I agree that my dog, a lab hates the flavor and was seeking out the pill and spitting it out until I tried baby food turkey and chicken in the little jars. I use a baby spoon and bury the pill in the meat. She gobbles it up and does even notice even the pill. We do it on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. Now she runs to the spot where the pills are and waits for the treat. Give it a try, and, yes, Denamarin is making a difference in her blood work – a real God send.DixieGirl47

My 12 year old Shiba Inu had 850 liver enzymes. That's so bad and I was so stressed. She has been on this stuff for over 1 year and now her enzymes are about 420. I read some other reviews on how people are getting their dog to take the pill and I laughed because it's what I do also! I wrap a little thin slice of turkey or cheese on top and she takes it with no trouble.K9 love

Cocker has “dry eyes and prescribed steroids and cyclosporine twice daily each eye. Suspect his extremely elevated liver enzymes may be due to long term steroid use or could just be his age. Haven’t tested for Cushing’s but sonograms reveal no tumors on liver or pituitary glands. He was lethargic and never feeling well until his doctor advised trying the Denamarin. His Opthalmologist concurred it was a great idea. Haven’t yet tested his liver enzymes again to see if the numbers have improved (hasn’t been on them quite a full month) but I’ve reordered and will receive the pills monthly. Bottom line: he’s a lot more energetic, playing with his toys again, not sleeping all the time, just overall feeling so much better. He’s acting normal again—normal for an 11-plus year-old Cocker. Did a lot of research before giving him the Denamarin and felt they were safe, and most people had positive results using it. Only drawback would be that the pills for large dogs are really big. You’re supposed to administer 1 hr before or 2 hrs after a meal, which I do with a little piece of boiled chicken breast to hide it and help it go down, and it goes down without a problem. Can’t imagine any dog of any size being able to swallow a pill that size without an owner hiding it in a little chunk of something, cheese, pill pocket, treat. Anything to help it go down easier. And helps if they drink a little water. Can’t wait to have his liver enzymes tested again. I’m confident they will have improved. Side note: when one’s liver is not working properly, urine can have an odd and strong odor, which his did. Standing several feet away, I knew something wasn’t right. That too has resolved which makes me believe his liver is on the mend.Yvonne

I bought this about a month ago and finally used it on my dogs today. It was nice consistency, I used it at its full potency, however next time I will dilute it a little to make the bottle last even longer. The instructions say you can dilute 1 part conditioner to 10 parts water. My frenchie has sensitive skin and this product worked great on him, no issues. He smells nice and clean with the combo of a probiotic shampoo I used and this product. It says it’s fragrance free so any scent is naturally dervivedf from the oatmeal and aloe. I recommendElda P

I don\'t like scented products. Not sure why a dog needs to smell pretty and have to smell it on themselves with those sensitive noses. This shampoo is used daily on my Yorkie\'s paws and her hair by her tail (long and silky). It removed the dirt and grit well and rinses easily. NO chemicals at all. She doesn\'t gnaw at her paws so I know it isn\'t irritating her like other shampoos. It is tearless which is a relief since washing her head is not her favourite thing-I end up soaked sometimes. I am always afraid of damaging her eyes and while this of course needs to be rinsed if it gets in her eyes, I know that the sulfates that can cause cataracts are not in this shampoo.Svelte

I recently adopted a cat from the shelter. As I was having a bath one night, I discovered she loves water! (It was fairly obvious after she jumped into the tub with me and didn't want to leave). I began bathing her with some awful-smelling grocery store products which shall remained unnamed. I had to go to the pet store a few days later and decided to find something hopefully far better than what I had. I was so happy to pick up a bottle of this and have a look at those amazing ingredients! Coco had a bit of dermatitis near her tummy that's now completely gone after just three bathing sessions. The colloidal oatmeal and aloe vera have improved her skin and coat tremendously! Also: the scent is refreshing and not overpowering. i bought this shampoo based on the positive reviews for itchy skin issues. my min pin that has allergies,badly, on cytopoint,special diet,limited treats,flea control and limited exposure to outdoors due environmental allergies. i tried the shampoo,smell isnt over bearing, pleasent better than doggie b.o, hair soft and shiney and skin soft pliable, doesnt feel like his skin will tear or chaffing. however,two days after his bath he has dandruff on his back.so my question is for those that left positive reviews did you use the conditioner,as well as the shampoo? i only used the shampoo ,lathered,and rinsed and dried him off best i could. it seems to accomplish cleaning not remoisturize his skin, he has very dry flaky skin on back and hairloss. anyone else experience this and if so did the conditioner to the trick or move on to another formula or brand that worked better for them. i have tried quite a number of other and got tired cluttering under my sink and gave to shelter.holliaj48

This shampoo smells really good and it definitely brightens up my little guy! There's is a noticeable difference after i bath him in this. After lathering, you have to leave it on for about 5 minutes, as with all purple shampoos. I make sure to put a heavy amount on his paws and bum. These are areas that's tend to strain over time. In between baths, i clean his paws with this as well, leaving it on for 5 minutes then thoroughly rinsing. After he's all dried, he doesn't seem irritated so i believe it is NOT drying out his skin like some brightening shampoos are known for.natalie .g

I bought this originally for my nieces new and tiny miniature Dockson puppy and we ended up using it on her other mini Dockson and our poodle. It’s almost impossible to bath your dog or puppy with out them licking the water or the soap on themselves. This soap they can get distracted in licking it and it is gentle enough that it won’t hurt them a bit. *not that I’m suggesting to reward bad habits but if you bath your pets at home then you known the struggle is real!* We still use this even though they aren’t puppies anymore. The other big thing I love about this is I can wash above the neck! I am careful to protect their eyes but it’s so nice to have a shampoo that doesn’t say wash from neck down, leaving your dog still dirty. It does wonders for both the wiener dogs coats-one is short haired, one is long haired. Leaving everyone silky smooth and smelling amazing for days!alicia.m

We adopted an 8 year old cat that has some hip and back leg issues. I think because of that issue he was maybe more comfortable urinating on the floor. I kept his 2 litter boxes immaculate and still issues. I was ready to bring him back to the rescue because I just couldn’t do it anymore but then we saw this at Petco last night and thought it was expensive but worth a shot. I added a 1-2” layer on top of his normal litter and when I got home from work there were 2 urine spots inside of his litter box and zero floor accidents. I can’t believe it. We just bought a new home and replaced the carpet upon moving in. Our now now 10 month old puppy peed a handful of times the first couple days but then stopped once I realized it and worked with him. I’m not sure if this is what caused one of our cats to start peeing on the carpet or what, but he did for months! I didn’t even realize he was at first so I knew that pee was getting soaked in the carpet good. I was trying everything to make him stop. I was using the carpet cleaner every single day with enzymatic soaps. I used vinegar on it, special sprays, everything. He just kept peeing everywhere. I moved the litter box to where he was peeing on the carpet but he still wouldn’t use the litter box. I changed the litter we were using, and it still wasn’t working. I had heard about cat attractant litter but for some reason didn’t think about using it at this time. Well I looked into it again, found this stuff on petco’s website and it got really good reviews so I tried it. As soon as I brought in the bag, all of my cats ran up ahd started smelling the bag and rubbing up against it. I completely emptied and scrubbed the litter boxes really well and put this stuff in one. As soon as I put the litter box down, my cat who was peeing everywhere ran up and immediately went pee in it!!! I’m almost positive he’s been going in there to pee now! I always knew where he was peeing on the carpet because the fibers would be pulled up a bit. Ever since getting this, I haven’t seen that anywhere. This has been a life saver! I was so stressed for 2+ months over this and I cried about it multiple times. The smell of cat pee in my living room was unbearable. Unfortunately the smell of cat pee is still there and I’m working on getting it out, but at least I know our cat isn’t causing there to be more pee. I’ve gone through a couple bags of this litter now. My 1 year old male cat randomly decided to start to poo on the ground next to the litter box. I tried all sorts of types and scents of litter, but none worked. Then I tried this litter. Finally! No more poo next to my litter box. BUT it’s like chiseling ice when scooping the litter box. It’s stuck on tight to the bottom. I’ve noticed that every dr. Elsey litter I’ve tried does the same. I just ordered the “so phresh ultra attract litter” and “naturally fresh verbally attract” today. I am hoping one of those two brands will work just as good to keep my cat in the litterbox without having to chisel it out when he’s done. If not, I guess I’m stuck coming back to this brand and I will continue to chisel litter. Ide also like to add that I scoop my litter daily.Kate1995

My dog went a few days with excessive "goop" from his eyes. Since my dog hasn't had a history with this, and doesn't seem to have seasonal allergies, the vet suggested an antimicrobial for the eye irritation and I went with this ophthalmic gel based on the luck I've had with other Vetericyn products in the past. I started with a tiny drop on the corner of my dog's eye to be sure he wouldn't have any reaction to it. Later that day, I went ahead and applied a few drops in each of his eyes. I applied the gel two times a day for three days in a row and by the fourth day his eyes had stopped having discharge. It is almost like my dog knew the drops would make him feel better as he kept his head very still when I applied the gel to his eyes. The shape of the dispenser where you squeeze the product out of makes it very easy to apply the gel to their eyes. While it is a "gel," it comes out of the dispenser fairly quickly which I find allows for an accurate application. The gel-like substance is great to confirm that you got the gel where you want it to go. I've been super happy with this product for my pup and will most likely get a bottle to have at the barn for my horse as well.SmartPaker Carly

Went out one morning and caught a glimpse of what looked like a little scratch on my horses eye. Upon inspection the eye itself was untouched but the eyelid was cut about an inch long from the back corner towards the front. I cleaned it and figured I would just leave it alone. The next morning it was itchy and irritating her and REALLY swollen. I cleaned her up, applied the Vetericyn ophthalmolic gel, and put a patch over her eye to keep her from rubbing it and repeated this 4 times that day and removed the patch that evening to let it air. By the next morning all the swelling had completely subsided and it was no longer irritating her! I snapped a pic before I cleaned it, then added a 5th dose just for good measure and 5 days later it’s completely healed without a scar to be seen! HIGHLY recommend!Ranch3r1

This product helped me when my dog had an eye wart. The vet said it did not need to be removed until it got to the point that he was scratching at it or it started to affect his vision. During the time of it growing, it started to scab and bleed at times which made me get this product. The anti microbial wash helped keep bacteria out of his eye wart and helped keep infection away. He would play with our other dog constantly and I think this is a great product to have on hand for any cuts and scrapes! It’s basically like neosporin for dogs.chelsea.s

I have had this for over 12 months now and still works brilliantly! I upgraded from a Dyson v6 and the quality of the Miele absolutely outshines the flimsy Dyson! Even using newer Dyson models since the upgrade I feel confident that I made the right choice! I love that when the motor is in the bottom position it is able to stand on its own. No need to lean against the wall or bench, being how I often dropped the Dyson! It is also so easy to move around, other people complain that it’s heavy, but with the motor near the head it is much lighter and incredibly easy to manoeuvre. The design of the head gives it stability and direction, using a Dyson the head often flips around, but the Miele is much like using a standard vacuum, minus the bloody cord! Even with the motor at the bottom I can still get under the bed. It’s just a fabulous machine! My partner is even thrilled with it and often recommends it to people. Great suction, run time and functionality. No complaints from me, and will replace with the same or newer model when the time comes.Rachel23

Purchased this at local Best Buy on sale. It's certainly heavier than the average stick vacuum however, there are options as to how you can set it up: motor on the top or bottom. When the motor is on the bottom, the weight is less of a problem and in this setting, the vacuum can stand upright on its own. I've read reviews that it is loud however, I don't personally find that to be the case. The dirt this picks up is quite impressive. I have a Dyson stick and it doesn't compare to the Meile. I vacuumed carpets with the Dyson first, then again with the Meile. The Meile canister was almost full in 5 minutes. It picks up dirt and dust not visible to the naked eye and missed by the Dyson. Battery power is decent and based on professional reviews, the best on the market. On the lowest setting, Meile says you'll get 60 minutes. It takes about 4 hours to fully charge an empty battery. The dust canister is smallish, but I don't find this an issue as Melie uses a vortex to compact the dirt and dust. It is expensive but Melie says with good care, it'll last 20 years and it's made in Germany. So, you get what you pay for. I have a Meile canister vacuum and I fully believe this vacuum picks up more dirt than the canister. It's also very easy to reconfigure the vacuum to how you wish to use it. Also easy to empty the bin.smack

PROS: I haven't seen a vacuum clean up hidden debris this well since my mother's Swedish canister vacuum of the 1960s, which my little brother used to gleefully ride (a no-no). I'm done buying other stick vacuums that cost $150, last only 12-18 months, and do poorly in the last few months. I'm done feeling grit under my feet even after a vacuuming. This Miele stick vacuum is effectively removing the fine dust that has accumulated in the grooves of my hardwood floors. It has cleaned my wool area rugs so well that the beautiful patterns and colors are now restored. The attached picture shows the fine dirt and residual hair (yes I have a dog) the Miele found less than 24 hours after the last vacuuming by the $150 stick. I love the quietness of the Miele as I am noise-sensitive and this doesn't whine like others. I love that this Miele does not make me tired and sore after a short vacuuming (1150 sf of hardwood, ceramic tile, and smaller area rugs). I have the canister on the lower portion and it creates little to no strain on my lower back or my shoulders ( I am tall and not 20 anymore). It has a low enough profile to get under a good portion of my sofas, beds, and other furniture. This Miele stick vacuum is easy to maneuver, even with my non-dominant hand. CONS: As many others have noted, it's a bugger to empty the basket. I have a little knowledge of the German language, but I doubt it would help, so I reserve my German for a few cuss words. Both of us have read the instructions multiple times, looked carefully at the back of the book diagrams repeatedly and we literally practiced together 4-5 times each on emptying and reassembling the basket and accompanying parts. He remains a bit wary as he doesn't want to man-handle and accidentally break it. It takes practice and lots of patience, steady but sure, to become comfortable with this process. But it is well worth the effort because this Miele stick vacuum is exceptionally good at clean-up. The only other CON is the price. Using my store coupon, I was able to save $100. If this Miele continues to perform well 3 years from now, I will at least break even in cost when compared to my previously purchased $150 sticks, and the cleaning results will be superior if current performance continues. This ScatMat has been awesome in preventing my stubborn Australian Shepherd from getting into my cat’s food area at night when we’re asleep.I’ve been having issues trying to stop my sweet but stubborn dog from always wanting to get into my cats food space even though it’s up on top of a counter. I’ve tried other measures but she always seems to find a way around them until I placed this ScatMat on the floor in front of the entryway to the cats food area at night. I leave enough room for the cats to be able to get to their food plus they have small steps they can use for easy access. It only took about 3-4 days for my dog to realize that the slight sensation isn’t worth it . She only does this at night so it’s put away during the day. It has saved me from the frustration of finding the empty cats food bowls knocked off the counter in the morning. It doesn’t hurt her at all but she definitely doesn’t like the sensation. I mostly love this litter – it clumps better and faster than any litter I have ever used. It has no added fragrance and the scent of the actual litter is almost indiscernible (at least to me with my sinus issues). I'm retired and home all day and since both of my little fur beasts prefer not to bother with covering their stinky poops I scoop those out ASAP and spray a little Caldrea or Mrs. Meyers so I'm not sure how odor control works for stinky poops over a period of time, although I can say that there is never a urine stench, even when there are several clumps in the box (my girl has hyperthyroidism and pees A LOT). I absolutely love that it really is almost 100% dust free. The inside of the black liter box still looks black and shiny – not dull gray from dust accumulation, and my babies never exit the box with a coating of litter dust, as happened with other natural litters in the past (yes, that was gross). It really is great litter. My only complaint with it is that my girl seems to track it EVERY WHERE. My gigantic, big-footed, long haired boy tracks very little, but somehow the smaller short-haired kitty with dainty little paws manages to leave a significant trail of litter every time she goes. We had been using another natural litter and were happy with it, the cats were happy with it, and then they weren’t. We became those people who spent $$$ on vet visits (the cats did have crystals in their urine), special food, special sprays, a shampooer, and couch covers. (At least the shampooer could be used on more than the couch.) My daughter suggested this litter, and we got it. We went from daily incidents to a stretch of ten days without an accident, and now eleven days without an accident. This is a huge weight off of all of us! The cats really like it. The boxes with the previous natural litter go almost unused. The boxes with this litter get used by ALL our cats. It does clump as claimed—we’ve encountered some impressive boulders. I bought this a few weeks ago, and it’s weird because there were no reviews when I bought it, now there ARE reviews which should have shown up—that is super weird to me. If I’d actually seen the reviews, I would not have bought this. This product isn’t great. First of all, it smells so bad, it makes me sick to be in the same room as it is. One of the cats seems to like it, but the leaves keep falling off when she climbs up. On top of that, it’s pretty unstable, no matter how much I try to tighten and level things. I like the feet that adjust, that’s definitely a nice feature on this one, but it doesn’t really help the plastic trunk. It seems like the bottom of the trunk is supposed to flare, which would help, but it’s straight. Also, I think the 60” is supposed to include the leaves, but even with them it’s not that tall. The carpet on the perches isn’t attached well, and was already loose when I put it together, it’s now come off of two of the perches. One thing that’s my fault is that I didn’t notice that the base is covered in turf grass—since my cats are trained to use turf grass in their litterboxes, they thought that’s what they were supposed to do with this, so that’s a bummer. I’ll have to redo the base with some shag carpet and a new piece of plywood. Trying to figure out how to make it more stable and keep the leaves in their holes at this point. I was hoping this would be more stable for my bigger cat so that he can pretend that he is still an outside kitty. The concept is great, but don’t waste your money.PennyANDco801

it's only 60 inches tall if you count the leaves. The leaves also block most of the space that cats could jump onto the tree, making it very intimidating for adult cats to use. Maybe it's fine for kittens? Definitely not great for adult cats. The center pieces are just hard plastic too, not scratch-able. And the leaves are plastic making them very enticing to some cats to chew and eat, potentially causing issues. This tree just seems like it was designed to look fancy in your home, not for cats to actually use and enjoy. The platforms are small for adult cats so they can't lay out and lounge on this tree, but the tree itself doesn't function well as even a platform to jump to other places because of all the leaves in the way.Eero

I have 2 cats and they love it!! It’s about 5 feet tall when it’s put together. Vey easy to put together! The only thing I would change is how the leaves are attached. I think I might super glue mine in. I took one thing of leaves out on each level so they could figure out how to get up to the next level, but I’ll put them back in when they have it all figured out. Also the instructions have the levels all the same direction, but I turned them different directions so it’s easier for them to get to the next level.Robin

I was so excited when the package was delieverd, maybe more than my cat. Very easy set up, I used a power screw gun and that made my job even easier. Once the unit was put together my kitty came right up and started to explore. I put a couple of toys in there and then a few hours later he is passed out on the second ledge looking out. I think that the instructions could have been slightly clearer. Like where to put the screws on the bottom. Where the best placement for each screw.There were bare spots of wood. The inside shelves looked like they were barely primed & definitely not sanded well. The little windows are of no use. What is the point of them? This is suppose to benefit my cat. It is a lot smaller than I realized. I like that I have it, but I will probably build the next one that I have myself.Millie

This is my second kitty house, and it is made well. I have one outside and one inside. It requires some putting together. It has 3 shelves on the inside and can house 3 medium-sized cats (up to 10 lbs.) comfortably, or 2 medium and one large on the bottom. The middle and upper shelf have a cut away so the cats can go from one level to the next, and the middle section has a double door that becomes another entrance if you open it. They can also get in from the side on the bottom level as well. If you need to clean it, there is a great feature where the whole back door unlatches and you can clean the whole inside. A lot of thought went into this house. It is heavy however, and it's good that it is on wheels so it can be easily moved.
