These beds are very unstable and my 3 dogs will not get on them at all. They just lie down next to them. I have tried everything to coax them onto these beds without success. Each one got on the beds once the day they arrived, the beds moved and wobbled, the dogs leaped off, and none has been willing to try again since. Now I have two folding beds that are essentially useless. Good concept, but the design definitely needs work. Perhaps if the folding mechanism had a lock of some sort to prevent it from folding up when a dog jumps on it would be more stable? I cannot recommend these.drlynn58

This portable bed folds out quick and flat in a second. It appears to be built very light and strong and does not sag onto the crossmember with my 65 lb Lab as one person complained. Used strictly for the grand children when they come for visits…No more than 75 pounds and it works wonderfully. They say it is very comfortable and they sleep soundly and comfortably. We did show on night where there was a condensation stain on the mattress one morning because the child sweated alot. Easily dried after lysol with a hair dryer before storage. Easily folded if you place the matress pad under the folding legs otherwise the velcro on the straps that holds the folded unit closed are not strong enough and need a little more to hold the two sides together in a standing position. An actual snap which can be added to both straps to make it more secure is all it would take. I rate this unit high. It can hold more weight but I would imagine not for long judging bu the size of the springs that hold the canvass to the frame. Wonderful space saving size and very easily carried once folded and stored. Highly recommended for the kids and light adult under 100 poundsmad4hotwheels

It is really easy to set up–just open up one fold, straighten out the leg on each end, pull out the mattress that is stored under the cot, flip it over, and put the mattress on top of the cot. That's it. I have arthritis and getting up off the ground is near impossible, but even though this is only 15 inches high, it is high enough to stand up pretty easily. I'm 5'7 tall and it is plenty long for me. The only drawback is it's fairly big and heavy to store and/or transport. However, I can see this being a replacement for a roll-away bed for guests, especially for children, and it a lot smaller than that.GoldenBeehive

I am so glad that we got to try this cot out! I have two dogs, a Jack Russell and a chow chow. My dogs did not want anything to do with this dog bed the first day and a half. But then we got the idea to put a fuzzy blanket on it and now both my dogs love it! I can’t blame them for wanting a blanket though, because it is winter in Minnesota currently! My plan for the summer is to put this dog bed outside so I am very excited about that! I think this will be my dogs new favorite spot to lay and look outside. My dog loves this cot and I think it’s pretty great too, especially since she loves it. The only change I would recommend to the company though is for the stuffing in the bolster to be bagged so that the bolster cover could easily be washed. I bought this for my dog for a backpacking trip. It is small and lightweight. I inflated it by blowing into the "inflate" hole and made sure it was sealed. Within an hour it was mostly deflated. For the remainder of the week it served as a nice soft suggestion for where my dog should sleep. I inflated it every night and every morning it was completely flat.kate
Purchased so that my 100 pound Akita would quit stealing our Static V’s from us while we were sleeping. The bed is a more durable material than the Static V Insulated and he hasn’t managed to puncture it with his claws. The cover is durable and feels comfortable. The size is just large enough for his 100 pound frame, he hangs off of it when he stretches out but fits nicely when he’s curled up. Although I haven’t slept on it the dog says that it’s comfortable and he prefers it to sleeping on the hard ground. Only downside is that it is a little heavy for backpacking, but worth it if you don’t want the pup stealing your air mattress. All around a good durable pad.Dave P.
I have a 40 lbs border collie mix. The medium bed is just a little smaller/ thinner than I was hoping for, but I think it will work for camping. My dog will lay on the ground, but she will usually try to squeeze onto my sleeping pad with me as the night progresses. Others have mentioned the soft cover is just a tad too small for the bed when the dog bed is inflated. When inflated and with or without the cover, the bed makes the loud ‘crunch’ sound that many inflated pads make when my dog lays on it or moves around on it. I set it up in the bedroom to introduce my dog to it. She is a bit timid and hasn’t warmed up to it yet. I haven’t seen her lay on it except when I tell her to go lay on it. I’ve sat on it after blowing it up and it is ok/ fine. Should give her just barely enough height to keep her off the hard ground for the night.Joseph

The quality of this product, hands down, is some of the best out there. The bed has excellent loft for a heavy duty travel bed, wipes clean, and quickly rolls up into a manageable size. The rubberized bottom holds the mat securely in place. The size is perfect for our cattle dog and our border collie, but I can certainly see folks wanting to buy a larger size mat for larger dogs. We always bring travel mats if the girls visit friends' homes with us. That said, there are a couple improvements I would like to see: 1. It would be nice if there was such a thing as a mostly waterproof brushed surface. This particular bed is too slippery for use in the car and every time my husband drives around a corner, the dogs have to dig their claws in (we put travel beds on top of the Kurgo hammocks so each girl knows her space..). 2. The buckles / loops for the Velcro, while effective, create a bump under the cushion. A reinforced Cordura sort of loop might work better.Boomer
This bed is extremely well made, GREAT cool red color. It is easy to fold into a small roll and has a great carrying handle. I love the slip-proof material on the underside. At first our dog was hesitant about laying on the fabric- he only knows fleece or shearling- but then he got used to it and now loves to lay on it by the front door and watch the neighborhood. Our weather has not permitted outdoor use yet. My only complaint is that it only come in a size medium, which is way too small for our 64 lb Lab puppy. It would not be functional for us. Hopefully they will come out with larger sizes.Shelley
I purchased the medium loft wander bed several years ago, and this bed has never let me down. I use it mainly for overnight trips and dog training, giving my pups designated rest zone in busy areas. The picture angles are a little funny, making it look a bit too small for my pups. However, my 75 pound lab can fit his body and elbows making it a perfect size travel bed. I did have to make one tiny repair to the seam between the liner and the main top, but with how much I use/wash it any other bed would be toast by now. This bed is worth the money!Frierborn49

The one I had with the cot lasted about 3 years for my 88 lbs husky that uses it daily and even run and jump on it like a trapeze. I even leave it outside all the time. She ripped off the zipper in the first week and tore through the pillow and Now I have to throw away the bed because the whole bottom is ripped out.. I am so glad that we got to try this cot out! I have two dogs, a Jack Russell and a chow chow. My dogs did not want anything to do with this dog bed the first day and a half. But then we got the idea to put a fuzzy blanket on it and now both my dogs love it! I can’t blame them for wanting a blanket though, because it is winter in Minnesota currently! My plan for the summer is to put this dog bed outside so I am very excited about that! I think this will be my dogs new favorite spot to lay and look outside. I feel like I needed to only give 4 stars because I needed to add a blanket before my dogs were interested in it, but I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new dog bed/cot!
My dog loves this cot and I think it’s pretty great too, especially since she loves it. The only change I would recommend to the company though is for the stuffing in the bolster to be bagged so that the bolster cover could easily be washed. My dog loves her bolster, but when she gets drool on it, it’d be nice if the stuffing was self-contained inside to be pulled out easily for the cover to be washed quickly as it says it’s machine washable.Jerseygalrocker
