I was really disappointed with this blemish treatment. I usually use Zo obagi breakout cream, however this had run out so I thought I would try this I was having a spot outbreak due to over indulging/sugar increase whilst on holiday. I had little white head spots on my chin and applied this, which made my spots grow! Maybe tis is supposed to draw the impurities out? But not the look I wanted as my spots looked far wore, bigger white whites heads! I tried again over the next couple of days but did the same. Maybe this is better suited to blind/under skin spots, not white heads.Jo30

I received a sample of this with an order I placed and I’ve been thoroughly impressed! I was trying another exfoliator that caused horrendous breakouts and this has been helping me the last couple of weeks. I use this as a spot treatment since I have hormonal acne and only break out on the same area. The product has been able to dry out the active pimples slowly but surely. I took off some stars because the price for the 1 oz is pretty discouraging and also it smells awful. I put it on the whole face once and I still smelled the morning after. Also, this is tacky and drying if you don’t put anything hydrating before it. So I usually apply it once my whole routine is done or after some serums. Really considering buying the full size but the price is just a little much for the size unfortunately.boston0811

This amazing product eliminates pimples & milia! I’m 52 & occasionally have breakouts between my eyes where a pimple patch won’t fit. I put just a dab of this product on and the pimple is gone in the morning. I also use it during the day under tinted moisturizer or foundation. The smell is overpowering but it goes away in a minute or two. This does not make my skin dry. Just a tiny amount is all that is needed for those painful zits in hard-to-reach places. Irish setter had injured nose causing it to swell and the black skin on nose had cracked badly. when the selling went down the badly cracked and dry skin wouldn't heal .After just 3 applications of this cream there was a big difference and using it twice daily for a week seen the nose totally heal. After noticing hyperkeratinosis on the paws of my senior basset hound (Baxter), I researched various products, and this one seemed to have the best reviews. Looking at the ingredients, sure you could make this stuff yourself, but for the money, it's more affordable to just buy a container, especially when a little goes so far. When I first put it on, he wasn't happy. I suppose his feet hurt so much on those spots, touching them was painful. However, shortly after using it, it was if he was a different dog. I'm not trying to allude that this is a miracle cure, or will change your pet significantly, but when considering that he went from watching my other dogs to playing with them, and walking with a better stride, and being happier in general, I give it a ton of credit. It has been a few weeks, and his feet are softer, but not totally cured. Hyperkeratinosis is a permanent issue, but being able to make him comfy and happy, makes me happy, and if you decide to purchase this item, I hope you have the same positive outcomes as well.blinkydatiger

This worked great on my dog's irritated ear. It was a weekend AND a holiday, and my poor little guy was so uncomfortable. I couldn't find an open vet anywhere and the ER was packed. After a little research, I decided on the Zymox and found it at my local Petco, which was not only open, but open all day even though it was a holiday. I was so grateful — after the initial shock of me dumping oily stuff in his ear, my dog was more comfortable within an hour and much better within 12 hours. Great product. Pricey, but effective and, of course, a fraction of the cost of a vet visit. Definitely recommend this product.slindt

An old doggo with a history of ear "dirt" that required weekly cleaning, applied these drops for a week and the results were impressive. Using a cotton ball to remove the residue (and icky stuff), and she clearly hears better. As others have commented, the product is oily, just don't over-do with the application, be sure to rub the ears well, and clean off the residue. Recommended.Owl at home

My poor dog has floppy ears and has been shaking his head for weeks. He seemed to have some sort of infection and i tried my best to help him to no avail. I was a bit low on cash to take him to seek help with the vet so i did a search and came across this item. I saw the reviews but had doubts since my dog has been suffering. I bought this for my 16 year old son who gets pimples and I wish I had something like this when I was younger. I rub a bit on one of his pimples and it calms them down within a few hours. By the next day, the pimple has subsided alot and eventually dries up and flakes off . This stuff is great. There is no strong scent and it does not bother his skin when I apply it to the pimple. The gel has a definite clinical treatment-ness about it. It smells like Anbesol, and stings if you happen to apply it to an open blemish. (Brings me back to my high school days and Stridex pads…) But, it does seem to help stop blemishes from getting bigger overnight. It's something that should be introduced to your morning and evening routine until said spots are gone (as the directions instruct), but you won't get punished if you miss a night or a morning, or a day. Definitely also follow the directions on applying moisturizer after the gel has dried, and do your best to apply it only on the blemish head (not too much of the area around it.) This stuff is amazing! It has almost cleared my face completely. I purchased this 3 days ago and I can already see a huge difference. First off, the second I opened the container it had a strong alcohol scent to it, like it was pure rubbing alcohol. Instant red flag but i tested it on a patch of skin. Didnt burn or react at first so the next day i was a bit more generous and applied it to my problem areas (NOT my whole face). After a few seconds the patches where i put this astringent started BURNING so bad that my eye started watering. Rinsed it off immediately but still felt pain from the reaction. Thankfully my skin suffered no damage from it but I have no clue why it burned so much. I don't have sensitive skin and products have almost never reacted poorly with my skin, especially not as bad as this did. However, I see no other reviews mentioning the alcohol smell or comparing it with rubbing alcohol, so maybe I might have just gotten a bad bottle.maria

I love this product for several reasons. One, it has such a nice, clean scent and doesn't smell like perfume. Two, it actually works!! I put it on wet skin, use a very soft cleansing brush and work it in circles on my face, leave on for 5 minutes, then wash it off. I use it 2-3 times/week. My skin texture and acne have gone down dramatically just in the few weeks I've been using this. I've found that other salicylic acid cleansers are too drying for my skin. I definitely wouldn't use it everyday, nor would you need to. Three, it's affordable!!! And Four, it's improved the redness of my rosacea skin a lot!Nicki

This does dry out your pimples, but it dries out ALOT! I’m not a fan of the sulfur smell or the fact that it’s tinted. If worn under makeup, it made the spot look caked up. This is probably the best over-the-counter acne medication for hormonal acne that I’ve ever used. Sulfur-based treatments are often recommended for cystic or hormonal acne, and I’ve have tried many different sulfur acne products, including prescription versions. This one is affordable and works. I put it on at night when I’m most likely to start getting some chin break outs, and it prevents them from ever happening. It layers well over my other night creams and isn’t overly drying. It also improves the texture of my skin. All that is what sets it apart from Mario Badescu Drying Lotion, (and products like that), which I sometimes use if I do get breakouts—it prevents, not just treats, acne.jo.c

I am an advocate for clean, clear skin. A fresh fact just makes the make up application so much easier. I was given Dr. Zenovia clear complexion 10% benzol peroxide and cleanser for my honest opinion. Dr. Zenovia hormonal dermatology skin care line is very different then any one I've used before. It is clinically formulated for healthy looking, acne free complexion. This cleanser had 10% benzoyl peroxide that helps remove excess sebum and eradicate impurities. Your skin is still protected with antioxidants and aloe vera. I used a small amount and washed my face like usual. I could already feel a difference. I could feel a little texture when I began to scrub my face, gentle but effective. My skin felt brighter and felt so soft. I used the aloe vera blemish moisturizer to keep my skin looking and feeling it's best. The third step would be the same spot treatment, which is self explanatory. Use this product as needed. I received this product as a free sample. I have combination skin, so I struggle with both oil and dryness, and get breakouts that I am managing pretty well with other products. When I used this spot treatment as directed (use daily on acne), I found it to be too drying for my skin. Instead if I have a pimple I will use this every other day on the affected area. I have found it to work well with these modifications. It is also worth noting that I am trying this product while it is winter here, so my skin is at its most dry. I like that the product doesn't feel harsh, sting, or have an intense chemical smell, which I have experienced with other acne products. This spot treatment is very light feeling, and a little goes a long way, so I think that this amount of product could last a long time. My dog had an allergic reaction to the antibiotics he was on after having a few teeth pulled. The itch was driving him crazy. My cat frequently has eye gunk, or eye discharge. We would clean her eyes out with water, which would sometimes work. She would also scratch just below her chin, causing skin irritation or occasional bleeding at the site. This tiny bottle is a life saver. If you have a cat that is dealing with cat acne, you need to order some right now (and throw out any plastic pet bowls if you have em…food grade stainless steel, glass or ceramic bowls are ideal) When my baby boy hit 3 years old, he broke out like a teenager working at McDonalds. Not only that, but it made him want to scratch at his face all day…so he was pimply sliced up. No matter how often I cleaned his face, the acne kept up. I was gifted this product in exchange for a review, all opinions are my own. I was excited to try this out, I have cats and a few of them have suffered from cat acne on their chins; even having switched their bowls and water dishes to ceramic and stainless steel didn't seem to fix the problem. I also tried cleaning their chins with benzoyl peroxide soap, witch hazel, and even just plain soapy water but found all of those options extremely time consuming and hard to do since none of my cats enjoyed the process! Seeing as how it was super hard to even do it one time keeping any type of schedule or consistency was nearly impossible, so none of those options ever worked out long term. Then I tried this product and wow it's been great!! There is zero smell and my cats don't seem to notice it at all, I just get a little on a cotton ball and bam work it into their chins. I guess because there is no smell (definitely no burning etc) they just don't seem to notice that I'm doing anything! Even my older cat doesn't seem to mind, and I normally hate stressing her out. On top of how easy this product has made keeping up with their cat acne, I have definitely seen an improvement! Slowly but surely they are doing much better. Wow! I have used sulfur treatments prior to this purchase, but I must admit that I am extremely impressed with this company and their production of this. My daughter and I both used this on stubborn acne clusters that have been annoying us for months on end. After using this treatment we BOTH saw immediate results after an overnight treatment and our annoying little clusters were GONE after 3 days of nightly use. Amazing 🙂 Please note that this is a topical treatment that is meant to be applied in small, troublesome areas as a nightly application. Also, make sure that you do not shake the bottle and that you leave the pink sediment at the bottom. That being said, I have found that just using a little of the liquid solution that sits on top is wonderful for quick daytime applications under lotion and makeup. Works very well! I have not paid for the Kate Somerville product, but a cleaner and affordable alternative. Wonderful spot treatment! This helps shrink, dry, and reduce redness overnight. Has worked well on bigger angry pimples on my chin from face masks as well as smaller oily spots or redness and more mild breakouts alongside my nose. Highly recommend giving it a try before paying double for a very similar product. I like the natural additives in this product and that it's colloidal sulfur not just sulfur. Not sure how that may impact effectiveness between the two, but give this a go before putting out the extra bucks.Lauren

We have been testing this new to us product out for the last three weeks. We have 4 different acne stories going on in our house that range from tween, teen, mid life hubby (doesn't want to wash face every night) and hormonally changing menopause momma (me) we are always searching for an item that can work for us all. So far this item works well! We've all used it multiple times and here's what each age and stage thinks: 1- Tween who has hairline acne as well as back acne and tends to get deep ulcer type pimples and black heads. Uses a set regime of other Derma E acne products and cleansers. Notes that it can sting for a second when applying on pimples that are raw but loves that when she wakes up the next morning that spots are visibly soothed and that the puss or infection has gone down. Often has to use every night due to the amount of acne but doesn't mind the smell (a bit antiseptic) and likes to make fun of how she looks like a polka dot monster when applying it due to calamine lotion. 2- Teen uses other product lines including some Derma E. Has light acne with specific areas of concentration on forehead and edges of nose with sensitive skin which has caused her to rely on a fairly simple list of beauty items. Notes that it works well and gives it 4 strong stars. The down side for her is that it doesn't look fab after applying when the powder pink calamine lotion appears like polka dots but appreciates that it works and she knows the next morning that she'll wake to clearer skin. 3- Dad notes it works and is best when the wife tells me I need it and applies it. Only needs to use it randomly and usually after a food binge. Likes that it can get down to the skin through his light beard. Unlike acne lotions that get caught up in facial hair. 4- Momma: I love the simple ingredients. The sulphur especially as I knew it would increase the effect. I’m now in my 30’s and found a skincare routine that works great for me and I rarely breakout but it still seems like at least twice a year a will get one intense cystic breakout that in a few incidents has left me with a pitted scar due to picking ( a HUGE no no with these types of breakouts!) Recently I had one of these breakouts which resulted in, you guessed it, a large red indented scar on my cheek which was extremely upsetting. I was desperate to find a product I could use at home to at the very least fade the intense redness of this scar but I never thought anything would or could fill in the indented mark this breakout left. I’ve been using this product for 2/3 weeks daily before I go to bed. I was left with really deep pitted scaring all over my cheeks after experiencing nodular cystic acne. The pitted scars now do not appear as deep and in fact look like they’re closing up. It’s certainly minimised the appearance of how deep and wide they were previously and I’m hoping with continued use they will completely close. The texture of the product itself is so silky and leaves the skin feeling very smooth. It’s worked wonders for my self esteem too! Murad is my favorite skin care brand hands down. The very first high end product I’ve ever purchased was Murad Hydro-Dynamic(R) Quenching Essence 1 oz and I immediately fell in love with the product and the brand, and gradually have accumulated multiple Murad serums and moisturizers, eye creams etc. Murads InvisiScar Resurfacing Treatment is a lightweight lotion/serum that is made to treat scarring from acne. It treats ice pick or pitted scars as well as any discoloration as well. As a teen I did suffer from cystic acne and was also diagnosed with rosacea. However, I did get both under control rather quickly I’ve never had bad acne to the point that I ended up with pitted scars, but I did have some reddish discoloration on my chin area or PIE (Post Inflammatory Erthemya) . This formula has BHA (Salicylic acid) which is an exfoiilant and also used to treat acne, as well as a Vitamin C which brightens and lightens scars, promotes collagen production. As well as Centella Asiatica aka Tiger grass which is known to encourage new skin growth and is one of the best ingredients to treat redness. All these ingredients put together not only completely faded the red discoloration on my chin area but also made my skin tone more even and radiant. This is a great serum to use even if you don’t have scars. Lightly exfoliates to get rid of dead skin cells plus brightens the skin and gets rid of discoloration. My dog has been having such problems with his skin, super itchy and has always been very sensitive. He licks a lot and creates hot spots etc… After he got an infection and we had to put a cone around his head this has helped sooooo much to clear up his skin condition! I have a 5 year old pocket bully who has allergies and very sensitive skin. This shampoo gives her noticeable relief as soon as shes out of the bath. I use in conjunction with the spray they also make. They have helped tremendously! If you have a fur baby who suffers with eczema, hot spots, yeast or any other skin issue please give them some relief and try this shampoo. I am 35 years old with combination-dry skin. I've suffered acne, whiteheads, blackheads, closed comedones, congestion, large clogged pores, and rosacea for MOST of my life…. 2/3 of it. At the start of this year (2022) I committed to really getting to the bottom of my skincare concerns, as I can't remember the last time I felt confident about my skin. I've hid behind makeup, filters, and hair for as long as I can remember, but I was tired of it. After weeks of doing some research, I landed on THIS. I chose it over the Original 2% Solution as A) the new one wasn't out yet, and B) I figured this would be a gentler introduction into SA products, anyway. I was also careful to consider what types of products I was already using, or willing to replace with this, by studying contraindications, reviews, and possible side effects thoroughly, and also limited my product-usage to the bare necessities. My routine: Cleanser — Riversol Toner — Glow Recipe Serum/Treatment — this Moisturizer — Riversol I had read many reviews so I knew to expect an oil-y product, but I had never used squalane before. So upon initial application I was actually surprised that it tended to just sit atop my skin, just as reviewers had commented. But, seeing as I suffer tight/dry areas on the face, I didn't mind. I just started applying it in the PM a good couple hours before putting head to pillow. And, regardless of the moisturizing benefits of squalane, I ALWAYS followed with moisturizer, which helps keep it all locked in. Within the first week I was awe-struck at how amazing my complexion appeared. Each morning I'd wake up to supple, hydrated, and just glowing skin. And I was thrilled. Never once did I experience any irritation, though some mornings my face would feel tighter than others (hence why the moisturizer is needed, and nothing a good AM routine couldn't fix.) By Week 2, the dreaded purge began. And at first I was caught off guard, discouraged even — before quickly remembering this is a common process when using Salicylic Acid, so I pushed on. For another 2-3 weeks. Around this time I noticed that the product and its squalane base started absorbing into my skin much quicker — about half the amount of time — and, thus, seemed to start working better or faster. By mid-Week 3, I began to see the light at the end of the tunnel, as my skin-tone had become so much more even, my face was better hydrated and moisturized than it had ever been, and my acne blemishes and acne spots were starting to fade away. On Day 27 and Day 28 my face decided to throw out a couple new pimples, including 2 blind ones, but this is also when I started incorporating a spin brush (Clarisonic knockoff from Amazon) into my PM routine. It is my belief that doing so has increased the efficacy of this product and ALL skincare products that I use, and which may have seemingly gave my Anhydrous SA Solution a boost to work overtime and banish those last few zits … over night. Even the blind pimples which never surfaced. On Day 30 I woke up to the most beautiful skin I'd ever experienced since my childhood — and shed literal tears of joy because of it. For the FIRST time in 23 years, I was PROUD of my skin. So proud, that when my husband and I were having a little date night that same day, I went out without makeup (foundation or powder) on for the first time since I was probably a teenager. My skin looked so amazing my husband initially thought I was wearing foundation, until he got up right close to me to study me, and realized I wasn't joking. He was so thrilled, himself, as we've been together 13 years, and thus he knows how much of a struggle and insecurity my complexion has been for me. Needless to say, this product has changed my life. As of today, Day 34, I have no active breakouts — but a singular stubborn closed comedone, which I'm not even mad about. And while it's important to note that every one's skin is different and will react differently to different products, I do truly believe that many of the negative experiences from this product could be over come with time and patience. Yes, the squalane is initially uncomfortable — but not only does the skin adapt, with consistent use our skin will absorb it more readily as well. I also noticed that my oilier T-Zone has become more normalized since using this. To the point I don't feel I suffer oily areas anymore. Instead, the squalane has merely upped my moisture game and gifted me a stronger moisture barrier — giving me a glow rather than a sheen. Yes, your face will likely purge from this product — but the ultimate outcome is so worth it in the end if you can push through it. Also remember to be consistent. I've never skipped a single day of AM or PM routine. I used this every PM, after I patch tested to assure it'd be okay for my skin. As a preface, I realize lot of people struggle with skin because they do not understand it. TO has 2 options- water based & this is oil based. Water & oil do not mix, right? Many falsely still believe that you don't moisturize oily skin🤦‍♀️ or to avoid oil. Since water and oil don't mix… oil helps oily/acne skin even more! Because it's the only thing that will penetrate oil! Hello! The only people who complain about this product are people who still haven't figured out skin and don't understand that. No this product isn't meant to be used under makeup, etc & that's okay. But that doesn't mean it doesn't have its place- you have to actually understand skin, this product, etc. This is a wonderful safer/more studied alternative to tea tree oil for oily skin. It's meant to be oily lol. Oil mixes better with oil- not water! Basic chemical principle. This is for use at night before you go to sleep- and wooweee ! Lol, it will help clear up your skin while your skin goes into overdrive work while you're asleep. Think of the "slugging" trend- many of us already knew about oiling before "slugging" went TikTok viral and this would be a perfect product for it for oily/acne people vs Vaseline, since Vaseline isn't acne friendly. So I bought this product to use in combination with the glycolic acid to help decongest my pores over my nose as I have large pores. And I follow up with HA, then the Niacinamide, and then the retinoid 2% serum. I started my journey w their products almost a month ago and just recently added this salicylic acid and the retinoid serum to my routine as I loved how my skin was looking and being controlled (very oily skin) but needed to clear my pores better. This product is so oily even though it's oil free- I didn't didn't use ONE drop and it spread across my entire nose and chin and has been sitting to "dry" for well over 30 minutes and still hasn't sunk into my skin enough to apply my other serums and appears and feels very wet still . I'm highly unimpressed and disappointed. From what I've read, the original serum formulation was the BOMB, and I look forward to trying that one if it ever comes back since this doesn't burn my skin like any other salicylic acid wash or cleanser usually does. I will absolutely he returning this product im so disappointed because i have severely oily skin and the other products have helped me so much and this is not what I was expecting it to be. I love my serums and just can't justify giving them up and ruining my skin for this one exfoliating solution. I'll be much happier when the original serum comes back. If you don't like products that go on and sit on your skin like oil that never dries I dont recommend buying this.Heather

Honestly, I think this product didn’t work on my skin. Had a lot of breakouts due to pregnancy acne. So I consumed the whole pack very quickly, without having result at all. I wanted to love this so much. The light cream works well and zaps the pimples. My skin doesn't get dry and flaky from use. The initial smell when applied is of tea tree oil, but the smell fades within ten minutes. Unfortunately, what's left behind is the lingering smell of sulfur (like mild rotten eggs). It's aggravating my nausea, which is such a shame because the cream itself does work well. With my nose as sensitive as it is right now, the overwhelming smell of sulfur is in the blankets and pillow, and with every fluff and movement, I can smell it. If you don't mind the smell of sulfur, definitely give this a try. If you're fighting nausea and morning sickness, I'd wait a bit.Scrufflebuns

I purchased these based on the raving reviews and because I’ve had excellent luck with the acne eliminating gel but still get cystic acne on occasion. I’ve tried to use these twice now and both times my face was left intensely, unbearably itchy- and it did not stop. I like to do my acne regime at night before bed, and let me tell you my face itched like no other all night long and into the next morning. Only when I washed my face did it stop for good. The second time I just washed it immediately. I am very disappointed, but think it must have something to do with sensitive skin though I have no issues using the extra strength peels. I wouldn’t recommend this if you also have sensitive skin.Evelyn M.

These acne eliminating pads can be used all over the face – even on areas with zero blemishes! I use these pads in the evening before bed and they work their magic overnight. I have also used the solution inside the canister as a “spot treatment” in the AM- you can just use your finger and gently dip in excess solution in the canister and dab on area! I have tried multiple different spot treatments and so far, I’m liking this one the best. The Up & Up brand spot treatment and Neutrogena are essentially the same product. They dry up acne but also suck ALL the moisture from your face and worst of all, they bleach pillow cases/blankets shirts!!! I’ve had to throw away so many things because of the harshness of these products but I didn’t know what else to use. I actually decided to try this as it was on sale. I get typical hormonal acne on my chin as well as under the skin sort of small bumps on my forehead when stressed/sleep deprived. I liked the jelly sort of slick consistency of this product. It applies easily and it’s clear, you only need a small amount on you fingers. I rubbed this all over my forehead and bottom chin as preventative action before bed. NO bleached fabrics this time and my skin (very sensitive) wasn’t dried out but my under the skin bumps were almost completely diminished. I washed my face in the morning with a gentle creamy cleanser to keep any later dryness at bay. I love this product so far and I will definitely be trying their other skin care products. Highly recommend for those with persistent small bumps/sensitive skin. As with any spot treatment, I’m not sure how it would work with cystic acne, I do believe it could help with more applications but washing in between. I feel this is worth the price and a little goes a long way. Would buy again!Han

That's the thing with a high dose of salicylic acid- it does what it's supposed to, but you can feel it. As a chronic pimple-popper (I know I shouldn't), I end up with hyperpigmentation since my skin doesn't bounce back like it used to when inflicting wounds on it. Instead of/ In addition to physically removing blemishes, I've been treating myself with this stuff for a little more than a week now, and it's reduced the scars I already had and has made the zits I do have disappear much more quickly than before. I just have to endure the stinging, which is bearable, but undeniable. Also, I Have been reading up on beauty ingredients, and this stuff has wonderful things in it in addition to the main salicylic acid component. I'm quickly falling in love with Acure products.Kat G.

This is my must have skin care product. I’ve done a lot of work, changing up my diet to try and improve my acne. But- sometimes, hormones and too much diary causes chin acne that is not attractive. All it takes is applying this a few times a day as soon as I see a pimple popping up, and it calms it down and prevents it from growing and being irritated. I absolutely love this stuff. My dermatologist wrote a prescription for this product after I have tried numerous over the counter products for the last 20 years. This product has greatly reduced my acne breakouts and has not caused any sensitive skin problems. It also did not cause my skin to become overly dry.
