The formula has changed…it is much more liquid than gel, and there are differing ingredients in it…for example, no pectin. WHY? And the main ingredient…from chamomille seems like hype. My 2 cats disliked it..practically spitting it out and again this was not the case with the original Diagel., plus because it's so wet vs. gel-like it flew everywhere. Normally I won't be too hard on a product if asked for a review. Whatever the cats did ingest had some calming effect on their slight diarrhea but even I ,a life time cat meds giver was stymied .Since it's not cheap I want result; $30+ out the window.. The product works great, however read this carefully to determine the quantity to order, the website is misleading. The manufacturer sells the product in 1 gram (small dog), 2 gram (medium dog), and 4 gram (large dog) sizes. Each package contains 3 packets to be given over 3 days. In order to get the correct amount for your dog's weight, you may need to order more than one package. According to the manufacturers instructions, you need to administer one gram of product (daily) for every ten pounds of animal weight. So, up to: 10 lbs = 1 gram; 20 lbs = 2 grams; 30 lbs = 3 grams; 40 lbs = 4 grams; 50 lbs = 5 grams; 60 lbs = 6 grams, etc. So, if your dog weighs 11 to 20 lbs, you need to order a 2 gram (medium dog) size and give him 1 packet per day for 3 days. But if your dog weighs 21-30 lbs, you need to order a 1 gram (small dog) AND a 2 gram (medium dog) package, and give your dog a packet from each size for 3 days. The product is a powder; many dogs will not eat it on dry food, so if you usually feed your dog dry food, mix it in with some wet dogfood and most dogs will chow it down. A puppy was pretty much dropped in my lap several days ago, her belly was SO bloated as she hadn't had any vet care prior. Before even getting her home I pondered the wormers at our local Petco, selected this one. On day 3 the worms came out, though her poor bloated belly was reduced after the first day. Will use this again if worming can't wait for the vet. Due to her weight we did have to weigh out the medicine (half a gram ='s 1/4 teaspoon), and you must have an accurate weight on the dog and an accurate measuring device for it to be as effective as it can be without giving too much. I went with the Safeguard brand because I've been using the livestock version for other animals with success. She ate it fine with cooked chicken/broth mixed into her kibble.Mandy R

during the late fall to the end of winter I give these to my dogs to prevent worms. Then early spring I switch over to Heartguard. You get three packs. I use two packs per dog per month. Each pack 40 pounds. Total 80 pound dog. Sprinkle in with a quarter cup of warm broth, stir well. pour over their dry food and blend in. They won't notice and eat their food. Sneaky but, it works. Saves me tons of money. I have two large dogs and Heart-guard can be very expensive every month so I subsitute during the cool to cold months. You save and your dogs stay healthy from worms. These disposables were a life saver as we struggled to find washable bottoms that fit our Yorkie/Schnauzer mix, Its been challenging to find a vet to spay her during Covid so we were not prepared for the blood stains everywhere she sat her bottom. These wont disappoint. Fit true to size.Lady

Very disappointed in these. The primary problem is the closure, but is not the only issue. My sweet girl is free of them in a minute after I put them on her. The plastic-like outer layer had to be uncomfortable. I will be purchasing something different going forward.Theresa

There was only ONE tab, not two. I had to tape my diaper in order for it to stay on my dog. These diapers are the WORST diapers I’ve ever seen. The instructions and all the pictures say there’s two tabs. I had to get long pieces of clear tape and tape the side that didn’t have the tab and the side with the existing tab to make sure it wouldn’t come off. I tried to put the first one back on my dog and there were holes in it when I took it off once because I had to tape it. I’ve never seen such poor quality things. I could’ve made a diaper and it would still be better than these diapers and I’m not the crafty type. If there was a zero star option I would put that. These are absolutely horrible.Human

This worked great on my dog's irritated ear. It was a weekend AND a holiday, and my poor little guy was so uncomfortable. I couldn't find an open vet anywhere and the ER was packed. After a little research, I decided on the Zymox and found it at my local Petco, which was not only open, but open all day even though it was a holiday. I was so grateful — after the initial shock of me dumping oily stuff in his ear, my dog was more comfortable within an hour and much better within 12 hours. Great product. Pricey, but effective and, of course, a fraction of the cost of a vet visit. Definitely recommend this product.slindt

An old doggo with a history of ear "dirt" that required weekly cleaning, applied these drops for a week and the results were impressive. Using a cotton ball to remove the residue (and icky stuff), and she clearly hears better. As others have commented, the product is oily, just don't over-do with the application, be sure to rub the ears well, and clean off the residue. Recommended.Owl at home

My poor dog has floppy ears and has been shaking his head for weeks. He seemed to have some sort of infection and i tried my best to help him to no avail. I was a bit low on cash to take him to seek help with the vet so i did a search and came across this item. I saw the reviews but had doubts since my dog has been suffering. I brought the solution home. I poured it in the infected ear. The next day already seeing improvement, including less shaking of head. Day 2 is today and so far so good, very little shaking of head. I bought the advantus yesterday. My babies loved them. I paid $54.99 plus tax $4.54 bringing the grand total to $59.53. Now let's break it down $59.53 divided by 30 days of the month that's a $1.98 per day to protect your baby. I do agree it could have had a lot more stuff to help with the fleas & ticks. Now the reason I said it won't work for me, is because I have 21 babies so instead of buying 1 bottle a month I would be buying 3 1/2 bottles. Now that's serious money, just bathe in dawn dish soap. mist them with a flea and tick spray before they go out to potty your good to go. I gave three stars because I bought it yesterday. First, let me state that I was unsure of this product before it arrived, not only because of the amazing price but because I've tried many different flea pills, chews and the liquid forms and none of them seemed to help at all. I have three large dogs and bought a bottle of 30 chews, geared towards smaller to medium size dogs, for around $29 and some change. Normally even after a bath, once my Dogs go outside, fleas are going to jump all over them. We've treated our yard but not only are there many strays in the area, not all of our neighbors treat their dogs or yards. I have given them each 1 chew daily since I got the first bottle, almost on the second bottle now and not one flea has been found alive on them! And very few dead ones, that we've found on their coats. No side effects so far (thankfully) and seemingly this product works extremely well, in my opinion. My standard poodle of 12 years old was struck down with a neuromuscular disease last year and as a consequence ended up mostly blind and deaf with dementia. He was not sleeping, had no spark, spent the whole night pacing the house. We put him on meds plus the brain diet… What a difference! I have been using this product for almost two years. I began using it after my standard poodle had several surgeries on his hind leg, to strengthen his bones. These are high-quality, very absorbent diapers that hold both liquid and solid waste well. The fasteners can be done and re-done a number of times without losing their ability to stick. Although she is a small dog, my 15 1/2-year-old Maltipoo wears the medium size because smaller sizes fall off when she walks. This is the only brand I have found that actually stays on her when she moves around, and that I can adjust so that solid waste does not fall out the sides. Size small is way too big for my girl, she always wears a small in other brands, they come up way to high on her back and if you fold the top down, the tabs wont stick. Tab stickiness sucks even when stuck on the special strip. Won't be purchasing again.Peytongirl

My Dogs love it and have lost weight. They are holding their proper weight now and have lots of energy. Skin and coat has nice condition and they have stopped throwing up dog food after eating. I was on frontline for years but when I thought I saw a couple fleas on my dogs in September 2020, I decided to make a switch to Advantage II for my cats and Advantix II for my dogs— BIGGEST mistake of my life (seriously, like over any horrible exes). I have $515.97 in receipts I submitted to the company (which was as horrible as the experience, which I will get to) and spent an additional $70 in store (in which I cannot find the receipt) since September 2020 to December. I followed every tip on the website and insert and my animals were still covered. I applied perfectly. I applied initially weekly, vacuum daily, steam cleaned, wash bedding constantly, etc. I don’t even have carpet but on the stairs and have treated the stairs and couches with Predcor. I even bought those flea traps with the sticky bottoms. I am not including any of this in that total I spent– that was all on the flea medications themselves for the 6 animals. I have saved some, not all, of the vials so on 11/13 I called Elanco. They denied my request for any type of refund. They questioned my exact dosage dates and frequency more than a doctor wants to know about your menstrual cycles but I took my best guesses, for all 6 animals although I did know what schedule they were on but didn't have it in front of me. Then they said that the product was probably not working because I bathed my dogs initially at the beginning 48 hours before application?? Their website TELLS you to bathe them before application (see 2nd screenshot posted)! I stopped bathing them after the 2nd application as it wasn't working and the dogs were miserable and only tried 2 cats (and really only 1 successfully because we all know how that goes). They then told me that I didn't give the product long enough?? Their website states (see 3rd screenshot) and is the same for Advantage II "K9 Advantix® II kills fleas within 12 hours. New fleas that jump on the dog from the surroundings, such as grass, carpet and pet bedding, are killed within 2 hours with protection against further infestation for at least 4 weeks." I tried their products, $600 worth on 6 animals, as scheduled, no missed doses for 4 months. I can’t blame it on just one animal or one batch—it didn’t work on 6, or one batch! I am very upset. Not only have I wasted money on these but I have bought corresponding products, sprays for the beddings, flea traps, etc. I FINALLY called Terminex and had to spend 12 hours clearing out under my beds, closets, getting everything off my floors, moving furniture etc. (time I will never get back) and getting my children and pets out of the house and went back to the brand that works: FRONTLINE! NO MORE FLEAS– what I should have done in the first place. I am so upset not by the fact that the product didn't work but by the way the company handled it, dodging any responsibility from blaming it on the baths they recommend to the length of time I gave it when they could have just refunded me and had someone that isn't going to not only post this review every place I bought it (not just here) but every other place that allows a review to include social media.Intelhottie

We bought Advantix liquid application anti-flea and tick treatment because it is effective, was less expensive and did not require a prescription. We had easily and successfully used liquid Advantix for years with our Plott hound mix. We now have a beagle. Beagle hair is different; it's thick, coarse, oily, kind of water proof and difficult to part in order to properly apply the liquid to the skin. Advantix is a very good product, but pet owners may want to assess their pet's coat to determine how the liquid application could be applied.Gary

My dog was getting ticks so I purchased this. I have used it in the past with great success when it had the Bayer logo on it . The one I received has the Elanco brand logo on it. I used 1 bottle and It was like I used nothing at all. Mind you I walk my dog and when he comes in the house I would find 2 or 3 live ticks walking on him. So I figured ok maybe it didnt work or I didnt wait long enough. After about 10 days of this I applied another bottle and again nothing. He still kept coming in the house with ticks every time. So I'm not sure exactly what's going on but the package I received appeared to be authentic. All serial numbers matched and packages were sealed well. Purchased this spray from my Vet for $35. Initially worked fairly well. Bought the product here for substantial savings vs Vet. However, the dog had a tendency to lick it off her paw and it was marginally effective. We are now using a steroidal spray, which needs a script and is effective ($17).Mattie M.

My dog loves to spend time outdoors lying the the grass and dirt. She must have sensitive skin and gets irritated areas on her belly. This was initially prescribed by my vet, but it works so well, I make sure to keep it on hand. I also use it on my elderly cat.Mastiff M.

My dog is three legged and her good front foot seems to suffer from an itch in the spring and fall. I spray this on her foot and rub it in and it stops her from chewing at her pads. I also use this on her chest between her front legs when she is scratching and it stops the itch.Jacqueline E.
