This was a life saver. My pug is 15 and needs help getting up and down from couch. It has 3 positions so it is not steep for an older dog to use. It is ready to use right out of the box. Looks like a nice piece of furniture. It is not to long and can be used in the smallest spaces. The carpet like material on the ramp, also has slip resistant material on it (like what is on the bottom of socks). The dogs love it and it does not bother their feet. When going down the ramp, they can go as slow as needed and not slide down. I highly recommend this product. It will not work with really high beds or trucks unless you add to it. But it is perfect for anything else including cars (if needed) It is very light and easy to move around. It is very sturdy and does not move when dogs are using it. Even my younger dog loves it and she is scared of everything. The first day we got it we used treats to get them to use it. I only took a few minutes and they loved it. We had foam stairs before this but my older dog was still having issues using it. Because of the material of the stairs, when going down, it would force her to go fast and slide. This does not do that and allows them to go as slow as possible (I know I repeated this but it truly makes a difference for an older or injured dog/cat.)Nic

Just purchased this for my 70 pound elderly dog who has difficulty getting into and out of the car. I would have loved to keep this because of how well it was made, but it just didn't fit into the door opening of our new Equinox. Unfortunately the door didn't open wide enough. Also it wasn't long enough to use in the back lift gate. It was just too steep. Would be great in a regular car, but SUV's seem to be too far off the ground.Jodi
This is a nice sturdy ramp. I believe it may work well for vans but, with both of our cars (Chevy Malibu and Nissan Altima) the ramp does not have a level place to set it on. Our Golden Retriever tried it on both cars but it was to unsteady for her. I was very happy and a little surprised at how easy it was to return the product. This is a well built sturdy ramp and a good value. The only thing we didn't like is the surface is still slippery even with the yellow rubber grip strips. We made it MUCH better by covering the entire ramp surface with black ultra grip shelf liner material and we simply used spray adhesive and put 2 layers of the shelf liner on the ramp for a SUPER grippy, soft walking surface for our 13 year old lab. When we first bought the ramp she freaked because she slid up and down the ramp, now she confidently walks up and down it with ease. My 110lb dog has a degenerative neurological condition that has been impacting his control of his back legs, in particular. We have to drive him to grassy spots for walks because he drags his back feet and this ramp has worked wonders in helping us get him in and out of the car. I've only had it about a month but it is exactly what I needed. I like that it is fiberglass so I can leave it outside in the weather where I park my SUV. It seems durable and well made. The ramp grip material is very well adhered to the ramp. That and the fact that it is reasonably wide give the dogs a feeling of safety and control when using it. I don't expect the construction or grip material to deteriorate much over time. The ramp adjusts easily (by extentention, not by folding like some models) but stays as adjusted once you find the extension that works for you. Although I'm working with the dogs on an "exiting routine" (we just switched from a truck where the door opened and they could immmediately jump out), they took to the ramp with minimal training. As far as construction goes, this seems to be sturdy. It's plenty strong enough to hold my 105lb. dog. My only complaint in construction is that there is no lock to hold it open or closed. It just slides out and back in. Seems like it might be a little more secure with some kind of lock mechanism.My dog had no problem walking back and forth on it flat on the floor. The first time I tried to use it to get him in the back of my Jeep, though, he went up kind of tentatively, and he ended up sliding back down. It was a little too steep and he just couldn't grip in spite of the sandpaper-type surface. After that he didn't want to try again.So, I set it again the couch so it was at a lower angle, and we spent several days just having him walk up and down it between the floor and the couch. After that, we spent another several days with it on some carpeted stairs, bribing him to run up and down it to get food. After he got comfortable with that, we tried the car again. I still have to support him a little on the way up so he doesn't slide back, but it's definitely easier than trying to lift him to put him in the back of the truck! My jeep is 22" high and i got this ramp for my 100lb rottweiler who has both his knees operated. This ramp is perfect. My dog goes in and out of my car with no issues. This is 60" long ramp which gives it a 22 degree angle of inclination for the ramp. 18 to 22 degree is recommended for dog ramps. It also has strap to attach the end of the car. I have to use old sweats on the ramp while my dog goes up to make it less slippery. But that not big deal. Its light weight and folds which are best the features. We were excited to receive this ramp because we have a corgi and try to prevent her from jumping on and off furniture as much as possible. Unfortunately, the box arrived damaged, and the ramp’s legs are wooden, so there is a 12+ inch crack down one of the sides. It’s also awkwardly long for our bedroom and living room, so would recommend measuring your space when deciding between a ramp or stairs. On the plus side, it has a nice non-slip carpet over the surface, and the bottom of the ramp has 2 non-slip grips. This is a great solution for a 20-lb. Senior dog (who recently had some knee and leg issues) to have some autonomy with getting up and down his favorite living room sofa. This was a very disappointing purchase. As soon as it arrived on my front stoop I could tell that this unit had already been purchased, poorly repackaged, and resold without anyone ever bothering to fix the poor repackaging. Initially upon unboxing the item everything looked ok. Upon further review I found a huge crack in one main sidewall of the ramp at what would be the top of the ramp if it were in a raised position. It was then that I noticed that the ramp was made of plastic. Maybe I should have seen that in the specifications before buying. My guess is that a human genius walked on the ramp and broke it. I thing the weight rating is like 90lbs but don't quote me on that. Definitely not made for a human to walk on.surneb

The no-slip walkway was very good, BUT had to return because our 12 year old dog (90 lbs) was not willing to go that high; it was for the rear of 2019 subaru outback, seemed good quality. I got this ramp for my 10 year old dachshund rescue dog to use indoors on a short set of steps that lead to the outside door. (Just for steps). I am happy with the quality and there was nothing to assemble. Although the surface has a slight roughness, it is still too slippery for Lucy – she sort of slid down the last foot or so. I am going to cover it with carpeting using double sided carpet tape which i feel with solve the problem. Also because we are using the ramp indoors on steps I will need to secure the top edge to the landing. After that I think it will be quite adequate for her. She has some back issues and I do not want her straining herself up and down steps. I would expect this ramp to be good for medium to small dogs, it seems a bit too flexible for a dog over 40 lbs.Andrea
My jeep is 22" high and i got this ramp for my 100lb rottweiler who has both his knees operated. This ramp is perfect. My dog goes in and out of my car with no issues. This is 60" long ramp which gives it a 22 degree angle of inclination for the ramp. 18 to 22 degree is recommended for dog ramps. It also has strap to attach the end of the car. I have to use old sweats on the ramp while my dog goes up to make it less slippery. But that not big deal. Its light weight and folds which are best the features. This product worked great for our 12 year old terrier mix (18lbs) who had to have surgery after he blew his knee out. No running or jumping for 8 weeks, which was a tall order because he spends the vast majority of his time on our bed. Worked great. Gradual slope is easy for an older dog. I have a 107 lb. Shorthaired German Pointer that pretty much says I bought it I can use it. She's a rescue and very stubborn. I put little treats up the ramp and on to the bed. she jumped off the bed ate them from the side and jumped back up on the bed ate the last of the treats and looked very proud of herself. after trying all kinds of things to include trying to lift her front feet going up and going down, all to no success. We recently found out that our dog has arthritis in her knees and was unable to jump up on our bed as she liked to do. That was the reason for purchasing the ramp. It took awhile for her to get used to the ramp, but eventually I was able to get her to walk on it. I think it is a great product. I purchased it for my 10 year old Pit Bull. He goes up the ramp but will not go down the ramp. I have enticed him with treats, steak, his favorite cookie & nothing works. He will not come down it. He weighs 75 pounds so it is hard to pick him up. I do not know what to do.
