For one year Old English Lab. Not neutered, was getting a little defiant, and was running out into the street, and eating ALL KINDS of garbage. Was reticent to get a shock collar, I could NEVER hurt any animal, but only had to shock him ONCE in two weeks ! He is a different Dog ! As long as you follow the "Command, beep, vibrate order?" He now stops his running away, AND drops any "food" he finds usually just from the beep ! Half the time just the command works ! (Which NEVER did) He knew I was too old to catch him, so there was never any consequence to his misbehavior. I truly feel this thing will probably save his life, either by not getting run over, or from a blockage or poison he'd pick up on the walks. Labs eat EVERYTHING !sobrmn5

I love that this remote locks so our little ones dont shock him. This has helped us teach him the behaviors to avoid and he has become such a better dog. I have always been apprehensive of shock collars, but my dog was back-tracking on her training. She has always behaved very well on a leash, just to forget that training when the leash comes off. I have been using these collars for a few weeks now on my 75 lbs pitbull and my 20 lb chihuahua/sheltie mix and they have been awesome. I have only used the beep and vibration and have made a world of difference in my house. my pitbull would jump and paw at us for attention which was hurting us due to his size. the beep stops the behaviors immediately and rarely have had to vibrate him. my pit also was being extremely possesive of food and starting fights at meal times. the beep makes him.stop instantly and he sits down. my chihuahua mix has a problem with getting on the table and stealing food and also barking non stop. he isnt as affected by the beep as my pitbull so I tend to have to use vibrate more often with him but he is slowly getting on the table less and less. I dont know why I waited so long to try these but I guess it's because I was one of those people who said they would never use a shock collar. I'm so glad I tried these collars before making any drastic decisions due to behavioral issues. the only downside/complaint I have is the charger comes with 2 ports so you can only charge one collar and the remote at the same time. if they are being sold in a 2 pack there should be suffice chargers to charge all 3 at the same time which is why I only gave 4 stars. the collars also tend to need to be resynced but it's an easy process to do.overall I'm very happy with the collarMandy
This collar works great! We have a 135 pound Saint Bernard that likes to run into our pasture with the cows. It definitely has enough kick to get her attention and the collar has plenty of room. All of the advertised capabilities work well , the directions for set up and use are easy to follow ,the collar comes with a testing block which nice , (I dont the shock function) the reason I rated it four 1/2 stars is the actual collar piece is made of plastic . I've tried several of these collars but my main issue has always been that they would need batteries every few days and the batteries were really expensive. This one is rechargeable – both the collar and the remote. I also love that it has the vibration feature so I can warn my dog before I actually have to "shock" her. So far since we've had it, she's only been shocked twice. She is a completely changed dog. We went from a dog who jumped up on me when I came in the house, barked at every person walking by and chased the cats incessantly to a very well behaved dog who now does none of those things. We rarely ever even have to use the stimulation. The product seems very sturdy and the remote is very colorful and bigger than most others so it never gets lost. It has a lanyard so you can wear it around your neck but that is somewhat awkward for me. I think that would be very useful when bringing her out in the public which is our next adventure.MichiganDogLover

Not only do they offer virtual training sessions if you are out of the area she offers exemplary feedback and support at the beginning of your relationship with her and throughout the life of your dog. Most helpful concepts: learn and teach place command (this will change your life and I’m not exaggerating), making yourself he leader through your dog’s eyes, and what a balanced dog’s life can look like. I almost had to relinquish my dog because he never turned off, was child aggressive, and I learned that I had to change how I ran my ship. It’s a life changer. With this collar i was able to train my hunting dog to have 100 percent recall in all situations, in a handful of sessions. My previous yard collar did not have enough range. I also bought the beeper which is useful in heavy cover. The charging system makes the collar absolutely waterproof which is good. And when the dial broke in the field it was a friendly two minute phonecall to Sportdog to have a new transmitter on its way to me.

I have purchased this collar system two different times and I am extremely satisfied with the range and the claim of being waterproof. I lost a dog a while back and was resolved that someone had taken him and removed his tracking collar. He was found three months later, and he had unfortunately fell through the ice and downed near our house. It was a sad day when he was finally found in the water. He had on one of your collars on him still. He had been underwater for three months and I had already replaced his collar. I removed the collar from his neck and wondered if it was ruined. I took it home, put on a new collar and put it on my charger, and remarkably it took a charge and was working. I still use it as a back-up collar and to remember the loss of my best friend. I purchased this one as I wanted a wireless version vs the perimeter one I had to bury. We use this when we go fishing as well as around the house. We have only had to use the continuous shock once at level 2. The tone works so well we dont really need the other features but we have them just in case, our dog decides to be really stubborn in the future. My favorite is how easy it is to use, charge and the fact the tone is the best way to get my dog's attention. It has not taken long for him to know the remote goes to his collar and that just showing him he knows to heel or the tone sound will come on and get his attention quickly. My sister is purchasing one as well since my purchase, as she has seen how much it has helped our strong willed dog. He just needed a little extra guidance for his safety as we live off a highway and next to woods with coyotes. Really enjoy the simplicity of the collar and remote. My only wish is that the vibrate setting was higher, our deaf American bully doesn't respond to the vibrate setting very well. Literally bought this as my second attempt first was a petsafe wireless fence and it wasn’t as user friendly as this petsport with a remote. I’m able to keep basic corrections in house and outside in the yard! I was worried it wouldn’t be small enough for my mini Heeler but the collar comes with an abundant amount of holes for proper fit on anything ! Supper pleased with the collar and the three bases it has for training. The beep tone the one hit simulation and the longer hit stimulation gives me theee options to ask my dog according to what she’s doing. I like that it can be supper mild and allow her the chance to be asked nicely and then reinforced mildly and then reinforcement with a sterner setting. A true life saver. My pup was running out to the neighbors across the street and up to meet cars it literally only took thirty mins in house training on basics and then outside yard training for a little under an hour! The 435 X series is really nice and has a small remote control that fits into my hand (I am only 5'4). The XS series is stronger (for large dogs that can be stubborn) and was too much for my need… that's why I really wanted the X series. The 825 X is the same as the 425 X except is has a longer distance reach (1/2 mile) but the remote is a little big bigger. Works great…. make sure you read the manual for the different settings and understand that this is not a training tool per say but a corrective tool (meaning your dog has to know and understand commands BEFORE using it)…Do NOT use as a punitive tool. The nice thing is this item allows you to choose either tone, vibration, or static mode. 99% of the time I only need to use vibration for my dog to get his attention (he cN get sobfocused on a scent that he doesn't pay attention to my commands). He sometimes takes off after a rabbit/wild pig etc. and that's when I have to use the static mode to quickly get his attention away from his chase. I really like that it is waterproof (my dog swims into ponds and rivers)…some other brands claim to be waterproof but really mean to say water resistant! I have tried everything I knew with this dog, built a relationship with him, treats, toys, praise and I wasn’t able to find anything that would motivate him to actually follow the commands that I knew he knew. I was afraid to use a “shock collar” because I thought it was going to be cruel but it had been 5 months where this 3 year old pit was with me and there seemed to be no progress. I really was not able to find something that worked. I was at a loss and willing to try just about anything. I watched some of the training videos on sportdog’s page. I ended up buying this and I charged it up like they said. I then tried it on myself first. I was very surprised, it reminded me of a tens machine that the chiropractor uses, not what I thought it was going to be at all. It’s been 3 days since I started to use this collar (425XS) and he is responding to voice commands now and the “beep” function on the collar. I had borrowed the same collar from my daughter for about a month, but she needed it back, so for the past two months he had begun to get a little independent in the woods. As soon as I put the new Arc collar around his neck, he was a changed dog. Even without paging him, he began to hunt about 75 yards out and would return to check on me every few minutes. Whenever he gets out of sight, and seems to wander too long, I simply "page" him about three seconds and he comes running. Only twice in the past week have I had to stimulate him, somewhere between level 6 and 11. Then for a day or two after that, only the pager button is needed to turn him around. I live in an older building and the walls are very thin! All dogs bark but I didn't want howling or nuisance barking disturbing everyone. I was so excited to try this on my dog because there’s nothing else I’ve done has worked. I loved the range of size the collar goes. I also loved that the button is on the inside so the dog would not be able to accidentally turn it off(no it doesnt zap your hand)lol. I was so impressed with how long and how well this works. It controls my Gsd and CO dogs. The battery life is amazing on the collars! Mine are used daily and they are still charged a month later. The shock has a good range with a huge difference. From light shock to a heavy shock. The same for Vibration.The tone is amazing , each level is a different sound. My dogs have their own tone for individual correction. The collars are colored and I marked on the unit adogs color, b dogs color and same for c dog.. I couldnt be happier with a more expensive unit than this one. I tried the aeterek Garmin 3 dog shock collar(same priced name brand) and was disappointed as the settings were all the same as were the tone and vibrate. Also the maximum level of shock was not strong enough for my dogs.the price on this 3 dog system is very competitive. This is the second training collar I purchased since August. I bought an Oxford and that didn't last. I liked some of the Oxford features over this EasyPet Collar. This collar system is better made and I expect will last longer. While I like the multiple levels of each of the sound, vibration, and shock getting to the setting in a hurry doesn't happen. I have two pit bull mixes. The sound, any level, works for one of the dogs, but not the other. I have moved to the vibration correction for him. This works well as does the shock. He returns to me with both of these. I do suggest putting a sensor on the remote as when the dog is returning after being corrected and cannot see the trainer (as he was deep in the woods) perhaps a sound on the remote would aid the dog's quicker return. I'm suggesting this as he came out of the woods at a different point than where I was. My second suggestion is making the recharging plug on the collar easier to insert. The plug seems flimsy and is hard to secure on it. Since it is so important for the plug to be in to maintain the waterproof feature it should be easier to put in. I do like this product better than the Oxford I purchased so far.MaryP

I have had training collars that cost north of $200. This collar des more and is perfect for dog training. I can normally use only sound, sometimes vibrate and very seldom have to resort to "shock". When I have though I never have to do it again to correct that behavior problem. Only thing I noticed annoying is the firmness required on the buttons. These are our preferred collars when our dog is struggling with a hotspot. We like the trim on the edge, and the option for colours. However know that the range of sizes skews small. We bought two that corresponded to neck size, but the cone depth is insufficient. You need a cone depth that exceeds the end of your dog’s snout. I just ordered another Large-Extra Large Caring Collar with Calming Disk from Pet Guys, my second Caring Collar for my 8-month German Shepherd to protect her surgery (spay) yesterday. The first collar, I used for my 2-year-4-month-old German Shepherd was when she was spayed at 10 months old. GSDs are usually very strong dogs that tend to struggle with anything put around their necks or mouths. But Caring Collar makes it easier and diminishes such struggle when putting the Caring Collar on and off around the dog's neck, unlike the plastic e-collar, which to me was so difficult and a great struggle. When I used the plastic e-collar on my first GSD at 10 months old, she banged the e-collar against her crate, managed to partially get it off and chewed it. It took a lot of sweat and difficult time for me to mend it and put it back on her neck. So, I had to go back to the pet shop to buy a new one, until I saw Caring Collar. My dog recently had surgery on his paw and he unfortunately kept licking his surgery spot. We went to Petsmart to look at cones and they had the plastic ones that looked so uncomfortable and this. This was pretty pricey but opted to go with it for the comfort etc. Although he hated it it served its purpose! He could still lay down, eat and drink with it on. I felt absolutely horrible even thinking about getting this collar at first, but it’s been an amazing training tool with our shelter pittie. She was chewing literally every single thing but her toys and getting into the trash can, as well as peeing all over the house despite us taking her outside frequently to potty. Kennel training and praising/treats helped some, but it just wasn’t enough and a trainer recommended a collar like this. I haven’t had to use the shock and don’t think I ever will need to use it. Just a quick beep or a vibrate on the lowest setting is enough to get her attention. I’ve seen so much improvement in a short time with this collar, and feel that soon we will be able to completely ditch the collar as she is learning and catching on to the rules very quickly. I like the bright red and black colors and it was really easy to put it together. The battery lasts much longer than I expected, which may also be due to the fact that we only use the collar as a last resort to get her attention. My only option was to put him up for adoption or somehow stop him from barking since he’s too big to keep inside. This collar stopped his barking very effectively. I only had to use the mild shock feature once. Now, if he barks, I hit the vibrate button and he immediately gets the message. Great range and battery life as well. I have been using training collars for years. I originally bought one from a sports store for more than $100.00. While it worked great for a few years, it was only one collar. I now needed another one so I did some checking around and then started reading the reviews on each of them. This one had great reviews and Shipping was ultra fast.I have been using it for 2 days now and it works great, I don’t have to leave my house as it travels a good distance as my dogs are in a kennel outside.
