At first sight my dog was very excited to play with his new toy. He is a small/medium dog but more on the smaller side, after only 5 minutes of him trying to get his treat out the banana, a big chunk rips off. Luckily I was there to grab the plastic chunk so he wouldn't choke on it. The "hardness" is the same as a cheap toy you would find at the dollar store. The product's design and styling are quite good. Our puppy enjoyed using it and was genuinely engaged. Having four settings of complexity meant it would hopefully be able to "grow" with her. The problem came in with the materials chosen. The entire outside is rubberized which is great in theory as it means less noise and less wear and tear on floors/furniture. However our puppy quickly started working at the rubberized ring around the food opening which is understandable. "Food is in there. I can either shake it out or just root for it."–a very natural dog response. Got this to replace my dogs Kong Wobbler. My dog had his wobbler for years and it held up great, I just didn’t like the color (it’s bright red; there’s no color options). I was excited when I saw this toy, it fits the aesthetic of my home. I also liked that there were difficulty settings on this toy (something the kong doesn’t have) but for almost $60 I expected it to hold up for more than 10 minutes… my dog isn’t even destructive, but he somehow chipped off the rubber around the treat dispenser. The rubber makes it much quieter than the plastic Kong wobbler but I can’t trust my dog to play with it without me supervising which defeats the purpose.. I fill it with treats when I have to leave him to help with his separation anxiety. Can’t imagine how this would hold up with a destructive dog. Needs to be made out of tougher material if my sweet guy managed to damage it. Looking for The Game 2.0 made from better material.
This product was great. It's the first puzzle toy that our puppy has interacted with and it took him a little while to figure it out at first (5-10 minutes). He was initially unsure about the product, thinking it was more of a chew toy. The following few days, he's gotten better at figuring out how to dispense food from The Game. I've moved it from Level 1 to Level 2 and he seems to be pretty proficient at it now. I'm thinking of moving to Level 3 and am curious about how it will change the interaction. Overall our puppy is SO HAPPY when he sees me take this product out. He can't wait to play with it! I only wonder how long it will last – the outer silicone shell has some pretty deep bite marks and gashes so far. Had I known that this was made in China I wouldn't have bought these. I filled it with treats and gave it to my dog. He eventually figured out how to get the treats out so in that sense it was useful. We pet owners in the US have been warned about not buying anything made in China, especially food. I bought this toy for Turbo the lab shepherd mix…. he loves it…. tosses it in the air to get the treats. It is the size of a small coffee cup and made of durable plastic. Seems quite safe for all dogs. Keeps Turbo amused and my hubster watching him!!! It is a good product and would be a great gift. This item is pretty amazing. I'm still trying to figure out what to do about the one major flaw… We use this every day for meals. My dogs meals no longer disappear by the time her food container has been put away. I receive entertainment watching this awkward 2.5 year old Pitt bull terrier use her paw to whack the wheel like a Neanderthal and dispense food to herself. Luckily she also enjoys the challenge. We both have fun as the major flaw of this item makes me get interactive with her. Now we get to talk about the flaw… This thing moves across the floor. It moves off the food mat and the "Neanderthalic whack" my dog gives the wheel doesn't help much. This food puzzle has non stick feet and I thought paired with a non stick mat it would be fine. It's not. I have to act as border patrol and push it back towards the area of the lower floor it came from. No matter how much I wrack my brain to come up with a method to keep this thing immobile nothing comes to me. I place at one spot in the room and it moves all over the room as my dog eats. This is the flaw. We both love this thing though… But I would buy an upgraded model if the company can create a design that doesn't migrate so easily.Olivia

I have a smart dog and he needs entertainment daily so I spend a lot on interactive toys. This one I don't regret purchasing at all because he has so much fun pushing around the little doors. At first I was concerned he would merely pick it up, but I barely touched one of the hatches and he realized it was a game not a chew toy. Now he gets excited everytime I pick it up. I have several of these for my dog and this one is probably the lowest quality of them all. It made my dogs mouth bleed. Also, I was amused by this but Walmart actually delivered this toy with a mouse hole chewed in the box and a mouse nest inside it. I live in the country so it isn’t a big deal and I found it quite humorous but someone else may not see the humor in it. I really didn’t think that my dog would enjoy a puzzle type toy. But he does love pizza so anything that looks like pizza would be of interest to him. I filled it with some kibble just to test it out. He was instantly drawn to it. I didn’t think you’d be able to figure out the flipping and moving of the puzzle pieces but he got it practically the second I set it down. I will definitely be using this in the future for all different kinds of treats. I also cleaned it after the first shoes because he did slobber all over it and it was super easy to clean.Dnh5041
