I was a little nervous about this, since I just installed an expensive, customed-designed, floating cherry/walnut entertainment cabinet. The passive cooling airflow thru the cabinet was not proving workable for the AV Receiver I have in the unit. I purchased an AC Infinity T8 with rear exhaust, and paired it with the Airplate S1 fan. Installation of the Airplate, while easy, gave me sweats as I cut into the custom cabinet – but the S1 template made it extremely easy. The T8 and the S1 pair perfectly, with the T8 controlling the airflow. Both the S1 and the T8 are solid performers, neither feel or look inexpensive, and the grill on the S1 actually enhances the look of my floating cabinet.Rob D.
This thing is fantastic. Milled anodized aluminum, good weight and not flimsy. Installed it in the back of my media cabinet this morning and plugged it into a USB port on my PS4. Now when the game console comes on, so does the fan to exhaust the heat. We used to have a small clip-on fan hooked to the front of the cabinet, but that's unnecessary now. Even with being plugged into the USB port, there's plenty of power. The mounting hardware is complete, whether you mount it like I did in 1/4" paneling or in a 1" box. There's also a USB wall adapter in case you don't have an open port. Overall, a great product. Very well built and it really fills the bill if you have a media cabinet that's too warm.Bruce

I purchased these to help keep my vacuum tube amplifier cool. Unfortunately, due to limited space, it needs to reside in a cabinet so ambient cooling is not the best. These units placed on top of the protective cage are pulling enough air through to maintain it at lower temp and provide longer life to the amp and vacuum tubes. I keep them on max and unless it is 100% quiet with the windows/door closed and the ceiling fan off I cannot hear them at all. Protect your investment! Heat build up in cabinets will prematurely kill your a/v equipment. These fans are the most cost effective way to keep your expensive components from over heating by not only keeping them cool but less dust build up in the cabinet as well!! I have a new replacement receiver that is in an open front cabinet with about 4” clear above. The top was getting so hot that I was concerned that the receiver would eventually run into issues. It runs WAY hotter than the unit it replaced. Also, on top of the reveiver is the best place to keep the remotes out of the way, and that would further block ventilation. The Aircom fan does exactly what it is advertised to do, and the top is cool, not even warm to the touch. The unit has several modes, several fan speeds and is beyond easy to install and program (was out of the box and in use in 15 min, including reading the directions). You will need a standard outlet for power. I am using an auto setting with the fans at the second lowest speed. I have on a few occasions had them set to”on” and “high”, for instance when using all channels and playing loud movie/music. For average TV/Music the fans are audible above the first or second speed – BUT the first or second speed does a fine job of keeping the receiver cool, I have the thermostat set at 90°. It cycles on/off about every 10 min at this temp, and I don’t even notice it. Additionally, it sits on top of the receiver and looks like an extension of the receiver. It is very slim in height and the display is able to be turned off so it is not noticable at all. Full auto mode allows it to do its job with out any thought. I would highly recommend this product. AC Infinity AIRCOM S9, 3 fan unit. In my opinion for 80 dollars it an inexpensive way to protect your home audio investments. The only way to improve the lifespan of electronic equipment, is to keep them cool when they are operating. The S9 does this at a reasonable price, it is extremely quiet and it looks great on top of my Denon AVR3600H. I have it set on automatic mode, the fan speed is regulated by heat detection radiating off the Denon. It automatically turns on and ventilates the heat, then shuts off, all unbeknownst to me because it is whisper quiet. The only con I have is with the front panel light that displays the fan speed, it is piercingly bright, very eye catching in a dark theatre room. There is no way to dim it, no way to turn the light off when the unit is running in the auto mode. In fact the light gets brighter the faster the fan spins. When this light turns on, my eyes go from watching the movie right to this piercing light on the front panel display. My solution to blocking the light was placing a 1 inch round, adhesive backed, felt slider over the lamp, so I cannot see the fan light turn on and off when viewing movies. I have read other reviewers comments, stating they've used a black paint marker to color in the piercing light, I think that is unacceptable. Aircom should redesign the light, make it dimmable, include some sort of light cover, or have a setting to turn the light off, for those who are using this in a dark room, or theatre setting. After learning about AC Infinity products from a friend, I reviewed their options at their website and bought the AC Infinity Aircom S7 – Top-Exhaust unit for my Yamaha TSR-7810 receiver. Installation was a breeze. After reviewing the instruction panel on top of the unit, I choose setting it up using "Smart Mode". It comes with a nice Instruction Manual that I read later on. We've been experiencing 95+ degree F weather in the SF Bay lately (like today) and even though my 20' x 25' family room is air-conditioned to 81-degrees F (for my wife), the Yamaha does warm up internally up to 88-degree F and activates the "Smart Mode" using the lowest & quiet fan speeds. Once it lowers the temp to 84-degrees F, it shuts off (AC Infinity spec). I'm sure that my Yamaha internal heat normally goes beyond the 88-degrees F target set by AC Infinity, since before I bought the Aircom S7, I felt the top of my cabinet and it was very warm to hot to the touch after being on for an hour or so. Since the shelter-in-place order here, I've had my Dell laptop connected to my Yamaha & LG 55" HDTV to do work, watch the news, TV shows and an assortment of movies (Blu-ray or Prime or Netflix, etc.). So the Yamaha is probably on 15+ hours during the day / evening, meaning it's generating a lot of internal heat way above 88-degrees F. Well, not anymore with my Aircom S7 installed! Yes, I'm a very satisfied customer!!! 🙂 It's nice to have such a nicely designed quality fan accessory product that works efficiently and quietly. Heat is the enemy of any audio electronic components and keeping it cool will extend the life of that unit for years if you use a product like, … the AC Infinity Aircom S7!!! I bought a couple different clip on fans before the Cloudray A6, and the Cloudray destroys the competition. I bought 2, and I am so glad I did! The quality is top notch like I have come to expect from AC Infinity products. It uses less electricity than my other fans, is moisture resistant, and goes from a silent puff to some serious wind. I have it hooked up to a Controller 67 along with a Cloudline S4 and every time it gets a bit to humid, the new Cloudray blows a gentle breeze over the plants as the Cloudline brings the tent back where it should be by venting out the humidity. I purchased these to help keep my vacuum tube amplifier cool. Unfortunately, due to limited space, it needs to reside in a cabinet so ambient cooling is not the best. These units placed on top of the protective cage are pulling enough air through to maintain it at lower temp and provide longer life to the amp and vacuum tubes. I keep them on max and unless it is 100% quiet with the windows/door closed and the ceiling fan off I cannot hear them at all. Protect your investment! Heat build up in cabinets will prematurely kill your a/v equipment. These fans are the most cost effective way to keep your expensive components from over heating by not only keeping them cool but less dust build up in the cabinet as well!! I was considering cutting the back of my media cabinet to install a fan to keep my a/v components cool. Glad I found the AC Infinity Multifan S7 Dual Fan instead. These sit on top of my receiver exhausting the hot air out. They can be flipped over to reverse the air flow as well. The USB connection conveniently plugs into the port on my receiver and are so quiet I had to double check that they were running . Ordered 10 of the 2-counts (20 total) for a 7 yr olds birthday party. They were packed nicely in a big box and arrived safely. All of them worked perfectly at the party and kids loved playing with them. Kept them cool while outside, while temps were over 90 degrees. Each one takes 2 AA batteries. There is a flap to lift open for the batteries and does not use a screw to keep it closed. (At first I thought I needed a screwdriver but you dont.) You press a button to turn the fan off and on. It stays on until you turn it off. The mister only works when its squeezed and can be used with or without the fan on. The raspberry color is definitely a pinkish color, not red. Im concerned about water getting into the battery compartment but so far its been ok. Its also pretty tall and can be knocked over easily when it is not filled with water to help weigh it down. Anyway they worked perfectly for my purpose.CC
Bought three of these to bring to Disney World for a June vacation. The door to the battery compartment would not stay shut right from day 1 with one of the fans, and then the same thing happened to the other two fans on day 2 of the trip. This was very problematic as the batteries kept falling out and we kept losing them. We ended up needing to put first aide tape on the battery compartment doors in order for them to stay closed. After being used in Disney for a few days, when we got home the one fan was running very slowly, and you can tell motor is about to go out. Very frustrating on a brand new item. While these spray fans were helpful in Disney, next time I will order a different brand as these were very cheaply made and poor quality.Marge
Be careful, young ones with long hair can get their hair caught. It was easy to extract their hair and instigating actions were not repeated. There were two other issues. We had 4 of them for a hot day so they had lots of use. Of the four one of them now has a problem with the power button. It has to be held down in order to work. Another had the batteries fall out. Everything else functions according to expectations. We will see how they do after more use.UserError

I purchased this fan for my enclosed rack mount stereo unit. Without the fan, the enclosure gets over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. With the fan, the enclosure stays around the ambient temperature of the room, which is 76 -80 degrees Fahrenheit. This product really works. I only keep it on the lowest fan setting, as any higher and it gets to loud for my listening room; however, there is no need to go higher as all of the hot air to exhausted on the first setting. The first setting is very quiet, and depending on how loud you listen to your music, you probably will never hear the fan running. This T3 was used to cool a wood entertainment cabinet that is being repurposed to house computer equipment to avoid disk activity noise, i.e., NAS, switches, and UPS. Heat removal was essential for reliable operation. The T3 fan, control panel, and temperature probe are very well made and well documented. The use of the plastic templates is a superb idea to make cabinet hole cutting much more straight forward. Once installed with all the computer equipment operational, the cabinet was allowed to operate for a while with the fan running at full speed in the ON mode. Then, the mode was changed to SMART and the nominal set point was set at 85 degrees F. Over several days the fan speed and temperature were monitored. To keep the fan from running at max speed based on the ON mode setting and to maintain an effective cooling temperature, the nominal setting was raised to 90 degrees. Even at max speed, the fan noise is acceptable and the dual ball bearings should allow very long and reliable operation. At these settings, the NAS internal temperature is well within its margins for reliable operation, and the actual probe temperature varies between 83 and 88 degrees. I habe a cattle dog malamutte who gets hot at about 68 degrees. I live in the desert southwest so it is very hot. I use this product when we are outside camping or when we go to the lake on the boat. I love this product for the outdoor cat we care for. I put it in our garage, which he can access, and he comes in and sleeps on it during the day. It is a simple design where you put ice water in the cooler part. A small submersible pump sucks out the water through a tube that travels around the mat and dumps back into the cooler part. The pump is battery operated with 4 D Cell batteries. I did not want to keep buying batteries, so I bought an electric submersible fish aquarium pump for $6.99 that I easily attached to the tubing and then plug in. I then add ice water and small blue ice free packs to the cooler and it lasts for the day. I put a towel over the pad so it doesn't get dirty. I read other comments on other websites, and I believe some improvements have been made to the design: Most of the tubing is now insulated. The pump that comes with the unit is silent. And the connectors keep the tubing from leaking. I looked on the Akoma website and these products do not appear on their website anymore.
