Best Dog Blower For Huskies (Jan 2023 Update)

This is a powerful dryer and I love it. It arrived earlier than expected and just in time to give Delilah, one of my standard poodles, a much-needed bath. In no time flat, voila! Delilah looks like a champion, all smooth, straight, soft, & fluffy–compared to Ayla, my other standard, who looks like she was attacked by an out-of-control leaf blower (actually my under-achiever blow dryer). The dryer NEVER gets hot! There are two settings, neither being very weak–be sure that nothing is in the way of the nozzle when you switch on the dryer. I was not prepared for the force of the dryer and everything in its wake blew all over the place, again, emphasizing the force behind this compact dryer. It goes without saying but I'll say it anyway: Do NOT aim the nozzle at the dog until you have it under control. Why a 4-star rating, if I love it so much? It is LOUD. If the noise could be muted, I'd give it a 10! My solution was to put lots of cotton balls in my sweet girl's ears. This helped tremendously. (If you have a teeny tiny dog, you may prefer a less mighty dryer as you could very well end up blowing your pup across the room with anything else that gets in the way. I have a Aussiedoodle he is one year old and as more of a Australien Shepard coat than a Poodle coat. It take a very long time for his coat to dry that is why I both this dryer. It is very loud on high speed. I have used it a few times and find’s that it doesn’t dry he’s coat quickly.Chewie

I have the Dri-Eaz dryer for my personal use but bought this one for my daughter for use on her standard poodle. This Metro Air Commander dryer is so small but so powerful. I love it. Since I also use mine as a blower to sweep my decks this one would be so much easier to carry around. The price I paid was excellent. Our senior Husky can no longer stand for long periods at the groomer and when our groomer who worked with this then decided to no longer do huskies we decided to try it ourselves. This really works and we can do it often enough – in shorter periods – so that he will no longer be uncomfortable !! It works so well!!Shar

Hands down the best dog shampoo. I have a 90lb Great Pyrenees with A LOT of fur and this shampoo makes her smell amazing! She is always so soft and her coat looks ap pretty once she is all dry. I will never buy a different shampoo. We also use the spray deodorizer on her to make her smell good for a few hours when she isnt fresh and clean. Bio-Groom has great products!M.G.

My dog is a short haired dog and doesn't require to much up keep. He does have some dry skin. He always has, so I have to make sure that whatever I use doesn't dry his skin out. When we got him groomed in the past our groomer used bio groom and she told us it was good for his skin. She used a different type but the same brand. I decided to go with the oatmeal shampoo and conditioner. I love it! His skin isn't dry, his coat looks smooth, and shiny plus he smells great! I will stick with this brand for now on.Leia

This shampoo should help my pups to not scratch and be itchy. They are scratching non stop since I've been using this shampoo! I'm not sure if it is an allergy or the shampoo. I have noticed that my pups do not stay clean smelling with this particular shampoo. I'm switching back to Bio Groom Whitening Shampoo and a different conditioner!K.C.

We just purchased our second Husqvarna 150BT 50CC 2 Cycle Gas Leaf Backpack Blower. We bought our first one two years ago and have been using it almost daily for about 9 months out of the year since then. I own and operate a small lawn maintenance business (About 50 regular customers) and my helper and I work our equipment pretty hard. We normally average doing five to seven customer's lawns a day and have been very satisfied with the quality of this blower so far. It cranks easily, blows with enough air volume and velocity to get our work done. I would recommend this blower for residential and small commercial lawn maintenance use.simmental76

I'm not a landscaper, and don't require a HUGE leaf blower, yet I want more than the simple electric version. The Husqvarna 150BT is the perfect bridge between these two worlds. It has ample pressure to lift the leaves and gobs, yes GOBS of air volume to insure those leaves take a hike. It's fairly easy to start–lots of compression, so you'll want a strong arm. I can't say enough about this machine, I mean, I'm REALLY impressed. Another thing: I haven't purchased a blower previously because I didn't want to spend $500.00 for a professional machine, but at $250.00, this blower doesn't break the bank–wish I would have known about this years ago.johninlow

I purchased this blower to help with the fall leaves. We live on 3 acres with a significant lawn surrounded by trees. Previously I could spend the better part of a day cleaning this up with a rake or small blower. This Husqvarna does the entire lawn in a little over 3 hours and doesn't disturb the new grass seedlings. It is surprisingly quiet and very comfortable to wear. I bought the Husqvarna blower about five months ago directly from the brand site. Even though I live in the desert, we have some serious debris and brush that I am convinced has a personal vendetta against me. Husqvarna has been my favorite part of my summer. Husqvarna 125BVX blowers are light weight so carrying them is a pinch. It is extremely easy to use, turn on or off, and store. It is extremely strong to get you through any job no matter how large or how small. Now let's talk bells and whistles! Husqvarna 125BVX has the capacity to blow up to 175 mph and has a 425 CFM air volume. It will literally blow you away! It is 16:1 mulching capable, too! It mulches people! You do have to use the vac function and mulching knives but at Husqvarna's prices, it is inexpensive to make your blower amazing. The blower has smart stop which makes it start easier and faster as well! The stop switch automatically turns to on to maximize how quickly and efficiently it starts the next time. This blower even has cruise control! Variable speed throttle can be set for maximum ease when you handle it! This Husqvarna 125BVX blower is worth every penny. I purchased this product solely for the vacuum component and have been very disappointed in its design. The bagger does not come off without having a tool on hand, forcing me to keep the bagger attached to the blower while emptying the bag. Also, when operating as a vacuum, the exhaust shoots into my face. After a less than an hour of use, the fumes get overwhelming. Once the bagger and vacuum hose has been attached, the blower no longer sits on the ground in a level manner that would allow easy fueling and pressing down on the blower while starting since the plastic bagging attachment extends past the lower end of the unit. The blower can be turned sideways to alleviate part of the offset problem, but then it is sitting on the gas tank sideways which makes me uncomfortable even though it does not leak. I have used it twice at this point for about three hours each usage and plan to only use it for blowing from now on. The vacuum portion was a waste of money since it seems to be poorly designed. On the positive side, the blower starts and runs great. The blower has plenty of power for a hand held and mulches quite nicely.David100

I wish I had known about this item a long time ago! So far I've only used it once but I was able to vacuum up a bunch of leaves and mulch them. I had no problem assembling it and figuring out how to switch between blowing and mulching. Based on other reviews I decided on this model. I figured at age 69 it should last as long as I need it. I agree with another reviewer that a wider strap would be more comfortable but overall I found it pretty comfortable to use.Volume not too bad on the lower speed but probably ear protection would be good on high.mrsperk76

Dunno 'bout the complaints I'm reading, but I have one of the older models–had it ~10 years–and the motor finally burned out. But I used it a lot–my neighbors have 3 poorly maintained oak trees that span over my house, and I'm constantly buried in the debris from December to September (I'm in FL). GRRR. So I used it 4-5 times a week, and ~10 years is not bad for an inexpensive electric tool. I paid like $45 for it at WallyWorld. I also used the vac a lot, to pick up the oak leaves from hard-to-get places (like in rock beds that have heavier rocks) and my back yard (totally enclosed–nowhere to blow the leaves). Can't use it in areas that have small, light rocks (like pea gravel) 'cause it's too powerful (even on the low setting) and sucks up the rocks (likewise areas that have mulch, if you have that). Instead, for that I use my shop vac w/ the wide (sweeper-type) attachment. Ergo, little wear-n-tear on the impeller blades; after ~10 years, mine still look almost new. It's true that it doesn't completely mulch oak leaves, but oak leaves are small and get sucked up past the impeller blades easily. The claim that it turns 10 bags into 1 is pure fantasy. For oak leaves, you're better off using dedicated plastic yard cans than trash bags (trust me on this–I have 2). It's still much easier than raking and shoveling leaves all day. You'll want to keep the bag clean; it has pores to allow fine dirt to filter out, and they can get clogged. Hose it down until the water runs clear, let it dry and you're set. My only complaint w/ the old model was how the bag attached to the unit–it wasn't well-thought out, and if I didn't keep the bag really clean, the build-up of pressure would blow it right off. But the newer model looks like it has a much better designed attachment. I'm going over today to pick up this new model and expect another ~10 years of use (or abuse, in my case). For $53, it's really about the best option as both a blower (ever try to rake oak leaves out of St. Augustine Floritam?) & vac. You can pay lots more, but I doubt you'll get any more functionality. It's just a yard tool, right?smitty

My blower/vac arrived this morning. I'll bet that the FedEx delivery person had a chuckle when he saw all the zillions of tree berries all over my driveway and front walk so even he knew why I purchased this item. I assembled the unit to do vacuuming and went to work on my ugly tree droppings in my front yard and driveway. Even in the low speed it picked up everything quickly and easily, so I didn't disturb the neighbors. I used to broom and pick up the berries and leaves, and it took me an hour or two to do that. But the vacuum did the job in a hurry, so I was done in 20 minutes. I did have to dump the bag about 3 times. Since I am 6-02 tall, I have to lean over slightly to use the unit, and this is wearing. It is really set up for someone who is a little shorter than I am. Do wear ear plugs and wear a face mask. And after I came back into the house, SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED insisted that I change out of my somewhat dusty clothes. I haven't tried the blower yet. The case and parts need dusting with an old paint brush to get the dust off of them before storage. I'll have to clear off a shelf in my garage to store the unit because, with so many pieces, it is a bit of a storage problem. I am really glad I bought it because it will save me a lot of work. I've been using Bio-Groom products for years and they are amazing. I've never used a product–specifically the Bio-Groom Silk Conditioner–that leaves such a beautiful long-lasting scent on my amazing shelter dogs! The best part is that the shampoo is SOAP-FREE which is better if you use topical flea & tick treatment–it doesn't weaken the treatment. Also–it is most likely tear-free! The blower works great, kind of heavy, but workable, They said they are going to add a chest strap to the harness…which is a must because of the weight. I am still waiting for mine after 6 months. The only downside is with their Website, They have no on-line chat and do not have a support portal for manuals. I misplaced my operations manual and had to call them to get a copy. In order for them to send me one I had to be sent a Dropbox link because they said the file was to large to send it via normal e-mail. With todays technology I don't understand why these manuals can't be reduced and put on their Website so you can easily access them. Other than that the blower itself is great!!!!! I like the leaf blower for its power. Unhappy with the fact that there was NO owner's or Instruction Manual supplied with the product. It took a little experimenting to determine the order of the blower's hoses and clamps and I still don't think I have it set up correctly. Unhappy with the amount of fuel it uses, even with the larger fuel tank I go thru the tank in about 1 hour. Would be nice if you could build a 4 cylinder engine so no oil is needed in the fuel mix.Paul M.

I love my new Flex Jobsite Blower. I am amazed how powerful it is being that it is so lightweight. I love that it is cordless and doesn’t require gas and oil. No cords to unwrap, just press the trigger and blow! The blower is very powerful for easy cleanup after working in my shop! This is perfect for cleaning off sawdust in the work area. This little jobsite blower is awesome! The ruggedness of it makes it so it isn't impacted by dust and debris flying in the air. The fact that the hosing of it is made of rubber instead of plastic was such a great design feature because it just adds to the durability of it. And, this little thing is powerful! I got this a week ago and have used it every day. When I first opened it I thought that it wasn't going to be that powerful because it is compact and on the small side. I was truly amazed at how powerful this thing was. It has a couple different options from low to high and then the top has a turbo button on it. I use it to blow off leaves, dirt, and grass from under my open carport. The kids are always tracking dirt and things from the yard and my wife is always sweeping it right back off. With this it takes 2-3 minutes easily. I do work in cabinets and used it for a blower to get wood dust off me and it worked like a charm.btitus2021

I had this vacuum for 18 years (until our stable burned down 6 days ago :'( ). Mine had excellent suction … it was a bit difficult to pull away if it latched onto my hand or the horse. I was totally happy with it, and it lasted a LONG time … was still going strong. I will definitely order a replacement when the barn is rebuilt.tihn

I used this to clean up my Percheron Draft Horses before our local Christmas parade. This time of year I don't like to bathe the horses even with warm water. This really lifted the dirt out and made them look soft and shiny.N/A

I can't say enough good things about this vacuum. I can use it in the winter and avoid having to bathe my horse when it's freezing. I can give fewer baths year round (my horse's feet weren't great when I got him so I try to avoid unnecessary water). It gets them really clean and most horses not only tolerate it, but they really enjoy it. The attachments are great – I especially love the curry comb type attachments around shedding time). It's lightweight, on wheels and has a shoulder strap so it's easy to move around or even take to shows. I did alot of research on the internet prior to the purchase and Schneiders definitely had the lowest price.ccc

I bought the 230iB leaf blower last fall and the battery charger stopped working after 3 weeks of usage. It took 3 months to get a new charger. Raked leaved by hand. Well, it is fall and guess what? The charger does not charge again. It had been stored inside in winter. So frustrated. DO not buy this product!Lynne

For many years and many different blowers……tried them all. Not one can compare to the Greenworks 80V blower. Light weight, powerful and a long lasting battery. It weighs so much less than my previously owned gas models. You dont get tired with this one. Power? unmatched in my opinion. Wet leaves, twigs, pavement or tall grass, nothing this blower wont handle. The battery lasts longer than advertised, and when it does run out, it only takes about 30 min. to charge. No gas, no maintenance, no worries with this one. I have purchased (so far) 4 tools from Greenworks (lawn mower, blower, chain saw and a hedge trimmer, each one is awesome. This greenworks pro 80volt blower is so nice and easy to use ! It is more than powerful enough ! I use it almost daily. I have had it for several months now, and it does not disappoint ! Love the 80 volt Greenworks tools. This blower came with a battery and charger. That makes the blower just about free, considering the price of the battery and charger separately. Can't beat this Walmart price and it was delivered on time. I've been using the 80 volt chainsaw for a few months now and haven't need to start my gas powered chainsaw even once, but did have to wait between charges. About 30 minutes a charge. With this new battery, I'll be able to keep on cutting. The blower is strong and quiet and is a great plus. One pleasant surprise, was the boost button that gave an additional boost of air when needed.Joe
