Ordered two Yeti 8-cup dog bowls with customization – one Nordic Blue and one Nordic Purple. These bowls are great! They are heavy which we like. That and the non skid bottom make them very stable on our tile floors. Also like that these are food grade bowls. The lettering (customization) shows up better on the purple than on the blue. Considering the customization the bowls arrived in a resonable amount of time. Yeti kept us informed of where we were in the process. We have 6 dogs, so I'm sure we will be ordering some more. I enthusiastically recommend this pet bowl! I love, love, love this bowl! I've tried many & this is the one that is easiest to use & clean & doesn't slide around once on the floor. It also has a PERMANENT (not removable) rubber gripper on the bottom that functions very well. Because it is not removable, no water gets stuck between the gripper & the bowl to mildew or otherwise cause problems. It's super easy to clean by hand or run through the dishwasher & the hammered stainless is actually quite attractive & hides scratches. I found the first bowl like this at TJ Maxx, but sought out another one here because I liked it SO WELL – that way I can be washing one while using the other.
i really wanted to love these bowls, they are a great size, they look good…but the coating is not as advertised. copper finish, implies that there is copper. i expected them to have a thin layer of plated metal but instead they have a copper colored plastic film. although i think this should be made clear on the website, this would probably not have been a big deal had one of the bowls not arrived scratched. we ordered 2 bowls, one came looking perfect and one came scratched and used looking. i dont think it was actually used and returned but it looked like it had at some point had stuff setting in it, that scratched it. after only a couple weeks of use, the bowl that came scratched is now peeling and little chunks of the plastic coating are coming off in our puppies food. very similar to what happens to a scratched teflon pan. needless to say, we cant allow our puppy to use it and now need to purchase two new bowls so we can again have a matching set.juliet z.

I bought a couple of Bella bowls from a farmer's supply store and loved them so I wanted to get more for all of my dogs. They take up less space & are easy to put into the dishwasher. I have given each one of my dogs a different color. That makes it easy at feeding time as my dogs receive different amounts of food and I can easily see who the bowl of food belongs to. The only negative that I have encountered so far is that the rings are not precise in size so some of them will not fit well onto another bowl (either too loose or too tight.) I am using this for a 75 lb doberman. It is a good height for her and it's nice to have her food and water together. She can be messy at times and this is easy to wipe clean. The bowls go in and out easily, but what I have done is place her old food bowl inside the stainless steel one. It is smaller in diameter and fits right inside the one that came with the feeder. It has the added advantage of catching additional spills. My only complaint would be that the feeder is light weight and can be easily scooted around on a tile floor. I think this is a bad design, the bowl I got is prone to food/bacteria getting stuck under the screw-on "stanchions" in the middle. I didn't realize that the bowl wasn't one piece. You have to unscrew the "stanchions" after every feeding to clean it and they don't screw back on easily… they tend to want to screw on leaning to one side. Also, the rubber band around the base of the bowl is loose as, I assume, it's meant to come off for cleaning because it's also prone to trap dirt/food. Once I took it off the first time, it was impossible for me to put it back on. Overall, very inconvenient at this high price and they would not allow returns. The bowl is pretty much just gathering dust in my pantry. I'm very disappointed with it.Julie

The rubber slow eat drop in liners I tried cannot be glued to stainless steel or plastic (I attempted several methods) so they were chewed up in one day. I have two large breed dogs, weighing 60-70 pounds, and after trying several different techniques to slow their eating, I believe this is the last bowl I will ever have to buy as it seems to be made very well. My cat is a pig. She meows, instead of oinks! All she wants to do is eat…and eat fast!!! She doesn't even chew her food….Swallows dry food like they are pills!, and then immediately throw it all up. She doesn't like wet food. I would put some kind of an obstacle in her regular dish. I would use a golf ball, but I don't have one. Anyway, it would slow her down, but it wasn't ideal. The Durapet bowl does work, no more throwing up. It is a lot larger than what I expected. It won't fit in the cat feeding stand that I have for her. I wish it were smaller in diameter, but I guess if it were…then she wouldn't be able to fit her face in the trough area…so it has to be large. The bottom line….it worksMissPiggiesMom
I hate giving this a bad review. This is a VERY good product and the idea of it is GREAT. HOWEVER, saying that, it does NOT work for my dachshund. He was rescued from the streets and we have had him almost 3 years, however he is a FAST and I mean even the daycare couldn't believe it. We had recently tried the durapet PLASTIC feeder which should have slowed him down.. but it didn't.. We have another doxie and now HE gobbles his down fast because the minute Harry is done (like a minute..no lie) he tries to get Grinser's food. So I was hoping this would work. I WILL say it stays PUT .. like glue..EXCELLENT.. but it just doesn't work for Harry. I gave it 4 stars because I don't want a bad review to keep someone from trying it. I'm hoping maybe someone who reads this will have some advise? Thank you.Jan
The medium bowl holds 2 cups of food max, so if your pet eats more than that you will need the bigger bowl. This bowl has slowed down my dog's intake. Not a lot, but enough to stop his regurgitation. I also now feed him twice a day instead of once. I bought an extra bowl for water, but at this point I am only giving him 1 cup at a time, so I don't know if this bowl works well for that. My dog had been eating too much too fast and then drinking water causing the regurgitation. It's been 2 weeks now and no regurgitation. I went into the store to order these bowls to take advantage of free shipping and to use the 20% off coupon. I paid $15.99 for each bowl. They are well made and have the slip grip on the bottom. I have a tall stand for my dog's bowls and I was pleased that these fit..Debbie

I bought the smallest for my toy-sized puppy. They are so cute! and hold his full meal. The bowls did not work for a water bowl, as puppy constantly tipped them over. I switched to a jug-and-bowl type dispenser.I bought 4, so some can be in the dishwasher. They wash easily by hand as well, also my puppy is happy to lick them clean and then carry the bowl around. He chews on them, like his toys, and they have not shown any scuffing to the finish.Grandi

My Kelpie/Heeler puppy inhales his food, so I thought a slow feeder may help. After looking around, I thought the design of the Outward Hound Fun Feed Dog Bowl might be just the ticket. It arrived today. I put a small amount of kibble into it and after a good ten minutes of trying to get at the food, my puppy decided the only way to get at it was to turn the bowl upside down! It worked, but the few biscuits I put in there were inhaled, so no slow feeding here! The only way a dog is going to get at the food is by using its tongue. The ridges are too close together to get a mouth in. If using kibble, the tongue just chases it around the bowl and never gets a purchase on it. I can imagine that a dog may manage to get at wet food, but there will be a large percentage of wastage as even wet food will still be playing chasey around the bowl when it gets low. I've wasted $31 on this bowl, so I won't be wasting more money on wet food that will end up in the sink. Give this one a wide berth.Michelle
Let me preface this review by saying that I am not familiar with the Outward Hound brand, and have never used one of their products. That being said, I was quite interested in trying out this slow feeding dog bowl because my dog needs to slow down her eating habits quite a bit. For ease of use, I will break this review down into categories. Design – The design of this dog bowl is just fantastic! Sleek lines and a glossy, teal finish that really give it a fun vibe that I happen to enjoy in the products I use. The the ridges and valleys of the bowl also seem well rounded so that the whole package is really quite a treat, pun intended. Functionality – The bowl functions perfectly, effectively forcing my dog to take her time a bit more…resulting in a feeding time about sixty percent longer than normal according to my testing. Even better, she actually would leave some in the bowl so I know it is letting her know she is full before she is finishing! Verdict – 5 out of 5! I really can't recommend this product enough! I will definitely be keeping tabs on this brand for any other products they put out as well as telling my friends about them. Could not be any more satisfied!Justin
Lately my Redbone has been inhaling his food and I worry about him doing this. I tried combatting it with small, frequent meals, but he'll still gobble it down in seconds. Sometimes he'll eat so fast that he then regurgitates it (different than vomiting). So, when I had the chance to try out this Outward Hound Stop Bloat Slow Feeder Bowl, I was really excited. I chose the Large size as my dog is 85lb. It arrived in pristine shape and was way larger than I expected it to be. I only feed him about 1-1.5 cups of food per meal, so could definitely have tried the medium as well. This bowl will hold a lot of food. I even think it would work well for dogs that tank up on water. This bowl is probably a good 11-12" in diameter. The surface is very smooth and very easy to clean. There are four ring troughs, the central two being the largest. We feed a combo of wet and dry and it is still easy to fill the bowl. This has taken my dog from wolfing his food down in about two gulps to actually spending a minute or so eating. He likes to lick all the nooks and crannies after, too, so I think the bowl is vaguely entertaining to him as well. I would definitely recommend this bowl for dogs who eat too fast.
