I am extremely pleased with how handy the Mobile Dog Gear Week Away Bag is. Even though mine is a small size, it is plenty big for a larger dog and is actually the perfect size for our 4 month old Golden Retriever. The collapsible bowls are high quality and plenty large enough for a full meal for a large dog at 2 cups. The storage containers also hold 5 cups of food! The bag is lined and insulated and was able to keep our high value chicken training treats cool with a single ice pack. Very easy to carry with the short or long handle. Very well made. If I had one suggestion, it would be to include a water bottle. Luckily we had a good reusable bottle, but that would be a nice addition.

I wanted a soft crate with a top opening for my puppy that will be arriving in mid July. As a pet sitter, I've seen my clients crates and as good as they were, this one is that much better. It's good looking, has openings on three sides and the top plus has foldable shades on all openings. It comes with a sherpa inside mat that's not plush by any means but does the job. I called customer service when I ordered and they helped me pick the right size and told me that if I wasn't happy when I received it to let them know and they'd pick up the original and ship me the new size. Fabulous overall experience. Product was received in a timely manner, well packed, and the product itself is the best! There are too many junky soft-sided crates on the market. This one is sturdy, putting it together is a snap, and the pad inside can be replaced with all kinds of options when needed. We generally replace a pad on the inside about once a year just to keep them fresh. Our dogs actually like the blue ‘cooling’pads more than big fluffy pads anyway, but they are Shelties with a lot of hair. The crate itself is just superior and I have just ordered a second one for another pup arriving soon. Really, I can’t say enough good things about this crate. If your pup is a chewer you might consider a hard crate temporarily till they move out of the chewing phase but there isn’t much to chew on in these crates anyway as the canvas outer shell is very tight doesn’t give much leeway to chew. And our current 6 month old Sheltie goes in to the crate to lay down completely on his own – it’s his own little abode and he is content.Joy F.
Fell apart roughly a year after purchase. The plastic pieces / connectors for the frame literally hardened and crumbled. The crate was never used to travel anywhere either. If I had known that I would have simply contested the charges for this piece of junk and bought another crate from somebody else who won't keep me sitting here. I have three of these, two small and one medium, and have friends who bought this on my recommendation. My breeder/handler usually ONLY approves of hard-sided kennels for car travel but this, she approves of without hesitation. I have a small dog as do my friends and you can SAFELY USE THIS on the front seat if your doggie is small enough not to set off the seat belt. I would not use anything else and either would my doggie. HE HATES THE CRATES AND I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT FAST STOPS AND HIM HITTING THE HARD SIDE OF A NORMAL CRATE. Im not tipically a fan of soft carriers due to them collapsing on themselves even with the animal inside but this one is better than most for its other features. I used it a few times to transport my cats to vet appointments, the zipper is thick and strong so theres no easy escape. The carrier is a thick material but lightweight, wipes clean easy and store pretty flat. The strap is really nice for carrying my larger cats and the interlocking handles make for easy work. Working with the humane society ill keep this in my car for quick rescues and transports as well as my own catsToriK13
I bought this today at PetCo and although it says it is for a pet up to 25 lbs, my 15 lb cat looks very snug in it. The pad is not as cushioned as I would have liked, so I bought the smallest crate pad I could find. Unfortunately, that made it even smaller inside. It's sturdy and well-built, good frame and can be stored flat unzipped. It comes with a clip on expandable bowl. Great product. I just wish it had come a bit bigger.Arali
This is a really nice looking pet carrier. Both of my cats love the side opening, they like to take nape in there. The quality is really nice, you can tell that the construction is solid and will home up well. Maple issues I have that really brought the rating down are: 1. None of the zippers have locking features on them, and it’s easy for my cats to sneak out. 2. When using the front and back openings, the carrier isn’t structured enough to stay open unless both the front and back remain zipped closed. This makes it a struggle to coax a cat inside when the opening is smooshed. 3. The mesh for the cats to breathe through and see out of is really dark. They don’t have good visibility when inside, and it’s hard to me to check on them because it’s so dark. Overall, I think it’s not the best carrier because these design flaws are too big in my opinion to justify having this carrier when there are others that don’t have these design issues.Sarah

I have a 5.5 lb chihuahua who traveled in this carrier without issue. I love the fact that it is light and compact, with the color that matches his fur. It also fit easily on top of my luggage and was able to roll him on top before/after the flight. I was able to fit him, his favorite blanket, toy and water bottle for the flight. SIZING Although advertised as for pets up to 25lbs, I think this carrier is really more suited for dogs 10-12 lbs or under. My dog is 6lbs and there is a good amount of space for her to turn around and move, but I would imagine a dog larger than 12lbs would be a very snug fit. I have another dog who is 16lbs (with some fluff) and there is no way he would fit comfortably. See attached picture for size comparison. CONSTRUCTION This bag feels very well made. It is not flimsy like other soft-sided carriers and is more like a hybrid between soft + hard sided. If you press down on the bag, it will retain its structure. It is well ventilated and has two entry points for your pet: one large zippered opening in the front and another small zippered opening on the side. There is also a top “petting pocket” which I find handy to check in on my pup when we’re out and about. The hardware (zippers and buckles) seem very sturdy and are of metal construction. They have a dark gold finish to them which I think looks very modern. STORAGE There are two storage compartments on this bag. The first is a large storage pocket located on the small side of the bag. It contains a dedicated poop bag compartment + dispensing opening. The second is a smaller, zippered compartment on the back of the bag that is enough space for your phone, a few cards, and other small essentials. There is also a D-ring in the back to clip the included collapsible bowl + any other accessories you have. I attach her bowl and some hand sanitizer for easy access. FEATURES There is a trolley sleeve built-in on the back side (behind the zippered pocket) which is really handy for travel! The removable mat is semi water repellent, so if you catch a spill quick it is pretty easy to clean. It also folds in half and can be opened as additional lounging space for your pup. When not in use, it is secured via velcro and stays well put in the bag. This is a great feature if you have a dog that likes to dig before getting comfy like my dog. The built in leash clip is handy for keeping your pet contained. It is non-adjustable and has a length of approximately 12 inches. IMPROVEMENTS While overall a really great carrier, there are just a few minor things that I think would improve the product. There are currently no non-skid “feet” on the bottom of the bag. Adding in some feet would increase the safety and prevent your pet’s carrier from sliding around on hard surfaces. It would also help protect the bottom of the bag from damage as you are out and about traveling. To remedy this, I added some adhesive non-skid rubber feet originally meant for furniture. Works great! No sliding and I don’t worry about scratching up the bottom of the bag. The shoulder strap could also use some more padding. It works well for me for short trips, but after a while the weight can be a little taxing on my shoulder, and my dog is already on the lighter side. These minor details to me are not deal-breakers, but it is good to be aware before purchasing. CONCLUSION Overall, I would highly recommend this carrier to any pet parents, especially one looking for a modern, updated version of the classic travel carrier! It would be best for pets under 12 lbs and a great addition for traveling pets.Rena
This is a great travel carrier! It has plent of pockets all the way around so if you like taking your pet places you can put treats, waste bags, leashes, even your own wallet and cell phone for convenience. The fact that it has a large attachable, collapsible dish for food or water is very nice also. It has both shorter handles and a large, padded shoulder strap makes carrying it convenient and comfortable to go places. My larger dog likes the fold out side with the padded bed for laying on. The only issue I had is it says it fits pets up to 25 lbs, mine are all under 18 lbs and when it is completely closed it is a tight fit for my two larger dogs, 18 and 16 pounds but if I leave the top open they were more comfortable. It has a attached leash built inside to keep them from jumping out and is very sturdy so does not seem like it will come loose. Both ends and one whole side along with the top so easy to get my dogs in it.Angel

I got this little dog for my Mother In Law who lives in an Assisted Living Facility for her Birthday, She used to have a Golden Retriever and she just loved this little stuffed toy. My only gripe is that interior dimensions of the carrier should be posted. At the moment of writing, only the exterior dimensions are listed. The exterior pockets take away quite a bit of interior room, so it was a bit of a tight fit for our chi x dachshund mix. She is within the weight limit but long (14-15 inches long from base of neck to base of tail.) She can lay down and turn around, however. This is an amazingly high quality carrier. For now, I think this is the best we can do for our dog. Should we find something of the same quality but slightly bigger interior dimensions, we would buy it immediately, and use this carrier for our calm senior cat instead. Great buy, no regrets! Just know that if your dog is longer or at the edge of the weight limit, it may be a tight fit due to the pockets taking up a bit of space. I have yet to use it but anxious to find out how easy it will be to close the bag without having to struggle keeping it closed just to zipper it (like my current pet carrier). If you love/value your pet like family, consider investing in keeping them safe like family. Pets are at greater risk of being hurdled to their death or being severely injured if riding in the car on the drivers lap or loose in the vehicle. I purchased this for my Toy Aussie who will be coming to his forever home in April when he turns 8 weeks old. I love this Passenger carrier. I love the fact you can open it from the top, side, or front. I also love the pee pad feature. I also ordered a pack of pee pads that works with this carrier. It seems very well made and is also a very nice-looking carrier. My only concern is its size. I was surprised to see how small it is on the inside. I am hoping this will still work when my puppy grows into a full-size Toy Aussie.
