While I love the look of this collar, the clasp design is very unreliable. While the outer receptacle of the claps is metal, the inside is plastic. It's very week, and the collar flies off with the slightest pull. Sometimes it flies off of my Doberman when she barks with some spirit. I purchased this collar maybe 3 months ago and the buckle now pops open when my dog pulls on his collar, whether it be on his leash when he sees a squirrel or at the vet while they are just holding him into place. I purchased this collar or one very similar for my dog last year and it ended up rubbing off his hair on his neck area and leaving an irritated raw patch. Stylish and good-looking collar. Unfortunately, it's not as durable as we had hoped. The buckle/clasp is half plastic and half metal which causes it to fail over time. Ours worked great for a little over a year on our 45 pound hound, and then began to fail if our dog applied tension to it against his leash which would cause it to fall off of him. It is a very well made collar. I would have liked it to have a larger loop that creates the constriction. If it were larger the collar could be adjusted smaller to get the "choke" effect when the dog pulls. Because the loop is small, the collar has to be left loose to fit over the head. Made with heavy duty nylon the anti slip collar is impossible for my dogs to escape from making it great for training and everyday use. I've been volunteering walking dogs with Labrador and Friends Rescue and it's required that we have two types of leashes so one form for me is the pinch collar. While some people think these are awful, they actually, if put on correctly, work wonders. These collars are made to go higher up on the neck and not supposed to be digging into the dog's neck (have to be able to stick 2 fingers through the prongs). Too short. Fits my dog but not for long. He's a 7 month old lab and it came maxed out and I only had @1/2"-1" of adjustment for him. Problem is that it's supposed to go to 18" and I don't think it does. He is currently at 16". Need a collar that spans that change better. 12"-18", then it's 18"-24". Please consider making one that's 16"-22" especially if it's going to bear his name . I also thought it would be wider. But, as far as construction, it's a nice collar and the name was spelled correctly and he seems to like it. Time will tell.Tbeaux
I had to purchase this twice because of sizing. I couldn't find a reference or a length, so I had to guess that my 100 lb Doberman would take an XL. Wrong! It was HUGE. So, I purchased a L and it fits. Great quality and the embroidery is great. It's nice not to have a charm/tag that clinks all the time – we just put our # on the collar by his name and that's that.Bon B

I love this collar and company! The collar itself is very durable and handles lots of play from my 70lb pit mix (she wears a Large but I adjust it down so it fits more snug). The different light modes are really nice, and we use it every day (especially handy in the winter when both morning and evening walks are in the dark!). Super easy to turn on & off, and to charge with the USB cord. It is NOT waterproof, but will tolerate rain and other water as long as it isn't submerged. When mine had an issue, I emailed the company and they sent a replacement within a week, free of charge. I can't recommend this collar enough!!Jessie Marie

Great! The prongs are rounded so not sharp. The collar part is Martingale style so gives you better control and responsiveness from the pup. The links are so easy to remove but they're still solid. All the other prong collars I've tried the prongs are so stiff and impossible to adjust. I really like this one and have been training my pup to not pull.SERINA
