The healing process made it itchy so she'd rub her face on the carpet thus rubbing off the scab and the wound would bleed and we had to start the healing process over. Apoquel has done wonders for my German Shepherd who recently developed seasonal allergies at six years old. He was scratching and biting at himself 24/7 and he caused an infection on his foot from the constant licking. He was so miserable until our vet put him on apoquel along w an antibiotic for his infection. The apoquel worked very quickly with relief felt later the same day he started. I am a vet assistant, and I see all kinds of animals coming in with different skin conditions or allergies and always felt so bad for them and their owners….. then I got a dog with allergies and then I found out what it's really like…. it is devastating watching your dog itch and scratch to the point of pulling their hair out, then when the hair is gone… then there goes their skin…. they will make themselves bleed and still won't stop. I tried benadryl I tried EVERYTHING, had to even do skin antibiotics and steroid Injections and still he was itching…. so… the dr tried him on this….. now… first thing I will say is this medication isn't cheap especially for bigger dogs (if you have a 10lbs dog it's not going to be too bad) but my poor dog had to start off taking 2 16mg 2 times a day and it was roughly 300 for the first month, however from there you taper down and after a few months I got him down to half a tablet once daily…. anyway…. this medication worked like a dream for him. He hasn't had any issues for over a year now and although sometimes he scratches its more of a normal itch. This medication literally saved him and my sanity. Purchased this product with not much confidence made a huge difference in my GSD allergies. Sprayed on the area he was chewing when he would begin chewing. It gave him instant relief, he now comes to get the area sprayed when he chews. I am going to use the same product which is an ointment to see how well it does. My dog was being swarmed by flies because of all the open wounds she had due to scratching her skin constantly due to a bad rash. I tried several prodcuts but nothing was working. I have used Happy Jack 40+ years but after moving off the farm 15 years ago forgot all about it and began using holistic medications, etc. Well, I do rescue and got a little jack russell with 70% of her body scarlet, oozie red, infected red ears, thick red, hairless legs, tail, chest and face. She had been ill for so long her skin was very thick and discolored. I spent hundred of dollars for 4 months without results then ran across Happy Jack again in the Tractor Supply. I bought mange medicine instead of the dip I had used before and, within 32 (I counted them) hours, her itching has stopped, her skin is now pink not red and her little swollen paws and now a normal size. I will continue to use according to the directions to make sure this is gone but might switch to the dip to treat her in 30 day cycles. My dog was scratching constantly causing hot spots an scratches that bled a little not to mention she had this smell that's was offensive. I tried other products and then I heard of this one from a friend, bought it and brought home and put it in a spray bottle to evenly spray her entire body (except in her ears, eyes, mouth or sanitary areas) and to my surprise I Seen instant relief for her and she was able to sleep peacefully and so was I. Would I recommend this product ? Yes, yes I would.. FYI.. You might want to buy a few bottles because you'll have to make sure your pet is wet and massage it into their skin (use gloves) might want to cover areas where your offer lays until your pet is dry. I bought all mange treatments from happy jack… I have a white pit with enlarged paw found out it was NOT yeast like the lying vet said it was…..another vet told me it was cancer? only after years of bull! money sucking vet visits! to find out it was mange attacking the animals for YEARS ! I stopped giving apoquel to my dog, not only because of the expense (costing more than $200 a month), but also because of all the reviews I have read about the danger to a dog's immune system with prolonged use. But my large German shepherd continued to scratch and scratch and scratch. After the first application of Skin Tonic Spray for Pets & People, his itching subsided greatly. We took our Newfie/Lab to the vet to get vaccinated for a training class. Shortly after his shots, he developed a skin allergy with two hot spots on each hip. I've tried the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Anti fungal Spray for Dogs and Cats on a few of our outside cats. They've been deflead but one still kept scratching and losing fur just above her tail. I'm not sure if it's an allergic reaction to the fleas or if it's the result of a thyroid problem. But we tried this spray and the itching stopped immediately. It's been almost 3 weeks and she still isn't scratching it. I also wanted to try this on some ringworm that a few of the outside cats have. I've been spraying this on for almost 3 weeks now but haven't really seen any improvement with the ringworm spots that I'm treating. Ringworm can respond slow to treatments anyway so I'm not sure if this is going to help with that or not. The spray is a pump and it has a light citrus smell, kind of like oranges. It will not harm your pet if they lick it. It didn't list a minimum age that you can use it on. It contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Keratin, and Aloe Vera. It's listed as an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial. To use this you just spray the area tell really wet, twice daily for a week, then once daily for another week. I read the reviews for this product but was still a bit skeptical for it to actually work. One of my cats (2 yr old orange tabby) literally scratched the size of a 50 cent bare spot (literally overnight) in center of his back below shoulder blade. By the end of the day the circle was warm red inflamed and gross. Being on a tight budget I did my research for home remedies. First I began applying a year old vet prescribed Dermalone antibiotic that was prescribed for one of my other cats for 3 days but area got worse. Then began applying Neosporin for 2 days lightly on and around scab now and ( luckily the spot was where he could not reach to lick off) and it did nothing as well. A week later purchased this product, followed the directions and a week later the area was completed healed. Scab dried and fell off and new skin looks perfect and normal. Unfortunately I dont know what this was for did not take him to a vet. Infected area did resemble pictures of ringworm online. My Pomeranian suffers from BSD and has lost a lot of his fur. I have tried treatments from the vets but with no avail. I decided to buy this Dermagic lotion in conjunction with the same brand shampoo and conditioner. The lotion is oily and don’t need much. The smell is rosemary which is ok but does linger. My avid little mouser cat caught herself a little prize just a few days before a month-prior planned trip my husband and i were unavoidably about to go to. Apparently that mouse had bitten her back in the process, right on her tender little lip cleft! Before we knew it, that bite had gotten infected so bad she became lethargic, her face swollen an angry shade of red, she could not eat or even drink on her own and she could not even close her mouth and was drooling on herself. Using this for hot spots on my canine, this stuff does work but it sometimes can take up to 2 8oz. Bottles to heal the area's treated. Not sure if it's the strength of medicine or just those stubborn spots. I caught the spots early on and started treating them immediately and have been treating them for a month now and they are getting better but slowly, these things are stubborn. I can say that absolutely nothing else I tried worked. Believe it or not, I read online the other day that rubbing Pepto Bismol on hot spots actually works, you heard right, Pepto Bismol. I haven't had the nerve to try it as I thought it could just be some nut trying to infect your pet even worse. I'm quite surprised with the reviews that say this product doesn't work. For my dog, it truly was a LIFE SAVER! I've been battling with my dogs hotspots (and dry, flaky skin) off and on ever since we moved back to the Midwest, at least a year of her issues. I've tried shampoos, conditioners, a handful of trips to the vet to trial different foods, and hundereds of dollars later I honestly just gave up. I started putting alternative topical agents on her that simply gave a temporary resolution. While traveling out of town, she (Mini Schnauzer) had a really bad case, to the point where she was starting to bleed. Tea oil, hot spot spray and the above HomeoPet drops were what I returned with, after another visit to the pet store. After the first day her redness had diminshed greatly and she wasn't itching nearly as much. By two, she wasn't itching AT ALL. I decided to remove the Tea oil and spray since I'd used them in the past without long-term results. It's been a week and my schnauzer has had 3-5 drops a day, oral dose of this product and she is doing exceptional! Seriously! No redness, no scratching. Today I hadn't given her any since yesterday afternoon and she started scratching again. I gave her 3 drops and about a couple hours later, again, her scratching is gone. This product worked exceptionally on my dog. On the other hand, I don't think her issues were due to food allergies, vs environmental surroundings, my guess. Although I have used this only once on Ty, we are already pleased with the results. For 6 months we have been dealing with his allergy to bee products of any kind. Finding a shampoo without those ingredients has been nearly impossible until we found Santa Cruz!! We were told that none of their products contain bee jelly nor anything related to bees. This shampoo, paired with the conditioner, has left Ty with a shiny, soft, and pleasant smelling coat. So far he is doing less itching and has shown noticeable improvement. I have two maltese that their beards and feet were getting stained. They do have eye staining as well. They have been bathed twice with the shampoo and conditioner. I like how it makes there hair look bright. The conditioner gives it sheen I have noticed that it helps with knots. My poor pupper got irritated paws from horrible ginko berries smashed all over the fall ground and then made them worse by licking. They were so red and I felt so bad. This product is on the shelf next to a dozen others that claim to do the same thing, but I didn't get to it until three others didn't get the job done. This showed visible improvement within a day. My dog suffers from hot spots on his feet and it makes him just miserable as one heals and another pops up in a different spot. My vet recommended I try a shampoo formulated specifically for hot spots and I found this at a major online retailer. A sixteen ounce bottle ran me about $7 as an add on item which I thought was quite economical since my dog is so small and that one bottle should last me through many, many washes. The formula uses Tea Tree Oil, Aloe Vera, Chamomile to calm dry, itchy skin and despite being a bit strong smelling during the bathing process the smell does not linger after drying. After the first bath with this I noticed a definite improvement in my dog's spots and he seemed more relaxed and less prone to lick the sore areas. After a month of weekly baths his spots were gone and they have not reappeared since. He also had a bit of a dandruff problem during the summer as he likes to sit outside and sunbathe which dries out his skin. Very best natural shampoo on the market. This stuff is amazing!!! My Husky is a terrible shedder. Turns my tiles into carpet. Moe’s not only stopped the shedding, but my she is so soft and plump now. I must say I was skeptical, but I was desperate to help my dog with her itching and horrible shedding. She has been on this for 2 weeks And NO SHEDDING or Itching. This is a miracle chew for us both. My dog really likes this omega chews, we decide to give them to him to see if it helps with his coat as we are starting a new season, I haven’t notice much change but my husband says his hair shines a little more. This supplements doesn’t have corn or dairy or any artificial flavors Smell really natural and have a nice texture. We have been giving them for a week now. There seems to be a little less skin irritation. Nothing that is a shout out YEAH for her relief. Also, she is not impressed with the taste. I have to camouflage the taste to get her to eat them. As of now, I am giving it a three. If she has better results after a longer time taking them, I will revise my rating.Deborah

I have a long haired chihuahua. Does exactly what it says! Very good quality! Will definitely keep buying this! Every product Ive tried of theirs has been perfect! Better than expensive vet RX brands & NO vet bills! I ordered the vet formula ear med hope it works like the rest of their stuff. Also ordered the anti-fungal/bacterial shampoo so hopefully my baby will be feeling better very soon without expensive vet bill which theyve not been able to help her after multiple visits in 3 years. Dermatitis , severe itching, dry flaky skin$30 shampoo $65 allergy shots monthly, tons of $$$ antibiotics & atarax. & constant prednisone every month which has made her gain sooo much weight and still didnt help at all !!! decided to try this vet formula shampoo/conditioner and its helped her sooo much even after the 1st use!!! Now she has really bad yeast infection in her ears & im wondering maybe ear mites too so ordered her the vet formula ear med it had 5 reviews so hope it works like they all said. Helps pain n swelling, itching, yeast,mites etc. so Im it works. Was $13 for them so worth a try. Also ordered that bacterial/anti fungal shampoo it had 5 rating too. $8 at Walmart. So what $22 total. And she may be healed instead of a $600 vet bill ??? Definitely worth a try since was all positive reviews & all their other items Ive got her has worked after 1st try!! This conditioner is awesome tho ! A must have for sure! Her coat is so healthy n shiny after 1st use when it was dry n getting damaged from her dry flaky , dandruff skin. Also her skin isnt dry n flaky anymore n barely any dandruff just after 1st use!! Im never one to leave many reviews or brag about items unless its definitely 10000% worth it! And this veterinary formula is most definitely worth it!! Big props to the Founders esp with cheap /affordable prices!!! I want to thank them personally for helping my little best friend n for saving me tons of money! Im disabled so I cant keep paying those expensive outrageous vet bills even tho shes worth it.
