This shampoo smells really good and it definitely brightens up my little guy! There's is a noticeable difference after i bath him in this. After lathering, you have to leave it on for about 5 minutes, as with all purple shampoos. I make sure to put a heavy amount on his paws and bum. These are areas that's tend to strain over time. In between baths, i clean his paws with this as well, leaving it on for 5 minutes then thoroughly rinsing. After he's all dried, he doesn't seem irritated so i believe it is NOT drying out his skin like some brightening shampoos are known for.natalie .g
I bought this originally for my nieces new and tiny miniature Dockson puppy and we ended up using it on her other mini Dockson and our poodle. It’s almost impossible to bath your dog or puppy with out them licking the water or the soap on themselves. This soap they can get distracted in licking it and it is gentle enough that it won’t hurt them a bit. *not that I’m suggesting to reward bad habits but if you bath your pets at home then you known the struggle is real!* We still use this even though they aren’t puppies anymore. My skin always needs salicylic acid, idk why but I have a problem with closed comedomes like all over my face and body, I just use these on my face though. I'm halfway through my first jar and this stuff is amazing, I use it every night directly after cleansing and extracting and I just gently swipe it on, the pads are a little scratchy and it did tingle/burn a little during the first couple of uses but not anymore. I follow with rosewater, niacinamide and moisturizer, and my skin has never been clearer than it is right now. Some of my hyperpigmentation is beginning to fade as well, and I'm finding fewer blackheads and whiteheads on my face. Also it gently smells like freshly cut lemons, which is a huge plus imo. I know it says 2-3x a week but I haven't had any problems with once daily application, though I am very tolerant of chemical exfoliants. Paired with La Roche's toleraine moisturizer, my skin remains perfect all day or night, not oily yet not dry, and has a nice bit of glow. 🙂Have a good day 🙂
These pads actually work very well as a deodorant. A single pad lasts all day. The ph of the salicylic acid prevents bacteria from thriving. These pads do not, however, work as an antipersperant. Also, the scent of the pads is mostly lemongrass with a mild hint of tea tree. One more thing, the pads I get in store smell very nice, but the one I ordered online smelled disgusting and rancid even though it said it wasn't expired. Google brought me to the natural dog company because my dogs paws were the stuff off nightmares. Paw pads that look like hair which I learned was hyperkeratosis. Supposedly there is no cure for this. But I thought at the very least this would give him some relief as he must have been in some pain. Well he looks so much better already. The paws got soft enough that I was able to "trim" the filaments off sightly. Yes it was as gross as it sounds lol. He is not fully cured yet but his paws are so much closer to normal already. He is also in less pain as he is more tolerant of me putting the product on. Once he gets a bit more healed I will use the skin soother in-between the toes. The only con is that this stuff goes fast. I thought this was way too good to be true. My dog- Victoria, a catahoula- has severe allergies and has to be on a special diet, take medications, etc. even then, she has still had really bad allergies and chews her paws and legs. While she absolutely hates this stuff- I don’t know if it is the smell (it smells good, though), but on day 2 I saw a significant change in the redness and itchiness. I was such a huge skeptic because I’ve tried everything and I wasn’t expecting this to work and it has honestly been the only think that is not a medication that has helped. I run and walk my border collie 7-9 miles everyday and his paws were always rough so I decided to try this…within 1 week his cracks were almost all gone and his pads were really bad…deep skin cuts are almost fully gone!!! I had to order more of it even tho I haven't ran out fully. My dog doesn't lick it off or anything, but the first 2 times, it was hard to keep him still but now he lays there sleeping while I put it on him before bed. He lays still when I put it on in the morning also. I recommend getting the 4 Oz tin cuz I got the 2 Oz stick and after 1 week it's half gone…so if the pads are very rough, you my use a bit more than usual or recommended. I’m now in my 30’s and found a skincare routine that works great for me and I rarely breakout but it still seems like at least twice a year a will get one intense cystic breakout that in a few incidents has left me with a pitted scar due to picking ( a HUGE no no with these types of breakouts!) I’ve been using this product for 2/3 weeks daily before I go to bed. I was left with really deep pitted scaring all over my cheeks after experiencing nodular cystic acne. The pitted scars now do not appear as deep and in fact look like they’re closing up. The very first high end product I’ve ever purchased was Murad Hydro-Dynamic(R) Quenching Essence 1 oz and I immediately fell in love with the product and the brand, and gradually have accumulated multiple Murad serums and moisturizers, eye creams etc. Murads InvisiScar Resurfacing Treatment is a lightweight lotion/serum that is made to treat scarring from acne. It treats ice pick or pitted scars as well as any discoloration as well. As a teen I did suffer from cystic acne and was also diagnosed with rosacea. However, I did get both under control rather quickly I’ve never had bad acne to the point that I ended up with pitted scars, but I did have some reddish discoloration on my chin area or PIE (Post Inflammatory Erthemya) . This formula has BHA (Salicylic acid) which is an exfoiilant and also used to treat acne, as well as a Vitamin C which brightens and lightens scars, promotes collagen production. As well as Centella Asiatica aka Tiger grass which is known to encourage new skin growth and is one of the best ingredients to treat redness. All these ingredients put together not only completely faded the red discoloration on my chin area but also made my skin tone more even and radiant. I received this product as a free sample. I have combination skin, so I struggle with both oil and dryness, and get breakouts that I am managing pretty well with other products. When I used this spot treatment as directed (use daily on acne), I found it to be too drying for my skin. Instead if I have a pimple I will use this every other day on the affected area. I have found it to work well with these modifications. It is also worth noting that I am trying this product while it is winter here, so my skin is at its most dry. So I have a beabull, mostly English bulldog. He’s a 7/8 mix. Out of nowhere his cute little black nose started getting crusty and cracked. I waited a while and it didn’t let up. A friend said there was nothing you could do but I found this online. I didn’t think it would work but we are on day four and his nose is DRASTICALLY improved. He hates when I put it on (he does that with everything ever though) so I have to put some peanut butter on a spoon and have him lick it after I apply it to his nose or he’ll just lick it right off his nose. I bought this for my dog’s (14 year old Shar Pei) keratin buildup on his nose and paws. It dissolved the stuff great and I was able to wipe off the stuff on his paws after one application. That was really impressive. My dog has fairly mild Hyperkeratosis but his nose gets a fairly thick layer of buildup, and this product allows you to remove it fairly easily after a few applications over a couple days and a cooperative pooch. I was really impressed with how well it worked. I use it now preventatively which prevents bad buildup on his nose and paws, so all in all I’m certainly a big fan. I recommend at least the 2oz can if you think you’ll use it on the paws. The 2 oz can generally lasts me a couple months even with multiple applications per day. My maltese is a wild one; he likes to play in the mud. and he eats powdered liver and turmeric, which are foods known to stain the coats. My avid little mouser cat caught herself a little prize just a few days before a month-prior planned trip my husband and i were unavoidably about to go to. Apparently that mouse had bitten her back in the process, right on her tender little lip cleft! Before we knew it, that bite had gotten infected so bad she became lethargic, her face swollen an angry shade of red, she could not eat or even drink on her own and she could not even close her mouth and was drooling on herself. Because of the covid situation and proximity of timing to our trip to see family, there was no way to get her to a vet in time before we had to leave in 3-4 days. So we did the best we could with a dropper to feed and water her and rushed out to get Vetericyn to help stave off the infection which reduced the angry redness to a healthier pinkish. For the very few days we had before we had to go, I was keeping her hydrated and was spraying her face with the Vetericyn regularly (as directed) even as we headed out the door with one last treatment. Using this for hot spots on my canine, this stuff does work but it sometimes can take up to 2 8oz. Bottles to heal the area's treated. Not sure if it's the strength of medicine or just those stubborn spots. I caught the spots early on and started treating them immediately and have been treating them for a month now and they are getting better but slowly, these things are stubborn. I can say that absolutely nothing else I tried worked. Believe it or not, I read online the other day that rubbing Pepto Bismol on hot spots actually works, you heard right, Pepto Bismol. Seems to have done the job in combination with exterminator-grade bait traps, no more (live) scouts in the kitchen/dining areas. Used the DE by taking off wall plate coverings for electrical outlets and switches, then blowing some powder back into them. I took in a stray and the vet diagnosed her with sarcoptic mange after a scrape test. Sarcoptic mange is very contagious between dogs (and even humans can get it) so we immediately put her on nexguard to take care of the infestation. Still, nexguard takes some time to work and in the meantime she would not stop scratching and biting. I purchased this and applied it to her skin and within an hour or two the scratching eased immensely. You can see the relief on her face, and she can actually nap now. If you’re familiar with the ingredients, you know to expect a greasy feel and a strong smell. I have used Happy Jack flea dip for years. I was a dog breeder and when fleas hit, you need to get rid of them ASAP. Otherwise, your house becomes quickly infested. This dip, when used as directed, kills any fleas on the dog at an instant. It is the only dip I used.
