I've tried the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Anti fungal Spray for Dogs and Cats on a few of our outside cats. They've been deflead but one still kept scratching and losing fur just above her tail. I'm not sure if it's an allergic reaction to the fleas or if it's the result of a thyroid problem. But we tried this spray and the itching stopped immediately. It's been almost 3 weeks and she still isn't scratching it. I also wanted to try this on some ringworm that a few of the outside cats have. I've been spraying this on for almost 3 weeks now but haven't really seen any improvement with the ringworm spots that I'm treating. Ringworm can respond slow to treatments anyway so I'm not sure if this is going to help with that or not. The spray is a pump and it has a light citrus smell, kind of like oranges. It will not harm your pet if they lick it. It didn't list a minimum age that you can use it on. It contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Keratin, and Aloe Vera. It's listed as an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial. To use this you just spray the area tell really wet, twice daily for a week, then once daily for another week. I read the reviews for this product but was still a bit skeptical for it to actually work. One of my cats (2 yr old orange tabby) literally scratched the size of a 50 cent bare spot (literally overnight) in center of his back below shoulder blade. By the end of the day the circle was warm red inflamed and gross. Being on a tight budget I did my research for home remedies. First I began applying a year old vet prescribed Dermalone antibiotic that was prescribed for one of my other cats for 3 days but area got worse. Then began applying Neosporin for 2 days lightly on and around scab now and ( luckily the spot was where he could not reach to lick off) and it did nothing as well. A week later purchased this product, followed the directions and a week later the area was completed healed. Scab dried and fell off and new skin looks perfect and normal. Unfortunately I dont know what this was for did not take him to a vet. Infected area did resemble pictures of ringworm online. My cat has had repeated uti's involving emergency vet visits and a lot of stress. When the antibiotic wears off, the infection returns. I was at Petco on Sunday and saw this product and decided to buy it in case there was another infection. My cat had a crisis 2 days later with very extreme symptoms. I gave her 5 drops and noticed no change. So I did it again in 15 minutes and she began to calm down. Then she sat quietly for awhile and then went upstairs to sleep under my bed for the rest of the day. The next day she acted like nothing had happened. I was amazed! While I am not really one to normally write a review, I research other reviews diligently and thought it was time I started- especially to brag on this product and hopefully help someone else. Case: Mittens is a 3 year old female never with any previous UTI issues, Food: ate frisky crunchies and was happy, Fast forward to 2 months ago- she started with always being wet on her bottom. It kind of threw me off because I thought it could be a problem with her rear and not bladder, it progressed to constant going in litter box and barely having anything come out. Through this time 700. was spent at vet, ultrasounds, urinalysis' , lab testing, all showing nothing but antibiotics were administered as it was obvious something was wrong. The vet was insistent about stress thought I was skeptical as absolutely zero had changed in our household and buying the 50. food just was not an expense I was ready to do at that moment. The antibiotics has slight improvement but never fixed the issue. Mittens also has to be put under aneasthesia every time we go as she is very sweet, but not a good patient. During this time I was also an my witts end not wanting to put her thru another battery of testing and my house issue. In that I mean everywhere she went she would leave wet spots and a terrible smell which simply could not go on. I had to administer via wet food because a syringe simply does not work with her. My cat is almost 7yrs of age and never before had any health issues until one day, I saw him spotting in the litter box. I have had prostate problems for many years. It started with a high PSA test which changed to an enlarged prostate. I do not like to take prescription medication if I can avoid it so I did a lot of research to find something natural. I found that tests have proven high doses of Saw Palmetto extract works the best, so I started taking it and found within a year my PSA had dropped 4 points. I was very happy. Recently, the company that I was getting it from quit producing it. At the same time, I was offered to try Therabotanics Ideal Prostate Plus Ultra Support Supplement. It claims to be a powerful prostate supplement for men with natural prostate relief from saw palmetto, beta sitosterol, lycopene, zinc, horsetail and vitamin D3. Once I received the Therabotanics Ideal Prostate Plus product I started reading the ingredients. The top 3 ingredients have nothing to do with prostate problems. It has Vitamin D3 11mcg. I take 250mcg a day already for bone and immune health. The next is Zinc 30mg. I take 50mg a day for immune support. And the third main ingredient is Copper 3mg. Not any help for anything. The Saw Palmetto listed on the bottle is mixed with other ingredients and the whole percentage is so low they do not even list the number of mg that is in the capsules. I also looked up the price for this product. The bottle of sixty capsules is very expensive. I was paying about an eighth of the price for a bottle of 200 capsules which each contained 450mg of saw palmetto extract. I am very disappointed in this product. I have seen no relief taking it and the expense is unreal.TXLawman
At time of writing this review I have been taking this supplement for two weeks. I don’t have any medical issues with my bladder or prostate, but at my age I do have the common if I wake up in the night I must get up and visit the bathroom. Also, if I drink anything other than plain water during the day, I do get a noticeable sudden urgency. The big question is have they helped? And I’m going to say yes, they have. With the caveat that I have only been taking them for two weeks, I have noticed a difference. I already had the vitamin D3, Zinc and Copper in my supplement regime so I’m going to put the benefits mostly down to the natural ground plant and bark ingredients. Full disclosure, I’m a great believer in natural over synthetic supplements so seek botanics where I can. They are made with natural ingredients; I personally had no digestive issues with them, and they appear to help. The vitamin and minerals are helpful for other parts of your body too. The only downside is if you don’t swallow those capsules instantly they are not the nicest tasting. Just remember these are supplements and not cures for any medical condition.Texan1965
I have an urgency problem with my bladder that I was hoping this may help. I have researched a bit and found out that Saw Palmetto and Beta Sitoserol have shown some effectiveness with this condition. Ideal Prostate Plus has both of these ingredients. I have noticed that other highly advertised products have one but not the other. I have run the 30 day trial using one bottle to see if there was any difference. I have been careful to give this an honest try and have been drinking large amounts of water to see if there is any change. After one month I can note a slight improvement in that I can feel the need to urinate coming on a bit sooner and offering much better warning than I have experienced lately. I feel more in control. So is it a miracle cure? Not yet but maybe after another bottle the results will be even more noticeable. I suggest you give it a try and see how it effects your body. I think if I continue usage it just might help with my urgency problem. P.S. Note that I have tried prescription products for the same condition and stopped due to the side effect of retrograde ejaculation which is something I didn't want to live with.Rich

Helped my pup with her ear infection. But it came back two months later. So instead I googled and found that if I got Monistat and Hydrocortisone (equal parts) and applied it to the outer ear affected then thinned it out with some water and dropped it into her ear, it was just as good.

I clean my cocker's ears every 7 to 10 days with ear wash and use the non-alcohol canine ear wipes a couple of times a week for maintenance but every few months she'll get stinky, yeasty ears. My vet has prescribed several different treatments but none have worked as well as the Surolan drops. On day 3 she stopped scratching and rubbing them and by day 4 the smell was completely gone. After the 7 day treatment was completed I cleaned them out really good and to my surprise there was very little discharge. Note – Please use 2x/day for 7-full days…don't stop the treatment when there's improvement.
My dog had a really bad ear infection and was shaking her head non stop for hours until we got her to the vet. Angel is a 12 year old dog we rescued when she was about 2 years old. She's probably a rat terrier. She began taking Rimadyl after a fall on the ice this winter that caused a ligament to tear away from her knee. However, the x-rays showed that her hips were full of arthritis, which we already thought they were because she wasn't moving much anymore at all.
