Perfect for what I needed them for! I use these for cat food and water under a counter. I have two side by side, one with the water dish and one with the dry food. They fit perfectly (rather than sticking out as my last trays did), so now we can walk normally in front of the counter without having to step over the trays. And I don't have to worry about the water dish over flowing, because I know that the water will be captured in the tray and not end up all over my new floor! The tray has a small edge, about an inch tall. The tray isn't as thick as the boot tray I was using, but it still works fine. I did not buy this as a replacement for a dog crate! My elderly cat had began urinating on one spot of carpet. I began using disposable pads but was worried about the urine soaking through to the carpet while I was at work. I bought this when my dogs tray began cracking and definitely needed to be replaced. The price wasn’t awful at hand but in comparison to the crate, it’s a bit much for a tray in my opinion. It was $20 for the tray when her crate was only $40. Seems a bit steep for a piece of plastic to sit on. Other than the price, it’s great. Light weight, easy to clean and remove. It fit perfectly into her crate and now she can sleep happy again 🙂Zoeybelle921
I did not buy this as a replacement for a dog crate! My elderly cat had began urinating on one spot of carpet. I began using disposable pads but was worried about the urine soaking through to the carpet while I was at work. After cleaning the carpet I put this down and covered it with a machine washable/reusable pee pad. This works perfectly for what I needed. When I change the pee pad I just wipe this pan off with an antibacterial wipe.Mustangsally0123
My Dog has identified that where the Logo is stamped is this products weakest point. Because She has tore through the Logo twice now in the past 3 months. I know pets are and expense but not because of inferior products. Get Rid of the Logo!!! No one wants to spend $20 to $30 dollars on something that lasts only 1 to 2 months under my Dog and a lifetime in the landfill.Craig24

I have the double critter nation cage and have been looking to replace the mid level pan for years. Chinchillas love to chew and the pan was a ready source for chewing pleasure. Searching the internet wasn't working so I called the cage manufacturer. Their price was over $70 for this one item. Yikes! They did steer me toward the Ferret.com site where I found just what I was looking for at a much better price. Not only did the pan fit the cage perfectly, I received my order the next day! I did my due diligence before I ordered this product and found for the size and measurements of this crate that it was the best deal I was able to find online and in stores locally. Unfortunately when I was unfolding it the corner of the black tray in the bottom broke off. The wire is a bit flimsy, but for the price I guess it’s not bad. Some of the edges of the wire are sharp like they were only cut or snipped off rather than rounded. when I spend $100 I like to assume what I am ordering will be a high quality, but it was cheaper than all the others so I can’t really complain especially taking into consideration that the quality of just about everything these days is not great like it used to be! I guess that’s change though. Overall I am happy with this product and my 88-pound Bluetick Coonhound hasn’t broken it yet.Terry S.
My wife and I are searching for our own little dog. I have some experience with crate training. I raised two Yellow Labrador's from pups and helped my daughter in crate training her Malti-Poo. Being crate trained is essential to having a happy, well adjusted pet and also to having a clean home that is free of the damage that pets can do, when left on their own. Even something as simple as going to work every day and leaving the dog to their own devices can cause big problems. Dogs go through severe separation anxiety and can destroy your home. Not to mention pooping and peeing everywhere. My daughter's dog is well trained (you're welcome). The dog knows that her kennel is her safe place, her refuge. But, because I didn't get to start training the dog till she had already developed some bad habits, I still have to change her bedding every day. I am just grateful that she doesn't do her business anywhere else in the house.Now, about this 'i-Crate' from Mid-West. This is a very well thought out SYSTEM. Not just a crate. The crate itself is well designed and constructed. The welded wire construction is strong and durable. The black enamel paint job and will endure a lot of abuse. The pan is a good quality, durable plastic pan that is deep enough to contain the dogs bedding and any 'mistakes' the dog can make. It's also very easy to clean. The pan can be removed without going into the crate. It slides out one end. The doors have good latches that the dog will not be able to manipulate (yes, some dogs are that smart). Standing the crate up and breaking it down is very simple and quick. Aside from the basic crate, the accessory panel does help to prevent the dog from using their crate as a potty, by keeping the space small enough that they can't 'go' far enough from where they sleep to keep them comfortable. And, the panel is easily moved to expand their 'room' as they grow. The system comes with an online tutorial on how to properly crate train your dog, along with some other great tips on helping keep your dog happy and healthy. You can even request a DVD, if the online version is not convenient enough. This was a good purchase. I'm very comfortable with giving it five stars.
This could have killed my German Shepherd! She heard fireworks and panicked and opened the bottom latch of the cage door. I can't believe I didn't read the reviews before buying this. I thought it was just like my other one i previously purchased but it's not! The closures on the previous one has L shaped pins for a secure closure. THIS CAGE IS AWFUL and should NOT be used for larger stronger dogs! Pics soon! Cheap material, horrible!LSP-Lori
