We were using another version of natures miracle but the odor was just too strong for me to tolerate. And it would last for days. That wasn’t an issue much in the past as our last chihuahuas were well house trained and only had issues with kidney stones, or aging. But now we adopted a chi mix who has to be tranquilizer to be inside his cage AND at 3 is not house trained AND he’s petrified to go outside. We finding this was a real blessing. IF you follow the directions you will never have a stain. As with all enzymatic type urine removers, the odor is sometimes worse than the urine odor. This does have an odor BUT it’s SO much more tolerable, as I have trouble with odors. Of course because you must get all the way down to the floor, we saturate our carpeting as instructed, and find the odor will linger for 2-4 days. Bought these to put under my 17year old dog to keep jer dry amd comfortable in her final weeks. She could no longer stand or walk but the vet said if I brought her in to assess for euthanization I would have to just hand her to them in the parking lot and they would take her in the office (due to covid). Great size. I have a 13 year old chihuahua rescue dog that had never been outside in 10 years. I use these pads for her and for a puppy that was also a rescue. Now I definitely did not use this product as originally intended. I don't have a Hoover wet vacuum or carpet cleaning vacuum of any kind. I simply diluted to the strength recommended on the bottle of 3oz of cleaner per one gallon of water in a sprayer, pre-treated the area and let it set for about 10 minutes. Came back with a stiff brush and worked the cleaner into several spots that had been pretreated and blotted it up with a cotton towel. OMG I could not believe it. One year old stains that have had nearly every carpet cleaning product applied to it over the year came up with ease. I was truly amazed. These pads really lock in the moisture! I have tried many brands of pet pads and they are NOT all made the same. Some are very low quality so that unless the urine is directly in the middle of the pad, it leaks everywhere. That wasn't the case with the Hartz Home Protection pads. They did a FANTASTIC job locking in wetness and not leaking. We use these for both our dog and our cats' litter boxes. We have a female cat that does not like to "squat" in the cat box like a normal female cat! She sometimes misses the box which can cause a HUGE mess! These pads are wonderful for that, too! No wet floor, no cleaning, no odor! The urine has NEVER spilled off the sides of the pad which is a problem we have had in the past with other brands. Tried the Hartz Home Protection Odor Eliminating XL Pads and have to safe that I wasn't impressed. These pads did not do a good job of absorbing the urine. My dog stepped in the wet spot a few minutes after urinating and tracked urine paws prints all over the house. Our 8 week old puppy took to this immediately. We live in a condo so we needed a solution to let our puppy ***** safely before she's fully vaccinated. There's no "Safe space" outside where we can take her that other dogs wouldn't have gone already. I had no idea if it would be hard initially to get her used to it, but we plopped her down on it as soon as we brought her home and she went *** right away. I cleaned the carpet in my living room. I have two 10 pound dogs, one or both sometimes use this rug as a backyard green lawn, in the middle of the night. Yes, I have tried the blue doggie pads. Because I have allergys i was very careful to buy the upholstery cleaner that didnt have febreeze in it. I bought a shampooer and a pet oder product and shampood my couch and love seat. I cant sit in my living room at all. I have constricted breathing,am coughing and need a puffer. After my couches were dry i then tried dusting with baking soda to remove the odor. That didnt work. Then i tried misting with white vinegar. Twice misted with vinegar it took a small margin of smell away. I have even tried putting just the cushions outside to air out. Still smell. I cant even sit in the room long enough to drink a coffee. There doesnt seem to be a way to smell a product before buying. Iif we are starting to ban car hanging deodorizers and plug ins, why dont manufacturors at least let their be warnings on products for fragrances. This is a terrible product for people with asmtha and allergies. I havent needed a puffer for over ten years until i bought this shampoo.
This formula surprised us. Too often formulas scent afterwards are either too strong or has a chemical smell that lingers until the carpet is completely dry. The Pet Pro Oxy Urine with Febreze does not exhibit any of the strong scent; just a nice refreshing smell. When used with the Big Green the Pet Pro Oxy removed old and new protein stains. My carpets look great, clean and bright. The Urine formula is ok, probably better off with the Enzyme or Bacteria one to completely remove.

Bought this product the next day after bringing my 8 week old puppy home. I was clueless on how to potty train using potty pads. I attempted to potty train the first day, but it just wasn’t happening. The second day, I went out to purchase this spray to give it a try. I sprayed the potty pad focusing more towards the center of the pad and sure enough the next time my pup needed to potty, he went straight to the pad. 1 week later, he still has his occasional accidents however they are right next to the pad. Let me start by saying I don't have a ton of experience with pee pads so I don't have a lot to compare to. I've used basic ones without much success and then upgraded to the Freshpatch with a ton of success. Something about real grass did it for my pup. I thought the idea behind this was pretty clever but it’s actual functionality was just meh for us. The dogs were initially afraid of the hydrant! After a few days, they walked up to it but never lifted their leg to actually pee on it. They ended up squatting and just peeing on the pad. In actuality, it’s a good thing they won’t pee on the hydrant because I don’t want them to learn that they can mark other items in the house. The regular pee pads are for indoors and we WANT and have trained them to squat. Whilst outdoors, they can mark a tree or bush.
