With the weather being so hot lately, we have been having more playdates inside. We were using another version of natures miracle but the odor was just too strong for me to tolerate. And it would last for days. That wasn’t an issue much in the past as our last chihuahuas were well house trained and only had issues with kidney stones, or aging. But now we adopted a chi mix who has to be tranquilizer to be inside his cage AND at 3 is not house trained AND he’s petrified to go outside. We finding this was a real blessing. IF you follow the directions you will never have a stain. As with all enzymatic type urine removers, the odor is sometimes worse than the urine odor. This does have an odor BUT it’s SO much more tolerable, as I have trouble with odors. All of the reviews that state this thing works are true. My teenagers were in charge of keeping the litterbox clean because we have two cats. They do an excellent job of keeping up with it in general. They did, however, become a touch sluggish over the break. The product works well. Unfortunately I have to keep it around because I have 2 large dogs that get into fights. The spray does most of the breaking up of the fight but it takes the whole can. If the can is not completely full as I've come to learn it isn't enough to help me break up the fight. I wish the can held a few more ounces. The product is expensive but each time I need to re-stock I research to find the best price and Valley Vet always seems to have the lowest even factoring in the shipping fee. We adopted him 1 1/2 years ago and didn't know his temperament entirely, but noticed his aggression. I've been through at year of training with him, but still there's an occasional problem. SpraySheild has effectively diverted the dogs' attention to allow me and other owners/handlers to intervene safely to prevent a real dog fight. I have also used it to intervene with other dogs fighting, all in dog parks. Again, it was hugely effective. The other owners mostly thanked me, after finding that it is safe to the dog, and so effective. Some owners have been upset, but this is mostly calmed when they realize that they may have saved from huge vet bills to the dogs that might have occurred in the fight, or hospital bills for dog bites if they had been bitten trying to intervene.John S.
Every once in awhile my Mother’s miniature poodles get into a scuffle and they really don’t want to stop. Yelling, and pulling them apart hasn’t been the best solution. And the spray shield worked! In fact I’m going to order some more. I have one on the kitchen counter and one in my mom’s room. It’s so comforting to know we can now break them up easily! And my hope is that eventually they won’t fight because they know the spray shield is there! Highly recommend this product!BRWS

I wanted to make sure I gave it a chance before I wrote my review. My cat peed on my bed and it got thru my blanket, sheet, mattress topper and it got on my mattress. I washed everything else a few times and that took care of the smell on all of that but I couldn’t get the pee away from my mattress. It smelled at night and I couldn’t fall asleep and I tried every pet stain remover we had in our house. So I decided no harm in trying this… I used it for two days. Sprayed really close to the mattress and let it soak. Then I took a damp rag and scrubbed and did that about twice. The second day I just sprayed it and then an hour later I blow dried it to help it dry faster. It worked! I can’t smell the pee anymore (thank god) and I can finally sleep! Well, it works! Usually I use natures miracle but it wasn’t actually cleaning my carpet that well and the smell was just insane after a while. A couple of minutes after scrubbing this into my carpet in some spots where my dog had marked hard, I didn’t think it was going to work and I could still smell the urine but after an hour of letting it air out, the stains were gone except one bad one (I’d expect that and will just try using this again in that spot more thoroughly as it was lightened back up by 50%) and the smell was gone and everything smelled good again. Took some elbow grease but it works well for bad pet stains and smells.Hannah
Omg!!! I’m impressed! My son and puppy marked their territory in a couple places in the house and we could never get the smell out. It was embarrassing and we haven’t had anybody over because of it. With the weather being so hot lately, we have been having more playdates inside. But sometimes that may lead to accidents from other furiends, which can be a problem when we have mostly carpet inside our home. With our most recent playdate, one dog friend had an accident. After it was cleaned up and then several sprays (just to be sure) of Advanced Platinum No More Marking for Indoor Training, no other dogs had mark the same area. I foster dogs for a rescue, as well as dogsit. With new dogs, there's always a small period of teaching them the house rules, and also establishing a normal potty routine. Also, some dogs are more prone to marking than others. Needless to say, accidents have happened at my place from time to time. What's frustrating is despite using an enzyme cleaner, you still get that one dog that can still smell something, so they decide to pee on that spot. This product has been helpful in deterring. I just used this for the first time today because we have a cat that has gotten in the habit of peeing outside her litter box. It's pretty simple to use and smells nice. A friend bought this for us so I'm not sure I would have purchased it myself. There are some homemade remedies online that might work as well but don't smell as nice. I have to admit, the scent is surprising. I thought it would very chemically but it's nice. I'll update this review to see if it helped stop the cat with her bathroom issues.cheryl.b

I had a large amount of cat urine on two very expensive oriental rugs. I used the product as directed, poured one entire bottle on each rug. The both rugs had a very strong perfume smell which dissipated after a couple of weeks. If you get your nose down to the carpet now (one month later) you can still smell the perfume but there is no odor of cat urine. The room does not smell perfume like. I didn't know what to think from reading the other reviews. Some swear it worked, others say it was useless. Here's my experience. When my Bernedoodle first got sprayed, I used the hydrogen peroxide formula you read about all over the Internet. Although, it got all the yellow stain off his coat, the smell was still horrendous. I waited a week thinking it would dissipate over time but there was no improvement whatsoever. Accordingly, I set out to purchase a commercial product and settled on Nature’s Miracle. Initially, I didn’t think it had worked at all – I was in the camp of the 1 star reviews. But then I noticed a small improvement the following day, maybe 10-20%. You might think it was just time not the product, but trust me, after living with the smell for over a week I could tell there was an improvement not related solely to the passage of time. I called the Nature’s Miracle support line to ask how often I could reapply it without harming my dog’s coat. The agent advised repeat applications were fine as long as I waited a few days in between. More importantly, she advised that I should not rinse him off before using it, like you normally do before applying shampoo. That was my mistake with the first application. I had assumed he had to be rinsed first in order for the product to lather up. In any event, after a second “dry-coat” application Nature’s Miracle got rid of at least 90% of the smell…hallelujah! So, follow the instructions, apply it dry and repeat if necessary…it will work. My only advice to the company is to add “Do not rinse first” to the instructions. It just seems natural to rinse before shampooing your dog, washing your car or whatever so adding that little tidbit of information should help customers like me to apply it properly the first time.Hombre
This was an ok cleaner for pet related messes. I bought the one that has enzymes that is suppose to help neutralize the smell. I have a small chihuahua and even though she’s trained to go to the bathroom outside or on a pee pad, she still sometimes loves to go on any carpets/mats we have lying around our house. This spray helped with cleaning that up but I honestly didn’t really notice it helping to eliminate or neutralize the urine smell. It got most of the stain out but to get rid of the smell or to prevent her from going back to that same spot, I still have to take the carpet and wash it in my washing machine. It’s handy to have if she eats something bad and throws up on the tile or hardwood floor but in terms of neutralizing smell, not so much. Would I buy it again? Maybe. This is the second time in 3 weeks our black lab has been sprayed by a skunk. People had referred us to this the first time after the fact. This time we did the home remedy of 1 quart hydrogen peroxide, 1/4 cup baking soda and a teaspoon of dawn. We did that twice, then use a full bottle of Nature’s Miracle Skunk Odor Remover. Instead of using dog shampoo like the product recommends after sitting in the dogs for 5 minutes, we really worked in baking soda into the fir before we washed off this product. Maybe my dogs are just too much. We used everyday (sometimes twice per day) in a particular area of the yard. We even put chairs in the area to keep them from digging. After moving the barrier (chairs) and continuing to use the spray, the dogs were laying on the area and then digging. It has only been a week but we will continue to try to break the habit. I like the idea of natural deterrent. On another note, the customer service seems great and very fast delivery. This product is definitely worth a try.Gillon H.
We recently had 7000 sq feet of landscape rocks put in our back yard. Our dog started putting the rocks in her mouth and even swallowed some. Thankfully she vomited them up. In the new lawn I'd planted, large yellow areas developed near the sidewalk, probably caused by dogs using it to do their business. I bought Dog Mace and have used it for two weeks now, the first week every day, and since then intermittently. I wish I could give this product 10 stars. It is an absolute miracle worker. This is the dog formula, and it comes in a variety of scents, but the scent doesn't matter. This will take a giant dog urine stain out of white fabric right in front of your eyes. If you get a black light and find the spots around your house, you can use this and see that it takes everything away. There is also a different formula for cats since their urine is different. I've had pets my entire live and always battled the problem with spraying, marking, and/or poor potty habits, and these products have completely changed my life.frances.m
I bought this because my dog peed on the bath rug twice when I was away from home too long. After using the spray, she began to use the rug a little more often. I moved and threw out the old rug without thinking too much about it. After a couple times of being gone too long, she peed in a couple spots around the new house so I tried the spray again. Now she pees in the house 1-3 times per week, where I've sprayed. So, at the very least, the spray doesn't work. Now that I've read reviews on other NM products, I wonder if she wants to pee because of the spray. Save yourself the frustration and just don't buy it.Jess J88
Bought a house and while having new floors installed they found a lot of spots where dogs had lifted their leg peed all over the walls! Gross! The floor installers acted as if that's a normal thing. I've never had a dog hike their leg inside my house and pee! Anyways, I had to quickly research what was best and then what was available close by. Nature's miracle was within the top five. During the initial spraying time it smelled great. It was the original scent. I soaked all of the areas and then let it dry overnight. I then soaked the areas more in the morning because the smell came back. Eventually within approximately 36 hours the smell was gone by only approx 60%. The solution was to put in the floor and seal the smell in. Luckily that worked but not truly a fix. If I had more time I probably would have gone to another store further away and chosen a different product but due to the installers having a short time frame I could not. I would not recommend on deep set in stains odors.
