Edgy Veggie Dog Toy For Sale (2024 Update)

This is my dog’s all time favorite toy. Out of his large toy box, he will always go for his broccoli. It’s become his emotional support toy, and has survived cross country road trips, airplane cabins, rain and snow, and the general chaos of a 2 year old lab mix playing with it almost daily for a year. For as much as my dog loves this toy and for how well it has stood up to his berating, I felt inclined to leave this review. 10/10 !Mary

If this toy can survive a maligator, I think it can survive just about any dog. Winston has had his broccoli for about 3 months now and he loves it so much. He usually destroys any soft toys within a few days. The squeaker was busted pretty quickly (he loves those) but the outside has stayed incredibly intact. We haven’t had to sew it up or anything. I’ve purchased him a few backups because he enjoys it so much!!! Highly recommend!SueBee

I was scared to give my puppy a plush toy in fear he would tear it to shreds. He was 10 weeks when we gave him this and it was our saving grace! He didn’t like any other toys except stuffed ones. I love the smaller branch of broccoli because it gives him something to hold onto for tug of war. He will actually fetch this toy! It’s held up great, a few threads coming off but this is literally his only plush toy as of yet so I’m not surprised and I would buy another Bark brand toy because of the durability. My 16 week old puppy loves this toy. However, after only a few days of playing with it, chunks of the green part starting coming off. Swallowable sized chunks. I'm disappointed in the durability of this toy. On the upside, it makes a much quieter sound than most squeaky toys so it was ideal for car rides.CJovanovic

This is the first puzzle toy I have purchased for my 7 year old dachshund. She is a chow hound and I wanted to make treats and food a more rewarding experience for her. The first time we used this it took her maybe 5 minutes to use, just clocked her on our third use and she has figured it out in about three minutes. As far as the toys features I like that the red capsules lids snap off easily so they aren't just broken when little Winnie decides she wants to pull them off with emphasis. This might give a larger dog a harder time. Her little nose is very efficient at getting in there and flipping up the hidden compartments. A nice experiment but I'll probably try to resell it and upgrade her to something more complicated.Mongrel

My greyhound loved this!! She's clearly smarter than I gave her credit for, she worked it out quite quickly but working it out and physically completing it are two different things, so it still kept her occupied for maybe 10 minutes. Her nose was working in overdrive! I love the number of different compartments as it means there's opportunity to have so many different types of treats to keep them guessing / working for it (I used kibble, liver, training treats and a broken up schmackos all in different compartments). Mia is a 2 1/2 yr old Peke. She's a funny kind of dog! She doesn't always like things right away. This? She LEFT the fresh bits of turkey from under the plastic bones and grabbed those to play with. She didn't know exactly what she was to do with this! LOL She came back and played around w/it but would NOT eat the treats under the pieces. LOL I let it go a day and about 2 days later LOL she got the drift! NOW BARKS LOUDLY when she sees it up on top of the counter, as if to say "MOMMY THAT'S MINE! I know what to do with it! My dog loves this toy! She carries it around and loves to chew the very end of it. We saw one at the local indoor dog park and it lasted for weeks even with lots of super chewers there. I'm really impressed with it and hope that we can continue to find this brand in the future.lianna.b

I've got a big chewer who used to loved water bottles when she was a puppy but doesn't take them anymore. I didn't expect this to last long, and it didn't, but she immediately loved it and loved the crunchiness while it lasted. Even when it did come apart and has lost some pieces, she loves this rubber over the tougher rubber toys of the most durable brand (you know who!).bestpossible

Our 7 month old Golden Retriever loved it for 10 minutes. Had to throw it away because there were orange plastic pieces all over the ground.AmyG

I bought the small toppls and my two cavaliers love them. I've used it at dinner time with soft foods and some chopped up pieces of prime100 and it kept them busy for a good 7-ish minutes (which is much longer than the few seconds it usually takes them to practically inhale their food). I love that it can be used with kibble as well as a treat dispenser (although you need to buy two different sized ones to do this). Overall very impressed, but I would recommend waiting until they're on sale to buy.smp

These are amazing. We're in the process of diagnosing some GI issues with our 8 month puppy, and she's on a very limited diet and can't have any treats, chews or bones. It's a terrible age to not be able to give anything but prescription food. She can't be trusted with soft toys or rope toys, and has no interest in kongs or other rubber things. These are perfect for keeping her busy. We pack her kibble and some wet food in them and freeze them. They take her a good 30 minutes or more to finish, and she has yet to damage one. Plus, they're super easy to clean. I just throw them in the dishwasher!Michelle

This is awesome for feeding frozen raw! My lab just loves to work at getting her frozen dinner out and it takes her ages to eat. (In a normal bowl, it would be hoovered up within seconds). Easily takes up to 130g raw.pages_unread

Got this toy on a whim from the store and my guy (40lb all-around-mutt) loves it! I filled it with dry treats that are a good size that wouldn't fall right out and he had the BEST time trying to work it out. He shook, tossed, chewed, and flung this toy all around the living room and it kept him busy for at least 20 minutes. Not the longest compared to others I'm sure, but a world record in this house! My dog loves puzzle toys and loves to work for it, so your dog will have to be like that as well. I can see my parent's dog not enjoying this since there would be no immediate rewards and I think my sister's dog (a BIG chewer) might not get as much fun out of it since she might rip it to bits. It is durable, but not THAT durable for the determined pup. I did notice him get his lower jaw stuck in the top for a split second, but the toy is easy to bend so he was able to pop it right out on his own (it's always good to supervise your dog's playtime!) If you have a dog that enjoys the struggle of a puzzle toy, I would definitely check this one out!Katelyn O.

Let me start off by saying my partner and I LOVE West Paw! Great company with a great mission and amazing sustainability practices. We love the Toppl and wanted to love the Rumbl, but unfortunately on the very first use(we purchased size small), it got stuck on the bottom jaw of our 16 pound King Charles Cavalier. If you have a small to medium size dog with a small, narrow jaw, then I would not recommend this toy. The tabs in the top of the mouth got stuck to his little teeth and hurt him a bit to get off. We will unfortunately be returning this one and opting for another puzzle toy for feeding. Luckily, West Paw has a great guarantee policy so we will continue to be customers for life! We would love to see a smaller version of the Rumbl for toy sized dogs!Kayla

My dog is very smart and has food allergies so finding treat dispensing toys that make it tough to get to snacks is ideal. This one the hole is too big to have it be a challenge. We bought the small. I have a 2 yr old German Shepherd, he loves to play ball. He likes balls he can chew (like bubble gum) but doesn’t tear them up. This is his favorite by far. The weight and structure allow me to throw it far and he loves to run and fetch it. It’s also soft enough that he can catch high flies without hurting his mouth. I bought 2 of them in case we lose one or it eventually does tear up. Again, by far this is his favorite ball.Timothy

Are you tired of falling over 'THAT BALL!'? This is a brilliant design, it just squishes up if you happen to stand on it, great for disabled or elderly owners. I have an 8 month old 35 lb puppy. She loved this toy as soon as I gave it to her. The size was good. The toy was not too small for her mouth. She managed to destroy the toy and rip it apart within one day. My puppy destroys all toys I give her, but it usually takes about a week. I would not recommend this toy for any dog that likes to chew.Jsdude10

Lily, my Pittie rescue, just loves her Zogoflex dog toy, and won't share it AT ALL with her brother or sister, which has caused a little tiff or two in the house, so I'm going to have to break down and buy two more of these for them! But that's okay, because they're a great, fun, engaging dog-treat toy for your dog, to be sure. The way you stuff your chosen treat into them makes it a little bit challenging for your dog, even a champion, intelligent chewer like my 2-year-old pittie, to get to the treat, so it's going to take a while for your doggo to work their way to the prize, trust me! And if you put something soft like peanut butter, all the better! I did try that, since this is dishwasher-safe, and it provided Lily with about an hour of entertaining licking. (Make sure you're up for THAT licking sound in the background!) The only thing I do not like about this toy – and it's minor – is that the rubbery plastic substance on the outside of it is SO STICKY that every single particle of dust or tiny hair on or around your dog will instantly stick to it, it does not matter how clean you think you get it. And NO AMOUNT of washing or rinsing will clean it because the instant you touch a paper towel or regular towel to it, fibers from THAT rub off onto the toy! It's aggravating for ME personally, but it may not bother you! That's the only thing that bothered me; otherwise, Lily had a great time with this; it's very engaging and you can tell a lot of thought went into the design, for sure. DO NOTE, however, that if you have a breed of dog that is flatter in the snout (bulldog, Pekinese, etc., you know who you are 🙂 think twice about this toy, as the "cup" part of this toy is deeper than it appears here and the dog needs to have at least an average to longer "nose" or snout to be able to reach the treat. I'm not sure that is mentioned in the product description. But assuming your dog's nose is up for the hunt, go for it; I do not think you will be disappointed!hotflashvickie

Look, I'm going to be honest here, I bought mine off Amazon at a higher price and am salty about it – HOWEVER, this is thing is better than the Kong Classic by an absolute load. Kongs can take a lot of time for dogs to get used to and when they do, they might not get everything out. Not an issue here. It's got raised bits in the middle to add the challenge, freeze your dogs brekkie/dinner for them when you're heading out and need even more challenge, and even with all that, your dog clean this thing out. Weird, grey Kong paste is a thing of the past. Also, The width of these things means that even the most determined of deep-throating dogs won't choke on them. 10/10. Our labs are LOVING their Toppls! Toppls are easy to fill and clean, and nothing gets trapped inside like sometimes happens with Kongs. The “fins” at the bottom hold mini carrots and cookies. We fill them up with leftover veggies or fruit, pumpkin purée, yogurt, or cottage cheese, and top with blueberries or small dog treats. We freeze them to make the treats last a little longer. They also work if you fill them with moistened kibble, but it doesn’t hold a whole meal’s worth. . I was a little concerned our dogs would chew through the material when I first got the Toppls, but that material is tough! So glad we discovered these.SeeSpotShop

It's a great toy but my black lab is so strong he bites through even the toughest and stones of all these toys. Things you would not think a dog could chew through, made of the toughest material, my lab will destroy it within an hour if not minutes. He's a sweet dog and very gentle with people. He's just very rough on his toys. So funny but he costs me a lot of money. I don't think there's anything out there that is tough enough for him to play with that is indestructiblediana.t

The tentacles of this toy came off almost immediately. It took a bit longer for the ropes to come of which then revealed a squeaky ball which my dog loves. The other pieces did end up making a mess around the house while providing a reasonable amount of chew time. The ball is totally worth it as it is his favorite fetch toy now.ChewyDog75

I have a 13 week old lab she’s in her chewing stage. Bought this because Kong is supposed to be the aggressive toy to buy for puppies. She’s 15lbs and I bought her the large one. Within 30 minutes of playing with it the top was ripped and I had to take the squeaker out. I have now cut the top off so it’s just a rope toy with legs. Will not buy again.KitKat918

The orange rubber is very sturdy, to this day my dog has not broke it; however, the the rope didn't last 10 mins after the dog opened his present. The rope is a very good idea because it would've given me a chance to pull the toy, but unfortunately its construction didn't stand a chance with my 7old months large puppy. Ended up cutting the rope and still using the rubber so not all money was lost.Naldo

I like the Ruffwear toys. They hold up well. Bought this toy and played with it once with my dogs. Took it to the lake and my son threw it in the water before I could test whether it would float or not. Needless to say it sunk. Not a water toy, but good quality. I'm a little disappointed that we lost it to the lake because I think it would have been a good toy that lasted a long time.Collin Z.

I wanted to really love this toy. It's actually the second time I bought it…but only out of desperation because it lasted longer than all the other toys my dog has destroyed. I don't have a big dog but he's a determined chewer and can destroy ANYTHING but a Kong. He's a 1 yr old lab/maybe husky/maybe retriever/viszla mix (we think). He LOVED LOVED LOVED this toy but chewed the rope off straight out of the gate. He used that weakness to find a spot to tear in the fabric and reveal the rubber and it was over from there. To be fair if you're using this the right way (for fetch instead of it ending up as a chew toy) it will likely last much, much longer. It's nice and light and throws well and was well-liked by my pup.G.i.t.P.

A friend of ours got out dog just the bumper part of this combo and it has been huge it. It received serious work every day at the beach, and as you can see from my photos even had some group play with several other big dogs. Seemed reasonably durable. It was the favored water toy this trip and we will be getting another if and when this on expires.TN Doodle Dad

I have a German shepherd who loves the pool. We live in a desert, so it's a great way to keep him active in the summer. Previously, I would use the orange Chuckit! balls for pool play because they are very durable and they're his absolute favorite, but he would have to bob a lot to grasp them which left him snorting up a lot of chlorine water. I found this product and felt it would be much easier for him to snag from the water. After two hours of play it held up pretty well. But I am worried it won't last long. He loved it, and had a blast fetching it over and over but he clamps down pretty hard when grabbing it. With his large teeth and strong bite, it made a lot of popping sounds as he would swim it back to the steps and readjust his hold on it. He punctured it quite a bit, but it hasn't fallen apart yet. Some of the stitching is coming undone on the blue ends and they are very weak. It may last longer if you can sew. When he gets it out of the water he does squeeze it as if trying to squeak it, but he's good at stopping when I tell him to. It probably wouldn't last an hour if I let him chew it and he's not even one to destroy toys. There's only been a few toys that have broken from him playing and it's almost always because his teeth puncture it and the stuffing starts falling out. Once this happens our golden retriever will take it and rip it to pieces. This one he is not allowed to have without supervision and only in the pool because it definitely won't last. Our golden actually hates the water, so we don't have to worry about her tearing it up. If you have a dog with a strong bite, or one that loves to chew, I'm not confident this will hold up very well. But I still really like it and it makes a great water toy. It's bright, and floats well. It was easy for my shepherd to grab onto without losing it. He loved it and wasn't very happy I took it from him when we headed back inside. If this one falls apart too soon, I may have to find a more durable pool toy. My camera was dead, but I managed to get some pictures from my phone. I included some photos after coming back inside showing the punctures and the broken stitching on one end after 2 hours of play and limited chewing. The damage was mostly from him just grabbing it from the water as I did not let him chew it outside the water for very long. Update 5/22 – added some photos after about 6 more hours of use. It fell apart around the tag and the inside ended up slipping right out. My shepherd ended up still fetching just the inside. I'm sad that it fell apart so quickly and will have to find something that won't unravel with such a short time of play.F.N.

Durable. My dog loves figuring out how to open the chip bag. He is a chewer and destroys toys quickly with squeakers. The chips have held up so far. The crinkly chip bag is a hit as well! Will repurchase when this set wears out.Jennifer

Great size for a medium dog that is around 30-50lbs. The inside is a bit tougher which hopefully will hold up. It also has a squeaker in it too and is not loud either. Though the squeaker died from being played with in about 10 minutes.Christoph

I just received this in the mail today and I'm in LOVE! It's so cute and I love that my boy, Jack, can get multiple little toys out of it as he inevitably tears through the layers. The one thing I will say is that the little black spikes are foam and easily are ripped off, which Jack immediately did of course. I caught him quickly but he definitely ate a couple, whoops. This is my dog’s favorite Bark toy (he carries them around & puts them all together) and it was sold out on both Bark’s and Target’s websites. I was happy to find them here! I bought this for our puppy who kept stealing the catnip and silvervine taco toy the cat owns. I didn’t know whether it is the taco or the catnip that the dog likes but she enjoys this toy very much and it’s definitely a more appropriate size and sturdiness for a dog. Gave this to my 80 pound American Bulldog at 7:25 and it was in pieces in an hour. She absolutely loved it and the squeaker is the best one I've heard. Problems of having a strong dog. It would be fabulous for a regular chewer but not su much for the Piyty type dogs.JourneyMom

This line of balls is my pittie's absolute favorite. I have no idea what makes them so special but he loves every one from this line…and he's kind of an expert. -He takes personal pride in how quickly he can get the squeaking mechanism out of these. I thank God for that because it's a particularly annoying squeak. Usually takes less than an hour. -The feet are next to go, though they usually last a few days. -After that, they're his favorite to chase. Picked one up from the store since one of my pitties loves balls and the other loves plush toys. Turns out theres something about these spiky balls with the lityle cute feet that both my dogs were drawn to and the other toys were immediately ignored. Its very tough rubber but it still wont stand up to the strongest chewers like my dogs, then again not much does :). They had the feet bitten up in no time but even then its perfect for playing fetch even my fat girl was running top speed to try to take the spiky ball from her sister so i actually went and bought her one too! I loved this product so much i had to come drop this review, and let you guys know just how much your dogs will love it. If you only bring it out at the park or anywhere where they wont spend their whole time just tearing it apart this toy can last a pretty good while.Teotzin

My Olive loves this carrot. She takes it by the green ends and thrashes it all around! We also play fetch with it. So far, it has held up very well. Olive is a hard chewer, so that’s saying something!Jordi B.
