No its like everything else I have tried does not work I can't even get my cats to get it down. When I first got it I let my cat smell it and he literally gagged (should have stopped there)?then I put it in a syringe and gave it to him and he threw up right after I gave it to him. My 20 y.o. senior cat has had upper respiratory issues since he was 1 year old, but had gotten so chronic and so bad that he has literally had a stuffy nose and sneezing for an entire year straight. The only thing my vet knew of that might help was an off-label use of Cerenia, which is expensive and was hard to get him to take. Since my dog hasn't had a history with this, and doesn't seem to have seasonal allergies, the vet suggested an antimicrobial for the eye irritation and I went with this ophthalmic gel based on the luck I've had with other Vetericyn products in the past. I started with a tiny drop on the corner of my dog's eye to be sure he wouldn't have any reaction to it. Later that day, I went ahead and applied a few drops in each of his eyes. I applied the gel two times a day for three days in a row and by the fourth day his eyes had stopped having discharge. It is almost like my dog knew the drops would make him feel better as he kept his head very still when I applied the gel to his eyes. While it is a "gel," it comes out of the dispenser fairly quickly which I find allows for an accurate application. I've tried the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Anti fungal Spray for Dogs and Cats on a few of our outside cats. They've been deflead but one still kept scratching and losing fur just above her tail. I'm not sure if it's an allergic reaction to the fleas or if it's the result of a thyroid problem. But we tried this spray and the itching stopped immediately. It's been almost 3 weeks and she still isn't scratching it. I also wanted to try this on some ringworm that a few of the outside cats have. I've been spraying this on for almost 3 weeks now but haven't really seen any improvement with the ringworm spots that I'm treating. Ringworm can respond slow to treatments anyway so I'm not sure if this is going to help with that or not. The spray is a pump and it has a light citrus smell, kind of like oranges. It will not harm your pet if they lick it. It didn't list a minimum age that you can use it on. It contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Keratin, and Aloe Vera. It's listed as an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial. To use this you just spray the area tell really wet, twice daily for a week, then once daily for another week. I read the reviews for this product but was still a bit skeptical for it to actually work. One of my cats (2 yr old orange tabby) literally scratched the size of a 50 cent bare spot (literally overnight) in center of his back below shoulder blade. By the end of the day the circle was warm red inflamed and gross. Being on a tight budget I did my research for home remedies. First I began applying a year old vet prescribed Dermalone antibiotic that was prescribed for one of my other cats for 3 days but area got worse. Then began applying Neosporin for 2 days lightly on and around scab now and ( luckily the spot was where he could not reach to lick off) and it did nothing as well. A week later purchased this product, followed the directions and a week later the area was completed healed. Scab dried and fell off and new skin looks perfect and normal. Unfortunately I dont know what this was for did not take him to a vet. Infected area did resemble pictures of ringworm online. Apoquel has done wonders for my German Shepherd who recently developed seasonal allergies at six years old. He was scratching and biting at himself 24/7 and he caused an infection on his foot from the constant licking. He was so miserable until our vet put him on apoquel along w an antibiotic for his infection. The apoquel worked very quickly with relief felt later the same day he started. I am a vet assistant, and I see all kinds of animals coming in with different skin conditions or allergies and always felt so bad for them and their owners….. then I got a dog with allergies and then I found out what it's really like…. it is devastating watching your dog itch and scratch to the point of pulling their hair out, then when the hair is gone… then there goes their skin…. they will make themselves bleed and still won't stop. I tried benadryl I tried EVERYTHING, had to even do skin antibiotics and steroid Injections and still he was itching…. so… the dr tried him on this….. now… first thing I will say is this medication isn't cheap especially for bigger dogs (if you have a 10lbs dog it's not going to be too bad) but my poor dog had to start off taking 2 16mg 2 times a day and it was roughly 300 for the first month, however from there you taper down and after a few months I got him down to half a tablet once daily…. anyway…. this medication worked like a dream for him. He hasn't had any issues for over a year now and although sometimes he scratches its more of a normal itch. This medication literally saved him and my sanity. The product is easy to use and doesn't seem to cause any discomfort in any way to my 2 dogs eyes. Seems to break up the goo "slightly" when put on cotton and gently used to clean their eyes. This product doe NOT "whiten" the eye area at all! I was hoping it would whiten as my white dog has VERY stained tear duct areas and I haven't found anything that really works! I haven't really tried too many cleaners because I do NOT want to cause discomfort or irritation to their eyes being such a very sensitive area to be cleaned. My indoor only cat has had some discharge around her eyes. Decided to try the Cliny Eye Cleaner. I used a cotton ball and wiped her eyes really good with the cleaner. She didn't seem to mind it at all so it must not have burned or irritated her. The lotion feels really smooth and wipes on easily. With water as part of the composition I don't think there should be any problem with it. To be fair about this review, this is the first time I have used this product with no problem. This is my third order for the Occusoft Plus Eye Pads. I have occular rosacea. I was "washing my eyes" twice a day. Optometrist gave me samples of the Occusoft Pads to try. I have very sensitive eyes and was not sure if I should use them. I tried them and was amazed to have a better feel of comfort for my dry eyes. My wife's dry eyes have been diagnosed to cause double vision in each eye. Ophthalmologist recommended Ocusoft Lid Scrub Plus together with eye-drops to try and get her tearing well enough to keep her eyes moist. Apparently her eyes were puddling without completely covering and this caused double vision through each individual eye. We haven't been back to Ophthalmologist for followup yet. As far as the Lid Scrub working we believe it is. In morning we find very little "crud" contaminants in her eyes whereas before there was usually crud. My Pomeranian is 14 1/2 yrs old. She was diagnosed with trachea collapse. The doctor suspected she had Cushings Disease, and I'm quite sure she has. She has all the symptoms of bloated belly, hair loss, skin infections. too thirsty and urination problems. I bought the Adrenal support drops, and I'm beyond amazed at how well she is doing. This really is amazing stuff. My vet said that my 14 year old jack russell's days were numbered. Other than an increase in thirst levels, my dog Tifa didn't have any other symptoms of note when she was diagnosed with Cushings and I decided to put her on the Adrenal Support and HMR Lignans. I wanted to see actual blood test proof of improvements, not just go by my personal assessment that she seems like she is drinking less water – I could just be seeing what I want to see. We have two short hair chihuahuas and they are very dandruffy. Anytime they get a nice scratch they're covered in dandruff. Especially noticeable because they have black fur. The bites are bug for my cat, i have to split it into 3 so she can eat it. She loved it at first but then didn’t care much about it. I highly recommend this product. I’ve been using Zymox for years. My terrier mix has Ear Edge Dermatitis. It’s incurable and usually tears up the edges of the ear from constant cell overgrowth (auto immune) and dogs will be plagued with constant ear issues and itching. When I notice him itching, I put a few drops in ear and massage into ear canals, then rub into the edges of ears. Do this for a couple days, itching stops, ears are clean and have a healthy pink look. It’ll be several weeks before he starts itching again. I've always liked Zymox products, but this one really impressed me! GSD/BC mix has had continual ear issues since having a hematoma drained in her right ear. The ear lays over and is full of thicker tissue which seems to hold in a ton of moisture. This last bout of pain and scratching was making her (and me!) absolutely crazy and, after a week of use, the regular Zymox I always have on hand just wasn't cutting it. I did a bit of searching and found the Zymox plus advanced formula and figured I'd give that a try before resorting to a vet visit, antibiotics, steroid drops, etc. After the second day of use, she stopped shaking her head, scratching and whining. I wash the compress by hand in cool water with a small amount of Dawn (original blue) dishwashing detergent. The Moist Eye Compress was recommended to me by my doctor, as I am susceptible to styes, which seem to be related to eye dryness. It's easy to heat up using the microwave, and truly delivers moist mild heat, which soothes my eyes. I'm completely blown away by this product. I stopped giving apoquel to my dog, not only because of the expense (costing more than $200 a month), but also because of all the reviews I have read about the danger to a dog's immune system with prolonged use. But my large German shepherd continued to scratch and scratch and scratch. After the first application of Skin Tonic Spray for Pets & People, his itching subsided greatly. After the second application a few days later, he stopped scratching completely. I don't know how you managed it, but this stuff is gold! I have intentionally waited to write a review because I wanted to give enough time to see if the Fidoplex was going to make a difference. I bought this supplement a year ago because my cavalier king charles spaniel had recently experienced two bad episodes with ivdd and she’s only 4 years old. It’s so painful to see your little one suffer like that and the treatment is slow to help, although the laser treatments and steroids did return her to her old self. We took our Newfie/Lab to the vet to get vaccinated for a training class. Shortly after his shots, he developed a skin allergy with two hot spots on each hip.
