Best Tile Floor Cleaner For Dog Urine (Jan 2023 Update)

With a household of both cats and dogs (owning/dogsitting/fostering), you can imagine lots of accidents are bound to happen. Having longhaired cats, hairballs, and one that likes to go outside of the litter box when he's "mad" at me for being gone too long, I need a good enzyme cleaner for all the messes that are made! The Nature's Miracle Advanced Stain and Odor eliminator gets the job done. I can literally see the stain breaking down when I spray this, and then I blot it up. I took off one star because the scent is overwhelming for me, and I'm not a fan. I have a sensitive nose, and the smell of it just reminds me that this is a pet household where accidents happened. If they could make it a more subtle scent, I'd be happy. Although maybe the reason why the fragrance is so strong is to cover up the smell, so who knows…Kathleen K

I moved into a house where 2 dogs tore up the house because of negligent pet owners. one dog was larger and was only let out once or twice a day on his leash to do his business. they gave away the smaller dog eventually because it was hyperactive and kept urinating on the carpet. they abandoned the house and their mess along with it… the slumlord vacuumed but I went over it with the Arm and Hammer animal odor eliminated stuff and my Dyson ball for animals vacuum, then let the house air out for a few hours. it perfumed the smell and still reeked of dogs. then I rented a Rug Doctor from Wal Mart and used the Rug Doctor shampoo for animals… I went over the carpet twice (spraying forward and back) and once again opened the windows and doors for a few hours. keeping in mind my 2 year-old son has had allergic conjunctivitis and a fever from going in and out of this disaster area for 2 days, I am enraged at this point because the overwhelming perfume smell was gone but the dog smell was still obviously there. I went to Petco last night to find ANYTHING with a hefty price tag on it that looked like it would work (without having to rent a carpet cleaner again) and bought this for $15.99 along with a lavender-scented Arm and Hammer odor-eliminating candle (which I haven't tested yet). I went over every inch of that God-forsaken carpet… today, the air in that placed is finally neutralized!!! there is a faint smell of the spray but 1.) I cant express how much I don't care, considering what I've been through, literally, already and 2.) that will be remedied with an air purifier and my candle (or any oil burner, diffuser, or potpourri- I never recommend air sprays). my only suggestion is that if you are under the same circumstances I was and plan on spraying as much as I did, wear a rubber glove because it leaks onto your fingers and the smell doesn't wash off. that said, I suggest renting a carpet cleaner using this brand's shampoo to save yourself time, effort, and frustration, if you ever find yourself in my situation… and apparently order it online since it's cheaper?Raynie

I was told it didn't have to be cleaned up from where it was used, but after first use, there were suds indicating a cleaning substance which I cleaned up and dried. I was told it was a safe to use around children and pets ingredient, but not what it is. My mom's dog is 17 years old, blind and incontinent. All of the reviews that state this thing works are true. My teenagers were in charge of keeping the litterbox clean because we have two cats. They do an excellent job of keeping up with it in general. They did, however, become a touch sluggish over the break. The smell was so awful that I was practically retching by the time I smelled it from down the hall and told them to clean it. The damage had been done, even with the clean litter, and all I could smell was cat urine. So I came on here and read all the 5-star ratings and decided that even if it only functioned half as well as the reviews said, it would be a success. So when it arrived, I just opened the bottle and poured about a third of the liquid over our laminate floor and sprayed it on the walls surrounding the litterbox. I set it aside for an hour. However, even standing outside the room, we instantly saw a difference. I also brought the litterbox outside and sprayed it with this stuff, but I didn't let it sit, instead wiping it down with baby wipes. After an hour, I washed everything out, replaced the clean litterbox in the room, and went outside to clear my nose to see if I could smell cat urine. I couldn't smell it. My children couldn't either. I invited my MOTHER (who despises cats and is a stickler for cleanliness) over for the grand verdict, and asked her to smell not only the house, but the room as well. She was taken aback by the fact that she couldn't smell anything, and she actually stated it smelled GOOD! It does have a light herbal aroma to it that isn't bad. If you're looking for a product that is great at lifting urine stains as well as the odor, I definitely recommend Nature's Miracle Urine Destroyer Plus. We recently got our first dog and potty training has been more than a bit of struggle. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money on anything else like I did. I was literally at the point of tears after buying a used sectional and realizing there was cat pee on a large section and it STUNK, like gag a maggot. I used vinegar, baking soda, then shampooed it with RugDoctor pet stain remover. Then tried Angry Orange Odor eliminator, then Rocco and Roxy urine odor remover (which actually did help but still left way too much stink in the bad spots) I used it like 3x. I was about to drag the sofa out into my yard and set it on fire. Literally. Then I decided to try 1 more thing… and thank God I tried this. It took care of 98% of the smell after the 1st treatment. Works good so far. The only issue I had was dispensing the foam. It didn’t come out very easily. Maybe I didn’t hold the can upside down enough. I had to use my hand to spread the foam. But it worked. The main thing is my cat is not urinating on my couch so far.petcogil

I bought this product after my kids, who flip houses, raved about how well it worked. Last night my year old dog was sprayed by a skunk point blank. In the process of trying to get him quarantined and deal with the smell, my clothes were saturated with the awful stink. I thought it would be worth trying this product on the horrific smell. Lots of clean up today of dog, tile floor from when I walked back in after catching said dog, and of course, everything I was wearing in addition to his bedding. Dear Clorox, this product is legit. I have tried to convince my friends and family…well really any household with males about this product, and not one person has heard of it. Don't know how I managed without this product, before. I have been using this for almost a year now for times when my dog can't get out (really severe weather) and misses the wee-wee pad (which does happen on occassion). If it is solid matter, I just pick it up with toilet paper, wipe the spot gently with a paper towel to remove any excess material, then spray the area and wait a few minutes. I wipe afterward with more paper towels and — all better, no oder, no stain. If it is urine, I usually use enough towels to blot it up first, then spray liberally, wait a few minutes and blot away! I have a cat that my vet calls "the weirdest cat she's ever seen" in her 20 years of practice. Every three years, like clockwork, he has an episode that ends up with him peeing on the bed. This time it was so bad it actually soaked through the mattress protector. I had used the previous iteration of this product the last episode, and so tried this "new" version. Yes, when you open the bottle is smelled horrific. I literally gagged. But I had to get the urine out somehow so I took a chance. I discovered that once you pour it (in my case saturate the area on the mattress), something with the oxidation makes it smell like regular cleaner. It's strong at first, but then fades away. One thing I did differently this time that seemed to make the product work better is to follow their suggestion and after saturation, cover the area with a damp towel. Most importantly, it pulled out all the urine from my mattress and got rid of the smell. It does leave a little discoloration when poured on directly, but that doesn't bother me for the mattress. I also added it to the wash for the sheets/comforter, and it got the pee smell out and there wasn't any discoloration.kadc

This is honestly the most amazing spray I have ever used. Nothing compares, and I recommend it all of time. I deal with a lot of stains having two cats and a toddler. One of our cats has a problem and has urinated in our garage on unsealed concrete. I thought the odor was a lost cause, but we had a spray bottle of Nature's Miracle in the cupboard for dealing with other accidents and tried it on the garage floor. They changed the formula, and my guess is it was to save money, due to supply issues with ingredients, or both. Works to get the stain out, does not neutralize the order enough my dog will not continue going in the same place. He's pretty young and learning but this isn't very helpful when people want the product to work as claimed, not a money back guarantee. I want the old product back that works and no hassles due to false claims. Anyone that used the old product knows, you put a new product in the old bottle and didn't so much as ask long time users anything. It also doesn't work on cat urine. My cat had missed her box in a storage room and as I tried to clean it up it spread underneath various storage containers. I washed the vinyl floor with vinegar and water twice without success. The maintenance person suggested this product. After taking everything out of the room I sprayed it heavily an d left it for 15 minutes and then dried it. The next morning I could still smell some urine so I repeated heavily spraying and letting it sit for 15 minutes and then drying it. There is no more smell at all. Let’s talk cat urine. My elderly cat peed on my nice Karastan rug, why? I don’t know. The vet ruled out UTI and she has a nice clean litter box, two of ‘em to be exact. Anyway, it made my whole room smell like cat pee. I bought this as a last ditch effort and took my spot bot over the entire rug. First round so far it has eliminated 80% of the smell. I wish I could provide an insight to this product, however once getting it home, opening the bottle and filling the machine, the tank cracked and the machine is now in the trash. I didn't know what to think from reading the other reviews. Some swear it worked, others say it was useless. Here's my experience. When my Bernedoodle first got sprayed, I used the hydrogen peroxide formula you read about all over the Internet. Although, it got all the yellow stain off his coat, the smell was still horrendous. I waited a week thinking it would dissipate over time but there was no improvement whatsoever. Accordingly, I set out to purchase a commercial product and settled on Nature’s Miracle. Initially, I didn’t think it had worked at all – I was in the camp of the 1 star reviews. But then I noticed a small improvement the following day, maybe 10-20%. You might think it was just time not the product, but trust me, after living with the smell for over a week I could tell there was an improvement not related solely to the passage of time. I called the Nature’s Miracle support line to ask how often I could reapply it without harming my dog’s coat. The agent advised repeat applications were fine as long as I waited a few days in between. More importantly, she advised that I should not rinse him off before using it, like you normally do before applying shampoo. That was my mistake with the first application. I had assumed he had to be rinsed first in order for the product to lather up. In any event, after a second “dry-coat” application Nature’s Miracle got rid of at least 90% of the smell…hallelujah! So, follow the instructions, apply it dry and repeat if necessary…it will work. My only advice to the company is to add “Do not rinse first” to the instructions. It just seems natural to rinse before shampooing your dog, washing your car or whatever so adding that little tidbit of information should help customers like me to apply it properly the first time.Hombre

This was an ok cleaner for pet related messes. I bought the one that has enzymes that is suppose to help neutralize the smell. I have a small chihuahua and even though she’s trained to go to the bathroom outside or on a pee pad, she still sometimes loves to go on any carpets/mats we have lying around our house. This spray helped with cleaning that up but I honestly didn’t really notice it helping to eliminate or neutralize the urine smell. It got most of the stain out but to get rid of the smell or to prevent her from going back to that same spot, I still have to take the carpet and wash it in my washing machine. It’s handy to have if she eats something bad and throws up on the tile or hardwood floor but in terms of neutralizing smell, not so much. Would I buy it again? Maybe. This is the second time in 3 weeks our black lab has been sprayed by a skunk. People had referred us to this the first time after the fact. This time we did the home remedy of 1 quart hydrogen peroxide, 1/4 cup baking soda and a teaspoon of dawn. We did that twice, then use a full bottle of Nature’s Miracle Skunk Odor Remover. Instead of using dog shampoo like the product recommends after sitting in the dogs for 5 minutes, we really worked in baking soda into the fir before we washed off this product. The dog barely smells and really, the only spot that smells very little is one spot lower on the back we missed. Overall I would recommend this!BlackLabBeauty

This product works great! It has a mild smell that is a chemical type smell, but that means it works, in my opinion. I am able to spray it on our shoes and rugs and carpet and it doesn’t damage anything. I don’t spray it when my animals are close by. It says it kills the corona virus that animals contract. I have a small male cat whose age was a little hard for myself and my local vet to pin down in his first few visits. It turns out that although my cat is awfully small, and despite him being cute to where my neighbors think he is a female, he is very much a full grown Tom Cat at this point. He needs to be neutered, but his appointment is still some months away and apparently last month he just decided to become an aggressively territorial little meany and he started spraying anything left unattended whenever he didn't get what he wanted. Mail, packages, a cookie tin (I was also confused at this one), baskets of laundry, a plastic grocery bag, and my entire living room became his primary targets. Up until now I had tried using everything to remove the smell and nothing would work. I'd deep clean the whole apartment, take a walk outside to neutralize my nose, and open my front door again to just be greeted by the same persistent cat spray stench.Cue Angry Orange. I read the reviews and instructions and basically deduced that this should NEVER be used on untreated wood and plastic. Using a little math from the guidelines on the back of the bottle I used 2 Tablespoons (measured with metal measuring spoons) in 16 Ounces of warm water inside of a glass spray bottle ***.it's perfect! I sprayed the carpeted areas I knew for sure that he had targeted heavily and I even sprayed some onto a rag to wipe down nearby hard surfaces and walls that may have been caught in the crossfire. I kid you not it worked almost immediately. Even after initially spraying I smelled the horrendous cat spray stench after a panicked search I found a literal gooey sticky puddle of cat urine that had congealed *retch* under a glass vase. I sprayed the vase and washed it down, plus I sprayed the surface it was sitting on and wiped it clean ***.gone Perfect. Absolutely KILLED the stank.Once the carpets dried I used my carpet shampooer (Hoover PowerDash for Pets) with just warm water and a bit of urine neutralizer and the results are great! Just make sure to fully empty and clean your shampooer afterwards to avoid the plastic destruction other reviews have shown. It's not advisable to use Angry Orange directly in these types of machines as Orange oil/peels are somewhat caustic.H2O

My 82 year old mother-in-law has 3 dogs in the house, and they have had regular accidents during training. As soon as you walked in the house, you could smell the funky odor that resulted. It was really bad.I bought this, and four spray bottles at the dollar store. Mixing it this way was a breeze. Dividing the bottle into fourths, then just adding water was all that was required.My wife and mother-in-law sprayed it on very heavily and scrubbed it in once the base padding and carpet was soaked thoroughly. An ultraviolet light in a darkened room is very helpful looking for missed stains.The very next day, the house had a very pleasing orangey citrus smell. The dogs are now completely housebroken, and best of all that nasty smell was gone.I have to admit that I thought it would require removing the carpet and padding to be rid of the smell. I can't be 100% sure why she started doing this, but I assume it's because she's a cat, and I had the nerve to come home after work one day and pet her in a way where she would be forever disgusted with me. (i took her to the vet, nothing wrong medically)It was a fairly small area on the capet, so I decided to dump a gallon of highly rated enzyme cleaner thinking that would for sure do the trick. I shouldn't have expected too much, the enzyme cleaner was only like $50.00. Fast forward a day or two, and the carpet smells like enzyme cleaner and cat pee, which in my opinion, was more offensive than just the cat pee.At this point I can't get the smell of enzyme cat pee out of my nose, so I hire professional carpet cleaners. $308.00 later my carpet looks like the day it was installed , but I also had the brand new carpet / cat pee smell which it didn't when it was first installed.At this point I thought the only solution would be to replace the carpet with wood flooring. I mean, I'm already $1000 in the hole from vet visits, carpet cleaning, cat pee enzyme enhancer, most expensive cat food known to man, thinking that would make her stop being mad at me. And then I stumbled across this little gem as a last resort.I receive the shot glass of angry orange, put some in a spray bottle with some water, and give the carpet 5-6 sprays and go to bed. When I wake up what do I smell, nothing, absolutely nothing. I stick my nose to the carpet and just smell a slight hint of orange, and precisely 4% cat pee. So I get out my trusty spray bottle again, give it a few more sprays, wait 10 minutes, dry the carpet, and only 1% cat pee. I am fairly confident after 1-2 more times I won't even be able to smell it when I bury my nose in the carpet.I'm not sure what wizard made this stuff, but I feel like I should start a go fund me for him, because he saved me several thousand dollars in new floors.Oh, and I case anyone was wondering, my cat did stop peeing on the carpet. How did I get her to stop you ask? I put a litter box right where she was peeing and now she pees in that. Brilliant, right? I just wish I would have thought of that $1,000 ago.jason b.
