I bought another brand this summer because where I went didn't have the simple green & it was a waste of money; didn't eliminate any smell! So I went back to Petco & picked up a gallon of the simple green! It has a pleasant scent right away which is a plus AND it elminated the "barnyard" smell I had going on! I had a small pool in my back yard (that from trial& error I've learned to put tarp down first so the bottom of the pool didn't get funky, stinky). Because of the pool sitting in the grass not aerating the funk from my dogs waste festers and when you pull the pool up the stench will knock you out. Just bought this yesterday (5/14/18) to rid our back yard artificial turf (AF) of the urine smell our new Labrador puppy has been leaving. I followed the instructions on the package, and waited until the sun went down so the AF would be cool to apply the product. I used the whole bottle on an area that is about 25ft. x 25ft. When it's being applied, it smells nice, like a deodorizer. After I applied the product, I lightly misted the area, as recommended on the bottle. This morning, I woke up, took my dog outside, and the lawn still smells. It wasn't even sunny out yet, which typically causes the AF to heat up and "activate" the urine smell more. Unfortunately, this product did not work to eliminate a Labrador's (9 weeks old) urine smell. For the price I paid, I would think it would do the job. I live in an apartment that has a small yard attached. Due to the size it doesn't take long to start to have an odor. I have tried all sorts things to eliminate the smell. I have used Happy Jack 40+ years but after moving off the farm 15 years ago forgot all about it and began using holistic medications, etc. Well, I do rescue and got a little jack russell with 70% of her body scarlet, oozie red, infected red ears, thick red, hairless legs, tail, chest and face. She had been ill for so long her skin was very thick and discolored. I spent hundred of dollars for 4 months without results then ran across Happy Jack again in the Tractor Supply. I bought mange medicine instead of the dip I had used before and, within 32 (I counted them) hours, her itching has stopped, her skin is now pink not red and her little swollen paws and now a normal size. I will continue to use according to the directions to make sure this is gone but might switch to the dip to treat her in 30 day cycles. My dog was scratching constantly causing hot spots an scratches that bled a little not to mention she had this smell that's was offensive. I tried other products and then I heard of this one from a friend, bought it and brought home and put it in a spray bottle to evenly spray her entire body (except in her ears, eyes, mouth or sanitary areas) and to my surprise I Seen instant relief for her and she was able to sleep peacefully and so was I. You might want to buy a few bottles because you'll have to make sure your pet is wet and massage it into their skin (use gloves) might want to cover areas where your offer lays until your pet is dry. Leave on your pet for 3 days… You'll notice flakes (scabs) that's normal, wash your pet.. Let them dry completely and repeat the happy Jack mange medication. You'll start to notice the hair growing back. You'll be happy and your pet will be happy an you will have saved alot of $ then you would had you went to a vet. I bought all mange treatments from happy jack… I have a white pit with enlarged paw found out it was NOT yeast like the lying vet said it was…..another vet told me it was cancer? only after years of bull! money sucking vet visits! to find out it was mange attacking the animals for YEARS ! Just bought this yesterday (5/14/18) to rid our back yard artificial turf (AF) of the urine smell our new Labrador puppy has been leaving. I followed the instructions on the package, and waited until the sun went down so the AF would be cool to apply the product. I used the whole bottle on an area that is about 25ft. x 25ft. When it's being applied, it smells nice, like a deodorizer. After I applied the product, I lightly misted the area, as recommended on the bottle. This morning, I woke up, took my dog outside, and the lawn still smells. It wasn't even sunny out yet, which typically causes the AF to heat up and "activate" the urine smell more. Unfortunately, this product did not work to eliminate a Labrador's (9 weeks old) urine smell. For the price I paid, I would think it would do the job. It was easy to use. It really cleared up odors in our garbage cans from dog duty. The flies had become insufferable. Directions For Use on Pet: 1. Start with Natural Chemistry's Waterless Bath all over the pet, especially the face to break down skunk oils (typically the most common sprayed place). 2. Dilute concentrated formula (3:1) for use (preferably in a large pitcher): Shake bottle and mix one part of Skunks Etc. with three parts of lukewarm water. 3. Hold pet's face upward as pouring product from a pitcher from the nose, over face and down pet's back. Concentrate on where pet was directly skunked. Be sure to reach down to skin. Do not rinse, allow to air dry. 4. If Skunks Etc. does not come in contact with odor source, repeat above with 1:1 foundation. For Use on Carpet & Upholstery: 1. Test fabric or carpet for colorfastness. 2. Dilute concentrate formula (3:1) for use: Shake bottle and mix one part of Skunks Etc. with three parts of lukewarm water. 3. Work thoroughly into surface, making sure to saturate well. Make sure Skunks Etc. comes in contact with odor source. Do not rinse, allow to air dry. 4. If Skunks Etc. does not come in contact with odor source, repeat above with 1:1 formulation. For Everyday Use: Eliminate cat spray & smell. Saturate area well with product. Let air dry (outdoors) or rinse and blot with towel (indoors). Remove candle wax from carpet. Saturate area well, leave on for 10 minutes, remove wax particles, then rinse and blot area with towel. Great as a spot cleaner. Saturates stain spots, leave for 15 minutes, then carpet clean over them – removes all organic stains! Great as a carpet cleaner. Pour full bottle in carpet cleaning machine (instead of usual carpet cleaning product). Cleans and removes odors! For Gardeners/Farmers: To remove cow manure stains from clothing, pre-soak clothing with product (approximately 1/4 of the bottle). Then wash laundry with your usual laundry soap product. For Hunters: To remove human scent from clothing, pour approximately 1/4 of the bottle into the washer without laundry soap product (also works to remove stains and odors from clothing). Also Try: Natural Chemistry's No Odor natural product to remove human scent from hunting equipment.
