Due to her weight we did have to weigh out the medicine (half a gram ='s 1/4 teaspoon), and you must have an accurate weight on the dog and an accurate measuring device for it to be as effective as it can be without giving too much. I took it from my cats. One especially has an issue with the eyes. The orange tabby has a wet eye when he eats. He is very picky so I try to hide the powder in his wet food. Let me say that this helped him a lot especially when given every day. I know that L lysine is very good for viruses. like Herpes virus and EBV. My orange tabby has herpes virus and was pretty sick when he was young. I do not know about the taste but if you have a picky cat like me better hide it in his favourite wet food. It’s very sad to share that we lost our dear Cat due to kidney stone / kidney failure just a few days ago. This is an excellent product with the best ingredients to heal (not just treat) intestinal lining problems. My girl has a bad case of IBS and was constantly crying and in horrible pain even after I put her on an organic home made diet. I bought the power version and for 3 weeks I mixed it in with her wet food as directed and did NOT do anything. Her 24×7 pain was excruciating for her and for me so I did not give up. After doing a lot of research, I realized that similar 'human' products for the same problems suppose to be given 30 minutes before meals. So, I diluted it in water and added a bit of sweat potato (for taste) and gave it to her, 30 minutes before her food, and IT WORKED! Like a miracle her pain was gone. For the first time after 3 months she was able to sleep peacefully. She is 11 lb so I give her 1/8 tsp of the powder and ¼ tsp of sweat potato (for taste) diluted in 1-2 tablespoons of water, 20 minutes before her meals, 3 times per day. I also give her probiotics, digestive enzymes, DGL(Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice), and Seacure (contains L-glutamine which repairs the mucosal lining) all mix with her food and I am happy to said she is no longer in any pain and on her way to full recovery! Just remember if you get the power version dilute it in water first (you don't have to do that with the liquid version) AND please give it 20 minutes BEFORE meals if your dog is in bad shape like mine.Loving pet owner

My Bichon has inflammatory bowel disease which has caused loose stools sometimes with blood. I tried changing her food, but she still had bouts of it. She has also been very uncomfortable a few times when she had an episode of it. Since I started giving her the Colon Rescue 2-3 times daily she has had only one or two short episodes of diarrhea. Since using FortiFlora, most of his issues have been resolved. He loves the flavor. I believe it's beef and it's so easy to give it to him. First an introduction to Barnie the bichon… He’s 13 years young with one, heart failure and osteoarthritis. Bert is old and has a few gas issues. Well a lot of gas issues really and sharing a room with him is sometimes not so much fun. The Purina Pro Plan Forti Flora sachets have made a huge difference to his gut issues and his enjoyment of eating. There is now much less tummy grumbling and much less gas. The sachets are so easy to mix with his normal wet food and Bert enjoys eating it. My dog ate this willingly only twice. I've even dipped it meat juice & he will not eat it. If I crush it in his food he rejects the whole bowl. He is not picky at all. so these must taste pretty bad. They are very dry. no idea if they work or not, can't see results if he won't eat them. I can assume the ingredients are medicinal. I have intentionally waited to write a review because I wanted to give enough time to see if the Fidoplex was going to make a difference. My Senior dog 12 year old pug, has IBD Irritable Bowel Disease, secondary to Pancreatitis. I have been giving him Fruitables Digestible Pumpkin in his food for the past three years. I use just a dollop or two. When he has a flair up I add a little bit more to his diet. He is however on Prescription Hills ID wet and dry so I mix the two then add the pumpkin. I always add a bit of water…. My little guy rarely scoots anymore, but does have to get his glands expressed every other month which is typical for the breed. I stand behind this product. Pumpkin off the shelf at the grocery may be cheaper but this is specifically developed for our four legged friends. Pumpkin on the shelf is for pies. My dog loves the taste. The shelf life is great, but after opened you have 7 days. If you won't use on a daily,you can put in ice trays with water and make pup pops. I’ve always had the hardest time getting my dog to take medicine. Cheese didn’t work, peanut butter didn’t work, pill pockets, nothing ever worked. She would eat around the pill and spit it back out. Now that she’s older and having a few health issues, she’s on multiple pills daily and I was looking to find something that would help make it easier. I bought this because I figured it was worth a try because it’s decently priced but I had pretty much already written it off as not going to work. Imagine my surprise when it did!! And still is!! I cannot praise this Pillmasker enough! It is a total lifesaver what comes to giving so many pills to my 2 older huskies. I use this for not only their medical pills, but also for vitamins and supplements and they cannot wait to get a taste of this dough. And it hides any size of a pill, big ones, small ones, what ever size of a pill. I couldn't do without this Pillmasker….I highly recommend it! I was reluctant to get this when it sys fits all pill sizes and it comes in a 4 OZ container. It is an entirely new concept on hiding pills., Instead of a preformed pocket to put the pill in you create it. I opened the container and what I found was one big round ball much like play-dough. What a simple idea. My large dog takes 4 pills every morning and we may be able to mask the first few but after that it is a struggle with the old single pill pockets. With this I was able to take two at a time (I probably could do all 4 but if he spits it out it would be very messy) roll enough dough around it that he was more than happy to eat it. The dough is a little bit thicker than peanut butter so it is pliable and will hide the pills well.zukus
