This is a nifty item for your dog. It comes with a carrying case and it just pops open when you release the velcro straps. I like that it has the option to fill the zippered bags with sand or whatever you need to keep the tunnel in place. My dogs have passed away but when I saw this dog agility tunnel I thought my 4 cats would really enjoy it and boy was I right. I have it set up in the middle of my living room and the cats use it every day. I had put it away for a few hours to make room for taking down my Easter decor and my cats were not happy about it. They kept pawing at the rolled up tunnel and kept pulling on the Velcro strips trying to get it open. I finally set it back up for them and they played so hard one of the kittens starting panting. Never seen that before. My grandchildren came for Easter and the 1 1/2 yr old and the 5 year old had fun playing in the tunnel too! Tried to upload a short video but wasn't able to which is a shame because it shows this dog agility tunnel isn't just for dogs. If this ever wears out I'm definitely buying another one. I've even gotten on my knees and crawled thru the tunnel myself. There's plenty of room. I haven't laughed so much in a long time and they say laughter is good medicine. I have 7 dogs of varying sizes who use this door constantly. The only fault I find is that the rubber gaskets between the slats in the door wear out . Everything else lasts a very long time. I tweaked it by putting piano hinges between the slats and that has extended its use a lot. If I could buy just that part the door would last practically forever! I have an 11 pound puppy that was just spayed. So I purchased this to keep her from licking her incision site as she was able to get out of her ecollar and chew it up. What I liked about this pro collar is that her view wasn't obstructed and that she wasn't running in to my walls, furniture etc. she also seemed to be more comfortable in it. What is unfortunate is that she was still able to reach her incision site to lick if she really tried. I can really see this product working on a larger dog that has longer distance between their mouth and site of incision as not only would I need a larger pro collar and the dog would have to really bend farther to reach the incision. This is why I gave it three stars and not a 1 star. I don't see it working in situations where incisions are on limbs and such. So for instance, if my long 80 pound lab needed to have surgery on his belly or torso area I would purchase this again because he will have a longer distance to reach than my tiny flexible puppy. I have this collar. I used it last year when one of my girls had a lump removed from her chest. It was so much more comfortable for her to sleep in that a cone. She was able to see, eat, drink and do pretty much anything while wearing it. I just pulled it out again because my other girl had a cancer lump removed from her armpit area. I have Dachshunds so no cone stops them from licking if they have an injury lower than their midsection. But this worked wonders for both when the injury was on the chest and waist area. Some tips.. 1. It does require a collar to be attached to the inside loops to keep it securely on your dog. You can't just Velcro it on their neck or your dog will probably find a way to take it off pretty quickly. Also, make sure the ends of the tube are touching when you Velcro it or your dog can get around it to chew. 2. Make sure it id inflated enough. If it is not, your dog will get it off. 3. If your dog has an injury that is lower than waist area, it may not be enough to keep them from reaching that area.lilys mama
I've now purchased this twice for my cat when she had minor surgery and it has been a complete godsend. My cat was so stressed out with the cone because it significantly impaired visibility and didn't allow use of her whiskers. She was constantly stressed and trying to hide in the darkest, tiniest, craziest spaces, and would get stuck with the cone and unable to get out or move. Poor kitty. 🙁 She has a history of being bullied by other animals she lived with before we rescued her, and while she is usually very comfortable in our home, she was so scared and stressed from being unable to assess her surroundings and move around freely. Before we knew about the collar we tried a soft cone (didn't help) and two kinds of bandages (didn't stop her from picking at the wound anyway). Then we found ProCollar (the 2nd one we bought is called ZenCollar but it looks/functions the same) and it was such a lifesaver! Once we put this on her, she became almost instantly more relaxed and back to the sweet and loving cat we knew. I am so thankful somebody thought of this idea and made it!!! The idea of my poor cat being stressed out for two weeks (while probably in pain and not feeling good during recovery) made me so sad. I have not had any issues with leaks as others had, but if I did, I would just go buy more, it is that great of a product. My cat had sutures in two places (from two different procedures a year apart) – on her front leg and near her butt – and she wasn't able to reach either place with the ProCollar. Pet door flaps made very cheap,extremely light weight, when the slightest wind comes along both flaps are straight out to the outside, magnets in the wrong place to hold the flaps, I have had pet doors for many years and NEVER had this problem, I will never recommend buying this one, not worth the money for sure, very disappointed. I installed this and immediately wasn't happy with it. The plastic screws are useless. The flap itself is flimsy, flexes, and never forms a decent seal. The magnet isn't strong enough to hold it in place and fell off within weeks. The bad seal lets in bugs and wind. I'm now left with a terrible draught which makes heating and cooling the house a continual struggle.Bero
Installation instructions are lacking. Installation took over 8 hours. If you decide to get this door which I don't recommend do get some 6mm thread bolts (that need to be at least the width of your door) before you leave Bunnings. I can understand why the maker has provided plastic bolts as they are designed to be cut off but the plastic is no where near sturdy enough to do the job of holding in this door. If you do buy it do yourself a favour and don't use the plastic screws at all they are useless/strip and the X for use with a screwdriver/drill strips out also making them even harder to remove. When cutting out the hole to the template size part of the dog door will not sit in the recess. You need to cut this slightly larger, but be very careful as the holes you need to drill to put the bolts through are WAY too close to this hole to have proper purchase in the door. Cutting the inserts yourself is a nightmare (instructions say to cut with scissors, this is a joke as it's so tough) I had trouble cutting this even using my Chicken shears, normal scissors won't do the job. Once this is installed the flap doesn't actually seal fully from weather and wind but will keep the flies out. There have to be better/easier doors to install.Jill & Brian
We bought this last weekend. We read the instructions carefully and were nervous at first cutting through our expensive screen door. My husband used the angle grinder to cut around the supplied template. It was so easy following the instructions. It took 1 hour. A great price too. This has to be the best exercise equipment for puppies and dogs. The tunnel was extremely easy to assemble and the bags, which reminded me of saddle bags, were easily filled with play sand and the velcro kept the sand in place without any spills during play time. Delilah, as shown in the pictures, is a rescue dog with a high energy level. To coerce her to learn a new skill we threw a ball into the tunnel and it only took her two times to go in one end and come out the other side. She absolutely loves this and although I could not get a picture of her going in and out of the tunnel she played with this tirelessly and also learned to give us the ball to keep throwing it into the tunnel. This tunnel was easily folded and placed in the carrying case. The tunnel will travel with us and will be used over and over.idab
