I have one complaint and that is the fur comes out in little tufts, I hope this is a temporary thing for if it continues there might not be any fur left after a period of time. My cocker uses this as a play mat in the living room. Since he is not allowed on the sofa or carpet, this pad is for him to sit/lay comfortably while he hangs out with the family. It's padded enough to keep him comfortable and happy on the hard ceramic floors of our house. I've noticed that it's not padded enough for him to sleep comfortably through the night. After 3 or 4 hours, he'll go to his plush bed to get real sleep. My dog loved the mat as soon at it arrive. He knew it was his right when I was taking it out of the box. The mat arrived quickly and packaged well. No damage and in perfect condition. Once I took it out of the plastic and set it on the floor, it was ready to go. As a play mat, it can't be better. it's stain and odor resistant. My dog has oily skin that tends to be on the smellier side and I don't really see it affecting the mat much. The mat is black so I can't see the oily shadow that would usually appear on other dog beds I buy for my dog. The bottom is slip resistant. My cocker sheds and I like that the hairs don't stick to it. I can easily vacuum the mat with the crevice tool on my vacuum. I've had it a month and other than the rawhide/saliva marks that are left on it after a couple long chewing sessions, the bed still looks new. I just take some water, a toothbruch, and baby wipes to the rawhide/saliva marks and after some light brushing and wiping, it's clean again. I want to get a smaller one for my car. Excellent product. Great mat but it showed and I had to open it and fully allow it to rise before we noticed it was not the correct size. I had measured and it seems this one is not the correct size. Weird as I order all the time. The box did not have the size or identification on it for me to confirm prior to opening. We kept it as it is a lovely mat but it is one size too small for our pup's crate.
This seems to be a good dog bed. Be prepared…. it takes 3 to 4 days for it to “fluff up”. It comes rolled up and it was really flat considering the specifications said it was 4” high! Letting it set to fluff it took about 3 days for it to become 4” high. The cover is a bit loose but does not bother my girl, she really likes her new bed. We purchased 2 xl beds. They came wrapped in plastic and vacuum sealed. The directions said they should fully expand in 24 to 72 hours. We are on day 5, and one of the beds is almost fully expanded, but the 2nd bed is still very squished in the center and corners. We are following the directions and shaking them several times a day. Very disappointed in this product. My mini-Goldendoodle puppy was only crated and left alone 8 times but was able to tear the seam open and pull out the stuffing. Let's pray he doesn't get sick from this. He is not a wild dog and he doesn't mind his crate. He digs and puts everything in his mouth like any 8-10 week old puppy. Nice mat, our 7 month old pup loved it for two days but figured out how to get to the guts from the underside. Thought it was built tough but our pup still tore it to shreds. Lasted 3 days. He digs and scratches at bedding. I thought this would be tough enough to take a few scratches, but nope. Once he pulled it up then ripped it digging at it he pulled the stuffing out and sheaded it. If it had tie downs on the corners for in the crate it would be much better.Dog is 60 lbs 1 year old.I'm sure for a regular dog that doesn't nest or chew alot the bed would be fine it is fairly tough. Just bought a new crate and our existing bed is the wrong shape so I bought this at the same time. It has two little elastic loops at one end, but I'm pretty sure that won't hold it in place and I didn't see quite how that was supposed to attach, so I didn't use them. It is quite a bit thinner then I expected (arrived folded double in a plastic envelope) My bony whippets are constantly trying to fold it over and rearrange it to find a comfortable place to lay down so I'll need to buy a second bed with more stuffing to put underneath this one. On the plus side it is a fit for the size of the crate and it is a heavy fabric. It has a tag on it saying it is guaranteed not to bunch up in the wash, so I think it will be okay as a top layer, but I wouldn't buy it again.psh1

This dog pad is soft and just the right amt. of thickness for my use on a leather chair seat. I use it to keep the dog hair off the chair where he likes to sit. The color is light sage and blends well with my decor. I haven't washed it yet, but I would wash it on a regular cycle not the heavy cycle and air dry it. I think it's a bit thin to use in a dog crate. For that purpose, I feel it needs more padding. The price was very good. Delivery fast.KJKJ

These beds are great quality. I have 2 springer spaniels that used to eat there beds. They also like to go out swimming in the ponds and come in soaking wet. Their current beds are 2 years old and when they get dirty I hose them off and they look great. No chew holes, but after 2 years i thought they needed some backups when they come in all sloppy. Great product at a great price

I ordered this to try to provide a feral cat who stays by my house a little more warmth during recent bitterly cold nights. As a feral, she’s finicky about where she sleeps, I suspect for safety reasons. She seems to love this pad. I put it in a cardboard box for her and she did not hesitate to sleep on it. I felt the pad (she does let me touch her) and could feel the warmth radiating back. It’s a winner for her and I am much happier knowing she has a source of warmth on winter nights. The largest size was perfect for doghouse. We have a giant breed dog, and it is difficult to find dog beds large enough for him, but this fit the bill. In the past I've had 2 different brands of electric heated pads for his house, but each only lasted one winter, and I think one even shocked him after he had gone swimming. So, a warming pad without electricity was wonderful to find, and this topper is easy to throw in the wash, and keeps the bedding underneath from getting dirty, as well. It's also soft and the brown color does not show dirt. Exactly what we needed to add warmth, as his regular bedding/pads underneath tend to retain the cold. Also, the electric warming pads/beds we had used in the past were small in size compared to his doghouse, (though the largest available) so that they were awkward and uncomfortable on top of a much larger bed.dogfriend1

This is smaller than I thought. I must have clicked on the wrong size because it doesn't fit my crate at all. It is very thin and wouldn't support my cats' or kittens' weight, so I'm not real happy with this mat. It could be used as a liner to keep litter off the plastic bottom of the crate, but that's about all.

I purchased these after adopting a dog who destroyed traditional crate mats. These gave him no "bolster edge" to rip into and pull stuffing from. This Vibrant Life Crate Mat was just delivered. It appears to be well made with a water resistant fabric. It's cushioned and thick enough to be comfortable for my Miniature Pinscher. I laid this Crate Mat on my bed to remove the mat inside my dog's crate. He's a very curious dog and immediately checked it out… then he laid on it. So, before I could put it inside his crate to see his response, he already had approved of it. No need to wash this mat, you just wipe it clean. That is fine by me! My other crate mats would shed fuzz and tear whenever I tried to wash them. The furry type crate mats seem to get dirty quickly and need frequent washing. I got this crate mat for my brother’s dog that I dog sit at my house often. He’s never been kept in a crate but I bought this because if you give him any kind of dog bed he will violate it and tear it to pieces. But for some reason he won’t do that at all with flat mats. So I have several different flat ones in places around my house that he likes to lay on and this has been the best made one so far. Its nice and thick and waterproof material makes it easy to clean if your pet has an issue with wetting. With my fur baby this wasn’t the concern, just him being able to tear it up. My 30 pound terrier shredded this mat in less than 1 hour. The top surface is made of durable material but the underside of the mat is soft and easy to tear. Walmart refuses to take back the shredded mat, so though the product was inadequate and marketed incorrectly, I am now out the money. If your dog flips the mat and tears it, you’re screwed.
