My husband and I got a puppy from the pound. She was only 2 months old when we brought her home. Using this crate for the first year help us keep our home intact! she would only be put in the crate when we were gone, that way we knew she was safe and not getting into trouble chewing furniture or peeing in the house. those two door design is fantastic! So easy to get them in and out. She loved her crate like a second home. We added blankets and toys, food and water and there was plenty of room for our little Savannah….even now when she weighs about 60 pounds she still fits comfortably.jay.m

I have two of this size (one door model). I have had these things for ohhh, 10 years…I raised three rotty's in them and kept various rescues of all animal kinds in them until I could get them off to rescue people over the years. They did duty in the barn area for poultry for most of the last 6 years and got messed on all over the place, were damp in the winter and were used like tables with a board on top. Ended up with another rescue that might stay…looked at em all poultry encrusted and dusty and cobwebby and shook my head thinking they're done. They have been through the wringer the last 6 years. I realized I really don't have the money to buy new so decided to try to clean them up as a futile attempt to not have to buy more. I had to at least try. 2 hours ,a bucket of warm soapy water, a scrubby , washcloth and a hose later…OMG. They cleaned up GREAT. The handles of the latches were slightly slightly rusty here or there where the black coating flaked off (about the only place it has flaked off and then only small spots), the metal tubes that connects the panels together a little dull, pitted and slightly rusty here or there and that is IT! They still work just fine and they look award winning good considering where they have been. If not for the latches and the connector pieces they could pass as gently used items despite what they have been through. So essentially, if you want a solid, quality crate that is priced reasonably and WORTH every darn penny….go with precision crates. One precision crate could very likely last you all of your adult life if you stayed with the same size dog. As it is now we have the two x lrgs, 1 mediumish, and 2 for 30 lbs or less dogs. And because I am so impressed with what I have,….I'm going to be buying this X-lrg 2 door version to fit in a spot where a single door crate won't work in my house. Remember- Don't throw away an extra crate that is in working order, donate it to someone who can't afford a crate or find a rescue group that needs it (crates are good for lots of different animals).Windchyme

Finally, after buying several different brands that boasted 5-stars ratings and returning each one because of its sharp, unfinished wire ends/edges, this one arrived! No sharp edges! It is too small for my dog. I thought I order a large size, but this us the M size. This kind of dog taxi carrier is very stirdy. I had three in my house, because I love this style of crate. My dogs love them too. highly recommended! Strong and secured. Inside can put a sift mat! the dogs love it. Alas it is too small, but i already have a friend's extra large crate. Otherwise I will keep it. but my big dog us very old and need a bigger one.Jung

I got this yesterday in a pick up order. When I got home and put it together I noticed that one of the post for screws was broken. I was able to still use it instead of dragging it back to the store for a return. But I’m disappointed because you pay almost 100 for something that is already damaged. I just wish that things were inspected better before being put on shelves. There has been many times broken and expired products are still being sold and on the shelves.Jiggy8503

This crate was amazing for the first couple of weeks. Then our small mixed breed power chewer with separation anxiety was able to chew 2 large holes in the side of it. He's only spent about 40 hours total in it. I dont work, so he only spends a couple of hours at a time on the weekends in it. The rest of the time, its just his "bedroom". One of the holes he chewed is large enough foe him to stick his head through. Looks like we will be looking into the gray ones with the really small holes and military grade plastic. IF YOUR PUP IS A CHEWER AND HAS ANXIETY DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS CRATE. THEY WILL BE ABLE TO EAT EIGHT THROUGH IT. I wish we had saved the money used on this crate and put it towards the other type. Metal crates don't work either. He was able to bend the metal, push the tray out and walk out of the crate within seconds of us leaving. We've had this crate for about 3 or 4 months now. Not worth the 90 dollars.NeuroticNero

Some dogs just don't quite fit into the size charts in the way other dogs do. Our dog Angel, a mountain cur, is one of those dogs. Weight wise, Angel is comfortably in the medium category but she's tall and lanky so she always had to hunch over in her medium crate. This larger crate is a perfect height for the needed room. While the width and depth is nearly enough to also add our smaller dog as well, it works great for Angel.Terri M.

We bought this product mostly because of the vertical lift feature of the door hinge and the two-door access options which is great for all sorts of configurations (against different walls, corners etc). We like the size and customizable interior of the XL crate for our growing puppy (husky/shepard mix). This is definitely an at home crate vs. care crate. The only issue we have is that compared to our first crate (same company, large single door, 2 locks) is that this crate is very rattly. We crate our dog during sleeping hours and every time he kicks in his sleep or adjusts, it makes a clangy metallic sound that wasn't expected. Would not recommend for the bedroom but would recommend overall.SanFrannylou

I used these crates to transport my 3 months old baby goats. I had two of them and it worked nicely. Will be using it again in three weeks when I have to pick up more goats. There was plenty of room. I usually use one for my dog. He is a medium size and has plenty of room to walk around in and for water and food. Easy to open and close. For the goats it was nice to have the side door facing back, that way we were easily able to put goats it. At first I thought I will never use the side door. But when placing the two crates on back of truck, two door makes loading the goats a lot easier. Product is well made, sturdy and bottom can quickly be pulled out to clean without having to drag the whole cage to clean it.Victoria MEB

Great value for the money. This crate was easy to get out of the box and unfold into shape. There were two areas to pop out, and that was it! We bought this for our 5mo GSD who is already 60# and quite active while he sleeps ( Flips around a LOT ) Besides the occasional rattle, this has held our little guy without issues. We mainly use the side door as the in/out for our pup. On this extra large model it is located towards the front of the crate instead of exactly in the middle. The only thing that makes this a little hard is that it is heavy. We only crate now at night until he becomes less fascinated with our cats, but this has held up nicely when one wants to walk by sit and take a bath infront of a very excited puppy who wants to play 24/7. This also looks to be easy to refold back up and store for future use after our pup graduates to sleeping in our room at night. Overall quite satisfied with this purchase.JenKKY

Was larger than I thought. I had one at home and thought this was the same size. Wish they had medium on display so I could have envisioned the size of the one I bought. Good price for what I bought. At home I had difficulty setting up the crate. Keep in mind, I had and used the smaller crate for over 10 years. One of the end piece hooks had overlapped on a side wall and would not release to allow me to open set up the crate. It was difficult to access with a long flat tip screw driver. After about 25 minutes, I was able to get the side released. The larger crate doesn't appear to be as sturdy as the smaller crate. The instructions illustrations need to be about 200% larger for folks who have never assembled one of these before. There are no instructions on how to install the divider fence. Overall I value the purchase. Bigger than I needed, but for short periods of time, I can probably put both my dogs in the one crate, especially where floor space limits to only one crate.LWH2

Bought this as a second crate to keep in my upstairs bedroom as I was getting sick of carrying my main (heavy) crate up and down the stairs every day. Super easy to put together and the puppy divider goes in quickly and easily as well. I love that I can put it anywhere in the crate to work for my puppy. I got the small size for my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and it's the perfect size, especially with the included divider, which I need as he is only 3 months old.Sara

This dog crate is amazingly perfect! it's the perfect size for my medium sized Frenchie. there's enough room for him to spread out 100% to lay down & to stay away from his puppy pad when it's used. The two door entry makes it super easy for him to use. It's definitely large in length than it is in height which makes it spacious. This crate is the perfect size for our 6 lb yorkie. He has room to move but not too much room. He performs many activities in this crate though so don't worry about it being small… he throws food out the side like a Rockstar, lifts his leg and pees out the side (cause when you gotta go you gotta go!), sticks his paw out and wrangles my kids socks inside where he promptly chews them up, he sings (aka barks and howls), and his favorite thing to do is baby his entire food dish under a blanket! I mean who would ever want to leave?! The whole 10 minutes he spends in there he has a wonderful time! I highly recommend it! I will say though that after a year of using it, the latches are getting hard to open. That's really my only complaint, but still five stars!Mom2three

The medium size I got was a lot bigger than I thought which is a wonderful surprise. I’ve split it into 2 and the double doors make it possible. I am currently training my little pup to use the other side as a bathroom as he weathers his first Chicago winter. Love it! And the great thing is the large window on the side is able to be tucked in the top to keep one side always open. The other smaller door doesn’t tuck on the top but that doesn’t bother me because that door is against the wall and not an issue at all. Quality seems great. Have had it for a few weeks and I love it. And so does my lil 10lb pup in his medium crate (but it’s large for him!). I love Petco. So sorry I can’t give this kennel a 5 star rating. Love the style. Purchased “large” size for 40 pound female lab/hound mix, 17 months young; fit perfectly (even 75 pound male “cousin” slept curled up a couple of times, for novelty). She’s not perfectly kennel/crate trained. Visiting our daughter & didn’t want dog to run around unsupervised. 1st time used kennel successfully for a few hours. 2nd time unfortunately used a lot longer. She was observed on camera chewing/pulling on rear end and pushing way out of bottom (latched) small front door. She got minor abrasions on cheek and paw; was a TIGHT SQUEEZE out. MOST UNFORTUNATE! Ughhhh; other purchasers had reported wire weaknesses, but I truly wanted to believe that my dog wouldn’t be strong enough. I will talk to customer service now. We have a growing 7 month-old newfypoo so needed to upgrade our crate to a larger size. I chose this crate for 2 specific reasons: #1, the height and #2, the top-folding door on the side of the crate. My newfypoo needed the additional height so he isn't hunched over if he's sitting up. The height on this size has given him an inch or two of extra clearance and should still work when he's done growing. For the 2nd point, I LOVE the top-folding side door. Because of where we keep the crate, we only use the side door and it has been awesome not having to walk around a door that opens to the side and is in the way of the main flow of traffic. Even though the crate is noticeably bigger than our old one, it feels like it takes up the same amount of space because of that door. I can't speak highly enough of it. For more practical items, the crate is very sturdy and well made. There were no problems with shipping and other than needing a little muscle, the crate went together very easily. My newfypoo isn't one that will try to escape from a crate, so I can't speak to that, but I have been very impressed with the quality of this crate and how easy it was to get my big-little puppy used to it. I bought to take my new cat to the vet. He was only 9 lbs at the time so I assumed it would be more than enough for him. Upon bringing him home it literally fell apart and he got loose outside and had to be chased down. I followed the little instructions there were, latched and tightened everything the was to tighten and it still fell apart. And even when the 2 halves stay together the door never stays in place, complete waste of money!Stepcutie

This is a great crate. It folds up when not in use. It was a great value for the price. My dog is a German Shepard/Lab mix, so she's a big girl. She loves lounging around in it throughout the day. I would likely buy another one if needed for a new dog. I took away one star because when left locked inside, while I'm gone, she was able to easily destroy the bottom plastic tray. Now she's just got tons of blankets in there, but it would have been nice if the tray would have been stronger.kimmy.l

I bought this for my dog and was a little skeptical that he would still be in this crate when I returned because he is super smart and great at escaping. However, when I got home he hasn't escaped and there was absolutely no damage to the crate. This was a fairy decent small pet kennel. I use it for transporting a car. Seems sturdy but I might not trust to lift small dogs that are on the heavy side. The door hinge occasionally comes out of its post when you open or close it but it's easy enough to put back in.prankmunky13

I needed a carrier and saw this online. There were 2 left. I went in to get one. None of the carriers of any size were boxed. I only saw one and looked it over with the size of carrier I wanted in mind. It seemed to be the right size, so I took it to the cashier. On the way home, I saw a black plastic patch on the hood hanging open. I tried to close it, heard a crack and discovered one of the tabs on the patch had completely broken off. On closer inspection at home, I discovered that there were supposed to be 2 plastic patches on the hood with 3 tabs each. Under these, the hood is indented as though these are places for storage or something. So, now I have a broken patch in one spot and no patch at all in the other spot on the hood. The kennel itself was easy to assemble, seems sturdy enough, and is the size I wanted, so I think I will keep the kennel, but I wish manufacturers wouldn't add bells and whistles to their products if the bells and whistles are only going to break and fall off. This item was not on sale or on clearance, so I am disappointed in the quality.Valuhunter

This is not the crate I ordered. First of all it is blue not red. Secondly I ordered this one as it shows clips on the sides to disassemble quickly to place in the trunk of car. No clips but many small nuts to assemble.Kathleen

DO NOT BUY!!! Our puppy was sleeping in her kennel when she woke up whining in pain. Come to find out one of the wires were loose and she got it stabbed through her paw pad. I’m beyond mad at this point. Highly don’t recommend. If you already own it make sure to check all wires are properly welded to the kennel. You can barely see some blood on her fur and she won’t let me look at it more. Thankfully we just happen to have a vet appointment today. I hope this doesn’t prevent my dog from her training and be scared to go in. Do better vibrant pets.Oakleigh

There are so many issues with these crates I don’t even know where to begin. We didn’t just get one and have it malfunction, every single crate is horrible. We have 6 currently and they are all destroyed in one way or another. First off is the metal, it breaks so easily!! My dog broke off a metal bar up top, my sisters dog has ripped off multiple bars, one bar broke and pierced right through her paw pad, she ripped off another bar on the door and ripped one off the bottom. And the bottom part of the crate is horrible!! It looks sturdy but in reality it’s this incredibly flimsy plastic material that is easily ripped apart so now our dogs don’t have bottoms for their crates🤦🏻‍♀️ Our dogs are also no older than a year, 4 of them still being puppies with the youngest being 6 months and they managed too easily destroy these crates. Another issue we have is they do not stay up! They are collapsible crates and two of our puppies have learned how too collapse the back of the crate and escape so we’ve now had too tie them off. Overall these crates are horrible, highly dangerous and a complete waste of money.Justine Farnan

This cage came bent up like something heavy was sitting on it. Also the bottom lock on the cage looks stretched out. For $78 this cage seems extremely flimsy. I wish I would’ve went with a plastic crate instead. This was definitely not worth $78 . However customer service said the store will contact me tomorrow to deliver a non damaged cage and pick up this one. When someone is customer service gives their word, from my experience with walmart they do not follow through. Then when you call back the next person has no idea what you’re talking about and apologizes that you have misinformation. I hope they come tomorrow like I was advised. However I would return this cage for a crate instead. The quality sucks. I should’ve went to unleashed or petco or ordered from Amazon. Instead I was being cheap at Walmart so I guess this is my fault and you get what you pay for….sort of anyway….Tiffany

I bought this 42” crate for an English Cream Golden Retriever puppy that we brought home at 8 weeks old. First night in our home, she went right in the crate and laid down. So for young puppies or small dogs, use the divider until the puppy is crate trained and/or needs more space. Ours is now almost 6 months old and still has never had an accident in her crate. I only used the divider for about two months because my puppy got big, very quickly. This crate is so easy to set up, collapse and take with you on a trip. It’s kind of heavy as all crates are but very manageable and so worth it. You can’t beat this price either! It is well made, affordable, has two doors to choose from depending on how you have it set up. I purchased a crate cover which creates a den like special place for my dog when we leave the house now while we sleep overnight. I also purchased basic crate beds, which are machine washable, light weight and durable. I would buy again and highly recommend this crate for crate training.AC

This dog crate is great! It’s sturdy but not too heavy. That’s important for me because of taking my Sassy girl around with me for traveling and vet appointments. If I put the empty cage in our truck, she’ll jump right in there. There is plenty of room for her to move around and get comfortable. It’s nice that it has the divider. She’s already house trained but it would have been handy for that purpose. My daughter has a mid sized Rottweiler that we can use the divider for too. They get along really well but it’ll give them their own areas if needed. I like the latch system. It makes it really hard to not latch it correctly which means less escaping. Then to open it you just have to lift and slide. I love the.two door feature. It gives you twice the options if you have to put it against a wall or walls.Onebusymama

This dog crate was a complete lifesaver at the holidays! My sister brought her two large dogs to my mom's for Christmas and they are about 50 pounds each and both fit comfortably in this at different times to calm them down. It literally sets up from the box to a working crate within minutes. It is sturdy and comes with a divider inside if you need to keep two animals separate or comes right out if you don't need it. It is super roomy inside and we added the orthopedic cushion in the bottom of the crate for maximum comfort for the dogs. This has been the easiest kennel I've ever set up right out of the box. My family has been recommending this brand Of kennel cage to all of our animal friends. Sturdy, affordable and doggie approved! Best crates ever made!! Have been wanting one for my young Border Collie I've started doing Agility with. We had wire crates in my car, but they just weren't as safe and secure. She started not liking to ride as much due to the slight rocking of the wire crate. Like many folks, she goes everywhere I go, so I thought I'd try this crate, and a pad. My vet recommended a thundershirt and meds.But I didn't want to go that route. It solved all her issues and mine! SO happy I ordered this crate and from LL Bean. For reference I drive a Subaru Forester. My dog is 37 lbs and this is perfect for her. Also the beautiful color matches my black interior. Great kennel, ordered a medium for a 30lb long legged dog, probably a touch small. Dog has been a kennel DESTROYER! We have gone through 8 kennels. It’s been 2 weeks, she has been able to chew the inside a bit on the inside corners but not too bad. She was able to pop the door open once and gnaw on the front but I think that due to a child not closing the door completely. All in all pleased with the kennel. So happy with this purchase. Crate fits so nicely in my Grand Cherokee L. I put the single seat down in the 3rd row and I can still use the entire second seating row and the double 3rd row seat. Sturdy but lightweight, quiet, easy to maneuver, good ventilation. My 4 month old WPG is happy (and safe). I’m hoping that she stays petite enough that it works for us for years to come.AImlach

My active Doberman is recovering from a spinal injury and needs to be confined. This pen is perfect. The quality is top-notch, with plenty of clear and illustrated instructions that are really not even necessary as it's so simple to set up. My one and only quibble is that the box opened nearly the full length of the side during shipping. I think the packing tape gave way. All parts were intact and nothing was damaged so just FYI. I'm now going to buy another one of these for the back yard. I was going to transport this one in and out rather than spend the money since it's (I'm hoping) not a life-long need, but while it's so easy to fold and move, it is pretty heavyweight (42") so it'd be a bit of a chore for me to do often. She's never been a jumper, especially not now, and I don't leave her alone outside so I could easily go with a lower height that's less expensive and more portable (keep in the shade) for the yard.jacy

I like Midwest products as the metal seems to be stronger and last longer than other brands. I have the original ex-pen I bought around 1995 – it's survived 50+ large dogs. I prefer them to crates as the dogs have more room to move around, yet they are easily configured to a smaller shape when potty training. They easier to clean than crates. They fold flat and I can store them next to a fridge or behind a furnace. They work indoors/out and are great mobile containment. For dogs living in fenceless areas (condos) ex-pens can be linked using carabiners/bolt snaps (i.e., dog leash clips) for fencing moveable for mowing/snow removal. They are great for patio surrounds. You can buy metal tops for if a dog needs more containment, but most won't if using a tall enough ex-pen. I've also bought just the metal or plastic crate pans to put under the ex-pen if needed. To keep the ex-pen from falling or being moved if I have a rambunctious pup I bungee the corners to furniture or door knobs.HannahB

I ordered several of these to use as barriers to prevent my young Border Collie from running through the mud in our back yard after it rains. I set them up just off the patio several feet to allow him some space in the grass without giving him free reign of the whole yard to run through. They are very easy to set up, take down, and store! The quality is excellent – the panels are very sturdy, the clips are easy to use, and the pins to anchor them in the ground are a great length and weight. I could not be happier with this purchase! They are exactly what I needed and can easily be used for other containment configurations.J LaRue

I actually love this system including the crate, and have purchased six crates so far as grab-and-go kits for certain home projects (electrical, plumbing, patching) and cordless tool storage. The only thing that I don’t like is that the footprint is smaller than the PACKOUT storage boxes which costs some capacity. I had to store my reciprocating saw diagonally, losing space for other tools. Still recommend though.MDJim

I use this crate to store and carry multiple tools and parts on the job as an A/V technician. When I purchased the crate I didn’t notice that the lock mechanism was missing, and when I did notice it was not there I thought Milwaukee designed it that way. It’s actually become very annoying as the crate slides out of my Packout “stack” when I’m driving in the work van, and everything falls over. I have to put it to the side now when I drive taking up space that I could be using to store something else. I was disappointed with the crate not having a locking mechanism from the very beginning, even more so now that I know there should have been a lock in the first place._Heisenberg_

Bought the crate to use as part of bug-out / RV camping kit to haul 1-gal water containers Reused milk jugs, unfortunately it's not deep enough to actually carry milk containers and still be able to stack any other packout case on top of it. Since 4 gal of water weighs over 33lb I was planning on using the crate as the base layer of my packout stack. Unfortunately I assumed a packout crate would be the same depth as a actual milk crate. (my mistake) If Milwaukee were to add another inch or so to fit a standard gal jug height of 9.97" they might find a whole new market segment. I know many preppers and RV enthusiasts use packout products to safely transport and provide quick access to camping and survival essentials. And yes I use packout for my equipment and tools also . I highly doubt any tradesmen or current crate owners would take issue if future crates provided an 1" more storage capacity. Just saying, sometimes a product i.e. packout ends up having many uses beyond the design teams original intent. Just a suggestion for consideration.CHC-in AL

Terribly aligned crate. The latches are all crooked with a big space where they meet. You have to jiggle the latch to get it i to the hole because it isnt aligned to the hole correctly. The door is crooked so it is hard to open. Overall i do not recommend it and I will be returning it todayTeresa

The one downfall of this product is that it doesn’t come with a mat. It only has a hard bottom that would be quite uncomfortable for a dog to sleep on. Our little Yorkie loves her kennel and we couldn't be more happy with this purchase. We needed something that we could help her potty train in and also something to sleep in/rest in, when it's night or we are gone. She has had zero issues with it. I love that she doesn't feel like she is trapped in a kennel with no windows (hard kennel). We put a blanket on it, when it's night time and she sleeps great. I was surprised (in a good way) how light it is, yet durable. We have used this to transport her, to my parents house. It's light! But, it's great quality. You can't beat the price. I absolutely love that we can adjust the kennel to her needs. There is a nice pad, on the bottom, but we still put her blanket in with her, for added security. This is a great kennel. My dog size is from shoulder to floor is 30 cm/ 12in and length of her body is 14in/36cm.I would add about 2 to 3 inchies more to the shoulder to floor height so that why the dog has more room for her head. I like that this carrier has hooks to latch onto the existing latch and car seat tether to secure the dog in the seat so the carrier doesn't slide around or fall over. Then you can also fold it away easily under the car seat for prop it open for the dog to sit or lay it. It wasn't hard to assemble and you can put the metal bars into the flaps inside the carrier so they stay in position. Also there is three sides that allow air flow and two zipper side doors so you can open and close whichever door you want. The material of the carrier also uses ballistic material that is strong and durable. Also, contains a pad for the dog to lay one which one side is for warmth and the other side which is for cooler weather. My dog got too excited and decided to go bathroom on it. I actually had to wash it which was very easy to do. I wash this the washing machine and let it air dry. It dried in a few minutes. I really like this carrier and can hold a 22 pound dog in the XL carrier which is great and all the safety measure make me feel comfortable in putting her in the car with me. I know that my dog likes it too and feel very comfortable laying in there and going on a trip, car ride or to the park with me without any problem. Plus the whole carrier is light weight and easily to move from one place to another.fellica

Excellent construction and craftsmanship. And it looks wonderful. So much better than the traditional pet carriers. My huge cat is not at all intimidated by it and I'm certain he is much more comfortable in it. Super easy to place the big guy in it and secure him for a trip. No worries about bumping into anything and scaring him because of soft material this is made from instead of the hard plastic box.It has tether straps to safely secure the carrier in the back seat as you would a child. I bought this for my new puppy. I thought the size was perfect it would be great to be able to transport him to the vet or to take him places. It's super hard to get him in and out of it when you're in the car It only opens from the sides you can't see inside to see your dog to see if it's okay You can't open it from the top to get him out which would be much easier. Almost likely be returning this I've ordered a new car seat and if I need to carrier almost likely find a new one.Coastergal

The right thickness and the foam is firm enough so my dog, who recently had surgery for a fractured front leg, doesn't sink down to the hard floor. I took off 1 star because the cover isn't removable to wash.christine

Has very thin paint coat that chips off. Easily folds accordion style for carrying. I bought the medium sized kennel for my Shih Tzu. The size is perfect with plenty of room for him to play. The kennel is sturdy with an easy to operate door. The total time to assemble this kennel was about (1) hour (my husband put it together by himself). You will need something to cut the excess wire (the screws on the door need to be cut back before you can cap them off and the wires that connect the fence to the structure need to be twisted and trimmed to avoid injury). The sunshade DOES NOT cover the entire kennel. which I knew about from other reviews. I left the 2 inch gap near the door so I can stick my arm into the kennel and pet my dog while I walk by. Overall this is a great product! I highly recommend it!22Mommie22

This was simple to assemble, and sturdy. The only issues were small: two spots in the chain link fence, the wires didn't weave correctly so there were holes; and the locking mechanism on the gate is very cheap. I don't think I will use the gate mechanism because my dog could easily push it up and open the gate. All things considered, I recommend this kennel to someone who wants decent quality, and wants to save some money.Austin

I purchased the 4X6X4 Chain Link Kennel for my Flat Coated Retriever. I received it on the day it was supposed to arrive. It was packaged well. All the pieces parts were there and it is a very easy to assemble product. Myself and a friend actually had it assembled in 1/2 hour with the exception of the ties to secure the fencing. I took my time with those. *I am 67 and my friend is 68 two women* Instructions were clear and it really was a joy to put together.Jean

This is the only cover to buy for your kennels. Rained in the morning, snowed the rest of the day, The dogs were dry, cozy and warm in their kennels. That evening the temperature got down to 26 degrees F and the covers were frozen solid. Put the dogs in for the next day and the kennels were dry and warm and helped tremendously to keep the dogs warm after running in the snow after pheasants all morning.Michele
