I've been buying this for years. It does do a pretty good job at preventing razor bumps and ingrowns. But so would rubbing alcohol, which is literally the main ingredient. I never bothered to look at the ingredient list before. If I had I would've stopped using this a long time ago. Now I just refill it with isopropyl alcohol and it does the exact the same job. I'm quite surprised with the reviews that say this product doesn't work. For my dog, it truly was a LIFE SAVER! I've been battling with my dogs hotspots (and dry, flaky skin) off and on ever since we moved back to the Midwest, at least a year of her issues. I've tried shampoos, conditioners, a handful of trips to the vet to trial different foods, and hundereds of dollars later I honestly just gave up. I started putting alternative topical agents on her that simply gave a temporary resolution. While traveling out of town, she (Mini Schnauzer) had a really bad case, to the point where she was starting to bleed. Tea oil, hot spot spray and the above HomeoPet drops were what I returned with, after another visit to the pet store. After the first day her redness had diminshed greatly and she wasn't itching nearly as much. By two, she wasn't itching AT ALL. I decided to remove the Tea oil and spray since I'd used them in the past without long-term results. It's been a week and my schnauzer has had 3-5 drops a day, oral dose of this product and she is doing exceptional! Seriously! No redness, no scratching. Today I hadn't given her any since yesterday afternoon and she started scratching again. I gave her 3 drops and about a couple hours later, again, her scratching is gone. This product worked exceptionally on my dog. On the other hand, I don't think her issues were due to food allergies, vs environmental surroundings, my guess. I have used Happy Jack 40+ years but after moving off the farm 15 years ago forgot all about it and began using holistic medications, etc. Well, I do rescue and got a little jack russell with 70% of her body scarlet, oozie red, infected red ears, thick red, hairless legs, tail, chest and face. She had been ill for so long her skin was very thick and discolored. I spent hundred of dollars for 4 months without results then ran across Happy Jack again in the Tractor Supply. I bought mange medicine instead of the dip I had used before and, within 32 (I counted them) hours, her itching has stopped, her skin is now pink not red and her little swollen paws and now a normal size. I will continue to use according to the directions to make sure this is gone but might switch to the dip to treat her in 30 day cycles. My dog was scratching constantly causing hot spots an scratches that bled a little not to mention she had this smell that's was offensive. I tried other products and then I heard of this one from a friend, bought it and brought home and put it in a spray bottle to evenly spray her entire body (except in her ears, eyes, mouth or sanitary areas) and to my surprise I Seen instant relief for her and she was able to sleep peacefully and so was I. I also originally bought this product with the intention of using it for one of my dog’s dry skin. With that being said I have a miniature poodle with severe allergies that caused him to scratch at himself until he was bleeding and scratched off the skin in multiple location on his body. He is now medicated and is a lot better with the correct products. This product did help with his allergies minimally but did help his over all coat a lot. This product works for my incontinent 17 year old Maltese. It really holds the urine – including first morning urine. It’s a good diaper with plenty of absorption. Tends to slide off my dog but I do not consider that a flaw in the product. Well maybe the tail hole could have been set back an inch or so, so the the diaper rode higher up on her back. What I did was just made the opening a bit larger. Otherwise it’s an excellent product and I am completely satisfied. Not sure if all there pics came through but I cut the tail hole a bit bigger which helps the diaper ride higher up on her back.Mary P.
The tape fasteners have been changed and no longer keep the diaper on my dog. When she lays down, the tape unfastens and the diaper is off of her. Why why why would they go cheap on the tape fasteners??? They used to stay fastened for a long time even after taking them on and off. Will not order again.cathy6oo4

Adopted a pup who's coat was in pretty bad shape due to street life. Not only was she severely malnourished but there were certain areas on her that I was warned possibly wouldn't grow back. Nonetheless, Hills was recommended to start her off on but once I finished the sample bag I decided to try this one out due to the sensitivity and it has been 6 months now and her coat has improved tremendously. Her confidence shows more now, and the food does not give her gas at all as opposed to other brands that I've sampled. Overall a really wonderful product and I cannot wait to see what another 6 months will do for my princess.
I have an extremely fussy Australian shepherd with an extremely sensitive stomach. He would like a dry food for a while but then refuse to eat – even when we mixed it with his wet food he would spit out the dry pieces. He also has a very sensitive stomach so we didn't want to switch his food very often as that only exacerbated his issues. We tried several different brands until our Vet recommended Science Diet for sensitive stomach and skin and things have been fantastic. Wolf Husky Malamute Redbone Coonhound and Britney spaniel (I know, lol) mix dog-like service animal registered furry kids with extremely fickle diet sensitivities. They'll eat anything, but one of them sheds like crazy when the food isn't good and the other has a whole spectrum of gnarly issues from sometimes even very expensive brands. This is my most successful high water mark middle ground. It's affordable more than I realized as it lasts me longer than cheaper stuff as the cheaper stuff the dogs won't stop eating, pooping, repeat. I'm assuming it's because of nutrient deficiency in the food that they're seeking or perhaps the fillers in the formula isn't filling them. Anyway, I'm spending the same but they're eating less but doing more. No more diet issues. No more phantom injuries or soreness or weird allergy apparent skin problems… No more super stanky dinosaur dumps! Between this and the canned stuff from same formula I'm seeing something close to the ideal version of my babies. Definitely happy. Definitely recommending. Plus I've read lots about grain free actually being dangerous and causing severe heart problems for dogs. They're omnivores, some grains are needed in their diet. I'd accept grain free arguments for cats but in dogs, nah. It's an upsell that's misleading. My boxer had been in antibiotics multiple times for pioderma. A spot on her tail never grew back and stayed bald and recently a spot on her back came back and it looks like elephant skin because it had no for and was actually progressing up her back. Instead of trying an anabiotic this time somebody recommended this product and after three days her hair started growing back and I only applied at once no joke and I don't even usually believe in leaving reviews. I received the chews and immediately gave my puppy 2 of them. She really liked them, she itches. most of the time. But the vet says she needs some type of injection to stop it completely. I don't like to give my puppy any shots but her yearly Injection for rabies. After a week of giving her 2 chews per day as per the instructions I've noticed a big reduction in the amount of her itching. She likes to eat them so apparently they must taste pretty good. Wife found young cat in drain at work. She took it home. A few weeks ago she got underneath vehicle and jumped down while we were driving down the street. She had her tail and rear end run over. We took her to the vet, she was bleeding heavy. They patched her up and gave her meds, sent her home and said see if she makes it. Thankfully she is making a recovery, but she is not able to lift her tail or control her bladder or ****. Wife searched online, found mostly dog diapers, but came across this site. We ordered 2ea. 3 packs after measuring cat. Package arrived quickly, and diapers looked high quality. Unfortunately we tried multiple times and ways to get diaper on. We did not have any problem getting over tail its when we tried around legs, either picking her up or trying upright. Wife and son tried to hold while I attempted to put on multiple times. All I can say is the diaper does a good job of holding my blood. We finally gave up after about the 10th time. Maybe our cat is a wild one, but she was having no part of this. I thought that since she was injured we would have no problems. Also tried when she was sleepy. I think I need to search for a cat diaper holding pen! Anyway I've got an unopened 3 pack and an opened unused 3 pack that is sitting on my table. I'm glad cat is alive, but these diapers are not for her.George P.
I bought small for my mini dachshund and medium for my beagle. Both were perfect fit. I found they are great for occasional incontinence but they wet through quickly and sag, making them very easy to slip out of. Daisy, our 16 year old beagle, wrestled her way out of them repeatedly. After some trial and error, we found the perfect solution. We use Poise pads inside the diaper (disposable pads used for human incontinency issues) and mitten clips to attach them to her harness! I'm about to order another set in the pretty fall Lodge colors. Very happy to have saved my floors and my sanity. Great product. We absolutely LOVE the Belly Bands! My 12.5 yo boy was peeing on the floor in the kitchen during the night and it made me crazy! I was about ready to start crating him at night, like I did when he was a puppy and house training. As a last ditch effort to having crates in the house again, I got the Belly Bands and Diapers, and the bands fit and work GREAT!! But the diapers in the same size, are too big and come off! Buy it. Just do it, if you’re looking at this review it’s because your dog is shedding and you’re tired of cleaning up the fur. It’s worth it. I used two other deshedding devices immediately before trying this for the first time and it removed PILES of loose fur that the other de shedders left behind. This deshedding tool has become my absolute favorite! The Furminator is a must-have for me. I have a German Shepherd, and I swear that my house, furniture, and clothes have more hair on them than she does. She sheds daily, but twice a year, she "blows" her undercoat. The fuminator has been a life-saver for me. Since I have started using this on my girl, her shedding has cut way down. I use this on her 2 or 3 times a week normally, but during the coat blowing I use it pretty much daily. It really get down into her undercoat and grabs hold of all that loose hair. My girl doesn't mind me using this on her either. Most undercoat tools seem to hurt her, but not this one…she actually seems to enjoy this one. There was only ONE tab, not two. I had to tape my diaper in order for it to stay on my dog. These diapers are the WORST diapers I’ve ever seen. The instructions and all the pictures say there’s two tabs. I had to get long pieces of clear tape and tape the side that didn’t have the tab and the side with the existing tab to make sure it wouldn’t come off. I tried to put the first one back on my dog and there were holes in it when I took it off once because I had to tape it. I’ve never seen such poor quality things. I could’ve made a diaper and it would still be better than these diapers and I’m not the crafty type. If there was a zero star option I would put that. These are absolutely horrible.Human
