Both of my dogs, two different breeds, had negative side effects. One immediately lost use of her legs and was disoriented for a few hours. She wasn’t herself again until the next day. The other one gradually became extremely itchy, which drove her crazy. We had to give her Benadryl and hold her tightly for about an hour before she relaxed enough to sleep.Breeder1

This vaccine was very convenient and cost worthy. You have to rehydrate the vaccine before use but that was fairly easy to do. It was very easy to give the vaccine to my dog. You have to keep the vaccine cold before use so be aware of that when tranporting the vaccine from the store to home. Would recommend this to anyone.Suehawk

This vaccine is as described. Everything you need to administer one dose is included with good instructions. We vaccinated 5 puppies (very easy) and one adult dog (not so easy). With a larger dog have a helper to keep the dog from backing away from the prick of the needle. Only down side was the cost of the overnight shipping, which is a function of any vaccine, so did not subtract any stars from the review rating.Carl

Last year my husband and I gave our 3 adult dogs the Spectra 9. They hadn't gotten the 9-way yet so we had to give the booster 30 days later. This was our first time giving shots. No problem after watching videos online and I called Durvet to confirm need for booster. Our dogs are generally jumpy, but this was quick & easy maybe because they were less nervous with us. They are now due for the vaccine and since they've already gotten the 9-way last time they will only need one shot this time. Rememer, if you are increasing/changing dosing it may need a booster. Best is to call Durvet and ask. The Spectra 9 saved us time & $$ going to vet. If you have a puppy you may want vet to handle it because of parvo.3 Crazy Dogs

Easy to use. 4 of the 5 shots I bought were great. I noticed a air pressure thing in the bottles but I figured out how to work with it and get the vaccine liquid all out. The only issue I had really was on the 5th shot the needle was lose and I didn't notice. It popped off after it was in my dog's skin from the pressure of the liquid. All the liquid poured out and I had to pull the needle tip out of my dog. She didn't care much but I'll have to get her a new shot to get her up to date, but her puppies all got thier shots. A warning in the instructions to tighten the tip would be nice. I never thought to check them.Tara L

I used the 10 in 1 vaccination on my mini-pinscher and was so relieved at how easy it was to do! I just can't afford a puppy vaccination plan that is way out of my budget. My only complaint with buying dog immunizations from tractor supply company, is that they do not automatically give you an ice pack when you purchase a vaccine. Two years ago I purchased 10, 6 in 1 vaccines for a litter of German Shepherd puppies. I wasn't aware they needed to stay on ice. Multiple dogs died of parvo due to this. So I feel like tractor supply company should train their employees to automatically give people ice packs when they purchase the vaccines.Dartysgirl

The shots I ordered got here on time and never got warm. But I never got to use them cuz my puppies came down with a cough. Then a few days later they had parvo. I couldn’t give them the shot cuz they where already sick. But I have one pup left and he’s going to go stay in the hospital as of today.LIBBY T

This product was very easy to administer. The directions walked you through the entire Process with out confusion . The needle was sharp and easy to inject which is very important to help prevent discomfort to your pet . I will suggest it to every one . Also the staff was very helpful .Micnuc

The vaccine is Great, we had trouble with other brands, but never a problem with Vanguard Plus 5. The problem is with KV Supply. They have a good price, but it took almost 3 weeks and 9 phone calls to get our order shipped. After reading other reviews, it appears that many have had the same problem. If you need your vaccines right away, look elsewhere, if you don't mind waiting and calling over and over, then save $15 bucks by ordering from KV.Robert

Vaccination kits are so much simpler and cost effective for high-anxiety dogs at home rather than paying the several times higher cost at a vet. I love having the option to update my dogs vaccines without a traumatic vet visit. Spectra has plenty of support online for anyone who is new to giving their dogs shots. I advise making sure you’re comfortable with the instructions before purchasing, as a vet will not administer the purchased vaccine for you due to liability concerns in storage between here and when you take it to the vet.Alexandrah

Sending this back. Was excited to see my dog play with this. I knew by reading some reviews that I would need to teach her how to drop the balls in the machine. It work great for the first few minutes , then it stopped working. I unplugged it and waited thinking maybe it needed to reset but no. So I waited the next morning, tried it again and it worked but after a few minutes stopped again. So I’m returning it. But hope to find another type maybe just a gravity flow one.edty

I think the our little dog is training my partner. They are both having lots of fun. She is no longer bored and is so much fitter and happier. The deal at the moment is she will drop the ball for him to put in the machine, she wants him involved. The noise build up before firing is so exciting for her and she has it down to the millisecond. I know she will master it as she does sometimes, but it is more about them both playing that she loves the most.archibaldtheyounger

Bought this for my too poodle and he absolutely loves it. Hours of fun and exercise, just drop the ball in the top and it launches it and off he goes. Trying to train him to drop the ball in himself. Use on mains as the batteries don’t last long at all. Great buy, highly recommended. Not the cheapest toy for your dog but well worth it.Grant, Sydney

I bought this for my mom for Christmas because she has a Lab that LOVES to play catch. I had a few things I was worried about that ended up not being an issue at all: 1. My mom is in her 70s so I worried she would have trouble pulling the handle back. Ended up being a non issue pulls back easily someone older or a young child could pull it back 2. How far would it shoot. She has an okay size back yard but its not overly large and I didn't want it to shoot to far or to short. You determine how much power you want it to have based on how far you pull it back. It ended up working perfect for her average size back yard. 3. Would it be easy to load. Just so long as your dog is good about dropping the ball you just push the kannon right over the ball on the ground and it loads which makes it extra easy for my mom. Of course you can load it with the ball in your hand but after a few throws that ball can get pretty disgusting. Added bonus it has a place in the handle to put an extra ball so if you shoot the ball to an area the dog can't get it or you have another dog around thats a ball thief (like my dog) you have a backup at the ready. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with a dog to likes to play catch and if I remember correctly they even have one for small sized balls if you have a smaller dog.Morgan

Playing fetch with my corgi proved to be anything but joyful after a few throws. After developing "tennis elbow" on both right and left elbows, I had given up until I discovered the Hyper K9 Kannon™. Within hours after purchasing the first one, I knew I had to get a backup ASAP. My corgi has never been happier playing fetch! The Kannon™ shoots the ball farther than I've ever been able to throw one by hand. It's great to be able to aim the Kannon™ where I want the ball to go, making it easy to make sure my corgi doesn't get in harms way en route to pick up the ball. My only concern is that the heavy duty rubber band might break at an inopportune time. I bought the backup just in case that would happen. I didn't see any option to order replacement rubber bands so I'm not expecting the Kannon to last more than a year. But, it is a small price to pay to save my elbows while adding a "ton" of joy to my corgi's playtime. Replacement balls are available. My corgi likes to chew balls so after I quickly went through four balls with her, I had to find an alternative ball her teeth couldn't penetrate.BarbTUSA

My four legged friend just loves fetching these smaller easy to pick up tennis balls. Great fun and exercise! This machine does not hardy make any noise, so it does not scare my puppy. Now to train her to put balls into holder, and after that she can fix me breakfast!!tacjeff-2414

Our 8 week old puppy took to this immediately. We live in a condo so we needed a solution to let our puppy ***** safely before she's fully vaccinated. There's no "Safe space" outside where we can take her that other dogs wouldn't have gone already. I had no idea if it would be hard initially to get her used to it, but we plopped her down on it as soon as we brought her home and she went *** right away. We had to re-direct her a couple of times during the **** sniff, but after a few times she knew this was her ***** spot. Doesn't mean she was ***** trained that quickly 🙂 but she knew when we put her there that it was her spot to go. 3 weeks later, this is the best thing we could have done. Having to take a puppy out every 15-20 minutes living in a condo would have been a nightmare. We keep it on our patio which is fairly large, and I never smell anything. I've ordered a 2nd one to keep in my car so when I take her places (carrying her only ), I can stick her down on the "safe grass" so she doesn't have to hold it the entire time. I will probably keep one on our patio well beyond when I can take her outside also, for early morning and late night *****'s, until she's old enough not to go so frequently. We had some issues with delivery – FedEx's fault not fresh patch, but their customer service is excellent and helping me resolve it every time (fedex is awful!).Zoey t.

My 6 year old long-haired chihuahua Choco is pad trained, but we've been having this issue where he steps on his fresh *** and tracks it all over the apartment floor, making me mop the floor multiple times a day. *** pads also don't do a great job with odor control, so it was time to look for an alternative. And fresh patch solved my problem! Choco's always been good with peeing on grass when we're on walks, so he picked it up in no time. We received the patch on Jan 8 so it's been 4 days (and Choco pees about 3-4 times a day) and I haven't noticed any odor. With *** pads, I had to replace every day (if not twice a day) to get rid of the urine smell. So this is working out great for us! There was a bit of a hiccup in shipping, but it wasn't Fresh Patch's fault — OnTrac, the courier had kept the package at their warehouse for almost a week, during which the grass patch – being moist and all – had developed mold. But Fresh Patch sent out a replacement via FedEx right away and it got here in no time. The support team is always super responsive and they get your problems solved!Choco

Our seventeen year old dachshund Mango began having bathroom accidents. Not wanting to restrict him with diapers we began looking for alternatives and we have found Fresh Patch. Although Mango does not seem to adjust to the grass after over a week of attempts, I believe it to be an excellent quality product. It is still very much alive and thriving nearly two weeks later. I love the way it feels and looks and since Mango isn't using it, I have been enjoying its use as a bed mat. Nothing more satisfying than getting out onto green grass every morning! Wife thinks I am quite indeed weird but I refuse to throw it out until it dies. Bottom line, I explained briefly what my problem was after the company followed up on my satisfaction with their product and within thirty minutes they refunded me for the grass. It wasn't even their fault! Mango was the one who didn't want to use it! What a pleasurable experience this was! With new balls, and a new machine, the product is exactly as advertised. After 10 minutes of fetch, the ball is too wet to throw as expected. The ball gets dirty, and the machine does too, creating a muddy internal process. The balls sent with the machine were subpar quality, and lasted about 25 throws a piece before they were starting to come apart. The machine doesn't adjust for ball sizes, so as a tennis ball wears down, the machine can't grab it, and forget about a tennis ball without it's hairy skin, they are too small by far. It's charging good, and working well if I keep putting new tennis balls in it, and run a towel through it, (although that's hard to do.) I suggest a manual adjustment be added to future products, to change the distance between the wheels that grab the ball. I think a tiny tweak on my machine would allow it to through hard rubber balls that wouldn't get nearly as dirty or wet, and keep the machine cleaner. Overall, I think the product is good, but is flawed in design. If there were just a few more capacities to make it work in the field and with different ball sizes, I think it's be a very strong product.Adam T.

Piggy is mostly white with very pink skin. His pads of his feet are pink they are turning a little darker as he gets older . He has one eye smaller than the other and has no pupil response in either eye but can see shadows i think from one eye. I was suspecting he was a double Merle . I’d love to send a pic so you could see. His traits that you have said he has appearance wise was not accurate. He does have a touch of Merle coloring on his lower hip and leg. But he’s mostly white and very pink around the eyes and pads of feet even pink nose with a touch of black . I would have never guessed he was related to most of these other breeds. He does however have a look of a American Staffordshire terroir a little. His mom Looked like a Australian Shepherd or boarder collie we think. He was a stray we found when he was only 4lbs and had to be fed with a syringe then bottle. Can a dog mixed with so many other breeds be a double Merle ?Kelly D.

We adopted our family dog from a shelter on Christmas Eve a few years ago. Ever since she was a puppy, she had always displayed peculiar traits that didn't seem to align with the traits of the breeds the shelter had guessed for her. We were very excited to receive our WisdomPanel (which was super easy to use) and even more excited to review the results (which came quicker than expected). The results definitely surprised us. I immediately thought it must have been a mistake, until I looked up pictures of the breed my dog was identified as — it was like looking at pictures of my own dog! Plus, the breed descriptions on WisdomPanel and the greater internet were 100% spot on with how our dog behaves. We certainly got more than a few good laughs at how incorrect the shelter's guesses were – it made our day! It was an overall amazing experience and would highly recommend.Jorge R.

I have serious concerns that the sample for my dog was mixed up with another's. The report stated that my dog is 50% golden retriever (meaning one of his parents was 100% golden) and 13% chow, with the remainder being other breeds. I would expect that if my dog was truly 50% golden retriever, he should look something like a golden retriever. Sam does not. He LOOKS like he should be some variation of a Doberman and Shepherd. He has the coloring of both of those dogs (mostly black with tan/brown accents) has VERY short hair, lanky legs, and a long straight tail. I sent a follow-up email to Wisdom Panel when I first read the results and got no response. I should think that since this is partly scientific research, Wisdom Panel would want feedback when data does not result as expected. I am very upset that I spent my money on this, especially with the lack of customer service when I reported my concerns.Stephanie G.

I had been wanting to get my dog a dna test since we got her from the shelter 4 years ago, and I finally gave in and got one, and I’m so glad I did! We knew so little about Rosey, she was just listed as a “terrier mix” at the shelter, other than that all we knew was her age. Rosey is only 35lbs full grown, but she has the head shape of a pit bull. And then she has the classic coloring of small terriers (like the rat terrier I grew up with) white, some brown on her head, and skin covered in black spots. Because she’s so small everyone thought I was crazy for thinking she had pit bull in her, and we CONSTANTLY got asked if she’s a jack russell. Well now we know, she’s American pit bull terrier, chihuahua, toy fox terrier, American staffordshire terrier, and rat terrier. Makes PERFECT sense! As I said, my dog growing up, named Lucy, was a rat terrier. When I adopted Rosey I literally told my gma, “she looks just like Lucy, but bigger and with a pit bull shaped head 😂 And it turns out, that’s exactly what she is! Another awesome thing was we found she has a sister named Delta, which is SO cool! The only thing I wish you guys had the option for, is some way for owners to contact one another. I understand people maybe not wanting their contact info, but maybe have an option where you can send a “request for contact” to an owner of your dogs relatives. If they don’t want to be contacted they wouldn’t have to accept it, then no info is ever shared. But the option would be there. I would LOVE to see if Roseys sisters owners have more info on where our two doggies came from! So that would be a super cool option. Otherwise, I’m so glad I did this, the process was super easy, it didn’t take long for my results, and I love all the cool info you guys give!Ashley M.

I ordered the Essential test kit for my rescue pup back in April of 2022. I had a pretty good hunch that she was predominately Labrador retriever, but with her speckled white chest, I thought maybe she’d have some German shorthaired pointer in her background somewhere. Well, call it “operator error,” but that first test kit I sent in didn’t have enough DNA material to test. I was bummed—instead of getting the results after a week or two of their testing facility receiving the box, I got the “sorry, not enough specimen to reliably test.” I thought I’d have to pay for another test kit. Nope! The email notifying me that my pup’s results weren’t able to be generated had a link which guided me in contacting customer service about a replacement kit. Customer service quoted “approximately 3 business days” for me to hear back from them—I received a response within 5 hours. On a Friday evening. In addition to the quick response, they sent a replacement kit to me almost immediately. Not bad, eh? The second kit was a success—enough material to test. As I was reviewing the results that were sent to me, my skepticism reared its head again. Her lineage had Labrador retriever (as expected), but no presence of German shorthaired pointer. Actually, no presence of any other breeds I’d anticipated. What allayed my concerns about the test reliability was the “Traits” section of her results—the test nailed her physical appearance, from her fur color and fur type, to her nose coloring, and her eye color. It even indicated that she was a low shedding dog (which is true, when the seasons aren’t changing). More importantly, the trait results showed which breeds in her lineage were attributed to the marled/spotted white on her chest! I definitely would recommend Wisdom Panel to any pet parent who’s even slightly curious about their pup’s pedigree. Their customer service is top notch, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience!Courtney S.

I received my dog DNA testing kit as a Christmas gift. After adopting Maggie a year ago, we were all very curious to see the mixture of breeds in her DNA! She is a tall (skinny stilts for legs!), lean (57.5 pounds since the day she came home!), poofy tailed, medium haired (that sheds everywhere!), white fur (with some darker accents on her ears) girl. While she has the tail, coloring, and double rear dewclaws of a Great Pyrenees, she has the face, ears, and hair of a Labrador, and she isn’t stocky or fluffy. Imagine my surprise to get the results that she is 100% Great Pyrenees??? No way, no how is my Mags not mixed with any other breeds. I wish I could attach a photo to this review, and you would say the same thing! Our vet suggested Great Pyrenees mixed with Labrador, retriever, possibly Anatolian Shepherd as a starting place. The whole reason to test her was to find out which breeds she is obviously mixed with…because she obviously IS NOT 100% Great Pyrenees as the results stated. I’ve contacted Wisdom’s customer service with pictures to get some insight, and after five days, I still haven’t received a response, which is disappointing. I feel like I didn’t learn anything that I expected to learn, and the person who gave me the gift was frustrated to spend so much money with little result. I was hoping that they would take the time to realize that the results don’t add up and offer to send me another test kit, but they have not replied to my concerns. I cannot say that I recommend Wisdom kits after my underwhelming experience.Erin C.
