Love the lavender color with the crate, the design and quality. I bought the treat spreads and the one I’ve tried, my dog loves it. He is conditioned now to hear when I open the freezer drawer. The only downside to giving this to him, is that it only lasts a couple of minutes (even when frozen), and it’s not quite long enough to calm him down in his crate. I have put different spreads in yogurt I have made popsicles and the product holds up. I still have a young puppy so I don’t know how this will hold up with a strong chewer. It does promote licking because that’s how your dog can reach his snack and it does calm them and it’s great that it goes in the crate but eventually when the spread or popsicle or whatever it is getting low a dog will chew because dogs are chewers. It’s not really that big of a deal you just have to supervise your pup and remove it. The really big issue with it is cleaning. I literally have to run boiling hot water over it and use a teeny little wire brush to get all the food off and then I run it through the dishwasher. That’s why it gets four stars.Angela K.

I bought this for my new rescue dog as she is very timid. When we first had gotten her, we took her to the vet and had xrays taken of her stomach as she had hard green plastic in her pooh. The xrays also showed she had two very pointy screws in her stomach, so then I realized she likes to chew. The first night with the Huggie Pup was great; however, I noticed in the morning she had opened the back Velcro strip where the heart-beat box was located. The second night, I heard the Velcro being opened again, and knowing she's a chewer, I got up and removed the heart-box. I got up the next morning and looked at the Huggie Pup, the pocket was wide open and pulled out. If I had not take the heart-box out the night before she would have chewed the box to pieces (which has 3-screws) and eaten the batteries! The ball is certainly great for standard use if your dog is just about playing fetch or chasing the ball around. But if your dog is a strong chewer, these tennis balls are not durable. I have a two year old Siberian Husky who loves to chew on things, including her tennis balls after she gets tired of chasing them around. She’s torn several of these Petco tennis balls into pieces in a matter of minutes, versus a gently used regular tennis ball that we found in the yard that took her well over a month to even pierce and split in half. The only reason I keep giving her the Petco tennis balls is because I bought several at once and want to use them up before I buy regular tennis balls. On the plus side, my husky continues to play with the torn up ball even after it’s already been obliterated so she gets at least a solid day out of it. It was fun while it lasted. The first one my 1.5 yr old mini-schnauzer tore within the first week. From my angle, he was rubbing his nose into the gaps to get the treats from the red ball. But I learned quickly that he was chewing on the teal part, and the toy tore at that point. However, I did buy another one and now our family makes sure to watch him while he plays and stops him from chewing it. It is a fun toy and stimulating. Worth trying out in my opinion.
I use this to hide dentabones for my dog. She loves it. She can pretty much get the bone out within a few seconds, but she likes trying to remove the red ball from the inside of this toy too. She did rip it, but she’s a pitbull so i expected to at. The key is to let chewers play with it for a little bit while you watch for them to try to remove the ball inside, then give them a tough bone that they can chew on and take this one away if you’re not watching. I’ve found very few toys that my girl doesn’t destroy and eat, but this is something different that she gets really excited about on sight, so I’d recommend this to any dog as long as you watch them with it.Steph
My one year old goldendoodle is a power chewer and shredder of all things plush. However, she has not torn or shredded this rubber toy. Smaller treats fall too easily out of the center, so I squished a chicken jerky treat that was too large for it inside the red part. The pressure of it being too large holds it in and creates the challenge. She has been entertained for hours so far and it is providing her with the mental enrichment of trying to figure out how to get the treat. She is a smart dog and needs a job to do or she gets herself into trouble. This toy is perfect for her! It’s also a great interactive toy for playing fetch. We love the soft flexible rubber design that bounces erratically but doesn’t cause damage to anything inside the house. It’s easy for her to pick up with her teeth and she can squeeze her nose into the openings. There are no rough edges or hard spots. Perfect toy at a great price! I bought this bone in large for my german shepherd, Hank. Hank will chew through most toys and it's hard to find toys that can hold up to his aggressive chewing. This toy has definitely held up. It bounces, so tossing it around is fun for Hank, and once he tires out, Hank will sit and chew on this for hours. After two months, Hank has still not been able to chew off pieces (a problem with other rubber toys). I almost gave it four stars because it has an unpleasant smell, especially for the first week or so. But the smell has dissipated enough to where I can't really smell it unless I hold it up to my nose. Overall, a very great and durable chew! 10 out of 10!
I love the large solid rubber flavored bones. I have a 5 year old 120 pound golden doodle and he has had his bones for a couple of years now! I sanitize them with boiling water and give them back. I know the commercials are tempting but please do not waste your money. My dog smelled it and took it but she immediately dropped it and walked away and hasnt looked back since. My dog is a 1yr GSD and she'd rather take a nap than play with that bone and thats saying something for a hyper-active puppy! If you dont believe me just look at all the reviews across the internet, they all say the same thing. MOST dogs are NOT interested in this toy. Its an expensive waste of money.Kimora

I purchased a few of these willow branch balls because I felt like my guinea pigs would enjoy something to play with when they are bored. This was a good purchase because both of the cavies love to chew up these balls and reduce it to a pile of sticks. It takes them about one night to completely break down the ball into twigs, and they often steal the ball from one another because they don't like to share and it's just too fun to play with, apparently. I bought the willow branch ball for my 7 month old Mini Lop Bunny, out of all the toys I presented him with, he was definitely most excited about this one. He immediately sought it out amongst the other toys and chewed and tossed the toy until it was completely destroyed. Although he had a ton of fun with it especially compared to other toys such as chew sticks and other toys, it only lasted about a day. The only thing I would suggest changing about this toy is its sturdiness so it could be more durable because he had so much fun with it.BoTheMiniLopBunny
We have bought many of these since adopting our two piggies a couple months ago. They ignore most other wooden treats and chews, but they go nuts for this product. The only reason I rated this at 4 stars instead of 5 is because these don't last very long with our pigs. The two of them can mow through one of these willow balls in about two weeks. I don't mind buying these frequently because I know it is beneficial for keeping their teeth trimmed and healthy. Overall, I think this is a great product.jdunc04
