Bought Two of these – One for each grand dog home. Shipped to family member where we have Xmas and “Pup Pup”, the resident parcel inspector and delivery announcer went bonkers when the ball was removed from the shipping box. I would recommend this toy for a smaller dog or one who is not a powerful chewer. I know this is not intended to be a chew toy, but realistically, if you have a medium or large dog, they usually have a tendency to chew any toy you put in front of them. I have an English Pointer mix who normally destroys any toy I give him unless I get it from BullyMake or BarkBox. Unfortunately, neither offer a toy that compares to this one in terms of entertainment for your dog. He absolutely loved this toy so it is a shame that he was able to bite chucks out of it within 20 minutes. I can't find the pieces that he took out of it so I'm waiting to see if he passes them. If not, it will be a visit to the vet. He was so sad when I took it away from him and looked at me with those sad brown eyes. I would love to have one of stronger material that he could play with and not have to worry. My dog absolutely LOVES this ball. We got her one when she was just a puppy and it’s been her favorite toy since. She’s had it about 6 months and has destroyed it. I don’t mind buying one every six months because I get my money’s worth. Last night I went to buy her a new one, thinking she will have it another 6 months. WRONG. My Chihuahua really put this to the test! He is very destructive and has torn up many of his toys. After many hours of intense chewing this toy is still intact. It has a very loud squeak and the he loves the sound now. At first it startled him a little bit but now it thrills him. The Hartz Bug Eyes toy is really cute. I received a yellow duck. My dog isn't used to toys that aren't stuffed animals, but she played with this duck okay. She is only 6 pounds, so she didn't have the bite necessary to make his eyes bug out, but she most certainly had the bite necessary to make it scream. 😉 It has a very loud squeal that she loved to hear over and over. 😉 The only issue I had with the Hartz Bug Eyes was the fact that I pulled the plastic tags out instead of cutting them, and they pulled the stuffing out through the holes. We have several Fat Cat toys for our three little indoor dogs: A Jack Russell and two pugs. Our Jack has had some kind of Fat Cat toy over his 10 years; the pugs are younger and also not as enthralled with Fat Cat toys as Teddy, the Jack. We have a variety of the toys: Mean Kitty (like the one pictured), Catfish (a fish with a cat's face) and Gator (a croc or alligator) but Mean Kitty's his favorite and he plays with one or the other multiple times a day. Teddy's gone through other Fat Cat toys over the years including a couple rabbits) but for the amount of time he plays with them, they are made of some really tough material and the stuffing is packed in there tight, making it more difficult to tear up. I try to keep realistic expectations and didn't expect this toy to last very long, but these talking toys provide enough entertainment for my pup to convince me to buy them anyway. unfortunately, the one I received doesn't work…I didn't look at the return policy until now, but with a 20% restocking fee and $11 return shipping…I guess I'm stuck with an overpriced stuffed animal that will be shred in less than an hour. We actually bought two of these Woody's. First one was a Christmas gift for our Bulldog, then a few weeks later we replaced it. You see within three days Woody Lost his voice, then a couple days later he started to rip open. We took it away. For about a week he looked all around for Woody, and seemed to miss him. So we bought the second one. Again, we had one happy Bulldog. But this time Woody's voice was lost within about an hour. But so far, Woody himself is still holding up and bedtime is almost impossible if Woody isn't with Dozer. We'll buy him another or two. Kinda funny just as we wonder where Dozer is, Woody lets up know. Would give 5 Stars if "voice box" would be better protected – at least to a Bulldog's jaws.Lydia434
I gave it 4 stars. It was a few dollars more than when I purchased it less than 3 yeas ago. I had to wait longer since it was a 3rd. party sale. Perhaps that was the reason for a higher price. I prefer to buy direct from Walmart and try avoid The Market products. Well you can see I don't care when it comes to our family pet. He is enjoying this toy and if he's happy, I'm happy. My fur baby is definitely a playful lil thing. She loves tug a war. I love the material. It’s very tough and thick and there is little to no stuffing and I love that so much. Ughhh the hassle of picking up stuffing and toy parts. Ewww lol. Also, my I’m not sure what it is, but my fur baby didn’t eat the squeak ball out of the top of this toy. I got this Checkers Skinny Pig for my sisters little dog. My family and I are in competition to get her the silliest toys we can find. She has a huge basket full of them but since she opened this one she hasn't put it down. She absolutely loves it and looks so silly carrying it around in her mouth. It's perfect for shaking too. The quality is very good. It looks like she won't be able to tear it apart anytime soon which is good because that's her specialty. So I'm happy to say that I am currently in the lead in the silly toy department. This is one toy highly worthy of the basket. Hopefully it won't spend too much time there. So far so good!
