns and tail were gone. Next went the black binding, leaving holes for stuffing to be pulled out (red fabric is not sewn together under the black binding).
