Quick question: my dog, a 55# standard poodle has just started taking these and the difference is amazing; however, it appears that his stool is runny (2 days on the meds). Will this condition dissipate? I am giving him 2 pills at once in his food. Maybe, 1 pill 2x daily in his food? Thanks for your help.MELISSA D.

I haven't figured out how much Sadie needs nor have I figured out how many times a day Sadie needs. We're up to 2 a day, morning and early evening. She is still licking the furniture and bed but not as much and stopped licking her paws which is a great thing! I'm going to stay with 1@ 2X day awhile longer, she's 25lbs. I love the product – your packaging – AGAIN – is HORRIBLE. I ordered two of these and one arrived opened and about ten left in the the bottom of the container. The other container was in tack! So one container completely distroyed. Other items in the box were broken open: The box of Cat Food – 30 box count. Totally broken apart and all the cans were all about the box. And many dented! The shipping box itself had obviously been broken and arrived in super bad condition and a lot extra tape. The box was a mess and was part of the delay in its delivery! I have complained about your packaging practices many times before…. Seldom with any evidence that some one cares. Boxes still come beat up, destroyed, contents thrown about and dented. AND way too heavy! I will be 80 next week! Those are heavy boxes for me (or anyone!!)…..I have to take the box apart a the gate and bring items into the house. I am so thrilled with the results of this product. I contacted the manufacturer, who confirmed that the formula is the same as their cat joint relief product; the dosage and texture is just different between the two. So I buy this for my 2 cats and 1 dog to avoid having to buy two different products that are essentially the same thing. I crumble 1 treat into my senior cats' wet food each day and give 2 daily to my young dog for preventative purposes. Before starting on these, both of my cats had showed some natural decline in mobility, and one of them had torn his ACL tear when attempting a high jump. After just a few days of these treats, both cats showed greater mobility, and the one with the ACL injury was jumping again after a little over a week. After several weeks, he's moving like the young, athletic cat he used to be. Most importantly, nobody seems to be in any discomfort anymore. … I will just say, though, that this new advanced formula with collagen is much stiffer/denser than the regular formula without collagen, so crumbling the treats can be a little bit of a pain. I have a brave little mini doxie that would take on the meanest badger, but hates storms or loud bangs of any kind. If you are reading this you know what I mean, pawing, panting, whining, she stands on top of me during the night and puts her face in mine like…make it stop! I decided to try Quiet Moments because I was having difficulty finding the brand recommended by my veterinarian. My elderly Dachshund was having anxiety issues, so had looked for something "non-chemical" to treat her with if at all possible. I'm cautiously pleased after using it for three weeks now. The only reason why I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because it took a little longer than expected for these to kick in. My dog has terrible anxiety and when it storms, she shakes and pants heavily and just paces everywhere. I had to look for something because her behavior was becoming so bad, I couldn't control her and she's normally well behaved. I saw the reviews and ordered these. I gave her two due to her size and after about half an hour, the shaking and heavy breathing stopped. She became so calm. I should have gotten these a long time ago! My girl has had bad allergies since I moved to Texas. Mainly skin allergies. She’s about 80lbs and she’s 12. She was taking apaquil daily and it worked however it’s expensive but not only that taking long term allergy meds can actually put her at higher risk of yeast or other fungal skin infections. My senior dog's liver values have been elevated due to medications and age. SAMe and Milk Thistle were recommended and we have been using both by Vita Pet Life. My dog likes the taste and eats them as a treat. He's 95lbs so we do have to give 4 tables/day but this brand is still the most economical for a large dog's dosage and it is clearly written on the bottle in the description pictures. I had a perfectly pleasant experience with this company, but the product itself has only caused my puppy to act out. I'm not sure why, especially after reading so many positive reviews, but these "calming bites" trigger the opposite behavior in my dog. He has far more energy and it's all destructive/aggressive. Every time I've given him a full tablet, he has stayed up later than usual wanted to play (think midnight instead of 9 PM). So these bites aren't for us. First, this is not a miracle drug. This is an aide to a multitude of issues. My dog has anxiety and licks her paws non-stop. My couch looks tie-dye in some spots because of her incessant licking. My 12 year old Shiba Inu had 850 liver enzymes. That's so bad and I was so stressed. She has been on this stuff for over 1 year and now her enzymes are about 420. Cocker has “dry eyes and prescribed steroids and cyclosporine twice daily each eye. Suspect his extremely elevated liver enzymes may be due to long term steroid use or could just be his age. Haven’t tested for Cushing’s but sonograms reveal no tumors on liver or pituitary glands. He was lethargic and never feeling well until his doctor advised trying the Denamarin. His Opthalmologist concurred it was a great idea. Haven’t yet tested his liver enzymes again to see if the numbers have improved (hasn’t been on them quite a full month) but I’ve reordered and will receive the pills monthly. Bottom line: he’s a lot more energetic, playing with his toys again, not sleeping all the time, just overall feeling so much better. He’s acting normal again—normal for an 11-plus year-old Cocker. Did a lot of research before giving him the Denamarin and felt they were safe, and most people had positive results using it. Only drawback would be that the pills for large dogs are really big. You’re supposed to administer 1 hr before or 2 hrs after a meal, which I do with a little piece of boiled chicken breast to hide it and help it go down, and it goes down without a problem. Can’t imagine any dog of any size being able to swallow a pill that size without an owner hiding it in a little chunk of something, cheese, pill pocket, treat. Anything to help it go down easier. And helps if they drink a little water. Can’t wait to have his liver enzymes tested again. I’m confident they will have improved. Side note: when one’s liver is not working properly, urine can have an odd and strong odor, which his did. Standing several feet away, I knew something wasn’t right. That too has resolved which makes me believe his liver is on the mend.Yvonne

My dogs love them! I have 2 large dogs (155 lbs & 130 lbs) so I wish the sticks were bigger, but they just love them as a tasty, little snack. If I give them more than one treat, they always choose the calming dog chews first. I think it's even helped with their doggie breath too. I'm sure it helps with calming, but since I just give them one and because of their size, I'm sure they would need more for it to be really effective. I turned to this product for my cat after everything else failed. She has a chronic sinus infection that did not respond to multiple rounds of two different antibiotics. My 10 year old cat was literally dying because she could not eat and was getting too weak to drink. She was getting palliative, hospice type care but I didn't want her to starve to death. I take care of feral cats and I Trap, Neuter, and Release (TNR) them in order to decrease the cat population in my neighborhood. When spaying a female cat, you have to keep them for at least 4 days for them to appropriately heal and have the affects of the anesthesia to wear off completely. One of the ferals that I trapped was a skin-and-bones female that was really too young to be having the kitten she was towing around with her. So I trapped her and her only surviving female kitten, had them both fixed and proceeded to "Fatten them up" and have them heal completely. "Under the Weather" Ready-Cal was the perfect supplement to give to both mamma and baby while they healed. I kept mamma in my care for one month because she was so pathetically thin. In that month, Mamma's coat changed from a rusty brown to a glossy black. She gained weight to where you could no longer feel her ribs poking through her fur. She did not like indoor life AT ALL and could not be socialized or handled, so she was released back to her outdoor home. I continue to feed Mamma every day, even built her an outdoor heated shelter in my fenced in yard. She is very content now. I read tons of reviews on multiple sites and decided to try these on my dogs. These legit work!!! My dogs(we have 5) had a bad can of stress diarrhea for a week from moving to a new home. VetCaps are so efficient and work very well on our cattle. It sure beats the old way of treating for flies — pouring the product down the cows backs. This required using a squeeze chute or funneling cattle from a pen through cattle panels.Sharleen
